Chapter 12: Ambushed
"Harry come quick!" Cho Chang shouted from the hallway in the safe house Harry and his friends were staying. He rushed from the kitchen to where Cho's voice was coming from. Ron was following close behind. He heard an anguished cry and could only be Molly Weasley. That's when he knew, he knew something must have happened. He pushed his way through the crowd that was gathering around something in the center of the den.
His heart sank when he came up to a the lifeless body of Ginny Weasley. He dropped to his knees and touched her cold hand. Anger, and sadness started to hit him all at once; he wasn't sure what to say or do. The sounds of Molly's cries filled the safe house. It wasn't until Ron finally managed to get through the crowd and sink to his knees next to his best friend. Harry took that moment to stand up and walk away.
He didn't say a word to anyone. It was as if everything was in slow motion when he walked away from his best friend's sister. A little sister he considered a dear friend. Just days ago she said she had intel about the two brothers that have been attacking their camps. He told her to wait it out and to not go. He told her not to go. But she went anyway.
He found himself in the kitchen. He sat down at the table speechless, he didn't know what to do at this point. He was so lost in his thoughts he didn't see Sirius and Remus enter the kitchen with a note. They sat down at the table across from each other and looked at Harry with sadness in their eyes.
Remus touched Harry's shoulder and brought him out of his thoughts, "Harry there was a note," he said softly and gave it to him. Harry took the note and read the words.
Potter,
This is just a start of what's to come. We have more at our disposal. Surrender, or something much worse will come your way!
The Brothers.
P.S.
The one you thought you loved executed the young Weasley. Surrender Potter!
"The one I thought I loved?" He asked looking at Sirius and Remus. The two older gentlemen looked at each other, then back at Harry.
"We might have an idea who it is," Sirius said just as Ron came bursting into the kitchen.
"Who the bloody hell did this?! I'll kill them myself!" He said snatching up the note that was in Harry's hands. He read the same words and looked at the three of them with a confused look, "Thought you loved?" Ron also questioned and sat down next to Sirius.
"Now we don't want to both of you to loose your heads for what we are about to tell you," Remus said looking at the two younger men in front of him.
"Just tell me Lupin!" Harry almost shouted. He couldn't wait any longer, he needed to know who killed Ginny.
Sirius and Remus looked at each other and they each let out a sigh. Sirius nodded and Remus nodded back.
"We have a feeling it might be Hermione," Sirius said, and before Remus could say anything, Harry and Ron stood up shouting at the two men. Molly and Arthur came rushing in followed by a few more people.
"What's with all the shouting?" Arthur asked. Ron handed his father the note. Molly reading it as well. They both looked up confused. Sirius told him they believe it was Hermione. Again the kitchen filled with outburst.
After a few more minutes of everyone shouting Remus finally calmed every one down. He looked around the kitchen at every one and took a deep breath. He didn't know how he was going to tell them how he suspected Hermione.
"If you just let me explain, please?" He asked and waited for anyone to object. When no one did he took in a deep breath gathering his thoughts. He was about to explain when some one walked in with their cloak drenched from the rain outside.
Everyone stood in silence waiting for the figure to reveal themselves. What seemed like an eternity, they removed their hood and everyone let a breath they didn't know they were holding.
*********************************************************************************
The rain was pouring down as Andrew watched Hermione enter the safe house where Potter and his followers were stationed. He could feel his brother's restlessness next to him.
"Would you calm down?!" He whispered harshly.
"How do you know she won't betray us?! How do you know she just didn't kill that Weasley girl to gain our trusts?!" Jonathan whispered back just as harshly. Andrew's crimson eyes met Jonathan's now violet eyes.
"Snape is the one who told her to get into contact with me. We've been corresponding for almost a long time. I told her everything yet she's still here! Now let's wait and see, what happens. Potter is in our grasp! All we have to is wait it out and we strike tonight!" Jonathan looked at Andrew wanting to say something else but kept his mouth shut. He turned his gaze back to the house and waited.
Andrew looked at Willow and Snape and nodded. Willow closed her eyes and Snape was opening a vial of a smoky black substance. A cloud was forming in front of the house. Andrew, Jonathan, and their followers were watching the cloud form into a window. Within moments they were able to see and hear what was happening inside the safe house.
