Where we left off: "And these are the twins, Xenia and Lydia." Harry smiled at the two girls, but then promptly frowned as clearly their attention is elsewhere. "Girls?" Connie steps forward slightly, but Narcissa follows their line of sight and grins. "Connie!" She gasps, pointing at where Charlie Weasley and Severus Snape stand. "No?" Connie's face slowly splits into a grin. "Lydia? Xenia?" The two girls look at each other once, before sending their pull out, and smile shyly as both men look over at them in shock. Draco stands in front of Harry, leaning back so that his mate can wrap his arms around him. "I do believe they have found want they so sorely wanted. This should be interesting"
(Now! On with the story!)
Part Thirteen: Threading Malfoy's. (Overall View)
"What do you mean?" Harry asked his mate, his tone that of confusion. "Well; Xenia and Lydia have been searching for mates. You know that after a set amount of time if a Veelian hasn't found his or her mate, they pass on? They literally die of a broken heart." This caused the tall Gryffindor to tighten his arms around his lover. " Lydia and Xenia were knocking on death's door. But it seems that Severus and Charlie are about to lock that door forever-Or throw it open." Harry was still a little confused. "Go on girls just walk over" Narcissa and Connie whispered repeatedly. Slowly, the two twins started their small journey to where the Potions master and the Dragon keeper stood; warming themselves by the fire.
"I believe that there is a possibility, yes. The Australian mere-Dragon could still exist in the depths of the sunburnt country. But until I have a factual report, I can not comment too strongly on it." The tall red head nodded in admiration and opened his mouth to speak, but was caught off guard by a strange-subtle pull behind his navel. Clearly from the look on Severus's face-he was having the same feeling. "What is that? It's too weak to be Harry and it can't be Draco if it's directed at us" A soft pale hand slid over Charlie's shoulder, making the man jump. "I know I haven't seen you at a family get together." Xenia purred into the freckled ear before her. "What's your name handsome?" Draco bit back a snort at the boldness in his cousin's statement. "C-Charlie, Charlie Weasley." Lowering her eyelashes, Xenia gazed up shyly at the elder Weasley, her cheeks flushing attractively. "Xenia Malfoy. Pleasure to meet you."
Severus watched on in amusement, thanking the gods he didn't have a Veela to worry about. "Mmmm...I know what you're thinking, and I wouldn't be so sure of myself." Raising a brow Severus turned to face the voice cursing himself for allowing his relief to show on his face. "Well; I am allowed my assumptions." His voice was smooth, covering his nervousness well. The woman that stood before him was smiling broadly. "Then you can safely assume I am here for you, as much as my sister is here for your friend." Sliding her arm neatly underneath his, she guided them toward her mother. "Your name?" She asked as they walked much to the room's amusement. "Severus Snape, Potions master at Hogwarts." He paused and kissed her hand, his mind working furiously in an attempt to figure out an escape route.
"I'm Lydia Malfoy. Severus... where have I heard that name before?" She blinked in realisation and her eyes flicked to his upper arm. "That's why!" She bit out in a low hiss. "Now, Now Lydia. Be happy you found Severus at all." Narcissa said clapping her hands together. "Before you two drag these two off..." Harry nodded and stepped forward; bowing slightly and introduced himself. "You're Draco's mate?" Xenia asked in incredulity; sharing a significant look with her father. Lydia snorted as she kissed Harry's cheek; pulling back she chuckled. " Well, I can see the irony." Draco growled gently and brought his mate back to his side. "Dinner is in an hour girls. If you two are going to explain and 'draft' these two then I suggest you do it now." Xenia and Lydia nodded; looked at each other briefly and walked away with their respective males.
