Epilogue - And thus, a new era begins…Or so the prophets say.

After the fateful night that Harry and the Slytherins joined the Dark Lord the Wizarding World changed immensely. Fudge was laughed out of office and with Dumbledore dead as well, things began to become the way they were meant to be. Harry became the new Minister of Magic and Severus was made the new Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Voldemort, as promised, didn't make Harry his follower, but his partner; his right hand man. With Lucius gone, as well as Draco, Voldemort was down his supposed most faithful and his number one potential. Even though Severus was very loyal, and actually his favorite aside from Harry, Voldemort was still miffed about losing the Malfoys.

So, life went on and Harry and Sev became his equals. The other Slytherins that were Harry's age were more than happy to serve the Dark Lord but were hoping he would let Harry be their 'master'. Voldemort, highly impressed with the idea, was more than happy to let his young protégé have his own followers and even helped him design a new mark for them so they would be known as Harry's 'minions' as opposed to Voldemort's Death Eaters.

Some of the new changes they made had to do, of course, with muggles and muggleborns students in Hogwarts. It wasn't that Voldemort thought they shouldn't be allowed in, but he was adamant about making them pass a series of rigorous tests beforehand. No one was getting into his world without his approval. Harry, as well as Severus, were both completely for these changes and encouraged them whole heartedly. No one argued with what the new rulers had to say; it just wasn't done.

Before being allowed to enter Hogwarts, or even return, for those who were already attending the school, they had to take age appropriate tests similar to OWLs and NEWTs. Even Dean Thomas, who ended up failing along with half of Hufflepuff, one third of Gryffindor, and a handful of Ravenclaws, had to take it. No Slytherins failed. Though these students, and prospective students, took the test, there were some who never made it to that day.

Hermione Granger, along with Ron Weasley, though his blood made him exempt from the testing, were captured, tortured and killed for wrongs done to Harry, Draco and Severus. Although the blonde was dead, no one forgot him and he was thought of more in death than he was in life. Quite sad, really.

Harry and Severus stayed together for many years after that night, finally marrying the summer after Harry graduated. Harry hadn't felt his continued education was all that important, but Voldemort put his foot down and made him finish; he became like the father Harry never had. They laughed, joked, trained and spent most of their time together, bringing them as close as they could possibly be.

Over the months following Dumbledore's death, the Dark Lord trained Harry to one day, should they not find a potion or some other way for him to cheat death, take his place as ruler. Harry couldn't be happier. Although the prospect of being ruler one day appealed to the young green eyed man, he didn't wish his mentor dead.

Pansy, who had helped him the most during those days at Hogwarts after he found out about his lover's death, became his right hand, like he was to Voldemort. And although Severus was important, he was more than a measly follower; he was Harry's husband, lover and best friend, as well as the resident potions maker.

Of those who were not granted re-entry into the Wizarding World, they were sworn, by law and magic, to never reveal the locations of magical communities or the goings on of magical society. A special charm, designed by Blaise Zabini, with the help of Harry, was implemented by Voldemort to enforce this, causing those who the spell was cast upon to suddenly remember a different topic of conversation they had been wishing to discuss. It was quite ingenious and helped witches and wizards to stay hidden from muggles much better than in previous years. Voldemort couldn't be happier with the results and awarded Blaise, Harry wouldn't take any of the credit, the Order of Merlin, First Class.

Some were shocked but most were grateful for these new changes. No witch or wizard had to live in fear of being discovered by magic hating muggles. New magical communities, larger than others, were formed, causing magical people to no longer have to look for a place away from their own kind.

Every time a new magical birth took place in the muggle world, Voldemort, and those appointed by him, would keep an eye on said magical children and when they came of age they were tested and, should they pass, admitted to Hogwarts. Their parents and close family were put under the harmless spell which prevented them from speaking of the Wizarding World. All in all, the world became a better place.

Against all odds, a cure for death was found, late one night whilst researching, by Severus. He immediately made a batch of the potion and brought it to the Dark Lord who thanked him profusely then drank it. He and Harry were also offered the potion and, after careful consideration, they too took it. No one else, aside from those most loyal, knew of its existence. A few were offered it but none took it; they felt the only ones who deserved it were Harry, Voldemort and Severus.

As more years passed, their followers died and they initiated new ones, but never did they find any as loyal or trustworthy as their first followers. Ten years after the tide changed, and not having aged more than about five years, Severus and Harry had their first child, a son, whom they named Draco in honor or Harry's fallen lover. Another three years later they had a little girl whom they named Lily. Their two children grew up strong and powerful; fit leaders for a world that would one day need them, for the potion only worked as long as you used it. Not unlike the stone Harry had 'saved' in his first year.

Out of everything that happened though, the one thing that stuck out in everyone's minds was how their hero, Harry, had overcome all the shit in his life to become the strong, kind, powerful man they now knew as their ruler. There had been no killings, aside from those deserved, since Harry had joined the Dark Lord. He had, as promised, stopped the mindless killing of muggles, muggleborns and wizards alike in favor of making the young man happy. He let Harry take care of the public within view and offered his advice behind the scenes, never undermining the green eyed man. And I know, after reading everything you've read, you won't believe this, but they really did live happily ever after.
