The trip was silent. When we got back to class it was also silent. As I cleaned the room the pain in my chest started to make me breathless and I sobbed out several times. Snape was sat at his desk writing so I made no attempt to hide the pains. I spent the hour doing my end of week duties, the pains inside me causing me to sweat and pant.
“I'm done, sir.” I stood by his desk and dropped a small pile of papers at it's desk. He nodded and waved his hand for me to leave. All things considered he was remarkably calm, more so than I expected. He stood and left to his quarters, if tension was visible he'd have a thick aura surrounding him.
“You're never to skip my classes again Miss Granger.” He said and turned. “If you do, regardless of who has 'bullied' you, I won't hesitate to fire you.” He hissed, then left.
“F-fire me?” I whispered to no one. “Why do you have to do this?” My chest throbbed and I coughed before crumpling to the floor. “Feels like every time I get a bit better you bring me right back down again!” I yelled at the door that he just left through. “You keep telling me to be strong and move on but how?! How do I do that when you won't let me!” Gagging slightly around my words I started to claw at my hands again. “... I hate you.” I finished in a whimper. The blood rushing around my body caused my ears to ring as I tried to calm myself down. Everything hurt. I only managed to calm down when I decided that there was no point being happy because I crashed worse afterwards. It was best to just stay level, therefore it wouldn't hurt so much when it all turned to crap, again.
–Nine o'clock rolled around faster than I anticipated, I was meant to start rounds with Neville any minute but I couldn't bring myself to move. All I wanted to do was leave the castle and wallow in my own sorry world like I did for so long. At the same time though I really didn't, it was miserable and disgusting. This was proving to be too hard though, much too hard. There was a small knock at the door to the classroom that startled me out of my skin. Waiting for a while to see if anyone would enter or speak but they didn't.
“It's open.” I said as I stood, not wanting to be found on a heap on the floor. No one answered me so I went to open the door. No one was on the other side, all that I found was a floating paper bag with a note stuck to the top. I plucked it from mid air and read the parchment.
Miss Granger,I can't tell you how sorry I am for this afternoon.
Please take this with you to rounds.
~O. Mark.Opening the bag I found an array of snack foods. I smiled.“'Mione?” A familiar voice called. “I got worried when you didn't meet me so I came to find you.” I turned to greet Neville. As I did I saw his face pale a little. “Are you okay?” He asked, giving me a close inspection. “Your hand is bleeding.” Neville grabbed at my wrist and went to examine it. I yanked it from him.
“Sorry Neville, I was running a bit behind then I fell.” I dismissed his comment. “Come in a sec.” I motioned his head to follow me into the classroom while I cleaned and dressed my hand. I pulled out some slacks from under my desk and tugged off my tie. “Could you help me with this thing?” I pointed over my back at the ties. He looked at me, momentarily confused.
“You're changing here?” Neville looked around, as if Snape might be right there in the darkness, lurking.
“Yes, do you mind? I just want to change and get out of here.” He gave me a sad look and I turned around. Feeling Neville's hands on the corset ties.
“Draco told me all about it at dinner.” He uttered softly. “He's a prick 'Mione...” My corset loosened and sagged, I used magic to undo all the buttons at the front to step out of it.
“I know.” I shoved the garment under my desk in the box I retrieved my slacks. My voice cracked. “It's just been a bad day... In a bad week, of a bad year.” I started crying again softly, feeling utterly stupid for setting myself back off. His arms came around me from behind and his chin rested on my head. Neville didn't find the need to say anything, he just waited until my breathing went back to normal.
“It was the hardest on you, Hermione. No one realises that.” Is all he said before leaning against the desk beside me. The look on his face wasn't one of pity that I'd come to grow used to, but one of some unknown fierceness. “You didn't and still don't deserve any of what you got, but I firmly believe you can handle it, 'Mione. People said you wouldn't, they said you wouldn't last a year. Yet here you are, coping better than anyone really expected.” He smiled as he snooped into the bag that Professor Mark sent me. “In the end though it doesn't really matter what I say, you can either handle it or you can't, I'll never even consider you to be defeated though.” Handing me the bag he gave me a thoughtful stare. “If you need me though, I'm here. You're basically my sister.” Nervously, he scratched the back of his head. I leant in to give him a hug.
