Draco scooped her up and carried
her to the Hospital Wing in all haste, a grave look on his face. He didn't wish
to admit he was worried about her, but his voice gave him away immediately-if
she was conscious that is. "Madam Pomfrey!!! NOW! OUT HERE NOW,
PLEASE!" He shouted, shoving through the doors to get her onto a cot.
A rag lay on a table nearby, and
it was clean. Picking it up, he pressed it to the cut on her stomach, applying
pressure. Pomfrey came running out of the nurse's room and rushed over.
"Oh dear, you two
again?" She sighed, moving the rag. "Let me get a- OH MY... That
could easily get infected and kill her." Taking her wand out, Pomfrey
started healing. "There will be some scars sadly. Not bad ones, but
certainly small ones that will not be easily removed. It would damage the wound
further."
Guilt was washing over Draco as
he looked at Kaylin. "This is all my fault..." He muttered so the
nurse wouldn't hear. What if Kaylin dies??? He wondered, gasping
slightly. He was fighting back tears as he looked at her bleeding next to him,
and Pomfrey frantically trying to heal her.
Finally the gash on her stomach
disappeared and she gasped, opening her eyes. Draco sighed with relief on the
inside. She's safe... Thank Merlin... I'd be the one in blame if she'd
died...

Kaylin lie on the cot, gasping
for breath and shuddering. The pain had ended, but it seemed as if ghosts of
the pain had lingered.
"I'm going to slap you when
I feel able to... Stronger than you thought I was, am I?" She asked,
sneering as she read his mind. It annoyed her to find the thoughts floating
through her head. Of course it was his fault. She was going to make it a point
to tell him that.
"This is entirely your fault
Malfoy. You damn near fucking killed me!" She hissed at him, grimacing and
looking away. The look of hurt he was giving her made her feel sick. Suddenly,
she cared about his feelings. Why? It wasn't like she wanted to see a permanent
smile on his face. He'd never love her. She could accept that much on her own.
But was that true? Confusion was washing over her like a tidal wave.
"I can't believe you're so
damn stupid. Pick me up and I could have bitten your fucking hand off!"
Kaylin said, now her confusion was turning into annoyance again. Her emotions
were going on rampage and it wasn't very consoling when he retorted back
choppily.
"You'd have bitten me and
I'd have killed you." Draco growled back. Apparently he was feeling
tortured on the subject, but was concealing it in his false cold demeanor.
Kaylin shook her head, smiling menacingly at him. "Oh, you'd have liked
to. Oh you wish. Oh you are a bastard. I would never have bitten you,
stupid."
Oh shit, she'd said it. His face
was registering exactly what she had said to him. "I wouldn't have killed
you if I'd known. Hell I would have slapped you for being in the room, but...
Never kill you." He said back. He never ceased to shock her. He
cared about her. It was obvious now. Hell. What if he loved her and didn't know
it? Shaking her head she closed her eyes pretending to sleep.
"You never cease to disgust
me. It was you fucking fault for being in that room, you know! God, please.
Blame all of this on me? If you weren't a snake at that moment, all you'd have
is a handprint on your cheek for being in there." Draco hissed at her,
stalking out.

He was beyond pissed, and beyond
physical reason. Stalking out of the Hospital Wing, Draco crossed Snape's path,
and got a dark look.
"Who disgusts you Draco? You
may be hard to read now, but not impossible. Who's 'she'?" Snape drawled,
looking amused. It seemed as if he knew something.
"None of your business. Oh,
but I'll tell you anyway because it's not about my mission. Kaylin. Slytherin.
I'm beyond pissed with her. I'm fucking disgusted. She blamed me for her
injury." Draco retorted shortly. His anger was piqued by the arrival of a
Professor that was not only too persistent for his own good, but almost like a
stalker to boot. His face was covered with heated angry colors. "Oh, and
if you must know, I'll be avoiding her. It's her fault."
Snape stalked away, biding his
time. Draco got the feeling that he was going to confront her about it later.
Growling in the back of his throat, he headed to the common room and flopped on
a couch. His head was screaming so many things right now it wasn't funny.
