Fluffy Apologies
It took every ounce of Draco's will power to not glance at Harry during the Potion's lesson. Though he glanced at his flowers quite often, as Snape had thought them a distraction, he had placed them in the front of the room, in sugar water to keep them fresh. That however, had backfired and caused more of a distraction then when they had been at Draco's desk.
'Snape just can't win when it comes to Harry and I.' Draco thought, suppressing a laugh. He glanced back at his flowers and couldn't help but glow. He hadn't ever received presents from his parents. Well, not often anyways...
The eagle owl wasn't carrying sweets from his Mother; it was carrying sweets that he had bought for himself. Everyone at the Slytherin table knew that, he hadn't bothered to correct any other table when they whispered about how his parents spoiled him, even at school.
The bell eventually rang, and Draco waited until everyone had left the room to go and pick up his apology flowers from the teacher's desk.
"Mr. Malfoy, I do hope this is the last time you choose to cause a distraction in class. I also noticed you and Mr. Potter weren't sitting in the back of the room hand in hand as usual, I do hope this means that you have decided to concentrate on your studies once again." Snape said, in the harsh fatherly tone he constantly used with only Draco.
"Yes Godfather," Draco said, smiling at Snape and picking up the vase, the flowers and everything else. Snape glanced around quickly.
"You know no one is supposed to know of that relationship, Draco, people will think I favor you. I hope you didn't tell Potter." Snape hissed, Draco actually giggled, a new habit he had picked up from spending time with Harry; he said it made him sound cute and innocent.
"Oh, relax Sev, no one is here, and no I didn't tell Harry, but I might eventually... If we get back together and he stops being an idiot. Plus, you do favor me, everyone knows that," Draco said, suddenly feeling very sad again.
"You... You broke up?" Snape asked, trying to hide his glee, "I'm truly sorry Draco, now maybe you can get back to your studies and possibly find another nice boy..."
Snape shut up when he saw the glare he was shot from his godson. "I don't want anyone else, I just don't want Harry right now either, he really hurt me. I mean it, Sev."
Snape had laughed softly, until he saw the tears of anger, hurt and frustration fill his godsons eyes. "You know Potter, he will find a way to get you back, he always gets what he wants, same as you Drake, you'll both get what you really want and need in the end."
"I hope your right, Professor," Draco said, smiling at him quickly before leaving the Potion's classroom where he ran right into the reason he was crying again.
"Look, Draco, I'm really, really sorry about everything, I love you, I do. Please, meet me at the Room of Requirement at lunch, please." Harry pleaded; the look in his eyes was so pathetic that even Draco couldn't find the heart to say no.
"Alright, fine, but make whatever you have to do in there quick, Potter. I don't have time for this." He managed to sound slightly cold, but when he saw the hope glimmer in Harry's eyes, he couldn't resist a smile.

Harry blew off Defense against the Dark Arts, the one class he should probably be attending above all others. He didn't have the time to get to Hogsmead and back however, unless he had skipped the lesson. He didn't even know if he would be able to get there and back even if he did skip it.
He panted as he sprinted into Magical Misfits, suddenly wishing he had taken more gold form his account in Gringotts then he had. He found what he was looking for, and walked up to the counter.

"Potter better be on time, or I'll skin him for making me miss all of lunch," Draco hissed as he entered the room of requirement. Now that he thought about it, flowers weren't enough to win back his heart. The boy had bloody lied, and the likelihood of him even paying attention during anything Draco had said was slim to none.
Draco imagined the conversations that he and Harry had had in their fairly brief relationship. The thoughts that must have gone through Harry's head as he listened to the blonde Slytherin, the thoughts of laughter and probably of Quidditch and classes as he spilled his heart out.
He slumped in the chair angrily and glared into the fireplace, absently wondering why the fireplace was lit in the spring. That wasn't the point right now however, the point was he was pissed, he knew he was being slightly irrational, he hadn't even listened to Harry's end of things.
He heard the door open and turned to face the dark haired Gryffindor standing slightly awkward due to a package. He opened his mouth to speak, but Draco cut him off.
"Bastard, did you honestly think flowers and a sweet song would be enough to win my heart back? After you lied to me, used me and then almost cheated on me? It's not Potter! I hate you for it, and yet..." Draco looked away, "I love you, I don't get it. You did the worst thing I think anyone could have done. The one thing I denied to do, which got me kicked out of my house, howlers from my father and disappointment from my mother."
Harry leaned over and set the package down in the chair and grabbed Draco, "Listen to me and believe me or not, just listen." Draco nodded, and Harry sat on the ground in front of him, "It started as a job, my simple job as a spy, something I could do for the order, to avenge Cedric, Sirius and all the others. Then after I listened to what you said, and heard that you weren't a spoiled little boy, I saw the real Malfoy, the one I learned to love and care for. I knew flowers wouldn't cut it, but I figured it was a start. I needed to show you that I was listening to you, prove to you that my trust for you was real, and I really did want your trust."
Harry had picked up the package now, and held it out to Draco, who noticed little holes in the box, he heard rustling inside and knew whatever was in the box, was alive. He looked up at Harry, who laughed softly, "It might bite, but I can promise it isn't that dangerous."
Harry pulled off the string and pulled the lid off the box, he gasped at what he saw and looked up at Harry, smiling.
It was a kitten, black and white with a tiny black nose and a long spotted black and white tail. His body was also splashed with a mixture of black and white; it looked up at Draco with its yellow eyes and mewed at him in a soft little meow.
"Is he..." Draco asked, holding the kitten in the palm of his hand, smiling at the innocent little eyes.
"Yes, he's yours, you said you always wanted a cat. Well, I ran down, blowing off DADA and grabbed him for you, he doesn't have a name yet, so feel free to name he whatever you'd like." Harry said, smiling at the look on the blonde boy's face.
"You mean it, I can really keep him forever?" Draco asked, not willing himself to believe it was true, Harry nodded, and Draco turned back to his new kitten, "How about I name you... Willow."
Harry looked at Draco questioningly, Draco smiled, "Isn't that what your tree is? A willow? It's the perfect name for the little fur ball."
Harry laughed and Draco picked up the kitten and climbed into Harry's lap, putting Willow in the gap between them. "Thank you, Harry. I love him, I really do. I finally got what I really wanted, a cat and you."
Author note: No this isn't the end, there will be smut I promise.