Harry couldn't help but notice the longing look in Sierra's eye; but decided it would be wise to say nothing. "Are you going to formally introduce me to the Weasley's?" Draco was in shock, for two reasons. One, The sheer size of the family and secondly, the simple fact that they were in his house. "Mum Weasley? Arthur? I'd like to introduce you, properly, to my mate. Draco Malfoy." Arthur bowed and shook the blonde's hand; returning the bow in all sincerity, Draco shook the eldest Weasley's hand in return. "Pleasure to meet you, thank you for accepting me and know that I respect and accept you as Harry's family." He then turned to face the plump Mrs. Weasley who had tears streaming down her cheeks silently. "Oh! Forget formalities dear; come here." Draco's face lit up like a Christmas tree when Molly folded her arms around him and squeezed tightly.
"You attend school with most of my lot, Bill couldn't make it tonight, he had to work and Charlie just got what was it? Oh, 'drafted'." A ripple of chuckle went around the room. " This is Ginny." Draco stepped forward and Ginny curtsied as a sign of respect. "I don't think so." Everyone stared at Draco's rejection in shock. "Come here." Ginny's shock was apparent as Draco looped his arms around her shoulders and pulled her close. "What's say we bury the hatchet?" Ginny, still in shock, nodded and watched open mouthed as Draco moved on to greet the next members of her family. The twins looked at the Malfoy heir with evil smiles.
"Awww! Ickle Drakie-Poo's! Wanna give us a hug too?" Draco was torn between amusement and horror as the twins sandwiched him between them. "I accept you both! LET ME GO!" Laughter spread out through the room as Draco squeezed out from between the two comedians and scampered to where Hermoine and Ron stood. Brushing his hair back into place with his fingers; his eyes darted to where the twins were standing- eyes locked on him. "Well" He began cautiously, still watching the two troublemakers warily. "If you're going to formally accept us, or reject us, at least have the decency to look us in the eye." This snapped the Slytherin's attention to them quickly. "I do apologise, not just for my current rudeness. But for my blatant lack of respect for your obvious high level of intelligence, Hermoine, and Ron, for not acknowledging that family is worth so much more than money." He bowed low and waited with baited breath; praying they would accept him.
After a moment Ron bowed down low, accepting Draco and his words which shocked all in the room considerably. "Thank you." The blonde said in a humble tenor. Draco turned to face Hermoine and started to bow once again; before he could get too far over Hermione's hand fell on his shoulder delicately. "I accept you and what you are saying." She placed a light kiss on both cheeks. "Besides; I think Harry has seen enough of your ass." Harry snorted and looked up to comment, but promptly shut his mouth at the looks he was receiving. "Well, Shall we sit down? I'd like to get to know the-" Constance had been about to say, 'The-boy-who-lived' but from the look on her nephew's face a change of tact mid-sentence was required here. "- Future mate of my beloved nephew." Rolling his eyes Draco pushed Harry's chest lightly, causing the back of Harry's knees to connect with the single sofa chair. Grinning broadly, Draco watched his mate fall back onto the chair, and promptly climbed into his lap once he was settled.
"Mmmm..my lion." Draco whispered snuggling up to the warm chest next to him; Harry chuckled causing Draco to laugh with him as the bouncing of the golden boy's chest made him jiggle. Alexander sat down across from them and proceeded to pull his wife down onto his lap, grinning ridiculously. "Molly? Arthur? Please. Come join us. The children may too if they wish; otherwise they are free to roam the grounds and the manor." No sooner had the words left Narcissa's lips did the twins and Ginny leave the room, curious as to what they would find in Malfoy manor. Seeing as how she hadn't had any attention paid to her (She didn't care for the attention anyway) Sierra waited an appropriate amount of time, and then slipped away. Hermoine and Ron however sat down beside one another on the couch next to Draco and Harry; leaving only one two-seater left for Molly and Arthur.
"So, Harry, destroyed any dark lords lately?" Narcissa, Molly and Draco gasped at the tactlessness that Alexander was famous for showing. "You're dying for another month sleeping alone on the bad couch aren't you?" Constance hissed in her husbands' direction. But Harry held his hand up, and tried to breathe through his fit of silent laughter. "Well; he thought it was funny." Alexander had the decency to look ashamed when his wife gave him 'that' look. " Sorry Harry, Lex doesn't know how to conduct himself in public half the time." Harry shook his head and grinned. "Between Lucius's attitude and Draco's old demeanor, your husband's jokes are quite the breath of fresh air." Draco pinched his mate's leg and glared.
