Chapter 14
Eyes wide, Lucius took in the reaction he was seeing, including those in the house meeting the floor. He also could easily see how angry Harry was. While he was sure there was plenty bottled up from incidents over the years, he was equally certain that part of what was coming was from the bond. That meant nothing good. Knowing Harry was the same age as his son and when they were that young they didn't always have the greatest of self control, he was sure that added into the mix. Even worse was what had gone on with Sirius and Bill. That probably set Harry off plenty. After all, it would most. Shaking his head, hearing Remus stammer as he tried to wade in and help, Lucius turned to the wide-eyed Severus, who was now down by him and hissed, “Tell Narcissa to get Albus over here, now. And for him to bring some others with him to help. Whatever is coming, we’ll probably need plenty to help us.”
“I will,” Severus assured him then made his way over to the stunned Narcissa to pass the message. However, as he did, he could feel his own bondmark starting to tingle. That indicated nothing good and would aid nothing when it came to calming the situation. All he hoped was help could get here before a huge explosion came.Hurrying back down the stairs, not liking the gold and red energy that seemed like it was swirling around Harry, Bill planned to grab him and carrying him up the stairs if he had to. There was plenty of anger there on his end as well, something he was sure was helping fuel what was going on with Harry, but he did not want to see the outcome if this kept up. Passing Charlie, he heard his brother mumble something about getting the three of them the hell out of there and that he and the twins would hold off their mum, he muttered, “I'll do my best.” And he would. When he was down on the bottom step, he grabbed Sirius by the arm then said, “Help me get him upstairs.” As the man looked plenty angry himself, he was sure that the worst was coming if he didn't do something. Looping his arm around Harry's waist, he said, keeping a soft, even tone while his eyes were locked on the five peeling themselves off the floor, “Come on, Harry. Let's get upstairs. We'll handle this later.” He just hoped his mum would have the common sense to realize that if she kept it up, worse than landing arse first on the floor was coming.“No,” Harry snarled, temper going through the roof. “I've had it, Bill. She's not going to talk to you that way anymore or treat Sirius like that.”“We understand that,” Sirius said, looping his arm around Harry as well, trying to drag him up the stairs while keeping an eye on their five visitors. Molly was up off the floor, dusting herself off, while looking enraged. “We just need to get some of this under control before you blow up. As we don't have a clue what might come, it's best we not do this now. Meeting the floor is probably the least harmful thing that will come of it.”Stepping in front of the three, Fred and George glared at their mum before Fred told them out of the side of his mouth, “Go, Harry. We'll handle it. Between us and Charlie, we'll take it on.”“Just vanish and stay hidden until this blows over,” George mumbled, stiffening as their mum, looking irate, came in their direction.“We're heading up to the top floor,” Bill told them, physically picking Harry up and starting to carry him that way. Harry wouldn't like that, as angry as he was, but it was better than the alternative.Helping Bill, as Harry was starting to struggle, snarling as he did, Sirius kept an eye on what was going on. Molly was making her way in their direction, wand out. “Fuck,” he muttered when she cast a spell. Not sure what it was, though he ducked it, he then heard Bill swearing. Glancing up, he saw a wall in front of them, meaning they could go nowhere. Oh, bloody hell, the bad was just getting worse as this went on. Keeping a tight hold on the squirming Harry, he looked at the enraged Molly as Bill tried to get rid of the wall. “That's enough! You need to stop it, Molly. Bill and I know what we're doing.”“What you're doing is manhandling poor Harry,” Molly shrieked. “Both of you need to let him go. How dare you do this, both of you!”“What we're doing is trying to stop this from getting worse,” Sirius snarled as he, too, tried getting rid of the wall as quickly as he could manage. That—whatever it was swirling around the three of them was getting brighter, better defined and more intense. Whatever was going on sure as hell wasn't good and he knew it.“I've had it,” Harry snarled again, struggling to get loose, glaring at Mrs. Weasley.“Just calm down,” Bill told him, swearing as nothing he was doing was working to get rid of the wall his mother cast. He had no idea what she did to make it to where he couldn't get rid of it by normal means, but this was not helping.