“Same to you... Bro.” I smirked against his neck. He laughed.
“We really need to go before we get found slacking off on your first night.” He walked to the door and hooked his arm out to take mine. “Madam?” he grinned. I smiled and took it, he lead me out to our first night together. We slowly munched our way through Professor Mark's snack bag, only catching two students making out in a small cubby. By the end of rounds I felt considerably better.
“Maybe I was just hungry.” I laughed as he dropped me off at the dungeons.“I was literally going to say the same thing.” He smiled before giving me a small hug. “Sleep well 'Mione. I'll see you tomorrow.” I waved him off.
It was eleven thirty and Snape was no where in sight. He might have been in his room but the apartment felt empty so it probably was. I took a moment to feel glad that I hadn't told him I hated him to his face earlier, it was an over reaction and I knew it. For all intents and purposes I didn't actually hate him, not really. I knew better than to judge him for his off days. Mine were way more frequent than his were and with much more ferocity. I would scream and cry, drink and ruin his nights and all he did was get angry sometimes. He handled it better than me and the shame of that was enough to straighten me out. I owed him for giving me this job and overseeing all my 'episodes'. I suppose it could have been a better situation but over all I was rather lucky that it wasn't much worse, and it could have been.I decided to do some of my assignment for tomorrow and ended up falling asleep at my desk.
–The alarm bell startled me, I flew back and off my chair onto a heap on the floor.“Urgh...” I rubbed my head. Crookshanks came to sit on my stomach. “Not now fella.” Shooing him off I got up to turn the noise off. The assignment on my desk was somewhat crumpled, when I looked I'd completed over half of it, about fifteen minutes of work should finish it. I was still wearing a hoodie and black jeans from the night before when I emerged from the bedroom. As I did, Snape was coming out of his hallway wearing only cotton pyjama bottoms and a head of rather unkempt hair. His eyes were filled with sleep and for the first time since living with him he actually looked human. Usually he was up before me but not today.
“G-good morning, Professor.” I mumbled and tried to avert my gaze from his lean lower stomach. My mind flashed to the feeling of him filling me from a few nights ago and my face flushed automatically. When I closed my eyes I heard him grunt some sort of reply. “Will you be dining in the Great Hall?” I asked, watching him lazily wipe sleep from his eyes. He looked really tired but more relaxed than he was last night.
“No, I don't attend breakfast on weekends.” He uttered and strolled casually into the kitchen. I still couldn't wrap my head around the sight of him today, so relaxed and well... Normal. Though considering I was living with him it was only a matter of time before I saw him act more casual. I debated following him into the kitchen and decided I'd best try to get along with him while he was in a good mood, holding grudges wasn't going to help anyone. I followed him and noticed him get to work on preparing himself breakfast. “Will you?” He asked without looking. I thought for a moment, staring at the skin of his back.
“Umm, no.” I answered when my head came back from the clouds. His head nodded slightly as he rifled in the fridge. I felt a bit dumb just stood there so I reached for the kettle and put it on. Slipping out to my room to shove my hair up in a messy bun and reach for my assignment before heading to sit at the kitchen table. I pulled my hood over my head and stared down at my work, scribbling away until I heard the kettle whistle and I made two mugs of tea, setting them on the table.
“Would you like almonds with your porridge?” He asked, surprising me.
“Umm, yes please.” I stared at him as he sprinkled some over my bowl and placing it at the corner of the table. After he placed his, he conjured a dressing gown to cover his torso before sitting and eating his. I tired to concentrate on my work but I could feel his eyes on me. I took a bite of porridge and groaned slightly, it was delicious. The porridge served in the great hall was always too sweet for me, like pure honey milk. This however was savoury, apple flavoured with the crunchy almonds. It was as though he read my mind. “You're really talented.” I whispered over a mouth full. When I looked at him he'd finished his bowl and was sipping his mug. He really did look relaxed. “I suppose it comes from your potions skill.” I finished, not really sure what I was getting at. There was a long pause.
“My mother taught me to cook.” The small personal detail surprised me a little, it was more than rare for him to speak about himself let alone anything else.
“Did you love her food?” I asked, trying to seem as casual as I could. Several moments went by as I wrote and I thought he wasn't going to reply.
