Chapter 11
Harry opened the first one and looked at the signature. It was from professor McGonagall.
Dear Mr. Potter,
You will have your exams tomorrow at 9 am. I know this is very short notice, but once I mentioned who the student was the ministry set it up very quickly. Please be here by 8:30 so we can set everything up. Also if you want, you can be resorted tomorrow also. It would save time. I will have everyone here for your resorting.
Headmistress Minerva McGonagall
The first thing Harry did was run to Sirius and Severus' room and bang on the door. They came to the door together and fully clothed.
"I get to do the retests tomorrow, isn't that great."
"Yes Harry it is. So what time do we have to be at the school?" Sirius asked.
"We have to be there at 8:30, my tests start at 9. Oh yeah and I will be resorted tomorrow too." Harry was nearly bouncing on the spot.
"Well Harry it seems they arranged it very quickly."
"Yeah once the headmistress said who the student was, it was put together very quickly." Harry said with a smirk.
"Well I suppose we should all get a good nights sleep." Severus said.
"Alright goodnight Siri, Sev."
"Night Harry." They said together. Harry went back to his room and looked at the other letter and scowled. It was from Granger. He thought about just casting insendio on it, but his curiosity got the better of him. He opened it and read,
Harry,
I understand if you are still mad at me and throw this straight into the fire. But please don't. I wanted to tell you that I am VERY SORRY for the way I acted before. I wish I could apologize for Ronald as well, but that isn't for me to do. He will have to do it on his own, if he ever does. I really need you to know that it does not matter to me that you are gay or that you were suppose to be in Slytherin. I was shocked. I hope you will forgive me for what happened. Just so you know I am not speaking to Ronald or any of the Weasley's. Except the twins, Bill, and Charlie. Once I told everyone what happened they freaked out. All but the twins, Bill, and Charlie. Did you know that Charlie and Professor Lupin are together. Anyway I hope you can forgive me for what I said and did. Please let me know. Your friend H. Granger
By the time Harry got done reading Hermione's letter he was shocked completely. All but 4 of the Weasley's had turned against him. The more he thought about it the madder he got. Then he just let it all go.
'I don't need them anyway.' Harry thought to himself. He pulled all his writing supplies to him and wrote Hermione back.
Hermione,
I do understand that it was quite a shock to you. You cut me very deeply when you acted that way. Thank you for not trying to apologize for Weasley. I will not be speaking to him anymore. Thank you for telling me about the twins, Bill, and Charlie. I am going to need everyone I can get. I probably won't be in Gryffindor come this fall. If you want to speak to Weasley thats fine with me, I won't hold it against you. I just hope that the rest of the Weasley's will still stand by me. I do forgive you Hermione. Just so it doesn't shock you later, I want to have a relationship with Draco. I just thought I would tell you now. If you want to talk more, you could always come over. If you do just let me know. H. Black
Harry read back over the letter to make sure it sounded alright. He called Hedwig,
"Hey girl, can you take you take this to Hermione?" Hedwig nipped his fingers in response. Harry Decided it was time to go to sleep. He took off his glasses and went to sleep.
****** In Malfoy Manor**********
Draco was sitting in the library reading, before he went to bed. He looked up when his eagle owl flew into the window. He knew it was Harry's reply. He went got the letter and read it. Draco stopped breathing when he read the second sentence.
'Fuck I didn't expect him to figure it out so soon.' Draco kept reading the letter. He finally let out the breath he was holding.
'What did he mean a lot of people might hate him once school starts. How could I ignore him. I have never been able too.' Draco decided not to write back. He would just talk to Harry when he went over to his house.
'Can all this really be happening.' Draco thought. Draco decided it was time to go to sleep.
************ Back at Black Manor***********
Harry woke up 10 minutes before his alarm. It took him a few minutes to figure out why he was excited all the sudden.
'Oh yeah I get to redo my tests and get resorted today. Harry bounced out of his bed and across his room and into the bathroom to take his shower.
Harry was done with his shower within 10 minutes. Harry decided to go downstairs. Once he got to the kitchen, he called Tilly,
"What can Tilly do for master Harry?"
"I would like some breakfast please. Some toast, scrambled eggs, and some fruit please."
"Okay." Tilly popped out and a few minutes later popped back in.
