Chapter 10
Even after having the time to cool down at their Solicitors then coming home, Harry was still fuming. Though he wasn't nearly as irate as he had been and the visualization of his magic wasn't there anymore, he was still upset. Since Sirius had seen this from his husband before, he wasn't overly concerned. Harry would calm down, it would just take time. He couldn't say he blamed his husband either. What happened was complete and utter shit that shouldn't have, well the part with Rufus anyway. The bit in the Alley with Albus and Remus? It did him a world of good to say what he had wanted to for so long. He was damned sure Harry felt the same way. However, they both realized it would probably cause them problems before they left, at least in some ways.
After flopping down on the settee in the main parlor in Pooh Manor, Sirius had an elf bring both of them a beer. It would relax them, at least a little. They had a multitude of problems to work out since the discovery they were back came so soon. Most of it wouldn't be hard, but he hoped to bump up the timeline for plenty and they would shift how they were going to have to go about some bits. Nothing they couldn't handle, but they needed calmed down to get on it.As he sipped his beer, finally starting to relax fully, Sirius slipped his arm around Harry and pulled him close. Then, with a chuckle, he said, “That bit with Rufus—damned good job there! I was planning to give him what he wanted to know to just get us the hell out before he decided to see what charges he could level.”“No chance,” Harry told him with a shake of his head as he took a drink of his own beer. “I wasn't giving up shit after that stunt. If we had talked, we'd have been on the hook for who knows how long with him. I wasn't chancing it. And with all in the Ministry who belong to the Order? It would have made it back to ones we don't want to know we talked. Then, after all you went through for those years, with him being head of the Aurors at the time, he wasn't getting anything out of me.”“I didn't think of it that way either,” Sirius admitted. “What we never planned for was him being involved. Everything we came up with was geared towards the DMLE and Aurors. Those we could have wiggled around with our Solicitor.”Then he sighed and admitted, “And we're in for hell. Not only am I sure Albus will end up plotting something, even though we've made it clear you're not getting involved and want no part of it, but the unwashed masses will find out you're back come tomorrow. And they'll hear, probably word for word, some of what we said, like we're not helping. Not sure how much of the other stuff I said will make it in, but it'll be enough to have plenty howling. It won't be nice.”“We've expected that, though,” Harry told him. “As it is, we're nice and protected where we are, Sirius. As long as we watch our arses, we're good. It'll just mean sticking to Muggle areas and doing what our Solicitor said, nothing more. We can handle it.”“We can and will,” Sirius agreed with a nod. After pulling Harry closer, leaning his head against his husband's, he added, “As long as we're together, we'll manage. After all, we've been through worse over the years.”“Oh yes,” Harry told him with a smile, leaning more against him.As he pressed further into his husband, he thought over everything that went on and sighed. “Really, we might need to see if we can find some way to figure out what the hell that old man is up to and his plans so we can avoid walking into anything. How, though, is the problem.”“It would be a big help, I admit it,” Sirius agreed, brow furrowed as he tried to think of the easiest and safest way to go about finding out. So far, nothing was coming to mind. “Let's give it a few days. Something might present itself if we do.”“The dust probably needs to settle first before we even think of looking in that direction,” Harry admitted, sipping his beer again.“We'll have to make sure to scan our mail better,” Sirius told him. “I'm sure we'll get a ton from people we used to know putting out feelers. Those we need to worry about. Though we probably need to read them to see what hints we can get.”“The elves can make sure they don't contain anything dangerous,” Harry interjected. “Those from ones we don't know can be burned. Neither of us needs to deal with them.”“We'll do it that way,” Sirius agreed with a nod. “Let's see what comes. There is no chance we can prepare for everything. Just so we have the basics in place, we should be good.”“True,” Harry agreed. Then, with a sigh, he said, “Let's get something to eat. I'm starved. After we finish, we have a shitload to deal with.”“Good idea,” Sirius told him, downing the last of his beer. As long as they both stayed calm and didn't work off emotion, they'd manage to stay safe.
