“Suit up” Steve called to the other Avengers. They all went their separate ways and he turned back to Bruce and Tony who remained behind “We need to make sure that Jarvis doesn’t kill Loki or Thor”

“I don’t have a suit” Said a sweet voice from behind the two men “Is this okay?” They turned to find Luna standing behind them wearing a black dress that, to Steve, was entirely too short and tall black boots. She’d apparently been in Wanda’s closet but the blue-white leather jacket had to be hers and she looked rather good.

“You shouldn’t be going” Steve told her while Tony remained eye-molesting her “Its dangerous…”

“I know” Luna answered “However, you guys are never going to convince Hermione to come with you. She’s lost and…I know how to talk to her, so I go” She walked away without waiting for an answer.

“And you could get hurt…blah, blah, blah…nice talking to you” Steve went on rolling his eyes at her as she walked off.

“I think she may be the only person to ever just tell you what she’s going to do” Tony said as he watched her dress sway around her thighs and breathed out a sigh of relief “She’s a little weird but damn…look at those legs”

“She does have nice legs” Steve agreed “Wanda does to though…”

“And you have a better chance of getting between those” Tony said “Meanwhile, I’m going to go charm my way in to Luna’s panties”

“Pietro likes her, you know” Steve called after him “I think he’s the reason Hermione invited her here”

“Then he should get a move on, shouldn’t he?” Tony shot him a grin and went off to help the blonde with whatever she was doing.

Jarvis walked out of his room fully clothed and the others soon joined Steve where he stood outside, Thor walked over and muttered about being careful and hopefully not hurting anyone. They all joined hands and once Wanda and Luna took each of Thor’s hands they were rushing through the universes and landed hard in a circular room at the end of a long glass bridge with no sides. According to the blonde god the circular room was always guarded so the empty room bothered them all. The walk across the bridge made them feel too open and exposed but they didn’t meet anyone short of villagers. The guards they finally encountered took one look at Thor before they stepped aside, either they didn’t give a shit about Loki or they were expected.

“My dear brother” They heard as they entered the throne room “Finally, you come to save the young damsel in distress…however, you may find that she likes it here better than with you”

“Loki” Thor said “Once again I thought you were dead. It broke my heart and I mourned you, longer than I thought possible and once again you’ve not only returned but you are trying to harm someone I care about”

“I have found someone that I care about” Loki said “Or at least, someone who will help me get and maintain what I truly care about”

“This is wrong, Loki” Thor said “And you know it!”

“Enough talk!” Jarvis snarled “Where is Hermione?!”

“I’m right here” Said a voice from the doorway “Took you long enough”

“Hermione!” Wanda ran over and put her hands on the sides of her face and looked her over “Oh my gods, I was so worried…I thought, I didn’t know and I was worried…I thought maybe…”

“Worried?” Hermione repeated as she pulled away “No, no, no!” She walked over to where the rest were standing, including Jarvis “I don’t know what made you finally come to ‘save’ me, but if you’d been truly worried about me then you’d have been here when I first went missing”

“Hermione” Tony said “We were setting up a plan…then Thor wanted to learn as much as possible about Loki”

“Nice” Hermione said “Well thanks to finally getting around to it, that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside”

“You have to believe us” Wanda said “Please…”

“Maybe” Hermione said, shrugging her shoulders “Maybe I don’t”

“Hermione” Luna said, walking out in to the open and earning a look of approval from Loki “You can believe them or not but I have some Veritiserum in the apartment in New York, come with me now and they will all take it and you can ask them anything you want”

“You don’t understand, Luna” Hermione said “I was just being used. As usual and for once I’m choosing who does the using and who gets what from the knowledge and power that they get”

“I know how you feel” Luna whispered to her “But you can’t let him use you like this. He will be the next Voldemort and with you at his side he could be deadly and you just got rid of Voldemort…why would you wish another one on the wizarding world?”

“Why not?” Hermione asked, shrugging her shoulders coldly “What has the wizarding world done for me. They hardly gave me an education, I had to teach myself, it put me in dangerous situations numerous times, took my loved ones even my bloody parents from me and then after the dark lord is gone they just washed their hands of me” She wiped away a few tears “No therapy, no help, nothing just…goodbye Hermione Granger, we’ll call you when there’s another dark lord!”

“Then leave” Luna said “Stay with Wanda and Pietro. Live with Tony, marry someone…do whatever you like, you earned the right to live but not the right to take away from the wizarding world because you’re angry at it…what about me?”

“What about you?” Hermione challenged and Luna’s face turned a little redder. Her time spent with the enemy during the war had been so horrific that Hermione never pressed her for any information and now she was challenging her for it.

“The war took the only family I had” Luna said “It took my childhood, my wonder, my innocence…”

“You still have your…” Hermione started.

“I spent four months in a dungeon!” Luna screamed, this was a story that no one would have ever assumed of the blonde as she never acted as if she’d ever been hurt before “I was tortured, I was raped and I prayed for death every single day that I was there and yet you don’t see me trying to harm that world” She looked at her friend shaking slightly “It does no good. If you succeed you just take the childhood and innocence of another like you and if you fail then you’re just another wizarding statistic”

“I’ll never be normal” Hermione whispered and they could see her anger shattering before their eyes “I can’t be happy, I can’t have children…I’ll never be normal”

“You never were normal” Luna said “You’re too smart, too caring and you know what. You fell in love with a bloody android, which makes perfect sense considering he’s practically a computer which would be the only thing smart enough to keep up with you and guess what, he can’t have kids either” She put her hand on Hermione’s cheek “You need adventure to live, you need to do the right thing and you need people who need you…you’re living with the right people, doing the right thing and Tony needs you, Steve needs you…Jarvis really needs you”

“Okay” She whispered “Maybe you’re right”

“NO!” Loki was up before she knew it and had his hand clutched tightly around her upper arm painfully “No, you’re staying here, with me”

“I don’t think…” She started and he squeezed her arm again.