“Let him loose!” Molly raged, pointing her wand at the two then casting the spell to get their hands off Harry. Giving the upset Harry a sweet smile, she told him, “Come on, Harry, dear. You're loose. We'll go sit and talk.”“Don't 'Harry, dear,' me,” Harry snapped as Bill and Sirius again grabbed hold of him. “I've had it with this, all of it.”“I know it's upsetting. Just come talk to me and it'll be better,” Molly told him with her sweetest smile plastered on her face. “You know we're the next best thing to your family and only have your best interests at heart. I'm sure you'll feel much better about all of this when we're done talking. Then we'll work on getting you out of this mess.”“You are not,” Harry shouted, that energy and throb getting stronger. “Sirius is my only family,” he snarled at her.“Dear, you're just upset and that's understandable,” Molly huffed, casting the spell again that got poor Harry out of the grip of the other two. “You know we're more of a family than Sirius. He only sees you as your father.”Eyes overly wide at what he was seeing, Arthur stepped up and tried to actually pull his wife back, keeping an eye on the obviously furious Harry. “Molly, you need to stop. Let Harry alone. I do believe it's best that you let them go upstairs and calm down.”Pushing her husband aside, Molly reached out to put her arm around the upset teen, ignoring Fred, George and Charlie when they tried to keep her away. “Come on, Harry. We'll go calm down now that those two aren't trying to yank you away.”That energy surrounding him shoving her back, Harry advanced on her. “Don't you touch me ever again,” he ground out. “Ever! I've had it with this whole mess and this dumb game I've had to play with all of you. I know just what goes on in that house and how you've treated four of your sons. You are not getting your claws into me! I don't buy the act any of you are putting on anymore. It's all crap. All it is. You huff about Sirius and the Dursleys, but you're no better with how you've treated Fred, George, Charlie and Bill!” Seeing a stunned look on her face, Harry grinned, though it looked malevolent.Advancing, brushing off Sirius and Bill's hands as they tried to grab hold of him. “Yes, I know. I also know why you treated me so well. It had nothing to do with the right thing, but what you wanted for Ron and Ginny.” Eyes sliding to Ginny, who had moved up and was standing behind her mother, Harry snarled, “I'm not yours, Ginny. I never will be. There is nothing you could do to convince me to be with you. Just because it's something you feel you deserve and want, doesn’t mean it's going to happen. Sorry, I put up with enough of that kind of behavior from Dudley.” Snorting, that grin growing eviler, he added, “You have nothing at all I'm interested in.”“Harry!” Ginny said, stepping closer and trying to grab him. “You just need some time, nothing more. I know you're upset about the bond and all that, but we'll find a way to break it. Just give us all time. Hermione is already looking into it and thinks she has a way. You just need to give her more time to research what she found.”Back pedaling, Harry shouted, “Don't touch me! Never touch me!” However, as he did that, Ginny's hands just vanished. Not hearing her shriek of panic, he continued, “I was never yours. Ever! I never will be. And, know what? I don't want this broken! I like it! No one else in the house might, but I do! I've wanted to be with Bill since I met him. We were planning on that when I graduated. This gives it to us without having to worry about it anymore. And I now get to be around Sirius all the time, something plenty made sure wasn't going to happen. So, bugger off! I don't want a solution found. I want it just the way it is.”Looking up after trying to tend to her now shrieking daughter, Molly glared at Bill, who was once more, with Sirius' help, trying to drag Harry away. “What do you mean by that when it comes to Bill? Did he molest you, Harry?” Rounding on her eldest, who was glaring at her, a livid expression on his face, she snarled, “What did you do to him, William?”“Fuck,” Charlie muttered, trying to shove Harry up the stairs to get him away. As angry as Harry was, something he really couldn't blame him for, and the coming ire from Bill, something easily readable on his face, he expected an explosion any minute. Shaking his head, he muttered to Lucius, Severus and Remus, who had come over to help him, Fred and George, “Get them out of here, now. Get an elf, something! This is bad.” The fact that Ginny's hands had vanished, something that was setting off plenty from the others, was enough to tell him that if his mother kept going, this was going to get plenty worse.“What did you do to him, William Weasley!” Molly snarled, advancing on her son.