Remus looked down at the table, clutching his beaker of heavily sweetened tea, not paying much attention to the conversation around him. At the moment, most of the Order was gathered in Albus' small house in Godric's Hollow for an emergency meeting. The topic was, of course, Harry and Sirius. There was plenty of turmoil over the encounter as well. It was important, what they were bringing up, as it would throw everything going on into complete mayhem. Of course, what they were doing was heavily involved, but they now had to consider what was coming from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named because of the incident. They could almost guarantee that what Harry and Sirius said would get back to him very quickly. And it would give him an advantage he didn't need. There was also what might be was coming from the Ministry over the mess.
While the meeting was called for every known Order member out there as well as those that only helped from time to time, not everyone was here. Tonks, Ron and Kingsley were still at the Ministry. So were a few others. Hermione and Arthur, probably because they weren't in high profile positions or what was considered the more important departments, weren't called in. Though they were all sure the next day at work they would be talked too as well. Apparently, Rufus was not in a good mood over what he heard and everyone was sure they were in trouble, being called on the carpet over some of it. Information was probably being demanded as well. Which they knew would cause problems for Albus and the Order, big ones. These were, of course, areas that were important and ones he had to pay attention to because they would end up troublesome in many ways, however, Remus couldn't focus on them. Instead, his mind was replaying everything Sirius had said to him. And it was making his gut curdle with guilt. All those years ago, he was certain he made the right choice in allowing Albus to place Harry with his relatives. Even now, he was sure it was the right way to deal with the situation. After all, he was alone in the world and only he would have tended to the small child. He just wasn't able to care for a small child on his own because of all he dealt with. However, he wondered now if he should have been a presence in Harry's life. If he had even made regular visits, Petunia and Vernon may not have treated him so shabbily. And he could have guided Harry the right way. Then, once the nightmare began, he could have helped. Oh, he didn't agree with all Sirius said, like what he said about Albus, but he could have helped. He hadn't, though, and would now have to deal with the fallout from it. It included Harry and Sirius backing away from helping the Order. With a heavy sigh, as the voices around the table grew louder, he pulled himself out of his thoughts. It was good he did, because he didn't want to think about some of what Sirius said to him. He would have to, probably that night when he was alone, but he didn't want to. It hit too close to home or his mind would work it over, making him wonder if it wasn't right. After all, he prided himself on not being a coward and thinking for himself. While he would admit to some self pity, it was understandable he felt that way, what with his condition. After giving himself mental swat, Remus focused on the conversation around him. It was chaos. There were plenty of questions being tossed about with no real answers. Severus was pacing while others were fretting, not sure what to do. However, his eyes widened when Aberforth lit into Albus.“I told you all along to stop playing games, Albus,” Aberforth snarled, glaring at his brother. “This is the result of your foolishness. Not only did the two apparently figure out what you were planning, since I don't hear you denying any of it, but your plotting has driven them away when we need them the most! That Prophecy—you made sure to hide it well. Even we didn't know what it said until it came out. Of course, it caused an uproar. Now it appears they've figured out what you didn't bother to tell us about it! And I don't blame them a damned bit for being hopping mad.”Before Albus could answer, Severus stopped pacing, folding his arms over his chest then asked, tone decidedly icy, “Is it true what Black said? There was a Horcrux in Potter's scar?”Going in today, when he heard Harry and Sirius were back, Albus assumed the help they so desperately needed had arrived. While two bodies wouldn't mean much, Harry being around could do plenty when it came to others helping the cause. Then there was the fulfillment of the Prophecy. Now, though, everything was a mess. He wasn't sure yet if the whole disaster was salvageable, but he hoped so. He just had to figure out a way. However, questions like the one Severus asked wouldn't assist matters. While he didn't like them, he wasn't going to lie either. With a heavy sigh, he nodded then said, “Yes, I figured out Tom accidentally left a piece of himself in Harry's scar that awful night so long ago. For this war to end, it needed removed. It's what part of the Prophecy meant.”