"I wasn't all that stuffy." For this he was granted with three 'your fooling no one' looks off Hermoine, Ron and Harry. "Alright, so I was-am-arrogant. Moving on?" Harry kissed the top of Draco's nose and smiled."You maybe an arrogant bastard; but the point is you're my arrogant bastard." Molly, Narcissa, Constance and Hermoine cooed. "Urgh-next they'll be on about the babies that are yet to be conceived." Alexander instantly regretted saying this, as the four girls broke out into conversation about the future heir's of the Potter-Malfoy or Malfoy-Potter fortune. "Thanks Uncle Lex. Nice to know you're thinking of our sanity" Draco hissed, his eyes filled with laughter as he threw a pillow at his uncle. A look of sincere apology was on Alexander's face as the women dragged their respective partners, and Harry and Draco into the conversation.

Sierra walked up along the far halls of the Malfoy manor, she had trod this path before. If she lost herself, it didn't matter, someone would find her in a day or two. She liked the darkness of the rear of the manor; it was always cold back here. It gave her the ability to just disappear into the shadows-allowed her to be invisible. Sierra was someone who didn't mind being completely overlooked. So long as she had her horror novels and her imagination she was ok.
-Clink-
A noise to her left drew the goth's attention to a small abandoned drawing room. A sly grin appeared on Sierra's face; she had a plan to either catch an intruder, or scare a house elf witless. Concentrating hard Sierra allowed her bones to shift and remold themselves into soft angles, she felt her clothes seemingly disappear as a soft black fur spread over her body. Her tailbone extended slowly, so that it swayed and hunw wiw with its weight; her pupils narrowed into slits. She stepped forward, marveling once more at how wonderful the Persian carpeting felt under her paws. "How the hell did I end up in here?" The muffled voice was clearly female; Sierra couldn't resist the gentle purr that reverberated from her throat as she padded to the open door and nudged it open gently. The noise causing the woman inside to pivot and stin hin horror at- the rather large black Panther that looked about ready to pounce on her.
Carefully, as if approaching a common cat, the woman stepped forward her hand extended. At first Sierra was tempted to snap her jaws; just to nip at the intruders' fingertips. But as the palm slid over her cold muzzle, she felt her fur stand on end. This girl- from before- smelt wonderful, so wonderful in fact the groan that should have erupted from Sierra's lips came out as an agitated purr and the woman removed her hand quickly. Why hadn't she realised the smell before? "I didn't know they had a cat" The woman said perching herself on the edge of an old floral, high backed chair. The panther paused in it's pacing and turned to face her; sitting back on it's haunches red head watched the black fur ripple gently. As the ripples grew in strength it became apparent what was happening.
"That would be because they don't. I didn't quite catch your name before." Sierra was poised on the floor, one knee resting against the carpet; the other bent up as if to rise. The young Malfoy was trying to gauge whether or not the scent that was coming from this woman was the scent she had been looking for. "Ginny, Ginny Weasley." A light blush rose to Ginny's cheeks as she averted her gaze. "I go to school with Draco" As if remembering something Ginny looked up and frowned. "Wait, who are you?" The auburn haired Malfoy dropped into a low bow and smiled calmly. "Sierra Crystalline Malfoy." This came out as a gentle purr, unintentionally though. "Oh-you're Draco's cousin right?" Ginny pushed herself into a standing position and blinked as she managed to catch what was printed on the front of her shirt. Following her gaze, Sierra winked and lifted an arm, indicating that she wanted Ginny to go first. "T-Thank you." The red-haired stuttered, walking through the door and out into the hallway. "I'll take you on a tour of the grounds if you like?" Sierra asked, falling into step with the curious girl. "That would be excellent, if it isn't too much trouble of course." The auburn-haired goth grinned and winked once more. "I'll do anything for a pretty girl, it's a weakness." Mentally slapping herself for such a corny line, Sierra allowed her nose to lead her after Ginny.