“Nothing I didn't want,” Harry shot right back, struggling to get loose.“It's none of your business, mum,” Bill snapped at her, grinding his teeth. He wanted to get Harry out of there as he was sure hell was coming if they didn't, but he was done. That was the last accusation he could take.“How dare you,” Molly thundered, leveling her wand at her son.Grabbing his mother's wrist, Charlie forced her wand away. “Don't, mum! You'll just make this all the worse if you do! Bill didn't hurt Harry and he sure as hell didn't molest him!”Yanking her arm away, Molly leveled her wand back at her eldest, “I did not raise you to molest teenage boys!”“He didn't molest me,” Harry shot right back, voice just below a shout in volume. “I wanted to be with Bill and have since I met him. That's not your business. None of what went on is your business. It's between the two of us. If you don't like it, you can piss off!”Severus was quite sure that what Potter was saying wasn't going to help a damned thing, but he could understand the impulse. He could easily feel his own bondmark heating up in a way he hadn't before, telling him that Fred and George were probably at about the end of what they could take as well. Stepping in front of Molly, hoping like hell that he could manage something before this ignited worse than what it already was, he snarled, “Stop it, Molly. This instant! You are helping nothing. Back off, get out of here and leave it until you can calm down and act like a person that has common sense.”Shoving Severus aside, Molly leveled her wand back at the furious looking Bill, who was glaring at her, “I blame you for this, William.”“Blame me all you want, mother,” Bill shot right back teeth grinding. “I don't rightly give a damn! Harry is right; I did nothing to hurt him, ever. I wouldn't. You should know that, but apparently don't.”Livid over Severus getting shoved, Fred ground out, making sure to stay in front of everyone so they could get Harry up the stairs, “He didn't. We knew what was going on because we passed letters between them.”“It isn't like they had time to do anything. You would figure that out if you thought about it,” George said, fingering his wand, glaring at his mother.Gripping his arm where the bondmark was, hissing at the heat from it, something that was damned close to what it felt like when getting summoned by the Dark Lord, Severus snarled then told Lucius, “Forget getting Potter out of here, we need them gone. Now.”“I'll do what I can,” Lucius assured him, summoning some elves to handle this nightmare.“Know what, mum?” The fuming Charlie said, glaring at her. He knew he should help get Harry out of here before this grew worse, but he was done as well. “Harry knows what that house is like. The four of us told him so he could watch out for what you lot where trying to pull. So, your act doesn't work anymore.”“That was not helpful, Charlie,” Arthur sighed as he tried to get his wife to back off. This was a nightmare that he didn't know how to handle. All he knew was that he needed all the factions separated before it grew worse.“I don't give a damn,” Charlie shot back at his father.Listening to Mrs. Weasley tell her son to shut up then start shrieking at Bill again, Draco's eyes narrowed. “Don't talk to Charlie like that,” he told her, stepping in front of Charlie. When she turned to focus on him, he told her, lifting his chin, “I'm not one of your children that you can bully or intimidate, so don't try.”Struggling against those that held onto him, Harry was so furious that he couldn't see or think straight. All he knew was that he was done. Glaring at Ron when he stepped closer, seeing him flushed in the way he got when he was angry, he snapped, “What? You want to start, too?”“You're a disgusting pouf then?” Ron asked, tone sneering. While he was Harry's friend, he wanted nothing to do with one of those kind.“Yeah, I'm a damned pouf,” Harry shouted above all the noise. “Get over it! If you don't like it, you don't have to be around me.” However, as he shouted the word pouf, Ron transfigured into a puffskein with the same color fur as his hair. Huffing, glaring at the poofy ball of fur, he snapped, “Quit being a bigot!”“It's not right, Harry,” Hermione huffed as she picked up the Ron puffskein. Holding it close, she began to rattle off the biblical passages that were purported to be condemning homosexuality.“Shut up, Hermione,” Harry snarled. “I don't want to hear that either.” As he said those words, Hermione stopped in mid-sentence, though her mouth kept moving as though she was still talking.Watching a now panicked Hermione making motions with her hands as her mouth moved with no sound coming out, while holding his now puffskein son, Arthur grabbed his shrieking wife. They needed to get out of here, now. Before something worse happened. Remus and Lucius were trying to help the gibbering Ginny and restore her hands while elves were popping up, presumably to get Molly out of here. He could understand that. “Molly, enough,” he said, voice far more determined than before. “We need to get out of here so we can tend to the kids.” That, of course, had no effect on his wife.