“I did, very much.” Was all he offered. I spent a few minutes reflecting on my own past, how my mum would make an apple and cinnamon pie for me when things weren't great and it made everything better. The sadness that I'd never experience it ever again caused a small headache to come about.
“My mother used to make me an apple and cinnamon pie when I was upset... It made... Everything better again.” I shared, looking down into my bowl of almost finished porridge. I looked back at him, his expression was one I never expected and never thought I would see; surprise. It was mild but there none the less. Before I could grasp it, it was gone and he was looking at the clock.
“Our session today will start at ten thirty, meet me in my office with your assignment.” He gestured at my work sprawled out in front of me on the table. I nodded.
“Umm, thank you for the meal... Sir.” I added before he had the chance to leave, he nodded and disappeared towards the bathroom.
–The day was spent in the potions classroom, I managed to pay attention to it this time. I didn't exactly earn praises from the dark wizard but he didn't scold me either, so by the end of the day I figured I did a good job.“The headmistress informs me that your private chambers will be ready soon, there has been numerous delays.” Snape said while he marked the end of my work. I just nodded as I cleaned up my work station and started heading to dinner.
“Thank you for my lesson.” I said before grabbing my cloak from my desk.
–It was Sunday, the only day a week I got to myself. Last night, me and the boys made plans to meet up for lunch in diagon alley. Realistically I didn't think the boys would actually make it out of bed, but by lunch time it was me who was late. Somehow I managed to sleep through my seven o'clock daily alarm. When I emerged from the bedroom it was eleven in the morning and Snape was no where to be found.“Hermione! You're late.” Neville laughed as I found my way to their table.
“Yeah, point out the obvious, dear.” I muttered when I sat. “I slept through my alarm, I think I was way more tired than I initially thought...” I leant my face against the side of my hand on the table and closed my eyes.
“Here.” Draco offered. When I opened my eyes there sat a huge mug of coffee.
“Oh yes, thank you.” I took massive gulps.
“We thought perhaps Professor Bat had you scrubbing floors or something.” Malfoy added after a few minutes, nodding I replied.
“Nah, I couldn't find him when I woke--”
“Hey is that him?” Neville interjected. Following his gaze I spotted my mentor outside a pub just before he disappeared into an alley beside it. I frowned.
“You know I think it was, what's he doing here?” I whispered, mostly to myself.
“Who cares, he's probably doing some evil deed or another.” Draco offered simply. After which we continued to chat idly, well, they did. I spent most of my time glancing at the spot that Severus disappeared into, distracted by my questions.
We split ways at five in the afternoon after visiting a few selective shops. I hung around the town for a while, when the sun started to set I found myself stood outside of a bar. I won't have a drink. I thought to myself, wanting to be held by someone wasn't such a bad thing. No money either, just sex. Snape didn't say that I couldn't have just sex... Right? Right. I hid down the side of the bar to cast a quick glamour on myself, changing my appearance and making sure no one recognised me. My hair was still curly but darker when I caught my reflection in a small window. I was a bit smaller and slightly more plump than before, my eyes were blue and my features had all skewed slightly out of place. Satisfied that I wouldn't be recognised, I slipped into the bar.About forty five minutes I spent just sat there with a coke, proud that I managed to resist a drink and that was the hardest part. The chair next to mine squeaked as someone sat, glancing at the person I immediately recognised the hook nose peeking out of a mop of black hair. I looked back at my cup, pulling my hood tighter to my head in attempt to hide myself more and convinced he would see right through my disguise.
“Come on, how can I convince you to change your mind?” Came a silky voice, small hands slithered their way around the dark wizard from behind.
“Go away, Selena.” Snape gruffed and waved his hand at the bar tender.
“Oh c'mon baby, let me make you feel better again.” She purred into his ear, stroking at the buttons of his white shirt.
“Don't call me 'baby'.” He seethed. Taking a huge swig from his firewhiskey.
“What's wrong?” She pouted in a way that said 'I'm adorable' but it just looked stupid.
“These meetings between us are no longer helping me.” Snape said, shoving his shoulders back so her hands fell.
“I'm not satisfying you?” Her voice broke under the weight of her words.
“Not anymore.” Is all he replied with, causing Selena to cry slightly. She begged, assuring him that she could change. When he said nothing her anger spiked.
