The sun broke through the haze earlier than normal the next day. The two had breakfast in their rooms, tomorrow Severus would be called, and they needed to be ready. Severus bows," The Headmaster believes that you have gone into hiding for the time being, he expects nothing my Lord. Unfortunately, however he still does not trust me enough to give me the location of where the order meets." Voldemort hisses in displeasure. " I told you to make him trust you Severus, you were to ingratiate yourself to him and make him believe you were fully committed to his cause. I'm very disappointed that you have disobeyed me. Harry dove under the sheets searching for his boxers finally finding them and coming out from the cocoon to slide them on and get situated again.
Severus ordered breakfast and as he expected, the elf is ecstatic and delivers a tray with more food than either of them can possibly eat. He chuckles shaking his head and carries the tray into the bedroom.
Harrys eyes lit up. "I've never had one, but I always wanted to" he said as Severus sat down the tray.
Severus frowns at him "A proper English breakfast?" He asks.
Harry nodded leaning forward to start filling a plate of food.
Severus frowns "Well you can now. " He says also filling a plate. "Though I must admit I haven't had many of them, growing up poor meant you didn't have things like this." He says.
"Yup, I understand, the Dursleys weren't poor really but they never gave me more than a homeless person would get." Harry started to eat. "This is the first time I've ever felt like I could be myself, thank you Severus" Harry said leaning over for a quick kiss.
Severus returns the kiss happily, "You're welcome Harry. I wouldn't want you to be anyone else." He says and starts eating.
They both ate their fill, Harry leaning back on the bed with a very full stomach. "That was amazing" he said sighing and enjoying just being lazy. He turned his head to Severus "Presents?" He asked with a glint in his eye.
Severus smiles, "Yes. We should go see if old saint Nicolas has paid us a visit." He says with a smirk.
Harry just laughed and rolled to get out of bed, staggering a bit as he still didn't have full function of his legs. "I think I'll be needing a pain potion Sev" He said limping to the wardrobe pulling out his clothes to get dressed.
Severus nods and goes into the bathroom, opening a cupboard, pulling a pain potion out and he gives it to Harry. "You ok Love?" He asked concerned. He got dressed himself when his question was met with a smile and a kiss.
Harry downs the potion and finishes dressing. He waited on Sev to finish and they headed out to the sitting area to sit by the fire and open their gifts.
They walk into the living room and Severus waits for Harry to notice the difference. There is of course a pile of gifts beneath the tree, but there are also two full stockings of treats hung on the mantle.
Harry walks over to the fire and sees the stockings. "What?" He asked Severus. He knew what these were but never had one himself. Then he looked under the tree and there were gifts there that hadn't been there the night before. "Gods I don't deserve you" Harry said. He only planned to bring out his gifts in the morning, it didn't occur to him to do it at night, but seems Severus wanted this to be special for Harry and Harry's heart felt like it might explode.
Severus blushes, "Well you said you've never had a proper Christmas before, and I know you're not a kid anymore but I thought maybe you might like to feel like one a little bit today so, I played Saint Nick in the night." He says. "Happy Christmas Harry."
Harrys face flushed before the tears flooded his eyes. "Thank you Severus" Harry said going straight for his arms. "I love you" he said hugging him and just marveling in the fact that Sev could be romantic.
Severus embraces Harry, "You're very welcome my Love. And I very much love you too." He says holding him tightly for a long moment. "Now come let's open them."
Harry jumped and sat down by the fire pulling out gifts from under the tree. Severus refused to let Harry give him his until he had opened everything.
Severus had gotten Harry a couple muggle board games, a new broom servicing kit, a new traveling cloak, a new wrist watch to replace his old beaten up one, a gift card to a muggle clothing store for £150 and a wand holder that could be attached to his clothes or robes. As well as an assortment of both muggle and magical treats.
Harry opened everything in awe, he definitely felt spoiled. "Thank you Sev, for everything" he looked back at his gifts and began to open up the watch so he could put it on. "I only got you one thing this year." Harry said
Severus smiles, "That's alright, I wanted to spoil you this year, and two things I had my other gift earlier" he says with a wink.
"Dirty mind" Harry said smiling. "Grab your cloak, I wanna show you something." Harry said getting his and going back to the fireplace. Taking Severus with him in the floo, he says a clear address, one Severus never heard before and within second they entered an empty house. "If you don't like it, we can always do something else but it's ours" Harry said hoping he hadn't taken too much initiative.
Severus looks around the large cottage in awe there are wood floors a large kitchen with a skylight a breakfast nook and a door to a large backyard he looks out they are in the country he thinks he can see a small town in the distance. There is room enough for a garden a greenhouse if he wanted it. He takes Harry's hand and they walk through the house the dining room is small but more than enough for their needs the living room is spacious and has an intricate stone fireplace. And a large window with a seat that is also a storage space. There is room for a piano should he wish to get one. There's a small bathroom off of this. Still holding Harry's hand, they head up the stairs to find three good sized bedrooms the master being obviously with its in suite bathroom. There is another smaller bathroom between the two other bedrooms. Going back downstairs and out the back door he sees a staircase leading down under the house to a full basement that would be perfect to fit a potions lab in. After returning back outside and to the front of the house he takes in the whole thing the house the land the area and then turning to Harry he takes both of his hands in his and says. " It's perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present than this, I love you Harry. " He says and pulls Harry in to kiss him.
Harry had a smile on his face the whole time as Severus walked through the house pulling Harry along. It was like the man was in awe of a life that was staring him right in the face. Harry couldn't take his eyes off of him. "You're welcome, and I love you too, but that's just the first part" Harry said telling Severus to stay put. Harry apparated, and quickly popped back followed by 5 men with boxes. "There from the apothecary in London, some of the best ingredients and supplies you can buy. They are currently stocking your lab to the brim with everything you need." Harry watched as the men entered the house, Hermione had orchestrated all of this for Harry and he was so grateful, even if it did cost a pretty penny for delivery on Christmas Day.
Severus smiles "So that's three gifts then my Love, all that... Now I feel spoiled. " He says. " I'd like to make this our home. It's beautiful Harry I couldn't have found a better place. You are the most amazing fiancée a man could ask for. "
"You wouldn't have said that a year ago." Harry laughed pulling Severus back into the house. "Let go back and enjoy Christmas. Tomorrow is moving day" He smiled and pulled out a pouch of floo powder and they went back to Sev's quarters at Hogwarts.
