Getting His Way, II

Another installment today! This is more of Harry's party, a glimpse into what's going on with Narcissa and Severus, and then quite a bit of Lucius taking things to a more charged level with his young ward.

I hope you enjoy it! Love to Tina109, BRM, EnvyButterfly, and Lilith for reviewing so enthusiastically today and inspiring more of the story.

Please review and tell me what you think!

"A wonderful party as always, Lucius," Greengrass said as he tried to pry his daughter away from the door frame. " 'Fraid we have to be going, but splendid time, splendid."

Lucius nodded graciously as he watched the man struggle to leave. He held himself back from rolling his eyes but did raise an eyebrow as young Daphne began to wail that she didn't want to go home yet, she wanted to stay with Harry and Draco and Ron and Pansy and Greg...

"Such a terrible job they've done with that girl," Narcissa murmured in a disapproving voice at his side. "One wonders if they have provided any guidance whatsoever."

"Indeed. I suppose they have a few years yet to civilize her, before Hogwarts."

"Oh, let's not think of that today," Narcissa said in a fretful voice. "Not on a happy day such as this. Why, just imagining having our boys leave us..." She left the sentence unfinished and took his arm.

Lucius felt a pang in his chest as she spoke. But he patted her small hand where it rested on his arm in reassurance. "Nonsense. We have two more years before they go away to school, and then we shall be proud to see them attend."

"You are right," she said with a sigh.

"Ah, but see there," he gestured subtly towards the crowd of children and parents who remained. "Snape looks like he's brooding over some dark fancy or other. Why not go and cheer him up?"

"Yes, of course," she replied, allowing herself to be distracted by the process of entertaining their guest.

Lucius watched as Snape bowed to Narcissa and then offered her his chair.

At his side, a small hand reached up and slipped into Lucius's.

"Hello, Harry," he said with a smile for his ward.

Harry smiled at him and kept his hand as he leaned against Lucius's side. "Thank you for my party," Harry said sweetly.

"Is it over quite yet?" Lucius asked him. Beyond, in the Manor's Great Lawn, Weasley's devilish twins were taking turns holding the smaller children upside-down or holding them and twirling them madly until they fell down in a heap. Around them, Harry and Draco's friends squealed with pleasure and begged for their turns. Some other red-haired son, a bit older and wearing spectacles far less fashionable than the ones Harry sported, sat aside, frowning at a book, while the sister of the Weasley family romped with Pansy Parkinson and a few other girls. Judging from the flowered wreath atop her hair, she -- Ginny, was it? -- had obviously been declared some sort of queen of the day by the others.

At the edges of the children's play, Ron and Draco were gesturing at each other, both of them scowling and seeming to have begun raising their voices, if the livid expressions on their faces were anything to judge by.

"Perhaps it is time for everyone to go home," Lucius mused.

"Oh, don't mind Draco and Ron," Harry confided. One of his hands crept into the opening of Lucius's robes and rested on Lucius's waistcoat. "They're always fighting about something. I think they like it."

Draco at that moment gave Ron a great shove. Ron went to the ground howling, and an older brother hurried over to help out as Draco hovered about, seeming both pleased and distressed at the same time.

"Well, you for one seem done with the day's festivities," Lucius remarked to Harry. "Have you had enough of fun and presents for one day?"

Harry's brow furrowed. "Oh, no. Well, I liked everything very much. It's just a bit much, for a single day. If we could spread it all out over a week's time..."

Lucius laughed and let a hand rest on Harry's head. "Your mind and Narcissa's work much the same way on the matter, though in her case, I think she would like to extend the pleasure of the company of our guests and the allowance for celebration."

"Oh. Speaking of celebrating. Could we --" Harry took one of Lucius's hands in both of his small ones, and tugged him inside.

Lucius spared one last glance for Narcissa and Severus. Severus had fetched her a plate of ice, and was obviously catering to her needs for conversation and whatever else she might wish for, a napkin in one hand should she require it, and a solicitude in his expression that made Narcissa give him a dimpled smile.

With a carefree heart, Lucius followed Harry inside.

*~*

"I wonder what you'd like to speak to me about," Lucius said gravely as they went into the study. Rather than taking his customary chair behind his desk and leaving Harry to stand or sit as he wished, Lucius led them both over to the settee set back in a curtained alcove. Harry was still a boy, yes, but at this age, Lucius felt there were some allowances that he might make.

Harry hopped up beside Lucius and grinned. "I like parties and everyone coming over." He scooted an inch or two closer. "But I like it when I'm alone with you best of all."

"Best of all?" Lucius asked. He kept his mouth from turning up in a smile as he continued, "Even better than being alone with Draco? Or with Ron?"

Harry took his hand again and traced Lucius's knuckles and fingers with great interest. "I like spending time with them," he said in a low voice. "They're my friends." He looked up at Lucius, earnest emotion on his young face. "But you were my first friend, before anyone else. You brought me to the Manor, gave me so many things, gave me a family. I'll always lo -- like you best of all."

"Why, Harry." Lucius leaned down and kissed the top of Harry's head. "I'm flattered that you hold me in such high esteem."

Harry made a small happy noise, then tipped his face up, green eyes half-closed, obviously waiting for what he wished to happen next.

"What's this, then?" Lucius teased him. He wanted nothing more than to begin this, to take what Harry offered. It was, after all, a special occasion, a day for...indulgences.

