Chapter Twelve: Opening Up

At the Burrow the next day about nine in the morning, they are sitting around the kitchen table talking about Roxy and what Lupin had said last night. Arthur fired earlier to tell them, that no one else would be coming to the Burrow until it was almost time for school to start back up in another couple of weeks.

"So what do you think Lupin meant when he said she didn't share it all?" asked Ron. "Do you think something happened to her or maybe she accidently hurt or killed somebody?" speculated George. "I don't think she could kill someone, not even accidently. Something happened to her" replied Fred. "How do you know that?" asked Draco a bit of irritation in his voice. "No offense, but I'm her cousin, so I think she would have old me if….." "Draco?" asked Ron concerned by Draco's sudden stop. "Harry, he said Victor should recognize her when she is in wolf form. She never went anywhere near Durmstang though, she was always scared of that place, so there should be no way in hell that Victor should recognize her wolf form. Unless….. No it can't be true" answered Draco, mumbling the last part as he shook his head. "Hey, you know the day Draco came to headquarters" Fred asked George. "Yeah why?" asked George. "Well she started to cry she was so upset, so we tried to comfort her and we went to have her sit down on the bed then we sat down on either side of her, and I didn't think anything of it until now" replied Fred stopping and reflecting on that day to better explain it to everyone else. "What?" asked Draco and Ron. "She tensed, like she expected something to happen. She had fear in her eyes it was real quick but it was there" finished George. "Fear? Are you saying she was scared of you two?" asked Ron in disbelieve. "Yeah" replied Fred. "She was." "I really want to know what happened" said Ron sitting back in his seat to think. "I shouldn't have let her leave by herself" started Draco feeling an overwhelmingly sense of guilt.

"I talked you into letting me go Draco, in fact I pretty much ran away" interrupted Roxy walking in with Neville and Lupin who was carrying a small bowl and a projector. "What are you doing up asked Ron as he stood and offered her his chair. "No thanks, I just need my wand, then I'm going to lay back down" replied Roxy. "Here, what do you need it for" said Fred as he handed her back her wand. "I need it to answer your questions" replied Roxy. "How do you know what we were saying" asked Ron. "The windows are open, and I'm in a room right above the kitchen" replied Roxy as she put her wand to her forehead and pulled back withdrawing a silvery line of memory. "Here, Neville can explain" spoke Roxy as she dropped the memory into the bowl Lupin held, then departed back to her room.

"Lupin?" Ron started to ask. "You will have to watch. Neville will explain since she told him, after which he fired for me and told me what she said. Whatever you do don't say anything to her unless she says something to you, she's really upset right now and scared, honestly I can't believe it but she is. I have to go now, some people need to pay" said Lupin as he turned to leave. "One more thing boys, she's a runner, she loves it. So you need to keep a close eye on her because she isn't supposed to run let alone change for at least a month. Oh and I brought Ginny, to hang out with Roxy, maybe it will make her feel better. Unbelievable, Bye guys" "See ya Lupin" they called towards the retreating figure.

"Neville she talked to you" asked Ron. "Yeah, she was sitting in the window seat and crying when I came in to the room. She tried to cover it up but it was too late. So I handed her a tissue and that's when I heard you guys talking and then she just started talking while she stared out the window at the sky and the woods. At first I didn't understand what she was talking about, and then I realized she was answering your guy's questions. Then next thing I know she touched her hand to my head and it was like watching a movie a horror movie to be honest." Explained Neville as he took a seat at the table facing everyone else. "Is it really that bad?" asked Draco. "Yeah, it is and I'm really angry about what I saw. So angry I think I could beat the bloody hell out of someone" answered Neville. "After this I want you guys to show me how to fight wand less". "Okay we can do that" answered Fred. "Yeah, but show us" said Draco in agreement. "Okay here it goes" said Neville.

*Upstairs*

Ginny knocks and walks in to the room, Roxy is listening to music and flicking her wand. "Hey Roxy" said Ginny shutting the door behind her. "Hey" replied Roxy. "Whatcha doing?" asked Ginny. "Replaying memories of this past summer. Do you want to see?" said Roxy. "Sure" said Ginny coming to sit by Roxy. "Let's start at the beginning when I first arrived at Grimmauld Place" said Roxy pointing her wand at the ceiling, her memory playing through it. "Roxy, I think Hermione was wrong about you" replied Ginny. "Thanks" said Roxy.