The strange glow of evening basked the manor in an eerie brightness as silence reigned over the small distance between the potions master and Lydia. They had spent quite a bit of time discussing their situation. "I understand your nervousness Severus. My sister is probably having quite a difficult time with her mate-to-be. Trying to guess whether or not it's a false alarm." The tall auburn women slowly closed the distance between them and tilted her face up so she could look directly into the almost completely black eyes that seem to swallow any light that tried to illuminate them, giving them a look of mystery. "But I know it's not. My sister and I have spent six long years trying to find our mates. My mother and father feared the worst over the past two years, our time is running out. I know that this is no false alarm for my sister and myself as, this late into our inheritance, there are no false alarms."
Lydia took to running her rose painted fingernails down the fabric on Severus's arm. "I understand if you don't or won't accept this. We barely know each other and I'm asking for your life-your soul." She smiled and leant into him, feeling his warmth; allowing the strong smell of cinnamon and potion chemicals, an odd mixture. "I'm just happy knowing that, even it it doesn't work out, I did have someone out there meant specifically for me." Her lips pressed against his in a genuine show of affection. "You, Severus Snape are definitely one of a kind." She made a move to pull away from him, but he wouldn't allow it. His arms snaked around her waist pulling her close once more. He hadn't had this kind of physical contact in a very long time, and with what this wonderful creature was offering-maybe he could have it again. "You're a potions master? works out well for me- I think. I have been looking to become a teacher's aide." She smled at him hopefuly. "I agree." Severus's long, articulate fingers were drawing circles on Lydia's back, making her arch into the touch each time it began to fade.
The look on her face, the one that simply said that she was content in his arms was all he needed for him to make up his mind. "I can't Lydia. You know what I am. When I took this responsibility, I all but signed the dotted line that said I couldn't get involved with anyone." Severus felt his heart drop, as Lydia's smile did. "Don't get me wrong; I'm not rejecting- you. I just couldn't handle risking your life." With a gentle shove; the woman pushed herself off Snape's chest and glared. "And by not allowing me to bond with you- take you into my life- you're all but killing me. I'll either die knowing what could have blossomed between us or I'll die of a broken heart, Severus I don't want it to be the latter." Severus was torn, this woman clearly had a mind of her own and was willing to further her own intelligence in anyway she could, but he didn't want any more lives lost at the hands of Voldemort. He turned to face the attractive Veela and sighed, the look in her eyes searching and and hopeful. Maybe?
" I never make a rash or hurried decision, but I feel I have to in this circumstance. You'll forgive me for saying that I do not wish to mate will you immediately. But I am willing to see if what may be between us will work. Maybe try and determine whether I can do this and hide it from....." The words hung unspoken and heavy in the air. "It will be a large risk." He waited for the response he was no doubt going to get, but was shocked when the silver flecks in Lydia's eyes lit up amazingly, giving them an ethereal look. "That would be wonderful; honestly, after what you had been saying, I wasn't even expecting that." Long, pale fingers grazed the woman's cheek gently. "I can see you have a strong mind in there, and I want to help unlock it, and bring out your potential. But right at this moment we have to make our way to dinner." Feeling like he was a teen once more, Severus offered his hand to the woman and led her back inside.

Xenia smiled as Severus and her sister walked passed her and Charlie; they were so absorbed in their own world that they paid no mind to their surroundings. "You stopped talking?" The voice calling her attention back was soft, but demanding. "Sorry. Looks like they reached an agreement." Xenia's eyes twinkled with happiness for her sister and she was momentarily distracted as a simple- but all too clear message entered her mind.