"Remember the signal," he whispered to Jonathan and he just nodded. All the feelings he had about this mission were gone. Soon they would have Potter it was just a matter of time. All they had to do was wait for Hermione to send them the signal and they would sneak in and take the safe house. It would be all over soon.
***************************************************************************
"Hermione?!" Harry said walking up to her and catching as she seemed to be weak. Ron rushed over to her and they both helped to a chair by the kitchen table. Molly came over and took off her drenched cloak and whispered a warming charm.
Hermione felt the warmth and gave a small smile to Molly. Arthur was putting a kettle for tea. Everyone was shocked to see her there even Remus and Sirius.
"Hermione what happened?" Harry said taking her hand in hers. Hermione looked into Harry's green eyes and she thought she would feel something but she didn't. She needed to keep her act up for another few minutes.
Arthur put a cup of tea in front of her, and she let go of Harry's hand and wrapped her cold hands around the cup, welcoming the warmth. She brought the cup to her lips and took a small sip of the warm liquid. She closed her eyes as she felt the warm tea hit the back of her throat. She opened up her eyes and everyone was watching her expecting her to say something.
"Hermione?" Harry's voice was soft and full of concern. She looked at him again, then back at everyone else. She took in a breath and let it out slowly.
"It was horrible!" She started to say. She was remembering the words she had rehearsed over and over again for the last week.
"I found their castle. It's off the coast of Ireland. I thought I was safe where I was. I had all the right charms, the right protections, but they found me," she took another sip and tried to make her voice sound shaky. Harry put his hand on her back for comfort. It took all of her not to cringe at his touch.
"They took me to their castle and there I met, Lord Dragonus. He's teamed up with Voldemort and the Death Eaters. They told me I had a choice," at this point she silently started to let the tears fall. Everyone looking at her with concern in their eyes.
"I either had to join them or die," she choked back a sob, "I told them I would die than join them," Ron took her hand in his at this point. Hermione again tried to fight the urge to cringe.
"What happened?" Ron asked softly. Molly handed her a tissue and Hermione again gave her a small smile. She dabbed her eyes, and then used it to wipe her nose.
"They brought me to the dungeons, I saw Ginny," her voice lowered.
Molly grabbed on the Arthur for a dear life, "She told me that if I make it out of this, to tell her family that she loves you and that she went down fighting," she lied to all of them. But they had no idea. Molly came over to Hermione and gave her a hug, "Oh dear girl, what you both went through." Hermione returned the hug again feeling nothing.
"I saw Charlie, Percy and Fred, they have them too," she told Molly as they let go of each other.
"What happened next?" Sirius asked sitting down in the vacant chair next to Harry.
Hermione shook her head, "Next thing I knew we were being escorted out of the dungeon. We were brought to the Great Hall and there was a celebration of some sort," Hermione's let the tears fall even more.
****************************************************
Andrew and Jonathan were watching what was happening outside. The rain wasn't letting up anytime soon.
"She's a great actress," Jonathan whispered to himself. Hoping Andrew didn't hear. But he did and he couldn't help but smile at what his brother just said.
"It's almost time, send the warning signal," Andrew said, and Jonathan nodded. He put his hand in the air and set off a set of green sparks.
Andrew could hear voices from yards away, they were getting into their positions. All Hermione had to do was keep up the act for a few more moments and they would attack.
**************************************************************
Hermione slowly started to stand up, and she knew where to look. She knew she was making eye contact with Andrew, and she could feel him smiling. She tried really hard to hide her smile as she continued to talk about her "capture."
Andrew and Jonathan started to make their way up to the front door. While Death Eaters were taking out the wizards and witches were keeping watch on the safe house. The others were taking down any wards and protections that were around the house.
"Hermione?" Harry asked standing up with her, "I was put in this beautiful gown for the party. I was standing next to Andrew proud to be at his side."
Ron started to back up from his best friend and looked at Harry with a concerned look. Harry was too concerned with what Hermione had to say, that he didn't see everyone reaching for their wands.
"What do you mean proud to be by his side?" Harry asked.
"Oh, Harry you've been so oblivious these past two years, that you didn't notice the small detail about the note that was sent with Ginny's body," she said looking at him with a smirk.
Harry looked closer at the note, "What are you talking about? How do you know about Ginny?"
"I took my wand and I pointed it at Ginny and I said the words that ended her life," She said still looking at him smirking.