But how lovely it would be to hear Harry ask for what he wanted.

"Well, after all, it is my birthday," Harry said. He actually fluttered his eyelashes in all seriousness, and Lucius had to hold back from laughing aloud at this untutored attempt at flirtation. "Last year -- I thought maybe --" He took a deep breath, clearly summoning his not inconsiderable boyish courage and said, "I thought...if you would...another birthday kiss?"

"I think I could agree to that," Lucius whispered. "Come here."

Harry moved closer, all large green eyes, pretty rosebud mouth, and warm squirmy boy. Lucius did not wait for Harry to climb into his lap, just reached over to pull him there, and tipped Harry's chin up so he could savor this moment of anticipation.

"Please," Harry breathed.

Lucius said, "Very good," and leaned down.

He did not bother to start with the preliminary fatherly kisses on the cheek or the chaste sort of busses on the lips. Instead he brushed his mouth against Harry's, teasing, building the tension between them with skill.

"Oh," Harry whispered against his lips when Lucius paused. "Oh. More, please."

Lucius pulled Harry closer still and gave the slightest pressure against Harry's childish mouth. Those full lips parted slightly, whether in acquiescence or in surprise, and Lucius deepened the kiss.

This, Lucius could tell, was new to Harry. Of course very young boys would not have thought of all the delightful things that could be done with the proper application of mouth and tongue, but Lucius knew just how to ply all of the possible tantalizing movements and pleasurable tricks. Within moments, Harry was tipping his head back further, fisting his small hands in Lucius's cloak, and making surprised little gasps as Lucius first teased out Harry's slippery sweet tongue to play with his own, and then began shallow thrusts of his tongue into Harry's hot little mouth.

There was a turn of the doorknob, and Harry started, his cheeks burning. But no one entered, and they heard footsteps ambling away.

Harry laughed. "I thought someone would --" Impulsively, he moved to straddle Lucius's lap, and drew Lucius down by his lapels to begin the kiss anew.

"I am able to adjust the wards and illusions throughout the Manor," Lucius said, holding Harry off momentarily. "Whoever was just outside has remembered something else they ought to be doing rather than attempting to interrupt anything in this room."

Harry giggled and urged Lucius forward once more, his small frame rising against and pressing at Lucius's torso. "Then you could do that another time, if we wanted to be alone? We could have ever so many kisses then."

"Harry, is this not a special treat, for your birthday?" Lucius asked gravely. "You had said, 'a birthday kiss.'"

Harry's face fell. "I thought maybe, once I was a bigger boy, you wouldn't -- you'd let me --" His bottom lip quivered.

"There, there, do not cry." Lucius brushed his thumbs against Harry's red cheeks and crooned comfortingly. "Then do you wish to spend more time with me alone, Harry? You are older now, it is true, and as we age, we gain particular...privileges. But it must be a secret of sorts, not a bad one, just a special thing about which only we know."

"A secret," Harry said in excitement. "And that would mean I could visit you more in the evenings, or..." He kissed Lucius, twisting his small hips as he did. "We could kiss and hug, like this?"

"I think we might try it out for a time at least," Lucius drawled.

Harry gave him a tight hug, and then rained kisses on Lucius's forehead and cheeks before returning eagerly to Lucius's mouth.

Another series of kisses, Harry parting his plush lips with eager noises and enthusiastic wriggles, and they parted panting. Harry's eyes were dilated almost completely, and though he was not entirely lined up for the proper thing, the small grindings of his boyish hips had his thigh rubbing against Lucius's hardness.

"Can we -- more --" Harry moaned, nearly incoherent.

Lucius looked down at the luscious boy in his arms. The child simply thrummed with desire. He would be Lucius's for the taking, for anything Lucius wanted.

"No, that is all we will do for this day," Lucius told him. He gave a soft kiss to Harry's mouth, and set the boy on his feet.

"But -- you said!" Harry's expression was wild, and he stepped forward, ready to climb back into Lucius's lap.

"I said that we might do this more often, and of course I have...allowed more, just in this encounter alone. But Harry, there are some things we must come to gradually, by patience and by discovery. You must allow me to be your guide in this."

Harry touched his swollen lips briefly, but then a flash of anger crossed his young face, and he stomped his foot. "But I want to do more now!"

Lucius watched him, observing Harry's first tantrum with a little trepidation. But he must be firm, must the the one in control. If he allowed the child to be the one to direct how things would go, he might as well go completely mad, give up his name and fortune, and ruin himself. No, he was a Malfoy, and an adult, and he would be the one deciding how things would proceed.

And besides, how much more delicious would it be to have all of Harry's favors unfolded to him one by one, each favor taken in a different, breathless moment? He would relish keeping Harry on edge, keep him wanting more.

"Harry," Lucius said in a warning tone, and Harry actually pouted. For a moment, he seemed much like Draco.

Then his face cleared. He still seemed reluctant, but he also had gained more of a sense of calm. "But we can do this again, can't we?"

"Yes." Lucius drew him close for one last moment, but only took both of Harry's hands and kissed each small palm.

"I suppose that's all right then," Harry said, and though he smiled, there was a curious expression in his eyes.

If Lucius didn't know how utterly innocent the boy was still, he might have thought Harry was up to something.