“You were so much more fun when my cock was in your hand” He whispered against her “I don’t care if you can have children or not, I’ll figure something out…”

“You need to let me…” She whispered to him. She noticed that Luna backed away from the two, while the other Avengers started to move closer to Loki and where he held Hermione. Only she could hear the subtle sound of a pop that signaled apparition. It was only then that Hermione’s brain caught up to the situation and she realized what was really going on here and instead of being forced to stand by his side she turned to look at him.

“You’re lonely” She said suddenly “That’s why you want me here and why you don’t care if I can have children…you don’t really want me to be your queen, you just want an equal…some company, so you’re not alone”

“Ridiculous” He said, letting go of her suddenly and pushing her away “I’m used to being alone…”

“Which is why it bothers you” Hermione pointed out as she moved closer and put her hand on the side of his neck “Apparently, it’s not only Jarvis who needs help…”

“I don’t…” He started but a yellow light shot out from no-where and sent him flying back, Hermione immediately looked at Wanda but she looked over at Jarvis. The android stood there with his eyes narrowed and the mind stone was still slightly lit and his mouth was tight.

“Vision!” She gasped and saw his facial expression change from jealousy to hurt “I mean…Jarvis, what are you doing?”

“I’m taking you back” He answered “I’m…” He went flying back when Loki shot something at him. Hermione screamed something unintelligible at both men and when Jarvis attacked Loki she stomped away after them.

“What the bloody hell is going on here?” Harry asked as he, Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna rejoined them. Loki and Jarvis were rolling around on the floor, forgoing their magical abilities and were merely punching, kicking and Hermione was pretty sure Loki was attempting to bite Jarvis.

“Bloody hell!” Hermione shouted at them “You’re acting like children!” She turned to look at the others and then laughed “Harry?” She said walking over and hugging her best friends one by one “What are you all doing here?”

“Saving you” Harry said “Though, it looks more like…jealousy than horror” He looked around “What’s going on?”

“Nothing” She answered “Nothing, just…nothing”

The Avengers let the fight continue for a few more minutes before Thor and Steve pulled the two apart. Stark looked from one to the other and back again, he had no clue how to continue. He didn’t, however, think that it would be a good idea to allow Hermione to talk to them as she was the reason they were fighting.

“What are we going to do?” He asked the others.

“Let’s just go” Wanda said “Take Hermione back to New York and leave this thieving filth here in his loneliness”

“I can stay” Thor said “I am his brother”

“I don’t want you to stay!” Loki hissed.

“Leave him here alone” Pietro hissed.

“No” Hermione said and everyone looked at her in shock, everyone, of course, except her wizarding friends who knew her, they looked her with resignation “He is lonely, he doesn’t deserve to be lonely, no one does”

“What do you suggest?” Steve asked while restraining an angry and thrashing Jarvis.

“I don’t know” Hermione whispered “But loneliness is horrible”

“Just go” Loki snapped “You weren’t right for Asguard…who wants a barren queen?” Jarvis zapped him with the mind stone again in her defense.

“Don’t!” Hermione snapped “He’s projecting his anger, it’s how he copes with things…Loki, what would you say to coming home with me?”

“NO!” The answer not only came from Loki but Stark, Steve, Bruce and Jarvis while Thor snorted in laughter.

“Come on” Hermione said, sending a pleading look to Luna for her help.

“Why not” Luna said “Just for a month or so. Just until…Halloween, Thor can stay up here and be king in your absence”

“NO!” Loki snapped “I won’t lose the throne I’ve fought for because you want me to…”

“He won’t take it” Hermione promised sending Thor and ‘I mean it’ look before continuing “He’s iffy about you being king but all the people I’ve spoken to talk about how amazing you are, so let him learn that and then you can be king without fear of losing that title”

“But…” He started and she walked over to him.

“Please, Loki” She said “Don’t make me leave here feeling like I’ve not helped you’ve been so good to me, please let me help you”

“You are not getting my throne” Loki told Thor a little while later after a long conversation filled with arguments “You get to see that I am the best for Asguard and once you know that you’ll leave me to be the rightful king, just like I was promised when we were children”

“I will see…” Thor started but Hermione sent a stinging hex at him “Fine” He glared at her.

“Just until Halloween” Loki confirmed with her.

“Yes” She answered and smiled at him before turning to the others “Tony…”

“He tried to kill me” Stark told her and she nodded.

“I know” She answered “He told me. Please, do this for me”

“Aren’t I enough?” Jarvis asked almost brokenly “I still need you…”

“I know” She answered dismissively “But he needs me too”

“I’m fine with it” Bruce said “Better to have the enemy right under our noses than hidden away, we can learn his weaknesses”

“And he can learn ours” Clint snapped.

“Go to your house” Steve said “That way you won’t be around”

“I’m not…” Clint started but Hermione rolled her eyes and went back to talking with Loki, coaxing him in to coming with her. They all got ready to head out, no one, other than Luna and Hermione liked the situation very much but no one was willing to say anything against it.

“You’ll be briefed on the rules of the apartment when we get there” Tony said coldly “Don’t…even think about trying to harm anyone inside or outside of the apartment”

A/N: I wasn’t actually going to go this route, I had a whole battle scene where Loki died in my head but then I thought…wouldn’t it be fun to watch Loki and Jarvis fighting over Hermione’s attention? That would be loads of fun. Tell me what you think. PLEASE REVIEW!!!!