"You're under the Imperius Curse!" He said backing away pulling out his wand.
Before anyone could do anything there was a loud explosion. Everything was covered in smoke no one could see anything.
Red, green, yellow, white, and blue beams were being fired in every direction. Andrew went straight for Hermione and once they found each other they smiled. They would celebrate later, but right now they had a fight to win.
Harry was watching his friends fall left and right. He couldn't tell how many there were, He just knew he had to fight. He couldn't see where the enemy was. He was blindly casting every defensive spell he could think of.
The next thing he knew everything went black.
*******************************************************************************************
"Wake up Potter!" Andrew said kicking Harry in the stomach. He let out a groan as the wind was knocked out of him. Andrew nodded and two men picked up Harry and brought him too his knees.
Andrew bent down to his level, "So this is the mighty Harry Potter I should be scared of," he said with a sneer. Some one placed Ron right next to him, "And this," Andrew said as he punched Ron, "Potter's sidekick, the redhead that follows you around like a little puppy would his human," Andrew stood up and looked at all the people they captured that night.
Hermione came walking into the what was left of the kitchen. She walked up to Andrew and he smiled when she entered the room.
"You were amazing," he whispered against her neck. She let out a little moan. Every one watched in awe as the two were in an intimate embrace.
"Must you do that here?!" Jonathan asked as he came stumbling through the door.
Andrew and Hermione broke apart but still kept close, "Sorry, but look at the toys you have to play with when we get back home," he said with a smile.
Jonathan looked at Harry and Ron, "Oh I can't wait!" He said as he took his ring and ran it across Harry's cheek. Harry tired to jerk his head away, but Jonathan used his other hand to keep his head still. "Oooo we got ourselves a fighter," he said with a smirk. He stood up and nodded, one by one each of them were taken away and were going to be port keyed to their castle.
"Take what you can," Andrew said holding out his hand, "Give nothing back," Jonathan answered back taking his brother's hand in his.
"Find what you can, I want maps, plans, safe house locations, lists of names. Search this place inside and out. I want everything they had. Also their wands bring them with you." Andrew told his followers.
"Come brother, Father would want a progress report. Also we need a clean up crew. I want to make sure that this place looks untouched," Jonathan instructed. Andrew held Hermione close as the three of them disappeared in the blink of an eye.
****************************************************************************************************
"SILENCE!" Jonathan yelled as he walked down to the dungeons. He could hear they prisoners yelling through the castle. He had enough, and he decided to take a walk through and find his next play toy. It wasn't long until he was joined by Angelus.
"Who are you going to play with?" The vampire asked as he came up to Jonathan.
"I'm not sure, who are you going to play with?" He asked crossing his arms.
Angelus crossed his too as he started to walk down the cells stopping at each one. He came to stop at one and smiled, "I haven't had a redhead yet," he said with a smile and he looked at Jonathan, "Who do you recommend?" The wizard walked over to the vampire and smirked, and pointed. Angelus nodded to guard and he unlocked the cell as the other one hurried in and grabbed Angelus's new victim.
The guard pushed Ron out and Angelus grabbed him before he hit the floor. Ron watched as the vampire's face changed and he tried to not scream in horror.
"Remember we can't kill them. They're needed for something big in the next few weeks," Jonathan reminded the vampire, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Now for you, who are you going to play with? You can take one of mine if you want," he said pointing at one of the cells.
Jonathan looked into the cell and smiled, "I haven't done a muggle yet," he said with a smirk, "Bring me that one," he pointed and just like the other cell, one guard unlocked it and the other hurried in and grabbed Jonathan's next victim.
Jonathan let Xander hit the ground, "Oh you're a beauty," he said as he picked up Xander, and started to guide him further into the dungeon followed by Angelus and Ron.
Tonight was going to be fun. The vampire and the wizard were thinking at the same time.
*************************************************************************
Andrew was in the study with Draco Malfoy looking over the maps that was found at the safe house where Potter was staying. They had it all marked out in blue, those markings were more safe houses and camps that Potter had established.
"That's more than I expected," Andrew said looking at the map with his arms crossed.
"That's just the Europe," Draco said as he walked over to another table. With a confused look Andrew followed him and they stood over another map with blue markings on it as well, only not as much.
