It won't be smutty from the beginning, but it isn't very boring either.

Chapter 1: To Blackmail Snape.
"MISS GRANGER! My office. NOW!" yelled a very angry Snape during the last lesson on Friday afternoon. He was furious, his eyes narrowed intensely. He strolled to his office, his wide black robes billowing behind him.
Hermione looked stunned. "What did I do?" she asked matter-of-factly. Harry and Ron looked as surprised as she did.
"NOW!" Hermione heard him yelling. She stood from her chair to walk over to Snape's office but Draco Malfoy jumped in front of her.
“You’re dead, Mudblood!” he hissed in her ear.
“Drop dead or I’ll punch you Malfoy… again.” She said it very menancingly because Draco stepped back, trying to grin. She shut the door behind her and walked over to Snape’s desk. Snape already sat behind it, with curled fingers. He looked at her, a cold anger radiating from his eyes.
“Did you really think, Miss Granger, that I wouldn’t find out?” he asked very calm, but sarcastic.
“Excuse me professor, but what are you talking about?” She looked at him with questioning eyes.
Snape’s lips curled into an evil grin. “You don’t know? Honestly. I thought you would remember everything after today’s lesson.” He stayed very calm, although his face had begun to turn red in anger.
In today’s lesson they had to make the Polyjuice Potion, the one Hermione had managed to brew without any difficulties in her second year. Now in their sixth year they finally made it legally.
“The Polyjuice Potion, silly girl! I know what you did four years ago.” Now, Snape wasn’t talking so calmly anymore. Hermione’s face turned white, then green. *How in the hell did he find out?!* She thought.
“I-I..don’t know…” she sputtered but was cut off.
“Be very careful, Miss Granger, you’re already in big trouble as it is.” He almost whispered, but she understood perfectly. “I found out half an hour ago. Someone saw you stealing the ingredients from my private stores and didn’t dare to say a word until just now. Never trust a house-elf.” The triumph was readable in his dark eyes, seeming almost to glow. “I still don’t know who threw that piece of firework in the cauldron of an innocent Slytherin, but I’m sure you will tell me?” His silky voice rang threateningly.
“Ok,” Hermoine said slowly. She had to tell him about the stolen ingredients, he knew already, but she wasn’t planning to betray her best friends by telling him about their throwing the fireworks to distract him. “Ok, I admit I took the ingredients from your store.” She stopped and took a deep breath.
Snape narrowed his eyes. “And the fireworks?” he snapped.
“I did that too, to distract you so I could sneak in for about five minutes.” Hermione’s face was as red as a tomato; looking down, she didn’t dare to look at her Potions Master’s face.
“I see.” He said, not very convinced. On the other hand, he knew Hermione did a good job with it in her second year so he was willing to play the game she was playing. “Well, that’s a detention for you, fifty points taken from Gryffindor, and I will most likely discuss this matter with the Headmaster and your Head of House.”
Hermione’s mouth fell open in shock. “Fifty points!?”
“A hundred if you don’t tell me the truth, and I mean the whole truth.” He said smirking. This was going to be good entertainment. He liked teasing her when she couldn’t defend herself.
“I did told you the truth,” she said much more convincing now, to Snape’s disliking.
“Very well, as for your detention, tonight at eight here in the dungeons. Be on time! Dismissed.” He said, stood up, and walked back to the classroom. Hermione just stood there, feet pinned to the ground. *He can’t go to Dumbledore nor McGonagall.* The bell already rang minutes ago when she finally walked back into the now deserted dungeon. She packed her bag and turned to Snape.
“Professor Snape, please wait with talking to the Headmaster and professor McGonagall until after my detention. I’ll explain tonight, I have to go now.” She turned on her heels and left without waiting for a response. Snape had heard her very clear. He laughed inside; he wasn’t even planning to let those two interfere in this or every matter if not really necessary. He only said it to try to pull out the whole truth to expel Potter. He just knew he had everything to do with it.

Hermione ran up the stairs, back towards Gryffindor Tower. Harry and Ron were already waiting for her.
“He-he knows!” Hermione gasped for air.
“What? He knows what?” Harry asked.
Hermione sighed and motioned the two boys into a corner. She bent to meet their heads and whispered what had happened in Snape’s office. She almost made it without gasping for new air. Harry choked and almost fell, in shock.
“How?” Ron said alarmed.
“Shhhhhhhh….keep your voice down! I told him I did it all, the fireworks too.”
Now Harry looked alarmed. “Hermione, what’s your punishment?”
Hermione looked sad and angry at the same time. “Fifty points, a detention, and a word with the Headmaster.” She was most worried about the last thing.
“Don’t drink anything he offers you, you understand? He will use a Veritaserum to pull it out of you.” Hermione nodded and started grinning slightly.
“Harry, we can always blackmail him if we have to. He will keep his mouth shut and give me a huge detention instead, but I won’t let him expel you.” Harry and Ron as well looked puzzled. Hermione sighed impatiently.
“Remember the story you told us last summer about Snape and the Pensieve? We don’t know how it ended, yet.”