“I hope you rot!” Selena screamed before running towards one of the rooms to the back of the bar. Snape didn't even flinch at that, just continued to drink from his glass. I let the events sink in slowly, trying to make sense of the situation. It dawned on me like getting hit by a freight train. He was sleeping with that Selena woman? My anger swelled in my chest slightly. Snape was a hypocrite. I wondered how often he came and slept with her when I wasn't allowed to go near anyone. It made me feel a little sick to think that he might have slept with her right before bedding me.
“You look out of place.” He said beside me. I thought at first he was talking to someone else but when I looked I found him staring right at me.
“E-excuse me?” I stammered, mentally cursing at my lack of confidence. At this rate he was bound to figure out who I was.
“Why are you here?” Questioned the potions master. Some moments passed as I stared into my glass.
“Looking to get laid.” I admitted, figuring that he would never meet this version of me ever again therefore there was no reason to lie. I took a swig of drink. He smirked next to me.
“Well, you're honest.” He downed the last of his drink and stood up. “Do yourself a favour and go home, girl. The men in here will rip you apart.” He started to walk away.
“I hope so.” I whispered to myself as I took another drink. Strongly considering ordering an alcoholic beverage at this point. Snape turned slowly to face me but I just ignored him.
“Come with me.” His hand came around my upper arm and pulled me up, I yelped my surprise. He dragged me out of the bar and down a series of roads, stopping in a small alcove down an alley and behind a building. The second we stopped he turned me and shoved my chest against the wet wall, I flinched when my head bumped against the surface. “I can't be gentle.” He growled in my ear. My hips automatically thrusting backwards into his pelvis.
“Fine with me.” I panted. The situation reminded me of our first time together and that got me so very excited. It didn't dawn on me before quite how badly I wanted this, with him.”Fuck me.” I pleaded and wiggled my hips some more. I knew we were outside and it was starting to rain but I didn't care. He pushed my cloak to the side and shoved up my skirt, quite literally grating my chest against the stone. I didn't have time to register that my breasts would bruise before he ripped my underwear clean off me. He reached between my legs to fondle with my lips for a few seconds. My breaths were frantic but I wasn't even slightly distressed like I was last time, perhaps I was more prepared. Within a few seconds he'd undone his fly and shoved with more force than I was anticipating, into me. I squealed at the intrusion, my inner walls pulsing around the large object. When he started moving I was lost to the world, his thrusts weren't as careful as they were when he was with the real me, these were full of need, need to release and I was more than happy to help him. An unfamiliar tension pooled in my groin that I couldn't place, I'd only felt it one other time and that was when I was in this situation with him before. Maybe this was it, an orgasm that I'd never before experienced, but after I started thinking about it the feeling faded and I found myself frustrated.
“If you want to cum, do it... Soon...” He growled as his thrusts spiked faster into me, his grip knotted my hair. I concentrated on trying to find that blissful tense feeling from before but it was gone. The pleasure from his pummelling was more intense than I was used to and my body twitched with every jab to my insides. I wanted him to keep going forever, the almost unbearable full feeling of his length completing me somehow. I shoved my hips back to take more of him into me. The wizard growled hoarsely and went rigid. “Hermione...” He groaned so softly I thought I was dreaming. It was my turn to go rigid all over as he emptied inside me, stretching me with every pump. The world suddenly came crashing into view at his last word, my name. Shit! I panicked, he knew it was me. Snape slumped against my back and panted slowly along with me for a few seconds before pulling out and righting his clothes. Straightening myself out, I couldn't look at him and just waited for his wrath. It never came.
“Get home.” Is all he said before disappearing. My shock didn't wear off for a while, I simply stood there staring at the wall. The spitting rain drenched my hair while I thought, clutching my bruised chest. He'd said my name yet didn't call me out, what did that mean? Does he not know it was me? Then why would he say my name unless... He was thinking of me. My face flushed a dark shade of red. Oh God. I buried my face in my hands and decided now would be a good time to go back to Hogwarts, this was too much information for one day.
~~**~~**~~I wasn't kidding, I post this right after the last one. You're all so lucky!Sorry for errors or if it's just generally crap or disappointing. I think I finally know where I'm headed with this now! Yey for insiration!