“You're pathetic, do you know that?” Harry snarled, glaring at Mr. Weasley. “If you had done something besides let this go on and wring your hands, we wouldn't be dealing with this now. You tell Fred, George, Charlie and Bill that you love them, but never do anything to prove it. You just make the motions like you try then do nothing. That's worse than what my family did. At least they never pretended to care then took the easy way out. Doing that hurts worse than abuse!”Completely stunned, Arthur looked at Harry, mouth hanging open. No one, ever, had said anything to him like that before and he sure didn't expect Harry to!Pulling loose of her husband and using a spell on the elves that were tugging at her to get them off, Molly leveled her wand at Bill. “I blame you for this, William! All of it. You've poisoned poor Harry against all of us! Your lies have poisoned poor Harry's mind!”“Considering that I've heard it from four of your sons and seen it for myself, I don't think they are lies,” Harry snapped at her, completely done. He was through. “Why don't you just get the hell out of here until you can quit it and act like a real mother!” He shouted at her. As he did, she was blown backwards and through the front door, bowling over Dumbledore, Moody and a few others gathering there, before vanishing, presumably in the direction of the park.Silence descending, all but the heavy breathing from Harry, Sirius glanced at Bill, wide-eyed. Whatever that red and gold surrounding them was, it was flashing brightly, glittering and pulsing. Seeing an equally astonished look on Bill's face, Sirius slipped a hand under Harry's arm and said, softly, keeping a soothing, even tone, “Let's go upstairs, Harry. They have to tend to plenty.”Doing the same thing with the other arm, Bill told Harry, “It's fine. I think it's over for now. Let them figure out what some of this is and how to reverse it.” With that, he began taking steps backwards as Remus, who was shaking madly, tried to get rid of the wall that was there. If the man couldn't remove it, he would just have an elf take them upstairs.“I've had it,” Harry said, though his voice was softer and tone uneven. It was as though all the energy he had was drained out of his body and he was about to fall asleep. Trying to walk backwards, he shook his head then his eyes slid shut as he fell asleep, going limp as he did.“Shite,” Sirius mumbled as Harry started to drop. Casting a lightening charm on his godson as Bill held him upright, he said, “We need to get him up to our room.”“Go,” Lucius said, shooing them that way as he stepped closer. Glancing over his shoulder at the chaos that was now reigning from what happened, he said, “One of us will come up and get readings on him, but I'm damned sure it's just a bout of exhaustion from the magic.”Nodding to the man, Bill picked the sleeping Harry up then began to walk up the stairs as Remus finally got the wall removed. While this was horrible, he couldn't help but grin at it as well, though he tried to hide it. Leave it to Harry to get mad for him. That felt wonderful.Looking around, Sirius mumbled to Remus, “Fill us in when you get a chance.” Seeing his old friend nod, he then headed up the stairs as well. That was—damn!Watching Sirius and Bill go with Harry, Charlie stepped over closer to Fred and George as Albus tried to sort through what was wrong then said, trying not to grin, “I think we all need to get Harry something nice for what he just did. We've all wanted to say some of that to mum for years. Only he would actually do it.”“We do,” Fred told him, trying not to chuckle.“And will,” George added, watching Albus try to deal with the panicked Ginny and Hermione. “This was justice if there ever was any.”“Indeed, in a way none of us would have ever managed.” Fred told him, looking down to hide the expression on his face.“Something damned nice,” Charlie told them, turning his back on the scene and his now fretting father, trying to keep his shoulders from shaking at the laughter that he was desperately trying to suppress. Oh hell yes, Harry was getting something nice from all of them!
Stepping into the room Harry, Bill and Sirius shared after the door was opened, the first place Remus' gaze went to was Harry. The teenager was curled up on the bed, looking as though he were sleeping with his head in Bill's lap. Moving closer, he conjured chairs for him and Lucius then took a seat. Waiting for Sirius to move over to the bed then flop down, he asked, tone concerned, “Is Harry fine?”
