Epilogue

EPILOGUE

Minerva McGonagall sat in her office at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and tried to ready herself for the upcoming school year. The last couple of years had been horrific in one way or another, ever since that fateful day three years ago….

“All first year students gather round to be sorted into your houses.” She unrolled the new roster and read off the first several names. As she came almost to the end she had begun to smile as she recognized a few of the newer student’s names.

“Amber Weasley.” The little strawberry blonde perched her dainty little self on the stool, her freckled cheeks stretched in a wide smile. “Gryffindor!”

“Griffin Potter.” The little boy, looked so much like his dad and older brothers, it was only his sister Lilly who had ended up looking like her mother. “Gryffindor.”

“Annalise Malfoy.” The beautiful little blonde smiled prettily and curtsied as she passed the Headmistress. Minerva was so shocked by the sweet girl’s show of manners that she had to look back at the name on the list to make certain she had actually read the name Malfoy. “Ravenclaw.”

Minerva had glanced out to see how many more students were waiting to be sorted and gasped, stepping back slightly. There were three of them, identical with their sharp features, black shoulder length hair and whiskey colored eyes. They looked like a small devil army, smirking at her as they waited for their names to be called.

“Severus Snape the Second.” The first little boy stepped up and waited. “AH! Another Snape after all these years eh? Severus breeds true in his son, but I sense another, a curiosity that borders on obsession….Granger is your mother, I remember her……but Severus bred true….Slytherin!” The hat called.

“Sebastian Snape.” The next dark haired, smirking boy stepped forward. “Another one! No doubt about it…..Slytherin!”

“Silvius Snape.” He glanced at his brothers, then took his place and waited. “Goodness, Severus is making up for lost time…..Slytherin!”

Minerva had watched them in stunned silence as they walked away, the three identical Snape in a row, steps perfectly matched, their robes billowing out behind them. She glanced over at Severus, having resumed his position as potions master, as he stood to the side, arms crossed over his chest as he observed his sons with a smirk.

Those boys were the bane of her existence. Constantly in trouble in one form or another. Highly intelligent, as though they could be anything else, curious to a fault and terribly clever. Severus was a fierce disciplinarian when it came to his classes, but with his own children, he was a pushover. The boys, though they looked just like their father, were nothing like the studious and quiet child Severus had been. They released Cornish Pixies in Longbottom’s greenhouse, flew their brooms through the halls, and were constantly brewing some insane potion or another and slipping it to some poor student.

With a sigh she went to the Great Hall and began sorting the newest students. She winced when she saw the name Snape at the end of her roster. She looked out over the students and did not see any more mini Severus’s. Only two, lovely little girls with perfectly curled dark brown hair, and large obsidian eyes.

“Sabrina Snape.” The little girl hopped onto the stool and waited. “Goodness, the man just keeps breeding, he’s like a Weasley…. Gryffindor!”

“Helena Snape.” The twin stepped up and replaced her sister, “Does he have to breed them in groups! Gryffindor!” Minerva watched the two little beauties as they walked away, stopping long enough to smile prettily at their father, who, to the horror of his students, smiled back at his children. When everyone was seated, Minerva approached Severus.

“Those girls are delightful Severus.”

“You mean compared to the Dark Trio?” He asked with a lift of his brow.

“Oh, you know very well your sons are terrors!”

“Just wait, you’ll soon learn that while my sons are in fact little monsters, they are nothing compared to my hellions yonder.” Severus smiled indulgently, how he loved his wife and kids. “Next year my other son will be attending, Silas. Oh, and Hermione is expecting again, did I tell you?”

“Goodness Severus, let the girl have a rest already.” Minerva walked away, rubbing her temple when she heard a ruckus behind her. No doubt the Dark Trio had begun the year in their normal fashion. She turned and looked at the Slytherin table, but the boys were just sitting there, staring across the room. “The two, angelic little Gryffindors were smiling brightly as they poured pumpkin juice over the head of a young Hufflepuff.” Minerva caught Severus’s eyes, his brow arched as though to say “told you so.”

AN: Thanks for reading, and thanks for the feedback I love it. I now have to go and write a DM/HG though my first love is always SS...but the cute little ferret just wont go away.

OK OK!LOL.....I have to address a couple of issues for those of you who have inquired...

1. Yes, I am more comfortable writing more lighthearted tales. However, have you ever had one of those weeks where only sad songs, sad movies and lots of chocolate were gonna work? That has been my week, hence the angsty drama. Sorry for the lack of smut though, I promise to make it up to you though as the image of Snape the Dom keeps flitting into my mind....wish hed flit into my house...at night.....naked....

2. All those kids LOL....I actually come from a circle of family and friends where big families are the norm, I have the smallest number at 3 while the largest has 10, one of my closest friends has 8. I keep imagining him with a bunch of kids crawling all over him...and liked it....so I decided what the hell, the image of the Dark Trio was too much to resist.....and Ill be honest, My kids are blonde haired blue eyed angelic looking little.....Demons! Thats the reason I wrote them as little monsters who terrorize the school. (My son saw a woman in Target with the word Juicy spelled out on the back of her shorts, he told her her butt wasnt juicy, just big, hes 6)

Darque Heart: You asked about John Gissing...I looked everywhere for it, and could not find it, I even tried online and still got nowhere, so I just asked my friend Jo to see if she could find it for me over there and she had no trouble at all finding it, so shes sending it too me.