*In the Kitchen*

"Neville you saw Roxy cry?" asked Draco in disbelieve and shock at what he was seeing. "Yeah, why?" replied Neville. "She's never let anyone else see her cry. Except me really" answered Draco. "Do you think she trust any of us?" asked Ron looking around the table trying in vain to erase the images he was seeing. "That's a good question Ron" replied Neville. "Neville, do her memories get any worse than this, because I can't stand to watch this anymore" asked Draco with a look of disgust on his face. "Not really, but I could just tell you if that would make it easier" replied Neville blushing as he realized what he said. "Don't know how you could make this any easier" replied Ron a bit sarcastically. "It's alright Neville, just go ahead and tell us now" said Draco.

"Okay well after the whole Dark Mark thing, she ran away as you already know Draco. She ran in anger and wasn't paying attention to where she was going, by the time she realized she was in Durmstrang territory….. "Hold on" said Draco. "Let me explain something real quick. Roxy is a rarity in the Magical World, she has a wolf gene that allows her to change, so she was born with it, it's not something that was transferred through bite like she did with us. She is the first witch to ever be born with this gene outside of Durmstrang where they have a small pack. But only guys have been born with this gene there so they sort of need her if they want more witches who are born with this gene" finished Draco. "That's right, she told me that also" agreed Neville before going back into his story of what Roxy had told him.

"When she noticed that she was in Durmstrang she changed so that she wouldn't be as noticeable, she turned around to head back, but she's not as fast in human form." "So she was caught, I assume" interrupted Fred. "Yes" replied Neville regrettably. "How many scars does she have from them?" asked Ron. "A few, she has one on her knee, her elbow, upper arm, ankle but the worst one may be the one on her mind. She also received other injuries such as a sprained wrist, twisted ankle, twisted knee, dislocated shoulder, various bruises, scrapes and cuts. But on the bright side of this, if there is one, she was never you know….." finished Neville motioning with his hands the last part.

As the fire glowed and a voice calling hello. "Hello" said Ron going to the fireplace. "Ron it is dad, there's a problem" said Mr. Weasley his voice projecting from the fireplace. "The Durmstrang students have escaped from the ministry about two hours ago and we just found out". "Do you think their coming here?" asked Ron. "Most likely. Hold on Lupin's back". A pause filled with a whispered conversation. "Ron. Lupin and Tonks just tried to get to you kids, but the Durmstrang students have already gotten there and broke through our spells and put up their own. It's up to you guys, we will keep trying to break through but we might be too late" said Arthur. "Be careful, and Roxy still shouldn't use her arm. Good bye" called Lupin before the fire went out. "Shit" said Ron. Just then the sound of breaking glass and a scream came from upstairs, sending the guys flying out of their seats and running upstairs to Roxy's room.

*Upstairs*

"Ginny, what did you d…." started Roxy turning around and stopping midsentence as she took in what she saw. Her eyes widening with a mixture of fear and disbelieve. "Thought you could hide did you?" asked Victor sitting on one side of Ginny, with Keifer on her other side lightly stroking her hair. The other five stood around the room preventing any sort of escape. Then came the sound of people running upstairs and within seconds there was shouting and banging from the other side of the door. "Roxy!" yelled Ron. "Tell them your fine, you just knocked down a picture frame" ordered Victor. "Okay" said Roxy repeating what he told her as she secretly changed into her wolf mind, trying to get through to Draco. "Roxy?" asked Draco through her mind. "They're here, they have Ginny, give me a minute o think, I'm getting us out of this" replied Roxy. "Hey, you know what Roxellda, I'll leave you here and won't bother you and I'll take this little girl here instead" said Victor. "No" said Roxy taking a step towards him. "Don't care what you say" called Victor as he sent her flying against the wall, immobilizing her until they got out the window. "No!" yelled Roxy running to the window and watching them disappear. "Roxy! Ginny!" yelled Ron as the guys busted down the door. "I'm so sorry, they took Ginny" said Roxy as she slumped a bit.