-I'll talk to you a little later Xen. Good luck and be assertive. -
The smile that appeared on her face was dazzling, so much so that Charlie had no choice but return it- even if he was confused. "Dinner is soon; and I'd like to get some details sorted out if that's alright?" Charlie had settled back against the white marble pillar, his eyes raking over the slender figure appreciatively. "So, you can tell by my scent that I'm your mate? That I can accept. You want me to bond with you; eventually, I can accept that. And spend my life with you? I can come to terms with that. The only thing I feel remotely disturbed about is the fact that your life depends on me saying yes- of which I'm doing- I don't know if I can handle that." Charlie took a deep breath and slid his gaze to Xenia's face to see if she had caught on. "I understand- You don't know me after all- and I don't want you to do something you're not completely and utterly comfortable with."
Xenia's hands rubbed gently at her upper arms, her eyes focused on the floor as she tried so hard to fight back the tears and sobs that were threatening to wrack her body at that moment. She became very still, a thoughtful look upon her face as she turned to Charlie. "You said yes." The look on her face was appreciation and gratitude. "You said yes!" She lunged forward and Charlie had no choice but to catch her. "I did, but there will be terms. Mum will want to do the full check over- she will be disgustingly loving- because you are no doubt going to be the next Mrs. Weasley. Unless Fluer and Bill tie the knot." Xenia grinned against the Dragon tamer's neck in sheer delight. She was going to live- and she was going to be loved. "Isn't this the definition of irony." Charlie said gently as they joined hands and slowly walked past the rose bushes. "What would that be?" Xenia loved the feell of the calloused hands against her own soft ones; she knew Charlie was a Dragon tamer so it meant moving to Romania.
So much to deal with! But she wasn't going anywhere until Draco had his and Harry's first child. "The fact that I'm a Weasley and you're a Malfoy. Our families have been long standing rivals since they were founded." This statement didn't sit well with the young Malfoy; she paused and looked at her mate-to-be. "Well by the look of it, if you and I work out. My sister and..." She paused realising she hadn't caught the man's name. "Severus, Severus Snape; Potion master at Hogwarts." Xenia nodded and continued. " My sister and Severus, then three weddings are on table and one of them- ours- is going to bridge the stupid feud. I don't care for fighting much and I want to get along with your mother and want you to get along with mine." Charlie's grip on Xenia's hand tightened gently, as if in reassurance. These past few months had been pretty hectic for the Malfoy's by the sound of it. Even more so to this beautiful creature and her sister as their very lives had been hanging in the hands of fate. To top it off, it didn't look like it would be clearing up anytime soon.
"Calm down, Xenia, look at me." She did as she was told, and a pair of soft lips descended upon her own. She blinked several times and as she leant into the kiss he pulled away. "Dinner. Talk. Details." Nodding, Xenia allowed the redhead to guide her inside. "I'm content" She trying to keep Charlie from looking at her face as she sent out a mental message to her sister.
- Done deal -
She could hear the mental chuckle her twin sent back, and the grin on her face grew. Tonight was proving to be very interesting.

"Would you look at the size of this place?" George's voice rang out through the halls, leaving an echo in its wake. "I am brother- I am." Ginny rolled her eyes and caught up with the stunned twins. "Why would anyone want to live in a house this big? All these rooms go unused." Ginny looked around at the rows of doors that had clearly been unopened in a long time due to the dust webs stringing across the frames. "Well, it'd be a notch better than what we're used to" The twins replied in unison. The little red head stopped and glared at her older brothers; the venom in her gaze showing them exactly how much fire she had inside her. Sierra who had been in her own, Ginny scented imagination, abruptly stopped and looked up at the three siblings. Her mnd trying quickly to piece together what had been said to upset her pretty girl so much.
"I'm perfectly content with what we have thank you very much. So what if we don't have vaults of money lying around. Good thing in my opinion- we'd just get greedy. And you two have your own shop, you make your own money now. So just shut up." Finishing her rant she walked away in a hurry, intent on losing herself to the halls. Forgetting completely about her tour guide. "Well, I do believe we just got told." Fred said; clearing his throat loudly. His brother nodded in agreement. "Should we catch up with her and apologise?" George asked taking a few steps in the direction his sister had just walked off in. "No my dear brother, when a Weasley Woman is upset. You leave her be to cool off you don't stoke the bloody fire." Fred shook his head and looked at Sierra who was staring after his sister. "I'll catch her up, make sure she doesn't get lost or hurt." The young woman's voice was distant and she hadn't made eye conatct with the twins as she spoke- Fred and George had the impression that she had more or les just spoken to herself. They watched as she walked off at a hurried pace to find their sister.
