CHAPTER ELEVEN.

They were standing there, engulfed in white....it was almost like heaven...

“Draco...please come back to me...I love you so much...” Harry whispered sadly.

Draco hesitated. “But you hurt me Harry. You ripped my heart into pieces...”

A single tear trailed down Harry’s soft cheek.

“I know Draco... You didn’t deserve any of that... and I don’t deserve you...”

“You said you never wanted to see my face again...I’ll never forget the look on your face Harry.”

Harry bent his head in shame. “Draco, please forgive me... I was wrong.”

“Do you love me Harry?” Draco asked softly.

Harry smiled through his tears. “I love you, and I’ll always love you Draco.” He reached out his hand and touched Draco’s face gently. Draco’s skin tingled where Harry touched it.

“I love you Harry...” The whiteness slowly faded to black and suddenly his body began aching all over. He tried to move his body but it felt heavy, as if held down by a weight.

He slowly opened his eyes and nearly shut them again from the brightness of the small lamp on the bedside table. At first, everything was very blurry and he had to squint to adjust his focus. He tried to move again but couldn’t and looked down towards his chest.

Harry with his eyes closed, had his head on Draco’s chest and his left hand entwined with Draco’s. His other hand was cupping Draco’s chin, just like in the dream. There were tear stains on Harry’s cheek and his breathing was steady and deep.

Draco lifted his arm painfully and stroked H’s raven black hair gently. He couldn’t stay angry with Harry. He never could. Although the sting of his words from the fight still remained. What could he have done to anger Harry so?

He racked his brain for memories of the events that had happened after the argument... Why was he in the hospital wing? He didn’t remember coming here...

And how long had he been here?

‘Oh yeah.” he thought. ‘I went to the Prefects’ bathroom... but that doesn’t explain why I’m here...’. Then he remembered. The yells, his own yells, broken glass, blood, water... he shivered. Had Harry found him?

He was distracted from his train of thoughts when he felt Harry’s hand slide off his face. Harry’s eyes sprang open and emerald met gray.

“Draco! You’re awake!” Harry’s face broke into a huge smile and he lunged forward hugging Draco tightly. “Oh my god Draco, I almost lost you...”

Draco pulled Harry closer. “Harry... I missed you so much.”

“I missed you like hell Draco. I’m so fucking sorry!” he pulled away and looked into
Draco’s eyes. “I had a dream about you just now...”

Draco smiled. “I did too.”

“You did?”

“Yeah, and you were crying and apologizing and telling me that you loved me.”

Ha#146#146;s eyes widened. “Me too!” But then his expression sobered and his voice dropped to a hoarse whisper. “And I do love you Drake. I almost lost you because of my ignorance and stupidity... I’m so sorry Drake...”

Draco embraced Harry. “What happened?”

Harry gave a sigh. “I should’ve trusted you and explained it to you then...then I wouldn’t have had to hurt you.”

“You can tell me now Harry.” Draco said quietly.

Harry nodded. “Listen, this might sound confusing but I’ll explain it best I can...That day, I was in the Library, studying and I noticed Blaise walk by- followed closely
by Pansy... and you.”

Draco’s mouthppedpped open. “B-but I was nowhere near the Library!”

“I know Draco. But no doubt it was you. So I decided to follow you and her to see where you’d go. We went all the way down to the Dungeons before we stopped.”

“But I wasn’t- I never-” Draco stuttered.

“Wait. Listen to the whole story. When we got to the dungeons, Blaise stopped and then I saw you and Pansy- kissing.” Harry said slowly.

“Harry! You know I would never touch a whore like her!” Draco said indignantly.
Harry looked apologetic. “But you must imagine what it was like for me, seeing my lover and his ex making out. So I ran from there.”

“BUT IT WASN’T ME HARRY!!” Draco screamed.

“Wait! Listen to the end.” Harry said, gripping Draco’s hand. “So then, you came along and after seeing that little scene, I was furious at you for even coming near me. You didn’t even mention anything and was acting like you had no clue what was going on.”

Draco opened his mouth to retort but Harry lay a finger on his lips. Draco fell silent.
“After I left you, Hermione caught up with me and I explained the situation to her. I’m so incredibly thankful that she’s such a bookworm. She knows about most charms and she immediately realized that Pansy had probably used the Reflectus Charm. She convinced me that the you in the Dungeon corridors was not even you at all.”

Draco was stunned. He had no idea what to say. “The- the Reflectus Charm? What’s that?”

“It’s a complicated spell that makes a visibly solid duplicate of one’s self. And the duplicate can appear in any shape or form of a person. They mirror all your moves and everything and Pansy was using that spell to make a duplicate of herself into you. Hermione said that Pansy was probably doing it to make Blaise jealous...” Harry explained softly. “So you see.... I made the biggest fucking mistake assuming it was you when all alongnew new that you’d never do anything like that...to me.”

Draco continued to look petrified. “I- I had no idea....”

“Draco, you’ve got to forgive me!” pleaded Harry. “I’ll never be able to make it up to you but I WILL try my best to mend what I’ve broken in your heart.”

Tears were trying to push themselves into the corners of Draco’s eyes. He gritted his teeth and stubbornly shook them away.

“Draco...” Harry said again.

“Harry. You know I love you too much to give up on you.” Draco said finally after taking a long breath. He felt his throat clogging up from all the emotions that were welling inside him. “But promise me you’ll never ever let me go.”

Harry’s lip was trembling slightly as he nodded. “Draco, you’re too good to me you know that?”

Draco smiled weakly. “Yeah probably. But promise me Harry. Promise me that you’ll never ever let me go.”

“Of course Drake. Of course. I wouldn’t leave you even if my life depended on it.”
Harry whispered, kissing Draco softly on the lips. “I love you Drake.”

“I love you too.” Draco said, kissing Harry back passionately.

And so these two tragic lovers, retie their destinies together and agreed to start anew with their newborn love. Vowing never to part forever and ever.