“So, you hid this fact from all of us for all these years, wanting the brat back so he could die?” Severus asked, glaring harder at him. “A nice sacrifice to end the war. Nothing like grooming students to die, Albus.”With a snort, Moody added, tone gloomy, “And the two figured it out and won't trust a damned word you say now, leaving us with our backsides hanging out. I doubt there is any way to get them to help with anything. If that's not bad enough, they put it out there for the world to hear. I can take a flier and guess it'll be plastered all over every paper out there in the morning as well so everyone in the UK can read it. More that isn't welcome and leaves all the rest of us plenty exposed, especially those in the Order. We won't go into the nightmare it's about to set off. The other side knows as well as we do what that Prophecy says. I'll bet my wand he's going to take it as it means he has a free rein to cut completely loose since Potter made it as clear as he can he won't help. With how that damned Prophecy is worded, he may well take it as Potter hasn't fulfilled his end and is walking off. We don't need anything that can come of such assumptions.”“We'll deal accordingly,” Albus soothed with a soft sigh. “It just means we have more work to tend to, nothing more. Given time, if they stay in the country long enough and see what's going on, Sirius and Harry may change their minds. We just need to give them space to let cooler heads prevail.”“You know Sirius as well as I do, Albus,” Minerva chimed in, shaking her head. “It's very doubtful he's going to cool off any time soon since he's apparently right. If the trust isn't there, he's not about to help. If Harry was with him for any length of time, something it sounds like is true, Sirius will have convinced him as well. And they're married, from what I was told. The fact they are will make it all the harder. We just need to hope that something, somewhere, happens to change their mind. Until then, we need to leave it alone or send someone they aren't infuriated with to talk with them and see what their leanings are. Well, after they cool down a little.”“Yes, leaving them alone is for the best. At least for a time. Despite what they think, they will probably need protection. I'm not sure Tom will leave them alone, despite the fact they made it clear they want nothing to do with the war.” Albus sighed, planning to get with a few he thought he might be able to persuade to meet with the two so they could talk the situation over. If they knew the true leanings on so much, they may be able to figure out measures to convince them to help. He was sure this war couldn't end if Harry didn't take on Tom. Him leaving the country wasn't an option as far as Albus was concerned. This war couldn't end without Harry.Straightening up, he said, looking determined, “First, we need to discuss some matters then we'll jump into what we need to tend to. I'm sure a good deal worse is coming from this.” While he knew there were probably plenty of questions over what was said, he didn't want to get into those yet. He needed time to figure out what he wanted to say without making a horrid situation even worse. So, he began making sure everyone was focused on this rather than what was said earlier.
About an hour and a half after the 'meeting' fully kicked off, Ron, Tonks and Kingsley came in. All three of them were pale when they took their seats. Ron stared down at the table, hands clasped. Tonks leaned heavily against Remus, her hair a mousy brown, eyes shut. And Kingsley just flopped in his chair, putting his head in his hands.
A concerned look on his face, Albus glanced around then asked, “Is there anything you need to impart? From the looks, I assume all didn't go well.”“It didn't,” Ron told him, shaking his head. “Rufus is right irate over what was said in the Alley.”“I don't think irate is a strong enough word,” Kingsley muttered, not lifting his head. “Infuriated might come close, but even that’s not there.”“What happened?” Moody asked, looking between the three, brow furrowed.“Ron and I were on the receiving end of a right bollocking from him about not passing information. Not only did we get a reaming I doubt either of us are going to forget anytime soon, but we're both suspended for a week over it.”“No,” Molly gasped, looking at her son who was nodding.“Unpaid leave at that,” Ron added, tone disgruntled. “Then we have desk duty for a month. We'll be assigned, even after coming off desk duty, to matters that don't pertain to the war, with spells to ensure we can't even so much as read reports containing information about what's going on with it. And he made it very clear that if he finds out we passed information to anyone outside the department we're fired.”“Oh Merlin,” Arthur said, going ashen in color. Eyes flicking to Albus, who looked worried as well, he shook his head.“Kingsley ended up on the receiving end of the worst,” Tonks told everyone, glancing around, still pale herself.“I've been demoted,” Kingsley gruffed, shaking his head after finally lifting it. “More than one rung as well. I'm no longer head of the Aurors and am ranked about mid-level. And I've been suspended for a month, without pay. Once I come back, I'm being assigned to the DMLE proper for six months. Like with the other two, I'm not allowed to view anything to do with the war with spells to ensure it.”Though Albus looked concerned and was about to say something, Kingsley cut him off, “That’s not the worst. Come tomorrow, each of us are being called in and questioned about what we know hasn't been passed along to the Ministry when it comes to information. If he finds out we've hidden anything, we're fired.”Then he glanced around at others in the Ministry, he added, softly, “This doesn't come from anything I was told, so I'm not in danger of getting in