"Well where to now?" George asked looking up and down the hallways wondering what they could do. He had been about to suggest they further their explorations when a cold, pale hand settled on his shoulder. "What do we have here? Weasley's in Malfoy Manor?" The voice was harsh and held a sneer of its own; as did the owners face. "Lucius" Fred hissed jumping away to stand beside his brother. "You're suppose to be in Azkaban. Doesn't surprise me that the Dementors couldn't find anything happy or good in you. You probably only feel those things when you look in the mirror." Lucius smirked at the brashness the boy was showing. "I'd advise you to watch what you say. You are, after all, guests in my manor yes?" The two boys glared daggers as they nodded quickly. "Now. I will give you thirty seconds to get out of here before curse you both into oblivion." Not liking or trusting the elder Malfoy the twins beat a hasty retreat muttering things under their breath like. 'Pale faced pompous bastard' and 'don't go in the sun- you'll blind people you over grown albino.' Lucius stopped smirking and growled, sweeping away quickly his coat caught up in the draft and floated about him, he headed towards the dining hall with a purpose. He had people to kill before the night was out.
@ @ @ @ @ @
Draco smiled and looked around the room at everyone who was sitting around him. This was his family now. He was still a little shocked that the Weasley's had been so easy to convince to come. He knew they were only smiling and agreeing for Harry's sake, he knew that he and his mother still had a long way to go before they had completely earned their trust. But he was happy that Harry's family wanted what was best for their adopted son. "What say we sneak off?" The voice purred in his ear; sending little shocks down his spine. Draco tilted his head back and placed a small kiss on his lover's lips. "What about Ron and Hermoine? They don't look like they want to be here do they?" Harry shook his head and gave a knowing look to his best friends that simply said, 'Let's get out of here.' They both nodded in affirmation and all four began to stand. The doors to the hall swung open with a force that made them slam painfully against the walls.
"Well, would you look at what we have here. Came to see what you can never have Arthur?" The cold voice made Narcissa and Draco cringe. What the hell was he doing here? "Lucius. You've been notified by the Ministry that you are not allowed to be here." Narcissa sounded tired and scared, Harry nudged his mate into going to her. "Oh, believe me, I won't be here for very long at all." The man searched inside the arm of his robe briefly, and had just pulled out his wand when Severus and Lydia walked in. "Severus? You've accepted this?" was Lucius's first response to his old schoolmate. "What are you doing here Lucius?" The potion master said in reply, knowing it would only agitate the blonde even further that he answered a question with a question. "I'm here to do what you can't apparently." His wand wavered slightly as he directed it at Harry. Well, it would have been Harry had Draco not been standing in the way.
"No. I won't let you father. I can't- you kill him; you kill me." This fact seemed to flicker across Lucius's face. "I can deal with that." He said shortly. "But think about it Lucius." Severus came to stand in front of his godson. "You'll have to kill me to get to him." This infuriated the elder Malfoy further, even as Lydia came to stand in front of her mate and so on and so forth until every one in the room stood between Harry and Lucius's wand. Charlie, Xenia, Fred, George and Ginny stood outside whispering together, devising a plan to get Lucius whilst he was distracted. "What's going on?" A voice from their left called out. The twins held their hands up signaling silence as Ariana walked up to them, a look of confusion on her face. "Lucius just crashed the party." Fred explained quickly. "Party pooper" George couldn't help adding. "We're trying to figure out how to get him out of there and away from Harry, of whom he is trying to kill." Ariana looked outraged at this information. "And I know how to scare him" Sierra said, an evil look in her eye "Think cats and dogs Xen." The statement was cryptic, but her sister caught on and returned the grin.
