Chapter 12

Harry stayed behind to glare at Draco more, but soon followed the Weasleys through the floo to their home. Severus sighed as he watched the boy leave, looking back at his sister. He knew that Harry still had issues with Draco and Nicole being together, but it was something that he would have to work through on his own. He turned to watch Nicole and Draco staring at each other, neither knowing what to say first. “Oh, for crying out loud, just go up to your room and talk, have sex, whatever works for you two. You need to figure out what you are going to do. I have already made an appointment with a Healer for you for tomorrow. Just stop staring at each other like that, it makes me nervous,” he snapped and stepped into the fireplace to give them some privacy. Not really sure where he was going, he called out the first thing that came to mind, a place that he hadn’t been in years.

Draco stood, offering his hand to Nicole to help her stand. She took it and he led her up the stairs to her room. Sitting down on the bed, he let go of her hand, to place his in the hair at the base of her neck. Tangling his fingers in her dark red curls, he pulled her towards him and kissed her tenderly. Nicole sighed against his lips, opening her mouth to allow his tongue entry. After several moments, he pulled back, “We’re going to have a baby,” Draco said with awe in his voice.

Nicole’s eyes widened as she nodded, “We knew it was a possibility, but now it’s a reality. What are we going to do?”

“Marry me,” was all he said. Nicole’s eyes widened even more at his statement. “I’m serious, marry me. I can’t see my life without you in it, and now you are giving me a child. Let’s make the bond official. Marry me.” Draco insisted, falling to his knees on the floor in front of her. “I don’t have a ring right now, but we can go and buy you whatever you want. Just don’t leave me.”

Nicole traced his jawbone with two fingers, “Oh, Draco. We are still so young. Do you really think this would be a good idea?”

Draco took her hands in his, “Nicole, we are already bonded, remember. Getting married in front of everyone only makes it official on paper. Technically, we are already married. Now, there is a child involved. I won’t allow a child of mine to grow up without a father in their life. I want to be with my child and I want to be with you more than anything else in my life. I can’t stand not being with you. I almost stepped in front of a spell during the battle, just to end my life because I thought you would send me away once you didn’t need me to keep the curse at bay anymore. I didn’t want to live in this world without you by my side. I couldn’t stand to think about it. Now that I know that you love me and don’t want me to leave, then I want to do everything I can to keep you by my side. Marrying you is just the first step. I want the world to know that I am yours forever.”

Nicole smiled, “Draco, I love you. I won’t ever leave you, I promise that. I want to raise our child together. I want to have more children with you. I want to spend my life with you. But is now the right time? We have all the time in the world; do we have to rush into this?”

Draco smiled, “Yes, I do think we should do this now. I want to show the world how much I love you. My parents aren’t going to be happy about us, but they will get over it.” Still looking up at her, his smile widened. He had a feeling that she was going to give in and give him what he wanted more than anything in the world. “I want you, Nicole. All of you; your heart, your soul, everything. Marry me and make me the happiest man in the world.”

Nicole sighed, “Yes, Draco, I will marry you. You are the only one I’ve ever wanted to marry,” she agreed.

Draco let out a loud ‘whoop!’ and jumped up, bringing her to him in a bear hug. He swung her around, laughing. Setting her down, he lowered his face to hers, “I love you, Nicole. More than anything in this world,” he said and captured her lips in a sweet, tender kiss. “If it’s all the same to you, let’s not have sex tonight. I figure you could go a day without it.”

Nicole laughed, “I was going to suggest the same thing. I know you’re tired of having to have sex with me every single day. How about we just hold each other as we sleep? I’m exhausted. Having a curse wrung out of your body is no picnic.” She smiled and shifted over in the bed to lie down under the covers. Before she realized what was going on, she felt hands on her. Looking up, she saw Draco kneeling over her, removing her clothes. Confused, she watched him.

He saw her staring at him, “Oh, I just want to feel your skin next to mine. Although, I will never tire of making love to you, we both need some rest.” He had removed his own clothing and crawled into bed beside her, drawing her as close to himself as he could get her. Sighing contentedly, he closed his eyes and soon his breathing was deep and even. Nicole smiled and closed her own eyes in sleep.

Severus arrived at the one place he never thought he would set foot in again after all these years. She was waiting for him, just like she told him she would be. Standing, she stood and opened her arms for him. He sighed and rushed into her waiting embrace and a sob escaped him. “You’re still here,” he whispered in disbelief.

“I told you that I would always be here for you,” she answered. Standing there embracing each other, Severus realized what a fool he had been. This was the woman he was meant to be with. She could have helped him raise Nicole, why did he have to be such a stubborn git?

“I’m so sorry. I never should have left you. I am such a fool,” he said, looking up at the woman he loved.

She placed a finger on his lips to quiet him, “Shh… It’s okay, I understand completely. She was your first love; you couldn’t just leave the child in the hands of others. You’re here now, which can only mean that the child is ready to start her own life and family.”

He stared at her and just nodded. She leaned forward and placed her lips on his, causing a sigh to escape them both. They needed each other more than they realized. Severus ran his hands up her back and into her hair, clutching handfuls of the luscious curls. He really did love this woman. Taking a step, he began leading her to the bedroom, hoping it was still in the same place as before. He was rewarded with a growl from her as she felt her legs hit the side of the bed. They tumbled onto the bed in a tangle of robes. Severus muttered a spell and vanished their clothing. His hands were never still as they roamed over her body, pulling and tugging at her nipples, eliciting gasps from her. He replaced his fingers on her breasts with his mouth, sucking and nipping at them, making her squirm underneath him. His hands ventured down to the apex of her thighs and began working their way through the curls there. He found the sensitive spot and teased it for a moment, loving the way she gasped and writhed under his hands. He knew that she was close to orgasm and he loved that he could do that for her. He heard a sigh beside him and looked over at Emily. “She’s beautiful,” she whispered, her lips close to his ear, causing a shiver to run down his spine. He nodded and quietly closed the door, letting the two young ones sleep.

“She’s pregnant. The curse didn’t allow them to use any contraception at all, so they knew that it was a possibility. That doesn’t mean that it didn’t come as a shock to them when I told them last night. I just hope that they’ve talked everything out and are ready to make the bond official,” Severus explained to her. Taking her hand, he led her to his bedroom.