"Is there anything else Tilly can do for you?"
"Yeah are Siri and Sev up yet?"
"Yes they are, they should be down in a little bit."
"Okay, thank you Tilly." Harry sat there eating his breakfast. When he was about half way done, Sirius and Severus walked in.
"Morning Harry." Severus said.
"Morning Siri, morning Sev."
"Harry here is your potion. By the way we are leaving in 20 minutes."
"Okay Sev." Harry downed the potion so he didn't really have to taste it. Then he took a drink of his juice to get rid of the taste in his mouth.
"Okay Harry it's time to go."
"Okay." Harry jumped up and practically ran into the library to floo to Hogwarts.
"Harry slow down. Just because you get there sooner, doesn't mean you can start any sooner." Severus said laughing a little.
"I know that Sev. But I'm just really excited. It's not like anyone else is going to see me so excited. After we go through the floo you won't be able to see it, I swear."
"It's okay Harry." Severus told him. They all stepped through the floo, into the Headmistress' office.
"Morning Harry, Sirius, Severus."
"Good morning Professor McGonagall." Harry replied.
"If you like we can go ahead and do your resorting." McGonagall told them.
"Sure." Harry replied. McGonagall walked over to the floo and called Professors Sprout and Flitwick.
"By the way Sirius I also would like to ask you to be head of Gryffindor. You don't have to but I would really appreciate it."
"I would love to Minerva. To bad you won't be in Gryffindor anymore Harry."
"Like I told you at the house Siri, Gryffindor was never my proper house. It's time to be where I belong." Sprout and Flitwick walked in.
"So who is it that wants to be resorted headmistress?" Professor asked.
"It's Mr. Potter here."
"Actually Headmistress my last name is Black now." Minerva just smiled.
"Okay lets get this show on the road." Sirius said laughing. Minerva pulled the sorting hat down from its shelf and put in on the desk in front of Harry. Harry picked up the hat and put it on. It wasn't as big as the first time he put it on.
'Ah Mr. Potter, are you going to argue about where I want to place you like last time?'
'No I won't, and its not Potter any more I am a Black now. Please place me where ever you choose.'
'Well then Mr. Black, I still say you belong in Slytherin. More so then before. You have been fooling so many for so long. Only a person truly belonging to Salazar Slytherin's house can do that.'
'Thank you. Maybe you could tell the room before someone freaks out about waiting so long.' Harry said smirking.
'Alright place me back on the desk and I will tell everyone. Feel free to come back and chat with me anytime Mr. Black.' Harry took off the hat and put it back on the desk. Everyone starred at the hat waiting for it to make its decision.
"I stand by what I told Mr. Black 5 years ago, he should be in Slytherin house. That is where he will go now."
"Very well, lets get down to the Great Hall so you can start your exams Harry." Minerva told the room as she put the hat away.
"Okay lets go." Harry said. They all walked down to the Great Hall. When they got there the examiner was already there waiting.
"Okay Mr. Potter lets begin. You will have the written portion for all your exams, then you will have an hour for lunch, then your practical exams. Do you have any questions Mr. Potter?"
"No I don't. But my last name isn't Potter anymore. It's Black." Harry said smirking.
"Oh ok Mr. Black. Let's start then."
"Oh I have a question. How long do I get for each exam?"
"You will have an hour and a half for each exam."
"Okay thank you. I'm ready to start." Harry sat at the desk and the examiner put the first test down in front of him.
"Okay Mr. Black you may begin." The first test Harry did was Defence Against the Dark Arts. Harry just looked at it and smirked. Now he knew he was going to get a great score for this one. Harry was finished with all of his written exams in about 4 hours.
"Are you sure have completed them to the best of your ability Mr. Black?"
"Yes I'm sure. Do I get a break before the practical parts?"
"Oh yes Mr. Black you will have an hour for lunch."
"Okay thanks." Harry, Sirius, and Severus walked down to Hogsmead Village for lunch.
"So Harry how do you think you did?" Sirius asked.
"It went really well I think. I'm almost positive my scores will be much better than the last time." When they were finished eating they walked around the village window shopping until it was time for Harry's practical exams. At 10 minutes until time to start, they headed back up to the castle. They went back into the Great Hall.
"Alright Mr. Black time to begin your practical exams."
"Okay lets go ahead what's first?"