The two girls waited until Lucius was completely distracted with trying to get to Harry through the band of people in front of him before making their moves. Hermoine screamed and hid behind Ron as all eyes turned to the entrance when Sierra entered in her panther form, her shoulder blades rising and falling effortlessly as she leisurely prowled to the front of the crowd and after a significant look at her sister, rounded on Lucius. "Sierra? Nice to see you again" The fear was evident on his face as Xenia entered the room as a beautiful black wolf, her eyes trained on her uncle; a low threatening growl erupting from deep in her throat. "Now, now. Let's not be rash" Narcissa stepped forward, Lydia at her side as a stunning white wolf. "You know what they're capable of Lucius. They are half-Veela too- and two of them have their mates standing in this very room. Their main concern will be to protect them; and you're the threat." Lucius could see the point that was being made, only a fool would try and take on three highly hormonal animagi especially when two of them had their mates in the room. "You have one choice Lucius. And that is leave and and never come back." Two loud growls and a deep purr supported her argument. "Watch your back Potter. We will meet again." From the back of the group came a loud laugh. "And again, and again, and again. Gets a bit repetitive. I'm just thankful that each time we do meet it's a new hair-brained scheme otherwise I'd get bored." Clearly not happy with being mocked, Lucius pushed his way passed the group at the door and stormed out of the room.

Draco sighed as he, Hermoine, Ron, Harry and Ginny sat in room whilst he and Harry repacked their bags. "So I missed everything then?" Pansy Parkinson had just arrived by floo, she had been running unforviably late. "You missed the acceptance, you missed dinner, you missed Xenia and Lydia finding Snape and Charlie Weasley as being their mates and you missed Father's rather lame attempt at trying to kill Harry." Draco chuckled at this and looked up. "That's my curse for beng horrible with punctuality." Pansy sighed and crossed her legs. "Draco?." The blonde haired boy looked up at the blushing Weasley and smiled. " I was just curious...Is your cousin ok?" He frowned and wondered why she woud ask that question. "It's just that...I ran into her earlier and she offered to how me around. The funny thing was she kept trying to...I don't know sniff me?" Draco froze at this small detail. "What do you mean sniff you?" Hermoine and Ron had snuggled together at the head of Draco's large bed and watched the scene play out.
Harry didn't seem too fussed he was more intent on packing his things and getting his mate out of the Manor and somewhere safe. "Well, she seemed to like the way I smelt; guess she liked the perfume charm I used today; because she all but followed me around by her nose." Draco nodded thoughtfully and said nothing. Harry paused and cast a casual glance at the silver-blonde- catching his gaze he grinned knowingly. Seeing that the conversation was dying and everything was returning to silence, Hermoine thought she would speak. "You don't seem too upset that you and Harry miss out on spending your first Christmas together in the manor." Harry paused in his packing at Hermione's statement; looking up at his mate waiting for the reply. Draco however, didn't stop packing and simply smiled. "Well, we are going to-what did you call it? the Burrow right?" the golden trio nodded. "And my mother, Severus, Pansy and Ariana are coming too? As well as my Aunt, Uncle and cousins?" another nod from the golden trio.
Draco finished his packing and walked to Harry; wrapped his arms around the boys shoulders and kissed his cheek. "Then we are still spending it together, safe and with family." Ron looked a great deal greener, and Hermoine cooed. "Don't ever repeat that to anyone, because I will deny every god damn syllable." Harry laughed at his lover's words and continued to pack. "Well, Molly and Arthur will be taking their family, you, me, Sierra, Hermoine and Xenia with them now. Then Ariana, your mother, Severus, Lydia, your Aunt and Uncle will come after the house has been searched thoroughly." After Pansy had been introduced and she had accepted Harry; she had said she would stay until he and Draco left but then she had to go home. Her family was going to the Alps for Christmas and wouldn't be back until just before the new term started. "Well, I guess we should get going. Mum and dad will meet us out the front and we will apparate with them. You got everything Harry?" The raven-haired boy nodded at his friend and lifted his own bags along with those of his mates. "Alright. Let's hope mum and everyone will be ok." Draco looked around sadly; almost wistfully. " Aren't you going to say goodbye to your mother?" Draco shook his head in a depressed fashion and led the group towards the front doors. "No- She and Severus are searching the back end of the Manor. It would take us too long to find her. I said my good-byes earlier."