"This is North and South America. Then over here," he walked over to another map, "This is Asia, and most of the Middle East and, then Africa."
Andrew rubbed his face, "There's more than I thought all over the world. We need this potion to work if we're going to take the world for ourselves. We don't have the power for this. The prisoners need to come to our side or die, there's no in between."
"Jonathan, and Angelus have their ways. I've already marked at least ten of them because they would rather live than die," Draco pointed out walking back over to the map of Europe. Andrew stood with his hands on his hips and looked around at all the maps. His Father put him in charge of finding all the safe houses and camps. He also put him in charge of coordinating the raids.
Andrew looked around and sighed, "Draco, I really don't know how we're going to do this. I don't know how many people we have all over the world. The only way to do that is go to each of these places and find out if we have a following."
"Sir if I may," Draco said as he walked over to a wall and pulled down a world map. There were red markings all over the world. Andrew's jaw dropped as he saw the markings.
"Now if we add all of Potter's safe houses and camps," he said as he waved his wand and the blue markings showed up.
"Now if we do this in real time," again with another wave of his wand the blue markings started to slowly disappear. Andrew looked at Draco dumbfounded, "How?"
"Word spread that you were back sir. Once word got around that Lord Dragonus son has returned our numbers grew. All the information we gathered, we sent out and our bases went to work right away," Draco explained.
"Draco, I do believe a promotion is in your future," Andrew said with a smile and put his arm around his friend.
"Can you send a raid to this camp tonight? It's too close for comfort." He asked pointing at a blue marking.
"I'll gather some men sir," Draco said and then bowed and left the study. Andrew continued to look at the world map and smiled. He couldn't believe so many people were following their cause. He couldn't wait to show his Father and brother. Draco definitely deserved more recognition for this.
He took one more look around the study and let out a sigh. He waved his hand and all the maps disappeared. He walked out of the study in search of Hermione to make sure she was okay after what happened three days ago.
He didn't know why he was concerned for her well being. This never happened before. He stopped in the hallway and then turned around. He needed to talk to his Father about what he was feeling. He never felt this and he didn't know why it was happening to him. He needed a wiser counsel and the first person was of course his Father.
It didn't take him long to find him. He was with Voldemort again, like always. They were walking down the hallway discussing plans again, like always. He didn't wait to get closer, "Father," he called. Rob and Voldemort turned around, "Andrew what is it?" Rob asked as his son kept walking up to them.
"I need your counsel on Hermione," he said without any hesitation.
"Tom, I will see you at dinner," Rob said to Voldemort who bowed slightly and walked away.
"Come walk with me and tell me your troubles," Rob put his hand on his son's shoulder and they began to walk down the hallway towards the gardens.
*****************************************************************************************
"So you and Andrew," Willow said with a small smile looking at Hermione, while she was putting some ingredients in the cauldron. Snape looked up from his book and started to watch the exchange between the two women.
Hermione tried to hide her blush, "Me and Andrew," she said also trying to hide her smile.
"You were the one he was writing to this whole time?"
Hermione nodded as she grabbed a ladle and started to stir the ingredients in the cauldron. Willow shook her head with a smile.
"You know when he received your first letter, he didn't know how to respond. I told him to let his heart do the talking," the redheaded witch said with a smile passing the brunette another vial to put into the cauldron. Hermione smiled, "He really did," she said softly.
"So have you two, yah know?" She asked with a small nudge at Hermione, and she just looked at her with a confused look, "Know what?" Willow made a gesture with her hands and Hermione turned bright red. "Oh my GOD! You haven't! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean..I'm so sorry," Willow said with wide eyes and a sincere voice. Hermione smiled at her, "It's okay! I'm sorry if I looked horrified! We just never really reached that level. He's so focused on his role that I sometimes think he forgets about me." She said softly.
"Now Miss Granger, I can tell you that what you just said is untrue," A voice from the doorway said. They all turned around and there stood Andrew with a small white rose. Hermione looked at him in shock. She took a step towards him just as he walked into the classroom. Snape gently grabbed Willow's hand and they both left the classroom.
"I saw this in the garden and thought of you," he said giving her the rose. She gently took it and their hands brushed. Again they both felt electricity like they always did. She brought the rose up to her nose and took a small whiff, "Thank you it's beautiful," she whispered looking back up into his eyes.
