A/N: I don’t own the song ‘Just a Kiss’ that is by lady antebellum and i make no money off it.
Hermione sat at the vanity while Rose brushed her hair back. She tapped her wand against her own hair and an elegant knot was twisted up on the back of her head. Rose set to work letting some of the curls flutter down around her bare shoulders, against her better judgment she allowed Rose to pick out her dress and now she wanted to smack herself. She wore a silvery-purple halter-top dress that showed more cleavage than she was comfortable with, dropped down to just above the swell of her bottom and had a slit all the way up to her mid-thigh with matching strappy heels.
“I can’t believe I let my thirteen year old dress me” Hermione groaned putting her forehead on her open palm.
“Mum” Rose said “You act like I dressed you alone but if you remember right Astoria was there and all the ladies in the store helped as well”
“I can’t believe…I’m not wearing this!” Hermione said suddenly.
“What are you going to wear then?” Rose asked angrily.
“I’ll transfigure a dress from something” She said quickly looking around.
“Mum” Rose grabbed her hands and held her still and looking in to her eyes “Teddy is going to be here in twenty minutes to pick you up…do you want to come in to the party on his arm in a frumpy dress that you transfigured from merlin only knows what?” She kept Hermione from moving “Or do you want to walk in and make everyone’s mouths drop open when they see the sexy witch coming in with him?”
“Frumpy doesn’t sound too bad” Hermione said making her daughter growl in frustration.
“Mum you are going in this dress or I will hit you with a spell that makes whatever you are wearing when you walk in to that party go instantly invisible!” Rose snapped.
“You wouldn’t” Hermione said.
“I think we both know that I will” Rose said
“I don’t believe that you would do that” Hermione said softly.
“Okay” Rose smiled sweetly at her “But are you willing to take that chance?”

Teddy and Hermione were fashionably late by ten minutes. It took a full ten minutes for Teddy to be able to breathe properly again and Hermione found that she liked that reaction and it made her feel sexy. Now, they entered hand in hand smiling for the camera’s and listening to the gossip that started when she removed her cape. She knew what they were thinking, she was so much older than he was it was a scandal.
“Teddy” Andromeda walked over with a strained smile on her face “When you said you had a date I never expected…” She looked pointedly at Hermione “Least you’re here”
“I don’t think your grandmother likes me anymore” Hermione whispered to him as they made their way in to the ballroom at Malfoy Manor.
“I think she’s jealous that you look so damn good” Teddy whispered against her ear making her shiver
“You are too much, Teddy” She whispered “You can manage to make me shudder with only words…do I not affect you at all?”
“If you knew what you did to me you wouldn’t have made me wait so long” Teddy answered with a heated look that made her blush. They all looked towards the door as a house-elf entered dressed in a little suit and cleared his throat.
“Your host and hostess for the evening” He announced and moved aside as Draco and Astoria entered the room “Draco and Astoria Malfoy” Draco wore a black muggle suit with a vest, white dress shirt and tailored pants and shiny black shoes. His white blonde hair fell in to his clear grey blue eyes and Hermione realized that unless gelled in to submission he could not keep his hair out of his eyes. Even when the Malfoy’s had a bad hair day they looked amazing. Astoria had her long blonde hair hanging down to her waist and in ringlets, her make-up perfect and her form fitting green ball gown was a little over the top in Hermione’s opinion. The little elf walked forward again for another announcement.
“Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy” He called out. Lucius barely aged though she could tell that there was now silver in his blonde hair and there were a few lines around his face. Narcissa looked as cold as possible and still looked like she smelled something unpleasant.
“Honored guests” Draco said as Astoria hung on his arm “Tonight we have more to celebrate than the new year because just a week ago a marriage contract was signed” There was polite clapping and eager faces and Lucius and Narcissa looked positively surprised by the news “Our son has found himself a bride and quite a beautiful little Ravenclaw she is” Everyone clapped and there were a few catcalls from the crowd “Everyone I give you my son, Scorpius Malfoy and his fiancée Rose Granger” Hermione was pleased to see Lucius Malfoy choke on his wine and Narcissa’s face turn an unpleasant shade of red “Now you have heard from us on this matter lets see what Rose’s parents think about it”
“Oh” Ron said intelligently and looked at Hermione who was clinging to Teddy’s arm like a vice “Hermione?”
“When this was first brought to my attention I have to say I was against it” Hermione answered it speaking loud enough for all to hear her “But seeing the promise of love within them I could not keep them from being together and I hope that you two are happy”
Rose ran over to her mother and wrapped her arms around her. She was a sight in a cream colored ball gown with her thick red curls spilling over her shoulders. Astoria said that it’s not right for her hair to be up at parties until she is married, Hermione thought that the rule was mental but Rose took it for gospel truth. The dancing began then, the beautiful multicolored dresses spun around the floor and swung against one another. Ron was sitting in the corner with an unhappy looking Lavender and Harry was being dragged around the floor by an overly excited Ginny. Hermione found herself being spun around the room by Teddy who it appeared knew every single dance.
“You look ravishing tonight” He whispered in her ear as a muggle song started to play “I don’t think I will ever get this image of you out of my mind…until I see you in a wedding gown that is”