more trouble for passing it, but something I overheard. As I left, I heard a few talking about Rufus calling in everyone in the Ministry who are attached to the Order to question them over what they know. From what was said, and it was by the Aurors that arrested Sirius, the two wouldn't give up any information to Rufus on what they knew. Sirius wasn't really arrested, the way I understood it, but it was a ploy to get information out of them about what they said. They wouldn't tell him anything. In fact, from what I heard, it was a rather loud shouting match that could be heard through the door because Harry flat out refused to give up any information or help in any way. The two were released, of course. And their Solicitor threatened all kinds of legal moves and to go to the press if Rufus didn't lay off. So, I'm sure he's plenty furious because most know to give him what he wants. I think this was one of only a small handful of times, other than with criminals, he wasn't able to get information out of someone. My guess is he plans to get the information another way and it's from those in the Order he has the most pull with because of their jobs in the Ministry.”His eyes drifting to the pale Ginny, he added, “Because of your attachment to your parents and some others, I'm betting you'll be pulled in as well.” Ginny was in Auror training at the moment, not fully in the department yet, which left her in an even more precarious position. There was no guarantee that even if she did give up what she knew, she wouldn't be booted out.“Understood,” Ginny stammered out, pale and shaking over the implications.“I want all of you to give up everything,” Albus told them, looking around. “I'm insistent on that stance. We are not, and never have, asked you to risk your jobs over matters pertaining to the Order.” While he wouldn't like the information discussed at meetings revealed to Rufus, he was thankful the worst of what he knew was something he hadn't mentioned in open meetings and only to a select few. “If it comes down to it, distance yourself from us. There are many ways you can help the cause besides what we do. And we need those ways as well.”However, after he pressed on to get information they had, parts they wouldn't get in trouble for, and counseling those that worked in the Ministry how best to handle questioning, he was worried. If Rufus was going after leaks in the Ministry, it meant that the biggest source of information he had would dry up. Oh, plenty of others could get him bits, but not like those employed in the Ministry. And it would hurt. However, not all the information which came his way from the Ministry was from those in the Order. There were other sources. Tonight he would have to get with those and warn them what might be coming so they could protect themselves. He hoped Rufus didn't know about them so it could continue. With all that was going on, he needed information now more than ever.
As she sat there, feeling Ron take her hand, Hermione listened intently. While listening, she made mental notes about all she was hearing. And she was furious over some of it.
All those years ago, when she convinced Sirius to take Harry, she knew there was something wrong. As she grew older and heard more, then joined the Order when it reformed, what she heard shored up her decision. Then, when the Prophecy was leaked, she was even more certain than before. Now? She was absolutely livid over some of it. Over the years, she hadn't been certain what was being planned for Harry, though her gut told her it was bad. Between what Sirius said in the Alley and what she was hearing now, it was worse than she could have ever imaged. As she listened in to what Albus was saying, she was sure part of his plan was for Harry to face that maniac alone and die. No! It wasn't his right to pull this stunt. If Harry had gone along as he was previously, she was sure he would have done whatever to please Albus. Thankfully, he hadn't and would stay wary. While the conversation pressed into the second hour, with Albus talking about missions they needed to tend to, areas which needed shored up and various other bits they needed to get in place, Hermione thought about Rufus. She was certain one of the people he would want to talk to was her. Between her engagement to Ron, the fact she was friends with Harry in school and how well known it was she was a member of the Order, she was sure he had her locked in his sights. The more Albus talked, the more she thought she should talk to him then give up everything she could and had learned over the years. Well, she would leave out what she knew about Harry leaving, of course. Everything else she would tell him. In fact, she thought she might see if she could get in touch that night. If she could go in after hours, no one would be the wiser she was telling him what she knew. After all, it had to look good. When it finally looked like the meeting was about to come to a close, she had decided. Ron and his family would want to talk, of course, but she planned to get a message off to the Minister as soon as she was able. Just so no one found out, something she knew he could ensure, she would tell him what she knew. This dance had gone on long enough. If what Harry and Sirius said was true, the war could have been ended long ago if Albus had done what was needed. No, it was time it ended and Harry was left alone for good. She vowed she would do all she could to make sure it happened.