He reached out his hand for her to take, "I wanna show you something. Will you come with me?" He asked. She took his hand and nodded. He led her out of the classroom and down the hallway. They didn't say anything as they walked down the hall. She noticed that today he was wearing a grey tank top along with black and white basketball shorts. Also again no shoes.
"Why don't you wear any socks or shoes? Doesn't the cold bother your feet?" She finally asked. He couldn't help but chuckle at her question, "I don't mean to laugh, but I never thought I would have that question asked. Everyone just assumed it's because I'm use to the cold and I don't mind it." They turned down the hall and then through a set of doors that led to another hallway.
"To be honest, I started to do this when I was six years old. I like how the stone feels against the bottom of my feet. It's nice, cool, and smooth. I haven't slept in my own bed for the last twelve years. There's something about the stone that comforts me. I don't know what it is but it's soothing." He never told anyone that before. She was the first and he was actually surprised that he could open up to her so easily.
"What if I ever wanted to sleep in your room, or you in mine? Would you sleep in the bed with me?" Hermione asked tentatively. They stopped at another set of doors and he took her other hand in his and really looked at her. For the first time he could actually admit that she was beautiful. He knew she was from the first time he saw her. But this time he really knew she was. This again was all new to him. He needed time to figure things out, but he knew with her, it would be easy.
"Give me time. What I'm feeling is all new to me. I grew up learning how to fight, how to lead, how to kill, how to be cold, how to show no emotion. Then, I saw you and everything changed," he put her hand on his chest and she could feel his heartbeat and how fast it was beating.
"You feel that?" He asked and she just nodded her head looking at her hand on his chest, "My heart does that when I'm with you or when I'm near you. I don't know why. Just the sound of your voice brings a calm I don't understand." He took his other hand and touched her cheek, "You're doing something to me and I don't know what to do. But what I do know is that whatever I'm feeling, I don't want it to go away. You make me feel and think things I never thought I would or even could. Just give me time, please?" He asked her looking into her chocolate brown eyes.
She looked up at him and in his eyes she could see how much she truly meant to him. She didn't know what to do at that moment. All she knew was that she wanted him close. She did the only thing she knew. She pressed her lips to his.
Andrew couldn't think, he just wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her closer to him. He needed her, he wanted her, in every way possible. But he also didn't want to scare her away. He couldn't get enough of her. He needed her near him always. It always killed him a little when she wasn't close by. Before going to sleep he had to at least see her. Even if it was just from afar.
After talking with his Father, he knew exactly what to do. But he had to make sure he had her trust first. But right now all that mattered was this woman in his arms. He was seeing fireworks, he was feeling electricity going through his body. His heart was pounding faster than it was before.
He needed to feel her against him. He picked her up and she wrapped her legs around his waist. He felt a tightness in his shorts and he prayed that she didn't feel it. She let out a moan, and that's when he knew he had to stop. "Hermione," he said breathless, kissing her neck.
"This isn't the place for this," he said in a whisper.
She nodded as she felt his tongue against her neck, "You're right, we need to stop," she said pulling his hair. They continued to feel each for a few more moments and he finally let her down. She used the wall and Andrew to help her stand up. He kept his arms around her for a few moments.
The only sound that was heard, was the the two of them catching their breath. He rested his head against hers, "What are you doing to me?" Hermione closed her eyes calming herself down.
"I could ask you the same question," she said as she slowly started to breath normally. They broke apart but he still kept his hand in hers.
"What I want to show you is through this door," he said and they walked back to the front of the doors.
"I know you're far from home and I wanted you to have a place to yourself," he explained and he opened the doors. Hermione walked in and couldn't believe what she saw.
It was a greenhouse with every flower she could name. From roses, to daisies, to lilacs, to lilies. The smell was so refreshing and she saw that there was a spiral staircase. She looked at Andrew and he nodded. She let go of his hand and hurried to climb the spiral stair case.
Once she was at the top she saw a desk, and a two bookshelves. There was also a small twin sized bed. Andrew climbed the stairs and watched her as she looked at the books, "I figured you could use your own personal study, with some flowers. Also Severus told me that you like to study late. So if you're ever tired to go to your room, you could just crash here."
She didn't know what to say. She looked at the man standing at the top of the stairs with a genuine smile on his face. She rushed up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. He laughed and picked her and they spun around a few times.
