Title: The Power Of Blood

Rating: R

Summary: Severus has been captured by Aurors for the murder
of Dumbledore and the rape of Hermione. He requests something unusual and the
lives of everyone will never be the same.

Chapter 9: A Matron�s Visit

�� So how is Hermione
doing?� McGonagall asked Tonks when she left her alone.

�� Not well,� Tonks
said. �She got really upset when Molly attacked her. So how is Severus taking
all this?�

McGonagall sighed.

�� I wish I could say
that he�s taking it well,� McGonagall said. �I didn�t talk to him personally
but Albus did.�

Tonks sighed and shook her head.

�� So where�s Ron at?�

�� Don�t know,�
McGonagall answered. �I�m sending someone to look for him, but we think that he�s
hiding with some of the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord himself.�

Tonks cursed.

�� And to think that
I liked the little bastard,� Tonks snapped.

McGonagall decided not to say anything, though she really
wanted to.

�� That
afternoon Severus had tea with McGonagall. He told her exactly what he thought
about Hermione being attacked. As he spoke, she noted the anger in his voice,
telling her that the Blood Bond was still very much around.

�� I swear if I see
Ron again, I�m going to kill him.�

McGonagall stared at him.

�� Severus, is there
any way that you can make Hermione see what happened to her?� Albus asked. �Bring
back her memories.�

�� I don�t know how,�
Severus said. �Hermione has my wand or Moody, I don�t know. Anyway, I can�t
make her see the truth unless I have her trust. And I�m not going to get that
anytime soon.�

�� Maybe, I can get
it,� McGonagall suggested. �She trusts me enough to let me have a look inside
her memories.�

�� That doesn�t sound
like a bad idea,� Dumbledore said. �However, you�ve got to be careful. Looking
at charmed memories is hard. The spell that was put on her is going to make it
almost difficult or impossible to see them.�

�� Is there a potion
that we could use?� McGonagall asked.

�� There is, but I�m
forbidden from mixing anymore potions,� Severus said. �Though, Ginny Weasley
could do it. She�s very good at Potions.�

McGonagall stared at him.

�� You�re not allowed
to make potions, why?�

Severus sighed.

�� Despite the fact
that I�m free, the Potion community won�t let near a cauldron again.�

�� But you didn�t get
a notice,� McGonagall said.

Severus laughed at her.

�� Don�t worry, it
will come.�

� �I�ll inform Ginny
of this and you can tell her what she needs.�

�� Madam
Pomfrey left the hospital wing and headed up to Hermione�s quarters. She felt
bad for the girl, knowing that her life had been ruined. She walked up the
marble staircase and then knocked on Hermione�s door.

�� W-Who is it?�
Hermione asked, her voice shaking.

� �It�s Madam Pomfrey,�
the Matron said.

The door slowly opened and she saw the terrified look on
Hermione�s face.

�� Can I come in?�
she asked.

Hermione nodded and let her in.

�� Hermione
closed the door and the Matron ushered her to the bed. When Hermione laid down
she took out her wand and waved it. Hermione felt the warmth rushing through
her and then she heard writing.

�� Your child is
doing fine,� she told her. �But I want you to take more of the nutrient potions
and make sure that you eat some sea biscuits.

�� Yes, mame,�
Hermione said.

She gave her a small smile and the left the room.