Harry looked even more alarmed now. “You know we can’t blackmail him with that. Hermione, he made sure he would kill me if I told a single soul!” Now Hermione started to grin evilly.
“And besides that, he hasn’t got the Pensieve any more. Dumbledore has it back in his office now. I saw it last week and it’s locked behind a special spell.” Hermione grinned even more now.
“Could you please stop grinning, we have to think of something to prevent him expelling us all.” Harry squeezed her arm to pull her into reality.
“We don’t need that Pensieve.”
Ron frowned. “What do you mean? You want to go down there tonight and give him his own Veritaserum? You’re insane!”
“I’m not insane, Ron! Secondly, that wasn’t a really bad idea you just suggested but--”
Ron cut her short. “Don’t risk getting expelled because… You think so?” he said and grinned.
“Well…no, but you interrupted me. I was about to say that I have a plan. Harry, can I use your Invisibility Cloak? (Harry nodded) Good, go and get it please. We’ve got very little time.”
Harry ran up to his dorm and returned within a minute. “Here.” He gasped for air. “What are you up to?” Hermione looked around the common room; no one who was there was paying them any attention.
“Because Snape doesn’t have Dumbledore’s Pensieve any more, I’ll have to steal Professor McGonagall’s Time-Turner to find out what happened to Snape after he caught you in his own memory.” Hermione whispered turning to Harry.
“How will you get into her office without her seeing or in this case notice you? You know cats feel someone’s presence without seeing them.” Ron said.
Hermione sighed. “Good point.” she said. “I guess you two will have to distract her. Go find Peeves and tease him into throwing a fit.”
Harry and Ron left the common room, followed by a now invisible Hermione, who’d pulled the cloak over herself in her room. They walked her to McGonagall’s office and hid behind the Statue of Mickey the Loony.
“Ok,” said Hermione. “I know that Peeves is in the library at this time. He’s always there on Friday afternoons, teasing the first years Hufflepuffs.”
The three of them looked around the statue when they heard professor McGonagall approach. They held their breaths till she disappeared through her office door.
“It really is a wonder she didn’t already detect us.” Ron said and pointed his fingers out of his head as if they were feelers. Harry snorted but Hermione was simply too nervous to see the humour of it.
“Ready?” she said, wanting to get it over with. “I’ll expect it to take you about three minutes to get in the library and another four to irritate Peeves.” she said quietly. They had to hurry then. The two boys nodded and patted her shoulder, at least they thought it was her shoulder, and took off. “Good luck,” she whispered.
She looked at her watch almost every ten seconds. Finally, after about five minutes she heard noises coming from above her. *They made it.* Suddenly, she heard a loud “BANG!” that was quickly followed by the sound of screaming students. Hermione sniggered softly. She wondered what Peeves had smashed to pieces or what he had thrown to Harry and Ron, but stopped wondering when the door of Professor McGonagall’s office slammed open. She saw Professor McGonagall running down the corridor, her face ready to explode.
“PEEVES! STOP THAT NOW!” she yelled. In her rush she hadn’t closed her door, something that pleased Hermione. Looking one last time down to see if the Cloak was fully around her, she stepped from behind the statue and walked straight into the office. Hermione heard another loud “BANG!”; that made a crack in the ceiling above her. Grit fell upon her cloak and became visible. She shut the door and pulled off the piece of cloth to shake it clean before putting it back on again. She ran to McGonagall’s desk and pulled a drawer open. Nothing… *Merlin*
“Where is it?” she whispered, walking through the silent office. “BANG!”
“Thank you, Peeves,” she whispered. At least Peeves wasn’t on the same floor anymore. Apparently he was a floor higher now. Suddenly, on a shelf above the hearth, she saw the Time-Turner standing there. She grabbed it and hurried for the door. Out in the hallway she looked around. No one was there. She sighed in relief and walked to the statue, the Time-Turner safe in her inside robe pocket. She took off the cloak and folded it to put it under her robes. She, no, they did it!
Hermione walked to the “crime scene” with an innocent look. Peeves had finally stopped smashing things but he was still furious.
“What did you do or say?” she asked, her low voice making the boys jump a foot in the air.
“D-don’t do that!” Ron gasped.
“We wrote a little letter, made an airplane out of it, and flew it to him. He read it and went mad.” Harry whispered, making Ron laugh again.
“What did you write?” Hermione asked.
“Well… I wrote that he wasn’t all that funny any more and that he had lost his touch of nastiness. We, he didn’t knew who wrote it, were much better in pulling off pranks than he was. And that he wasn’t able to cause a huge roar any more.” Hermione, who normally would be very angry at the trouble caused, was grinning. She and Ron were still prefects and wouldn’t have allowed it if some other student had done it, but this was different.
“Thanks,” she said to both boys and turned to leave for the common room.
“Wait for us.” Ron yelled and both boys ran after her, leaving a seething Professor McGonagall, an enraged Filch, and a twinkling Dumbledore behind.
“Perhaps Peeves should have some therapy at St. Mungo’s,” Dumbledore said as Harry was passing him. Harry nodded quickly and ran even harder.