"I take it you like it?" he asked as he put her down. She touched his cheek and smiled, "Andrew I love it," she said and for the second time that day she let her lips meet his.
********************************************************************************************
Jonathan and Angelus came up from the dungeons with big smiles on their faces. They were expecting to have fun, but they weren't expecting to have THAT much fun.
"That redhead didn't scream for a while," Angelus said as they entered the Great Hall. Jonathan nodded, "Same with the muggle. But we got them to, eventually," he said and gave Angelus a high five.
"Ah dinner, will be soon, I better wash up," Jonathan said as he saw the table being set up.
"I'll see you in a little bit, I gotta see about Fred," the vampire said and Jonathan just nodded. He exited the Great Hall when he saw Draco and a few witches and wizards walking in with more prisoners.
"Another successful raid?" He asked the silvery blonde. Draco bowed slightly and nodded, "Yes my Lord. Master Andrew asked me to take this camp out since it was too close to us." The two fell in step towards the bed chambers.
"You've been doing really well Draco. As far as your father I don't see him coming into our fold. He's still loyal to Voldemort. I need to be loyal to us as well."
Draco nodded as they reached Jonathan's room, "Come by my room tonight after dinner and we'll discuss it some more," Jonathan said hoping Draco didn't see the twinkle in his eye.
"Yes sir," Draco said with and with another slight bow he walked away from Jonathan. He smiled at the thought of meeting with him tonight and he didn't know why he was smiling. He walked down the hallway and was about to turn when he bumped into Hermione, and Andrew.
"My Lord, My Lady, I apologize for not paying attention," he said keeping his head down.
"Draco, look at me," Andrew said waiting for him to look up. When he finally did Andrew nodded, "It's okay, I understand you're tired. I take it you had a successful take?"
"Yes sir, I was just going to wash up for dinner."
"Good, good, tomorrow I will talk with my Father about a promotion for you. Maybe be our second in command. You have been doing wonderful Draco, and I plan to reward handsomely," Andrew put a hand on his friend's shoulder and smiled.
"Thank you sir. Now if you'll excuse me, I would like to have a proper wash before dinner," he said hoping he wouldn't sound rude.
"Of course, off you go. I'll see you at dinner," Andrew let the young man go and then he looked at Hermione. He was about to say something when Flint came up to him.
"Sir there's a problem on the Horizon."
"What kind of problem?"
"We think some one is planning to ambush us. Some of our scouts found a few of Potter's followers heading this way."
Andrew nodded, "Thank you Flint, I'll get a party together." Flint bowed and walked away.
"Wait didn't you just have a raid?" Hermione asked. Andrew nodded, "Something's not right. I need to find Angelus, he and I can track whoever is out there," he gave her a kiss on her forehead and then rushed off.
********************************************************************
"Stop it," Fred giggled as Angelus played with her neck. "I can't help you look so wonderful, and you smell amazing," he said nibbling at her neck.
"Come on, we're gonna be late for dinner," she said as she got out of the bed. Angelus sighed, "Fine. Your stomach is more important than this," he said indicating to himself.
Fred just smiled and shook her head as she started to make herself presentable for dinner. Just as Angelus got out of bed there was a knock on their door. The both of them gave each other confused looks and Fred went to answer the door.
Angelus watched as pleasantries were exchanged and then he saw Andrew walk in. The only time Andrew would be wearing all black was when they would have to track some one and be stealthily about it.
"What's going on?" He finally asked.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, but our scouts have spotted a possible ambush coming our way. I figured you and I could track them and stop them before they could attack."
Angelus grabbed his coat and gave Fred a small kiss on her cheek. Andrew gave a slight bow to Fred and followed Angelus out.
The two walked out of the castle and up to one of the scouts, "Where are they Parkins?"
"We saw some prints and some shadows moving just over the ridge," she said.
"Okay, send some scouts to the west and east as well. I don't want to take any chances. Alert the castle to be ready for any attack."
Parkins bowed, "Yes my Lord," she said and rushed to the entrance of the castle. The two of them watched her rush off and then turned their attention back to the horizon. They looked at each other and they didn't have to say word. They just nodded and they both took off in a blink of an eye.
The castle was preparing for an oncoming attack. Guards were being station at every entrance. Even the secret entrances that Andrew uses for his morning runs. He made sure that every knew about them because he didn't any surprises.