When Harry shoved him down onto the bed on his back, Sirius just chuckled. Oh, they were going to continue what they started before they left, but it appeared Harry wanted to take charge this time. Of course, it was fine with him. He didn't rightly give a damn how they did what most times. Besides, the change up was always fun.
As his clothes were pulled off rather roughly, he put a hand on the back of Harry's head and pulled him down into a heated kiss, tongue slipping into his mouth. He then moaned when Harry removed the last of his clothes and he felt his husband's hand start to rub up and down his chest, ensuring it passed over his nipples several times. Then he shivered when Harry pinched each of them a couple times. Oh yes, Harry was in a more aggressive mood than normal. Again, fine with him as they would both have a lot of fun with it.Mouth locked on Sirius', Harry moaned into it as he touched his husband. Their clothes were already on the floor and he had the lube, so he could press on. Neither of them were the type to have long, drawn out romantic sessions, though those did happen once in a while, and he was just in the mood to have a good rut. Apparently, Sirius didn't mind either or he would have said something by now. Perfect. After pulling back and breaking off the kiss, Harry looked down at Sirius and grinned a bit, hand still running over his chest. Both of them were already rock hard and ready, so he could press on. He then scooted down slightly and leaned over his husband before beginning to kiss and suck on his neck, making sure to hit the places he knew Sirius loved. Biting softly on the pulse point, hearing, and feeling, the moan it elicited, he then soothed it with his tongue before trailing down to lick up and down his collarbone. He didn't linger there, though, and kept moving south, scooting down as he did. Tongue tracing down Sirius' breastbone, he pulled back and commented, “While I liked the tattoos and thought they were hot, it's better without them, I think.” Then he shifted over and began to suck and softly teeth one of Sirius' nipples. With a loud moan, Sirius arched up, digging his fingers into Harry's hair and gasping at the sensations. The tattoos—yeah, he had them removed several years ago. Harry had been disappointed at the time as he liked them, but they were identifying marks they didn't need and stood out too much. Even now, Harry still commented on them, though he made it a point to say he was just as sexy without them. He thought it might be the dangerous aspect that came with them because they were the crude prison type rather than professionally done. And he was more relaxed about leaving his shirt open because they had been a reminder of a past he wanted to forget. Though quickly any thought of those tattoos was long gone as Harry moved down, tracing that talented tongue of his down his stomach and was at the start of his pubic hair. When he reached the short and curlies, Harry lifted his head and grinned evilly at Sirius before blowing softly on his husband's already fully hard and twitching dick. The moan the act brought made him do it again, just to be evil.“Rotten little shit,” Sirius breathed, fingers still buried in Harry's hair. Giving his hair a gentle tug, he panted, “Suck my cock.”“As you wish,” Harry chuckled then inclined his head and took just the head of Sirius' cock in his mouth and sucked on it, tongue wrapping around it the best he could manage as he did. Then he grinned internally at the loud moan from Sirius. As he sucked, one hand drifted down to fondle Sirius's heavy balls, rubbing them gently and squeezing softly.“Yes!” Sirius hissed, arching up slightly, fingers digging into Harry's scalp as he did. He then thrust slightly, trying to get Harry to take more of his throbbing cock in his mouth. “Suck me, Harry,” he demanded, though he figured that would just make his husband hold off more to torment him. With an internal grin, Harry began to hum around the head of his husband's cock but made no move to take more in his mouth. While he did, he grabbed the lube and managed to get some on his fingers. Making damned sure they were slick, he then slipped his hand down to Sirius' arse and began to trace his fingers around the tight pucker before gently and slowly easing one in. With a slow, gentle pressure, he slipped it all the way in then began to twist it around.