Severus was a fool. He didn't know how else to describe himself except as a stupid, mindless fool who acted completely irrationally. And now the thought of having to go back and face Yuki was horrifying. Severus wondered if she had told anyone. If she did he was sure to get a talk from Dumbledore and awkward glaring stares from everyone else. The stares he could handle, he was used to everyone hating him, it was the conversation he would have with Dumbledore that made him nauseous. What is he excused him from the order for is move on Yuki? Severus couldn't bare that thought. He would have nothing left, just his mediocre job at Hogwarts which was hardly satisfying at times.
It was a stupid thing to do. But he couldn't stop thinking about it. There was just something that drew him into her. He couldn't help himself once he felt her arms around him; his body stiffed from the shock but when she pulled away, and he looked into her clear green eyes, he felt more lost then he had in his whole life. And when he kissed her, there was something in that ten seconds in time which seemed so right. Severus felt horrible for the fact that he had enjoyed the kiss, and even worse for wanting to feel it a again. Was that really so bad?
Yuki hadn't exactly stopped him or pulled away, but didn't particularly show sign that she wanted him to kiss her. It was a complicated puzzle Severus was piecing together, and it had just become even more complex. As with every time he knew he had to go back to number twelve, Severus found that it was the last thing he wanted to do. He knew that this time he would have to explain to Yuki what happened, and worst of all apologize for his actions. But Severus had no idea how to go about any of that. There was no excuse for what he did, except for that he had been wanting to kiss her since the moment he saw her. But of course he couldn't tell her that. She would then lose all trust in him (if she hasn't already) and maybe even with the rest of the order. God, Severus had gotten himself into some situation and for once he had no idea how to get out of it.
Maybe Yuki would forgive him and he could put this behind. She was a sweet and understanding person so Severus was becoming slightly sure that she wouldn't make a big deal of everything. He even thought that she wouldn't even bring it up the next time he goes to see her. But even if she didn't bring it up Severus knew he had too, if he ignored what happened he would go crazy, wondering what she might be thinking of him. Severus decided that when he went back to number twelve, he would talk to Yuki about it, and apologize for a mistake that should never have happened.

Yuki, had a hell of a time sleeping that night. In a fitful state of tossing and turning she couldn't seem to get herself in a position that would will her mind to sleep. She told herself it was the uncomfortable mattress that was keeping her awake. Really it was the thought that kept replaying in her mind since the moment it happened: The short and indefinable graze of Severus' lips against her own. Through the night of thinking about it over and over again Yuki realized that it was something she didn't know she wanted to happen, till it happened. It was something she didn't understand. She had only known Severus for a few weeks, but there was something about his presence that made her feel at a comfort she was sure she had never felt before.
Through the open curtain above the bed, Yuki could see the light of the rising sun. It was another day, another day locked inside number twelve, waiting to see if Severus would show up. Yuki wasn't sure what would happen when Severus came, if he ever would as he was known for disappearing for days. What would she say to him about what had happened? Part of her felt it was her fault, she felt as though she enticed him by touching him. Maybe that was it, maybe she had lead him to kiss her. But then that would mean that some part of her subconscious had known she wanted to kiss him before she did. And also, it meant that Severus really did want to kiss her also. The though made Yuki shiver. Severus actually wanting her, wanting to touch her, it created a curious squirm in her lower region.
Not being one to spend the whole day in bed, Yuki threw back the covers and got up. She didn't want anyone in the house to think her behavior different as if it might be a sign of what had happened. Most of the house was down at breakfast, Tonks and Remus joining in that morning for the first time in a few days. Reluctantly Yuki took a seat next to Sirius who was busy chatting with Harry who was on his right.
"Good morning Yuki," Remus greeted her, "How have you been?"
Yuki nodded her head a bit and kept her eyes down. "Fine thank you."
"Everything going well with Snape?" Tonks asked as she loaded her plate with eggs and large pieces of ham.
Yuki felt a wave of panic for a moment till she realized Tonks was referring to their sessions.
"Everything's going well."
Conversation flowed around the table like wind, brushing past Yuki as she stayed perfectly still and quiet. No one seemed to notice her subtle escape from the room as she went back upstairs to her room. She grabbed a book and opened it to where she had left off, hoping to forget herself for only a short time and retreat to the world of literature. Luckily enough no one bothered her much that day, just Hermione to ask if she wanted to join everyone in the lounge for tea; Yuki politely declined saying she wasn't feeling up to it and returned to her book in peace. As Yuki was nearing the end of the book and the day was becoming dark, she realized Severus would not be coming by that day. And she thought, the better that was, for them.

Finally working up his courage - which Severus normally was never out of - and reassuring himself that once he talked to her everything would be fine, Severus decided to apperate to number twelve. It was late and the street lamps flickered on. All the house on the street looked the same, except for the one no one could see. Severus walked up to the door and paused before walking in, taking in one long breath and holding it as he slowly turned the golden door knob and walked in.