“He's fine,” Sirius assured him with a nod. “Snape came up and did a couple scans on him when it started calming downstairs. He said he's just exhausted from the magical outbursts, nothing more than that.”“From what Severus told us, he should be fine come the morning. Maybe a bit tired, but nothing more than that,” Bill assured him, running his fingers through Harry's hair.“Good,” Lucius said with a sigh of relief, leaning back. “We were concerned, of course.”“It's all good, nothing to worry about,” Sirius told them. Looking between the two, he asked, tone hushed, “What's going on with the rest of the disaster that happened? Do you know?” As they had left as Albus was starting to sort the mess and only had what Snape said on the matter, which wasn't much, he wanted to know. Harry would probably feel plenty guilty over it in the morning, so he wanted the information.“It's not good, Sirius,” Remus told him, looking down and shaking his head. With a sigh, he explained, “Molly was hurt by what happened, but seems as though she's ignoring it. I'm sure the worst will hit her later when it comes to the pain once the adrenaline wears off. However, she can't get back inside the house. Albus has tried everything he can think of, but once she touches the wards, she gets thrown back into the park. For now, as there are more pressing matters, he's not focusing there.”“Really?” Bill asked, trying not to grin at that, knowing his mum had to be throwing the biggest wobbler anyone had seen by now since she couldn't come in and take it out on those she wanted to.“Oh, yes,” Lucius confirmed, trying not to smirk as he crossed his arms over his chest. Sobering up, he added, “The rest are the concern. Miss Granger seems to have experienced some kind of permanent Silencio because of what happened. She's at St. Mungos at the moment as Albus couldn't get it removed. He told us they should be able to reverse it, though it will take time.”“He couldn't get Ron transformed back, either. On that front, Minerva is taking a shot. She's sure she can manage. If she can't within 48 hours, he, too, will be taken to St. Mungos so they can sort it,” Remus pressed on. “Ginny is the worst, though. Albus tried, but he wasn't going to mess with that. So, she was the first to take the trip to St. Mungos. From what we've heard so far, nothing they are doing is working either. They can't get her hands back. They've tried regrowing them and all the other standard procedures, but it's not working. Albus thinks they are still there, but hidden in some way. St. Mungos will sort it.”Shaking his head, Sirius let out a snort, though he knew he shouldn't find it funny. Sighing after sobering up, he said, “We warned them.”“You did and so did the rest of us,” Lucius pointed out. “The Ministry was informed, but, as we have the documentation on the bond, what happened, what's been found, how they were all warned to stay away, all of it, they are calling it's a case of they brought it on themselves. So, Harry won't get in any trouble over it.” Lips quirking, he added, tone slightly amused, “Though he might get a reward for it. Fred, George and Charlie had a whip-round to buy him something nice for saying what they've all wanted to for so long. I do believe Draco and Narcissa kicked in some funds as well. As Draco put it, that was highly impressive.”Seeing Bill and Sirius grin a little, Remus added, “I think Lucius and I may have kicked in some money as well. Harry will get something nice out of it.” Sobering up, he added, “Make sure you both reassure him that this wasn't his fault. We get he was angry, but it was coming. Whatever manifested around the three of you, something we want to investigate further when he's up to it, drove this. Even Albus said that. So, it was a case of he did lose his temper, but he most certainly didn't do the damage to them.”“We'll make sure he knows,” Sirius assured him.Standing with a groan, Remus said, “We'll let you three rest. I'm sure you two are tired as well after that. If we hear anything that needs passed along, we'll let you know.” Seeing the two nod, he and Lucius left.Putting a hand on Harry's leg and rubbing it, Sirius glanced at his godson then sighed. Shaking his head, he told Bill, “I think a nap will do both of us good as well. I don't know about you, but I'm dead arse tired.”“I am as well,” Bill nodded.Standing with a groan, Sirius told him, “Let me go get changed then you can.” Seeing him nod, Sirius headed towards the loo.Looking down at the sleeping Harry, Bill smiled. “Thanks,” he whispered, though he knew Harry couldn't hear him. Over his life, no one, not even his father, had stood up for him against his mother. Ever. All just let it go or backed away. Only Harry had and it felt wonderful. Oh yes, he was adding money to that pot, that's for damned sure, and making sure Harry got something really nice out of it.