“Fuck!” Sirius shouted, shivering at the sensations dancing through his body. “Hurry the hell up,” he then breathed, his eyes sliding shut. Oh yes, he couldn't wait to feel Harry's cock slide into his arse.Harry finally relented then lowered his mouth all the way down on Sirius' cock. Sucking hard, not moving his head, his tongue found that spot right under the head on the underside and began to rub against it while he hummed. As he did, he slipped another finger into Sirius' tight arse then began scissoring them, twisting them slightly as he did. Then, finally, he began to bob his head. As Sirius moaned and writhed under him, he managed to get to his knees, arse high in the air. He could feel his own cock throbbing madly in sync with his heart, the head of it wet. It was demanding he fuck the living shit out of his husband, but he ignored it. In the end, it would get what it wanted, just not yet.“Come on, Harry,” Sirius groaned, hands still clutching Harry's head, hips thrusting slightly. As it was, the evil person he called his husband was driving him mad, making sure to brush very lightly over his prostate with each thrust of his finger, something that felt amazing but wasn't nearly enough to get him off. He wanted the cock in his arse, now, and for Harry to fuck him hard. Of course, Harry needed to torture him first, something normal. He just hoped to hurry him along, at least a little.Slipping another finger in, Harry began to bob his head faster, twisting his fingers around as he did. Humming more, he sucked as hard as he could, tongue rubbing on his husband's cock. While he wanted to press on, he wouldn't yet. It was so much fun teasing Sirius that he always had to, at least a little.“Fuck yes,” Sirius gritted out between clenched teeth as he felt his cock throbbing harder, his blood rushing in his ears and whole body tingling. Unable to hold still, he squirmed all over from the sensations. “Fuck me,” he moaned out, though he was sure it would take more persuasion than saying it to get Harry moving. With an evil internal chuckle, Harry actually slowed down his head as he slipped another finger in, twisting and thrusting them slowly, ensuring he gently brushed the very tips of them over Sirius' prostate as he did. From times past, he could guess what was coming next, but didn't make a move to press on, wanting to make damned sure Sirius was to that state before he did.And that was all Sirius could handle. He was at the end of his self control with the teasing. Rearing up, propping himself up on an elbow, he pulled Harry's mouth off his cock with the one hand still gripping his hair. Skin flushed red, sweat now beading his body, he looked at his husband then growled through clenched teeth, “Fuck me now! Enough with the teasing shit, Harry!”Harry chuckled and grinned at Sirius, swiping the dribbles of saliva off his chin. “A bit demanding, aren't we, Sirius?” He asked, though he was shifting around to get into the position he wanted.“Rotten little shit,” Sirius moaned, flopping back down since Harry was moving how he wanted him. “You enjoy torturing me too damned much,” he added, reaching down to stroke his twitching cock as he did, though doing so slowly.“Learned it all from you, too,” Harry tossed right back as he slid into place. Gripping his own throbbing and twitching cock, he stroked it a couple times to get lube on it then held the head to Sirius' tight arsehole. Then, slowly, he began to ease it in, panting heavily as he did.“That's it,” Sirius moaned as the head of his husband's cock slid into him. “Fuck me, Harry,” he panted out. “Hurry the hell up!”Once he had his cock all the way in, Harry began to fuck Sirius in long, slow strokes. Head going back, he moaned loudly at the sensations, body quivering from them. “So good,” he panted out as he thrust, gripping onto Sirius' hips as he did.“Harder, faster,” Sirius panted out, grinding on the cock in his arse. Still stroking his own cock with one hand, he propped himself up on one hand and leaned up to kiss Harry passionately. As he held onto Sirius' hip with one hand, Harry moved the other to the back of Sirius' head and pulled him into the kiss, holding him there. Hips moving faster, he moaned into his husband's mouth, body feeling like it had caught fire. That tight arse clenched around his cock, increasing the sensations, made it jerk and throb madly.Sirius grunted into Harry's mouth as he fucked him, grinding his arse on the cock buried in it while his hand moved faster on his own. Skin prickling, goose bumps