"Ronald Weasley you get down here right now!" Molly yelled from the bottom of the stairs. In a huff she turned around, jumping back when she saw Severus behind her. "Oh Severus, it's nice to see you."
Severus nodded his head and before he could ask Molly where Yuki was Ron came running down the stairs.
"What is it mom?"
"I know what your brothers sent you today, your sister told me, and right after supper I want you to give all of their tricks to me. You got that?"
"But-"
"No buts Ronald, do you hear me?" Molly threatened with her finger waving in Ron's face. He nodded.
"Good now get in the kitchen it's time for-"
But Molly was cut short by the the loud bang of pots crashing down. Severus didn't have to see it to know what happened.
"Sorry Molly!" Tonks yelled just before Molly took off into the kitchen, leaving Severus alone with Ron.
Ron, always having been afraid of Professor Snape, was frozen in place, though he really wanted to run into another room. Severus was having fun keeping eye contact with Ron, he knew he'd break any moment. Severus loved having that affect of people.
"Umm...I uh..." Ron studderd, "are you here to see Yuki?"
Severus curved his lip up and narrowed his eyes at Ron.
"I'll just go get her..." Ron said and ran up the stairs.
Severus stood in the hall alone for a moment until Yuki appeared at the top of the stairs. She stopped for a second and looked down at him. Her hand on the railing and her foot lingering on the edge of the top step. She wore her hair down -Severus had liked it down - and was clothed in a long sheer, white-cotton summer dress, flowing just down to her knees. Now that he was here and she was there, Severus wasn't so sure anymore about coming by.
"Hello Severus," Yuki said as she began walking down the stairs. Ron, who Severus just noticed had been hiding behind her, took off for the kitchen once they reached the bottom of the stairs.
Looking into her eyes Severus forgot all train of thought, not knowing what to say though he had practiced it before he came.
"I think we should talk," Yuki told him.
Before there was time to speak Molly returned from the kitchen again, wiping her hands on the sky blue apron she was wearing.
"Oh Yuki dear, supper's ready," Molly said. When she noticed Severus still standing there she turned to him and said, "Severus will you be joining us tonight?"
"Yes," Yuki answered for him, "he will."
Molly smiled and Severus could see her eyes glint when she looked at him one last time before going back into the kitchen.
"I came here to talk, Yuki," Severus said in a low voice.
"I know, but I thought we should eat something first, I haven't eaten all day," Yuki told him. It was true, but she was also putting off the talk they were going to have.
"I never stay," Severus told her, "I'm not exactly the dinner guest they like to have."
"Well, you're my dinner guest tonight," Yuki said and walked over to the kitchen dining room. In defeat Severus followed her, sensing that this was a bad idea, but her idea none the less. Everyone was gathered around the table: Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Molly, Moody Ron, Harry, Hermione and Ginny. Severus was thankful the only seat left was not next to Sirius, otherwise he was sure ten minutes into dinner one of them would stab the other with a fork. He took the seat next to Yuki with Ginny Weasley on his other side. Across from Ginny sat the person who hated Severus the most and who Severus was generous enough to return the animosity too.
"Severus, what are you doing here?" Sirius asked as he leaned back in his chair as he so often did.
"He has decided to join us," Molly said.
Sirius face twisted in disgust. "Who asked you?" he said with disdain.
"I did," Yuki answered and watched Sirius' face untwist into confusion.
"Oh well, nice of you Yuki, to try and socialize the whelp," Sirius said.
"Tell me," Severus began, "is it customary to let the dog at the table?"
"It is when it's my table..."
"Please can we all just try to get along?" Molly asked.
"So Severus, how's the brainwashing going?"
"What are you on about Black?"
"Well no one in there right mind, especially Yuki here, would actually ask you to stay."
"wait-," Yuki tried to say over the arguing.
"Excuse me Black."
"I've seen the way you look at her," Sirius growled, "and you can forget about it. No women would ever want a greasy-git like you."
Severus wasn't at all shocked by what Sirius said, he knew it was true, but hearing it said in front of Yuki was the last thing he had wanted.
"Perhaps you're right Black, but then again no one in their right mind would want an illegal crooked fugitive with fleas either. At least I serve a purpose unlike you who is stuck in this house doing nothing!" Severus snapped in his arctic, calm voice that always frightened his classes by the composure it held. Severus shoved back his chair and let it fall backwards on the floor. He trailed to the door with his robe flowing behind him and pushed his way out of the dining room.
"Hmm, problem solved," Sirius said as though he had just gotten rid of a common spider.
Yuki glared at Sirius, for the first time understanding why Severus detested him so, and pushed her own chair back, running out of the room after Severus.
Thanks for reading. Review if you can. I like to know what you think. New part out soon. Good part out soon;)!!
