A/N: I"m sooo sorry this took so long my life has been out of control but here is chapter 14 and you will get to see bits and pieces of Mitch's past enjoy. Also remember Riley is Mitch's real name if there's any confusion just let me know because sometimes I tend to write Riley then I'll switch to Mitch but remember Riley is Mitch's real name

Hermione stood there looking after Mike as he walked away. She wasn't sure what was going on or what had just happened. She continued to make her way to the Headmaster's office and when she did she said the password which was Butterfingers. She never really understood why Dumbledore had such a sweet tooth. She climbed the stair case to his office and sat in one of the chairs in front of his desk and waited for him to come back. She didn't have to wait long since he was walking through the door, "Ah Miss Granger, thank you for coming," he said as he walked over to his desk and sat behind it. "Now you may have a lot of questions regarding my great granddaughter," he started to say and Hermione just nodded.

"Well it all started with her father he was a controlling man I should say. He made Riley steal and cheat just so he could get by in the world. He also signed her up for fights where the fathers would make bets on who would win," he took a big sigh and then continued, "It wasn't until she was about 13 she met Kelsey who was going through the same situation. They both found an escape in music, they would play their guitars on the streets and people would toss coins in their cases. Then they met Eric, Ryan, and Mike, they were looking for guitarists and a singer and they heard Kelsey and Riley and asked them to join their band."

Hermione listened to every word and couldn't believe Mitch's father did that to her and she couldn't believe that a father would do that to his daughter. She tried to hold back the tears as she heard Dumbledore tell this story. It's so unreal because how can some one so sweet have such a horrible past.

"They all went to the same school our sister school Eric, got the two in after talking with the headmaster she let Kelsey and Riley in even though they missed a couple of years. They both caught on real quick and were at the top of their classes. Over the summer holidays Riley would spend time with her family and then spend time with Mike's family. It was around when Riley was about 15 her father finally left but he kept showing up here and there for money. The band these young people created was getting popular and they were getting offers from record deals left and right. They named Mike their manger since he started it up and they signed to a small underground label. Riley met Jessie around this time and they started dating," Dumbledore continued.

Hermione tensed up at the sound of Jessie's name and she let the headmaster continue on with the story, "After about a month of dating Jessie became really clingy and possessive and Riley took comfort in Danielle; Mike's sister. The two were becoming closer over the years and they never really acted upon their feelings for one another for a a while until Jessie announced that she and Riley were going to get married. Riley left for nearly a day and came back and told Jessie it was over. Riley when back to school and would start fights because some one would look her the wrong way or they would call her a name. It came to one point where she almost killed another student. She was just about to be 16 when she and Danielle were finally together," Dumbledore stood up and went over to the window and began to talk again, "Danielle was Riley's calm, her happiness, her world they planned on getting married and the band was going to sign to a bigger record label. That all came crashing down when Jessie followed Danielle and ran her off the road and before Danielle could react Jessie shot her. Kelsey came by only moments later and saw Jessie leaving gun in hand. He called the police and found Danielle in her car barely alive. Riley showed up five minutes later and held Danielle in her arms until her last breath,"

"Excuse me Professor," Hermione said interrupting him. He turned around, "Yes Miss Granger?"he asked. "How do you know all of this?" she asked him wondering how he got all this information in such short time.

He smiled, "Riley was distraught and she came to me and she could speak so I looked into her memories and she brought Kelsey along and I looked into his memories as well," he told her.

She nodded understanding, "Okay I was just wondering is all," she said and nodded for him to continue. He smiled and walked back over to his desk and sat down, "Now after the death of Danielle, Jessie was arrested and she was sent to a mental hospital for insanity. She was released within a year and found Riley here and now she wants Riley back and will do anything to get her," he said as he finished his story.

There was a silence in the room for a few minutes before the headmaster spoke up, "You should go to her she's waiting for you," he said with a smile. She nodded, "Thank you Professor for telling me this," she said as she stood up and left the office. Once left the entrance of the headmaster's office she ran towards the hospital wing. She wanted to be by Riley's side and just hold her and never left her go. She couldn't let the one person she truly loves go because of one girl that wants her back. She didn't bother looking around for Harry or Ron; she didn't even hear the "Hi" or "Heys" towards her. Her main focus was the hospital wing.

She finally reached the hospital wing out of breath and she saw Draco standing guard in front of a bed he turned and saw her he smiled softly. She walked up to him and he hugged her, "She's been asking for you," he said as he pulled back the curtains and she walked in. There she was laying there still with a bandage around her hand. She was asleep but then she woke up and smiled as she saw Hermione, "Hey beautiful," Riley said. Hermione couldn't hold back the tears she rushed to her and threw her arms around her, "Oh Merlin I'm so happy you're alright," she said and she finally let the tears fall. "Hey hey hey, I'm alright I'm right here I'm not going anywhere," Riley said and moved over so that Hermione could have some room to lay down with her.

Hermione calmed down after a few minutes and then kissed her girlfriend softly, "I love you so much," she whispered and Riley was taken by surprised, "You love me?" she asked not believing what she just heard. Hermione smiled, "I do with all my heart," she answered as she touched the other girl's cheek. Riley didn't saying anything she just kissed Hermione and let some silent tears fall. She finally pulled away, "I love you Hermione," she finally said. Hermione smiled and they both settled in Riley's bed happy and content.

After they both confessed their love for each other they fell asleep for a couple of hours and Hermione woke up first. She smile and saw the sleeping form of the most handsomest girl she has ever seen. She kept smiling as Riley slowly started to wake up, "Hey you," she said stretching and Hermione smiled, "Hey yourself," Hermione said. They sat there for a few more minutes until Hermione finally confessed that Dumbledore told her everything and her girlfriend just nodded. "I was going to tell you today but then I saw my father and everything went dark," Riley said and Hermione just nodded. "He's dead to me but sometimes I can feel him and I can see him. Did Dumbledore tell you the reason why he left?" she asked and Hermione shook her head now.

Mitch sighed, "Well I came home from school for summer vacation and the house was a mess I rushed up the stairs and I saw my mom was tied to the bed bloody and bruised I untied her and I asked what happened. She just told me to go check the little ones," she started to say and Mitch tried to hold back the tears. "I ran to the play room and there where my younger brothers and sisters naked and in a line. I saw my father start to take off his shirt and before he could anything I tackled him to the ground and just started to punch him. Everything when dark on me and the last thing I remember is Mike taking me off my father and I was covered in my father's blood," she said wiping the tears away. "I called both muggle and magical police and I told them both what happened. The magical police took him away since they don't take kindly to people like my father. We had court and I watched the memories of my mom of what he did to her and I jumped and started to wail on him again. I almost killed him that day," she said wiping some more tears away.

Hermione was also crying thinking that Riley has been through so much it was horrible to hear. Her father was a monster and she's glad that they caught him and locked him up. Or so she hoped that's what happened.

"The guards pulled me away and they told me that if I didn't restrain myself then I would be put in cuffs and taken away. Then they started to show the memories of my younger brothers and sisters and I could watch he was going to......," Riley couldn't even finish but Hermione got an idea of what her father was going to do. Riley cleared her throat, "Anyway he was sentenced to death which is gonna take place on my birthday next month," she said as she finished her story.

Hermione was just about to say something when some one burst into the room, "Well well well she got you up in the hospital didn't she?" the male voice said and Riley stiffened up.