raised over every inch, he could feel that mad throb in his belly that heralded him coming close to the end.Thrusting faster, moaning louder in Sirius' mouth, Harry felt every hair on his body standing on end as sweat trickled down his spine. Everything seemed like it was throbbing and his balls ached, telling him it wouldn't be much longer.Hand almost a blur on his cock, Sirius clenched his arse around Harry's cock and ground on it as hard as he could. Mouth leaving Harry's, his head dropped back and he moaned loudly as his blood seemed to turn to liquid fire then he came, gasping the younger man's name, splattering both their chests.Continuing to thrust, Harry looked down and watched Sirius cum then lifted his eyes to his husband's face, adoring the look there. Panting heavily himself, his head then dropped back as Sirius' already tight arse clenched harder around him then seemed to spasm madly. It was all he could take. With a loud cry, he came, cock jerking in Sirius' tight arse as he did. Hips continuing to thrust on their own, he held on as the tsunami of pleasurable sensations washed over him. Eyes shutting, he moaned Sirius' name over and over as he finished before collapsing forward, both of them flopping down once more.Holding Harry close, Sirius rolled them onto their sides when the other man's softening dick slid out of his arse. With a grin, he reached up and stroked Harry's sweat-soaked hair then kissed him on the forehead. Oh, this was the way to end a rather shitty day if there ever was one. Eyes going shut again, he held Harry close. Yeah, it wasn't good, all that happened, but they'd make it somehow. It would just take time and watching over their shoulder, nothing more. Because there was no damned way in hell he was going to let anyone, he didn't give a shit who it was, to use his husband for anything. No chance. Both of them had lost too much over the years for them to chance losing each other to a war they wanted no part of. And he was sure plenty would learn that particular lesson the hard way before they left again.
About two AM, Hermione was sitting at the desk in her apartment scribbling out a longish letter. After the Order meeting then spending time with Ron, who was not in a good mood after his suspension, she managed to get in touch with a member of the DMLE that she knew had no connections with the Order and wanted nothing to do with Albus. He had set up a meeting with Rufus, making damned sure no one knew she was there. While she believed in what the Order was doing and helping the cause, she had laid out for Rufus everything she knew because she was aware he could do more with the information than the Order could, especially since she was certain Albus was still hiding plenty. Rufus, though not happy with some of what he heard, liked getting the information. He had also managed to get her to agree to feed him everything she could when it came to what Albus was doing. In the end, that wasn't as hard of a decision as she thought and she felt better knowing she would be helping end the war with what she could give him.
When she came home, she decided to write Harry a letter. Oh, it would be expected after seeing him again, but what she was doing wasn't just reconnecting with an old friend. She had written that kind, of course, but she was attaching another to it, one hidden with a spell that only Harry and Sirius would be able to open. What she was going for was to give them some information and hoping to arrange a meeting so she could get what they knew then feed them everything she could to keep them safe while they were in the UK. It would be tricky to manage, but she hoped to accomplish it. After all, her feeling from so long ago was now confirmed and she wanted to continue to help. She just hoped they'd get the letter and find a way.Eyes tired and burning, she continued to write, putting everything she could in the letter, hoping to finish soon so she could go to bed. After all, it would be another long day tomorrow, for plenty of reasons. And she was exhausted from all that had gone on that day as well. However, she felt good. Unlike times past, she didn't feel like a traitor to the cause for what she was doing. No, she was helping plenty, including the two that needed it the most to stay safe. It was that thought that kept her going though she wanted to find her bed. In the end, it would be worth it if they managed to get out without being drawn into the war again.