"Well we will start with Charms, the go to DADA, then Potions, then Transfiguration, Divination, and finally Astronomy. For the Astronomy part we will transfigure the hall for you to do it."
"Okay lets get started."
Harry did all of his practical exams in about 2 hours.
"Okay Mr. Black you can go anytime you want. You will get your results sometime tomorrow."
"Okay thats fine. Please make sure you send it to Black Manor."
"We have it on record. Not to worry Mr. Black."
"Okay I was just making sure."
"Its perfectly fine."
"Thank you for taking time out of your day to let me retake my tests."
"Your very welcome Mr. Black."
"Okay Harry, you ready to go home then?"
"Yeah. Draco is coming over , and I have to straighten up my room. And before you say anything about the house elves. Every time they come clean I can never find stuff where I put it, because she puts it some place else."
"Okay, okay Harry just relax. Just tell her not to clean your room." Severus told Harry.
"Okay Sev. I will remember that. So what time is Draco coming over?"
"Well Harry we figured he could come over tomorrow morning. Why?" Sirius asked.
"No reason. I was just wondering." Sirius and Severus looked at each other smiling.
"What?" Harry asked.
"Nothing." they both said at the same time.
"Lets go home please." Harry said. They finally made it up to the headmistress' office and went through the floo. Harry came through to the manor first. He had finally figured out how to come through the floo without falling flat on his face. Severus had told him the basic way to do it, but it up to Harry on figuring it out. Severus was the next to come through the floo.
"Very good Harry. I see you figured it out." Just then Sirius came falling out of the fireplace.
"Really Siri, if I can figure out how to come out of the floo without falling, why can't you?" Sirius mumbled
"Yeah but Sev showed you."
"Yeah I did. I tried showing you too, but you were being a stubborn arse." Severus told him. Harry stood there trying not to laugh.
"I'm going upstairs to straighten up my room before Draco comes over tomorrow. What time is he coming over?"
"I figured I would go get him about 9 in the morning. Why?"
"I wanted to know so I know what time I needed to be awake."
"Okay Harry." Severus said smirking. Harry just rolled his eyes and walked upstairs. After Harry went upstairs, Tilly popped in.
"Master Sirius Master Severus, dinner will be done in an hour."
"Okay Tilly. Oh by the way please do not clean Harry's room. Just let him do it."
"But why Master Sirius?"
"Harry doesn't like the way up put his things away. You can go in and make his bed. Don't worry Tilly you can clean any other rooms you want. Can you get the room next to Harry's ready for Draco?"
"Of course Master Sirius. When will Mr. Draco be arriving?"
"He will be here tomorrow at 9."
"Okay Tilly will have it done."
"Thank you Tilly."
Harry was upstairs putting all his stuff away, when Tilly popped in.
"Master Harry dinner will be ready in 45 minutes."
"Okay Tilly. Oh I have a favor to ask. Can you not clean my room any more. You can clean the bathroom and make my bed. But please don't put anything away."
"Of course Master Harry, Tilly will do as you say."
"Thanks Tilly."
"You are very welcome Master Harry."
"Well dinner should be just about done. Lets go downstairs Tilly."
"Okay Master Harry. I will meet you downstairs." Tilly popped out and Harry started walking downstairs. When he walked into the kitchen Sirius and Severus were waiting for him.
"Hey Siri, Sev. You guys ready to eat?"
"Yes we are. We were just waiting on you to start."

Once they were all done eating they went into the library, to relax and read before it was time to go to sleep. Severus was reading a potion journal, Sirius was reading Quidditch Through Out the Ages, and Harry was reading a book on Animagus forms.
" Hey Siri and Sev, how would you feel if I tried to become a animagus?"
"I don't see why you shouldn't Harry." Sirius said.
"Well Harry it takes a lot of practice. You don't know this but I am an animagus."
"Really Sev. What do you turn into?"
"I am a white tiger."
"Awesome. Can you show it to me?"
"Not tonight, maybe after Draco comes over and gets settled in."
"Okay. Well I think I'm gonna head up to bed. See you in the morning."
"Night Harry." Sirius and Severus said at the same time. After Harry left, Sirius turned to Severus.
"So that's why you purr after we have sex. Isn't it?" Severus smirked but didn't answer.