Pansy looked uncomfortably at her childhood friend, but had a look of relief on her face as Hermoine stepped closer to him and held his hand. "She'll be fine Draco. You'll see her in a few hours." Draco smiled, a true smile, at the bushy-haired girl. "Thanks Hermoine. Alright Pansy. I'll see you when you get back. Owl me if anything of interest happens." The blonde stepped forward to embrace the pug-faced Slytherin. "Behave, if not be safe." Pansy muttered before crossing the path to the carriage that had been summoned for her. "You all ready? We'll need to hold hands. Harry give those bags to Arthur he'll apparate with them." The Weasleys, Xenia, Draco, Sierra, Hermoine and Harry all joined hands and waited for Molly and Arthur to apparate them. The wind blew and seem to enhance the silence so that it closed in on them, the pressure of waiting with their eyes closed weighted on their chests heavily.
"We're here." Came the soft voice of mum Weasley. Harry opened his eyes to the burrow and raised a brow. The sensations of being boxed in had left him quite rapidly. He hadn't realised that apparating would be so easy. As Arthur and Molly led all them inside Harry sent his thoughts and prayers to all those who stayed at the manor to search for Lucius.

Narcissa walked ahead of the small search party; her fear growing in intensity with each step that they took. The group she was guided consisted of, Severus, her longtime friend and his new mate Lydia. Alexander, who was the head of the Malfoy house and currently intended on finally pulling the reins on copious amounts of decisions and family rules, and Constance. The two had sent Sierra with the Weasleys for safety reason; albeit they knew their girls could look after themselves, they didn't want them getting involved any further. "There." Severus spotted a door that was left ajar and light was spilling from a source from inside. "Who's first?" Lydia grinned at her future partners' question and looked at her mother. "I say Ying and Tigger personally." Constance gave her daughter a look of disapproval but changed into the white tiger she was commonly known for. "She gives me a look?" Lydia shook her head as she shrank down into her wolven state and followed her mother into the room.
A small shout of surprise told the group all they needed to know. Lucius was in the room. Narcissa allowed Alexander to enter before, before she quickly followed with the rest in tow. "Lucius Malfoy I hereby disown you and remove you from the Malfoy family effective immediately. You are to leave Malfoy manor as soon as possible before the wards are stripped and renewed to keep you out. I don't want to have to further that brother." It was clear to all in the room that this was the last thing Alex wanted to do, but for the safety of the Malfoy heir and his sister-in-law he had no other option. "Finally showing those brass balls of yours Alexander?" Lucius sneered- his face contorted with disgust. "And allowing your daughter to traipse around with a Weasley. She should be the one you disown. Family rules state that if a female Malfoy offspring finds their mate and they are not well done by, she is to either die of heartbreak or disinherit herself." Lucius smirked confidently; he knew he was right. "I will not disown my daughter Lucius, I am allowing her to be happy. I see no reason to continue rules that are petty. You're changing the subject, if you don't leave. I will have no choice but to contact the ministry and have them come to retrieve you." Lucius growled and looked at them each in turn. He had a million things to say to them all, a million curses to throw; but he was well aware he was out numbered.
"Fine. I will see you all when Lord Voldemort reigns over your pitiful existences. And you know you can't live without me Narcissa." He said this as if he could hold it against her; the tall blonde was petrified. He was going to die and it was obvious that Narcissa knew she would too but was willing to sacrifice that. They watched him apparate and set to work with the wards; it took them well into the evening to reset each one to recognise all but Lucius. After contacting the ministry and alerting them to the events of that evening the remaining group apparated to the Weasleys to have Christmas; most likely the last one Draco would be having with his mother with him.