Teddy pulled her against his front, his right hand rested on her lower back and her hand was held firmly in his left. His eyes were locked on her and she found that she couldn’t look away from him, it was like his eyes were magnets that held her. She blushed when his hair changed from light brown to purple and black and he smirked apologetically. It was like there was no one else in the room when he held her this close and for once she wasn’t worried about what others were thinking.

“I love knowing that for once others are looking at me wanting to be me and not just waiting for me to do something ‘werewolfish’” Teddy said
“I don’t think I know what you mean” Hermione whispered, as she looked around at the other dancers.
“All the men want to be me right now” Teddy informed “And for once I don’t want to be them. I have the most beautiful woman in the room and I love knowing they are jealous”
“I’m pleased that you are so happy” Hermione answered. She blushed again when his fingertips grazed her spine leaving gooseflesh in their wake and making her nipples harden as she imagined what else those sinful hands could be touching.

Hermione lowered her head slightly and leaned in to him. He pressed his lips against her forehead and then pulled her closer so her cheek rested against his shoulder. Both her hands rested on his waist then slid to his lower back making him moan slightly in response to her touching. He’d wanted her for so long and now that she was in his arms he was nervous.
“You are the one I’ve been waiting for my whole life” He whispered almost too low for her to actually hear.
“You don’t really want me” She answered though she refused to move away from him.
“You don’t understand the depth of my feelings for you” He told her “I don’t even fully understand the feelings myself”
“You scare me when you talk like that” Hermione admitted “You make me feel things that I have long forgotten”
“Then how do you know that you’re feeling them?” He smirked at her.
I know that if we give this a little time
It'll only bring us closer to the love we wanna find
It's never felt so real, no it's never felt so right
Hermione could feel emotions clogging her throat but didn’t know where they were coming from. She blamed the song, the more she listened to the words of it the more she realized that it spoke of the relationship they were having. A kiss goodnight, that would be nice but with Rose going home with her father she knew somewhere in her mind that tonight Teddy would be staying all night. He had spent many nights with her before but this night felt different the longer he held her the more she wanted him. She more he whispered to her the more she wanted to give herself to him. He was slowly becoming everything that she had ever wanted and in that night he was prefect she just hoped that they would feel the same in the light of tomorrow.

With the song ending they made their way out of the manor house and on to a veranda. The air was cold but it felt great on their heated skin, Teddy slid back in to the house and came back out with two Champaign flutes. She took a sip and looked at him, her breath caught in her throat as he moved closer and leaned forward. His lips pressed against hers, she parted her lips and allowed his tongue entrancing and that was it, they pressed closer to one another and she moaned and pushed her hips against his loving the way he moaned in response.

They walked back in to the house and celebrated the New Year with everyone else. She had a dance with Harry and one with Ronald, Draco danced with her and to her surprise Lucius even danced with her. She was surprised that everyone accepted her as well as they did and found herself having actual conversations with Slytherins that had never wanted to give her the time of day before. All too soon the night was wrapping up and she was leaving with Teddy.
Snow was falling again and it left little fluffs in Hermione’s hair as they reached her door. Teddy tossed snow at her playfully and laughed when she returned the toss then smiled at him flirtatiously and turned back to her house walking up the un-shoveled walkway.
“Is Rose or Hugo here tonight?” He asked.
“No” She answered “Just me” She turned and looked at him lowering her gaze to the snow.
“Can I kiss you?” He whispered.
“Sure” She answered. He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers and once again she was completely lost herself within him again.

“Teddy” She moaned against his lips “Would you like to come in?”