Hermione stood on the steps of the castle wand in hand, waiting for Andrew and Angelus to come back. Jonathan came up next to her and smirked, "You're going to fight with us?" he asked trying to not sound so snarky.
Hermione just looked at him and then rolled her eyes. She knew that he didn't like her because of her time with Potter, but she couldn't help that. She killed Ginny who was her friend, she gave them Potter who was an ex boyfriend and her best friend. She didn't know how much more Jonathan wanted from her to prove her loyalty to their cause.
The two just stood there watching the horizon waiting for anything to come out of the tree line. There was a slight breeze in the twilight of the night. The sun had just barley set leaving the sky with the dark purple of the last of the daylight, the stars slowly peaking out and no sound was to be heard.
They would stand there as long it would take. They were all trained for something like this. The scouts went through at least six years of training before they could become scouts. From the classroom setting to how to survive in the wilderness. The final test was they had a week to find their way back to the castle. If a week past and they weren't back by then, they failed and they would have to find another way to serve the cause.
Out of everything to train for, it was being a scout that was the hardest. It wasn't made for everyone. So when a scout says something is wrong, they knew they had to prepare for what was to come. Either way they were always prepared for war.
Everyone turned to their left when they heard a light rustling. They saw one of the scouts pushing someone in front of them. One of the guards rushed up to them and started to help the scout. Once they reached the castle they took off their hood, "Found this one lurking about, says there are others around. Some to the south as well. He gave in easily," the scout said.
"Send scouts to the south," Draco said and the scout nodded. Hermione looked at the captor and walked up to him, "Well it's no wonder he caved easily. It's Colin Creevey, he and his brother follow Potter just as much as Weasel does." Hermione explained.
"Put him with his precious Potter," Jonathan said. The guard just nodded and took Colin into the castle.
Andrew looked at Angelus from the tree and gave him some hand signals. Angelus nodded, and started to move slowly through the trees. He had lighter feet than Andrew, whereas Andrew could climb and you wouldn't hear him.
Angelus came up on some one crouching behind a set of bushes. He knew that scent. How did he know that scent? He smelled it before, in Sunnydale and again in L.A. He looked up at Andrew and gave him a hand signal. The young wizard nodded and quietly climbed to the other tree.
He looked down at the figure, and waited. He could hear Angelus slowly creeping up behind who ever this person was. A few more steps and Angelus grabbed the person making sure he covered their mouth. Andrew landed softly and put a hood over their head. Angelus started to put his arm around the person's neck and started to squeeze just enough to make them pass out. They struggled until their body became limp.
Andrew signaled for a scout, "Take this one to the castle. We're going to keep tracking," he told the young scout, who just nodded and levitated the body and started to walk down the hill.
"How many do you think there are?" Andrew asked and Angelus looked around getting his bearings. Without a word he started to walk up the hill. Andrew smiled and just jumped up to the trees and started to follow his friend.
One by one the scouts started to gather the people that were trying to ambush the castle. Jonathan couldn't believe how many there were. He told Draco to go down to the dungeons and bring Potter to him. Without a beat he did as he was told.
He rushed to the dungeons and stopped in front of Potter's cell, "Master Borum wants Potter," without question the guard opened the cell as the other grabbed Potter and threw him out of the cell. Without waiting for him to get up Draco grabbed him by the shirt and started to walk towards the steps of the castle.
"Potter sir," Draco said throwing Potter to the ground. He coughed and looked up at Jonathan and Hermione standing over him, "So you think you can try to ambush us?"
Harry smiled, "I came prepared for this," he said with a laugh. Hermione shoved Jonathan aside and whispered a spell. Harry's body glowed for a few moments then the light shrunk into a small oval.
"Take off his shirt," Hermione ordered and Draco and another guard ripped off his shirt until it was completely off. The oval traveled through his chest, his arms, then his back, through his face and then back down until it came to a halt on his shoulder blade. It started to pulse then Harry started to scream in pain.
"Jonathan, I suggest you bring EVERYONE that was in that safe house. They all might have trackers on them," Hermione said turning back around looking into the darkness waiting.
Jonathan nodded at Draco, "Do as she says."
