‘Why are you so nervous? It’s just Hermione. If Ron were with her that’s be one thing.’ Harry paced his room as he waited for the time to meet Hermione to arrive. He thought about what he would tell her, how he would tell her.
‘I hope I don’t lose her as a friend.’ He thought as he checked the clock again.
‘Screw this, I’m going downstairs to read.’
Harry grabbed one of his wandless magic books and want down to the pub to wait for Hermione. He was just starting the chapter on how to perfect ones’ wandless skills when she walked in. Harry waved her over to the table he was sitting at.
“Hello Harry. How have you been?” She asked as they hugged.
“Better than ever Hermione.” The two friends sat and caught up while they ordered dinner.
“So, what is this all about?” Hermione asked after their food had arrived.
Harry steeled himself, and told her everything that he had been up to. He even told her how Malfoy had helped her and that they really didn’t want to work for Voldemort any more. They were tired of being his piggy bank and wanted out.
“And you believe them?” Hermione couldn’t believe what Harry was saying.
“Yes. Mister Malfoy kept his word and helped me get emancipated. I looked over all the paperwork last night and all the stamps are official.” Hermione shook her head.
“Anything else life changing happen?”
“Yes.”
Harry opened the letter and jumped out of bed, unshrinking his mountain of trunks. There were only five trunks, but for Harry that was still a lot. He looked at the letter. It read:
I will get that wand back no matter what.
It was unsigned and left Harry worried. He opened all the trunks and grabbed his wand. Pointing it at the trunks he said,
“Accio wand!”
In amazement, he watched three wands fly towards him. He floated them down onto the bed and looked them over. Two held the crests of Gryffindor and Slytherin. He picked up Gryffindor’s wand and felt a tingle shoot up his arm. He felt the wand bond to him, just like his original wand had. Looking it over he decided to look up what kind of wand it was and how it could help him. He accioed Hogwarts a History over a flipped to the chapter on the Founders. He learned that Gryffindor’s wand was made of red oak with a dragon heart string as its core. He read that it was great for dueling and required someone with quick reflexes to use it. He set it back down and looked at Slytherins’ wand.
‘I should look this up before I pick it up.’
Harry looked up Slytherins’ wand. He found that Slytherin had created his own wand out of snakewood with a Basilisk horn core. He couldn’t find any special properties to it so found it safe to grab. He picked it up and felt it bond to him as well.
‘Seriously? What am I supposed to do with three wands?’
Without thinking he grabbed the third wand and felt it bond to him. Harry let out a little scream of frustration. He set down all the wands and walked over to the trunks. He saw that each trunk had an items list stuck to the inside of the lids. He left them and closed the trunks. With a heavy sigh he went back to bed.
“Can I see the wands?” Hermione asked.
Harry pulled all three wands out and set them down in front of her. Hermione let out a little gasp.
“Harry, what are you doing with Dumbledore’s’ wand?”
“What?”
Hermione picked up the third wand.
“This is Dumbledore’s wand. Why do you have it?”
“It showed up in one of the Peverell trunks. Why would Dumbledore have one of their wands?”
Hermione sat and thought for a minute.
“This could be the Elder Wand. You have the cloak so it would only make sense that this would be the wand from the stories.”
“So why would Dumbledore have it?”
“Well, from what I’ve read, he won it when he defeated Grindelwald. I’m not sure how he got the wand though.”
“Wow. How upset do you think he will be when he finds out that I inherited it?”
“I have no idea. He will be most upset about you inheriting the school more than anything.”
“Why would that upset him?”
“You OWN half the school. That means that you can make changes and he can’t stop you.”
“Changes?”
“To anything. The wards, policies, curriculum, anything.”
That thought had never crossed his mind. He could start making changes to the school and make it better!
“Hermione, I want you to be one of my advisors. You are super organized and I could really use your help, especially with the plans I have forming in my head.”
“Would you include Ron?”
“No. After the way he has treated me over the last year, ignored me so far this summer and over all doesn’t seem like a true friend, I really just want to cut ties with him.”
“what about the rest of the family?”
“The twins I’m in business with so I can’t cut ties with them and Molly has been like a mother to me so I wouldn’t want to hurt her like that. Really, it’s just Ron that’s treating me like crap.”
“I agree. Now, lets start getting your books in order. We may need an outside source to look over your properties once school starts, but we can at least get started.”
Harry smiled. He was so happy that his best friend was so accepting of everything, even Malfoy. They walked to his room and Harry showed her the list of lands and properties he owned.
“Well, lets begin.” Hermione said as she grabbed a quill and parchment.

Thank you everyone for the reviews. To answer some questions, I am taking my last three classes to get my BS in Psychology. I picked the age 15 for this story to start so that when they are older, Harry and Draco had this year of getting things figured out to grow as friends before I start to shift their relationship. I plan on post a chapter a week once classes start up. If I need to change that I will let you guys know. I aslo don't plan on having this thing sit forever with out any updates. If I have to I will finish it where it is and close it out so that way it will be finished. I want this story to be kind of long and span a few years. I may break it down into the seperate years so that it isn't too long.