Draco nodded and picked up Harry and started to walk away. He brought everyone that was in the safe house to Jonathan and Hermione, and she did the same spell to each of them. All of them had something on their shoulder blades. Jonathan was a little impressed that Hermione knew what was going on.
"I suggest you bring me all those you just brought in as well. They could have the same thing," she told Jonathan who nodded at Draco.

It was well after midnight when Angelus and Andrew finally started to walk towards the castle. They caught at least five more people trying to attack the castle. They found that the plan was to attack at night while the castle slept. They thanked the scouts for a job well done and each other as well.
While they were walking back up to the castle they heard people screaming in pain. As they got closer they saw Hermione and Jonathan standing over one of Harry's followers.
"Well never thought I would see your girl inflict pain. I gotta say it's kinda hot," he said with a smirk as Andrew looked at him. If looks could kill Angelus would be a pile of dust. The vampire put up his hands, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Gosh, where's your sense of humor?" He asked as he adjusted his coat.
They walked up the steps of the castle and Fred greeted Angelus with a deep kiss and hug. Andrew walked up to Hermione and he gently put his hand on the small of her back.
"What's going on?" he asked.
"Granger, here found out how they found us," Jonathan said. Andrew looked at Hermione with pride, "How did you figure it out?"
"I really found it odd that after you sent that raid, there were still people out there. Then I remembered about three years ago, Dumbledore created a tracking spell that couldn't be detected," she started to explain.
"Wait then how-" Jonathan started to ask and Hermione held up her finger to silence him.
"I worked on a spell that would find it and detect it," she turned around and lifted up her hair and nodded for Andrew to pull down her shirt. Sure enough there was an oval shape burn mark on her back. "When they did it to me, I did test after test until I found the right one that would get rid of it. It hurt like hell, but I got it out of me. That's why they couldn't find me."
Jonathan walked up to her, "I'm very impressed. You've done really well," was all he said and he held out his hand for her to shake. She looked into his violet his eyes and shook his hand. Andrew looked at his brother and at Hermione shaking hands. He smiled knowing that Jonathan was finally starting to come around.
Rob and Voldemort came over to them, "It's late and we've all skipped dinner. We've sent food to everyone's room. Extra rations for the scouts that are out there for doing a job well done. Angelus and Andrew good work for tracking those individuals down. Hermione and Jonathan well done on finding those trackers. Now I believe we could all use some rest." Rob said and everyone agreed.
They started to walk into the castle, but he stopped Andrew, "Son, your tray of food is in Miss Grangers room. I thought you two could have a meal together in private," he said trying to hide his smile. Andrew nodded and took Hermione's hand.
"Does he truly think he's incapable of love?" Voldemort asked as he watched them walk down the hall.
"He does, but what he doesn't know is that he is capable. He just doesn't know what love is. Well at least not yet," Rob said with a smile.
Angelus walked down to the dungeon with Fred, "I want you to meet someone," he said as he took her hand. They both walked to the cell and he smirked, "Fred I want you to meet an old friend of mine," Fred went closer to the cell, it was dark and she couldn't see much. Angelus grabbed one of the torches and brought it closer so she could see.
"Who is she?" Fred asked as the figure started to wake up.
"The only other slayer in existence," he said almost too slowly. The figure groaned and finally opened their eyes. Angelus watched as they started to panic.
"About time you woke up," he teased.
"Angel? Angel! What's going on?" She asked as she rushed up to the bars. Long wavy brown hair flowing behind her. Her eyes full of fear and anger. Angelus just smiled, "Angel isn't here anymore," he said.
"Angelus," she said in almost a whisper.
"Are we five by five?" He asked and she started to pick up anything she could find to throw it at him. Before Fred could react he moved her behind him so he could get it with the stones instead.
"Now, now, now, that's no way to greet an old friend," he said tauntingly.
"Get me out of here!"
"I think Fred will have some fun with you," he smirked. "Better get comfortable, you're gonna be here for a long time. I have some other friends I would like you to meet. Get some rest Faith you look tired," he said as he put the torch back and took Fred's hand. The gave the slayer a wave and started to walk away. Faith's shouts fell on deaf ears. The guards finally stunned her after she kept taunting how she was going to kill all of them. Angelus just smiled as he took Fred out of the dungeons. He couldn't wait to show Andrew that they had two slayers in their possession.
They just needed to take down the Ministry everywhere and their dreams would become reality.
