Harry heard Astoria scream from across the hall. He ran quickly to the sound of her voice. When he entered the room a awful site met his eyes. Draco was cradling his son, Scorpius to his chest. The boy was completely naked and covered with blood. Astoria was knelt over them, her wand out as she weaved a healing spell.
“Astoria!” Harry said approaching the three Malfoys. “Can you appreate to the hospital from here?”
“Yes.” She said hurriedly, focusing her attention on her son. “I need to stop the blood before I move him.”
“I think that is who you are looking for Potter.” Draco said nodding his head to the corner. Harry looked over to find a second boy, also without close, laying on the floor stiff as a board. This boy was only covered with blood in one area. Harry’s heart dropped. He looked back over at the boy in Draco Malfoy’s arms. He had never felt this type of pity for a Malfoy before.
“Draco. We have to go now! NOW!” Astoria shouted. She reached down to touch bother her husband and son. With a quiet pop they were gone.
Harry stared into the puddle of blood which was left behind. There was so much blood. He looked once more at the boy in the corner. He recognized him as a quidditch teammate of his younger son Albus. The boy’s surname escaped him, but Albus spoke of him often and he knew his name was Vincent. Harry was in no hurry to release the boy from his current state. Instead, he reached over to the bed where the boy had left his clothes and a bag. Upon further inspection, he discovered that the clothes consisted of a short skirt and what would have been a revealing shirt. Looking inside the bag he found a small flask and a set of keys with a number “2” engraved on them.
This then was the wizard who had murdered Amanda Tauber. “You have a lot to answer for.” Harry said to the boy. “Expecto patronum.” A white stag erupted from the end of his wand. “Ron, I’m at Malfoy Manor. Somethings happened. There are a lot of frightened people here. I need your help. I’m going to try to take down Malfoy’s barriers to let you in.” He spoke to the patronus before waving his wand and sending it out of the manor through the thick stone walls.
Harry took a blanket from the bed to cover Vincent’s naked body. Not because he felt bad for him, but because he would rather not think about what the boy had done with his bloody manhood. As he pulled the blanket from the bed he noticed a small envelope tucked under a pillow. It was addressed to Albus S. Potter.
This struck Harry as very odd indeed. Why was anyone in the Malfoy household communicating with his son? He pocketed the letter and left the room, but not before adding extra immobilization spells to those already placed on the perpetrator.
“So you are telling me that that boy killed Tauber to sneak into the Malfoy Christmas party so that he could have his way with Scorpius Malfoy?”“That is the only story I have.” Harry admitted to Ron. “It’s all I can come up with right now.”
Ron Weasley had arrived no more than 5 minutes after Harry had sent the patronus. Soon after, other ministry officials arrived to escort the party goers away from the manor after they had been questioned. The boy, Vincent, would be taken to and held at the ministry for the time being until he could receive a hearing.
“Do you know anything about Malfoy’s son?” Harry asked Ron.
“He is friends with Rose.” Ron said with a hint of disgust in his voice. “She has never had any problems with him. From what she tells me he is actually a decently nice little git. I don’t think he would make too many enemies. Which is good considering how many his dear father must have.”
“That is what I’m afraid of.” Harry said thoughtfully.
“Harry, just because Malfoy’s son got it up the ass a little too hard, does not mean there will be another uprising.” Ron said mater-o-fact.
Harry was not so convinced. Informants from the underworld had begun to whisper more frequently in the last few weeks. It was the same each time that an uprising occurred. Witches and wizards still loyal to Lord Voldemort, even after his demise would take up arms every few years. Each time they caused small amounts of devastation until the ministry could catch up with them. It had been far too long since the last uprising, almost as if the dark side was saving their energy for a large scale attack.
“Mr. Potter, the site is clear.” Said a tall wizard.
“Thank you Blake.” Harry replied.
“You going to be okay Harry?”
“Yeah Ron. I’ll see you later okay? Go home and get some sleep.”
“You sleeping over Malfoy’s?” Ron said jokingly.
“I just want to see if I can find anything else.”
“Okay, just don’t waste too much time, this seems like an isolated incidence to me.” Ron said rubbing his eyes sleepily. “Plus if you don’t get back soon Ginny will be at my door asking where you went.”
Once Ron had left, Harry removed the envelope from his pocket. He read the name once more, checking that he had not misread it. He had not. Albus S. Potter was scribbled on the envelope in messy handwriting. He opened the letter, breaking the wax seal as he did so.
Hi Alby!
I did it! I told my mum and dad about me. They were okay with it! Not even mad. Can you believe it! I’m so excited. I did not tell them that we are together yet. I was afraid to tell them everything all at once.
Also, I did not say anything about Vincent. It’s not important anymore.
One more thing: I’m going to be a big brother! My mom is pregnant!
Sorry this letter is so short. I have to get to bed to get ready for the party tomorrow.
I miss you so much Alby! I can’t wait to see you again. I hope your family is well. Please tell Rose I said hello.
With Love,
Scor
Harry reread the letter serval times. He dwelled on “I did not tell them we are together yet”. Harry Potter needed answers. He appreated and reappeared outside of his younger son’s bedroom door.
“Albus!” A voice spoke, waking him suddenly from his restful sleep. “Albus, wake up.” His bedroom light turned on, momentarily blinding him.
“Dad, what’s going on? Are you okay?” Albus asked worriedly as he sat up in bed.
“I need you to be very honest with me right now, it is important that you tell me the truth.” Harry said seriously as he sat at the bottom of his son’s bed. Albus simply nodded his head. “Are you in some type of relationship with Scorpius Malfoy?”
“Oh shit.” Albus said aloud. “Dad I was going to tell you, really I was. I was waiting for Scorpius to tell his dad first!” He pleaded with his father.
“Get your jacket on.” Harry demanded quickly standing from the bed. “We need to go.” Albus had no idea what was going on. His mind was moving quickly to thousands of different thoughts. He searched his father’s face for clues, but Harry’s face was completely unreadable. Albus had never experienced something like this before. His father was telling him to get dressed at 3 A.M. They were going somewhere?
“Dad, I pretty much just told you that Scorpius Malfoy is my boyfriend.” Albus repeated, unsure if his father had correctly processed the information.
“We will talk about it later Albus.” Harry said firmly. “Get your jacket and shoes.” Without delay he got dressed. Harry held out his arm to Albus.
The pair arrived with a pop outside of Saint Mungos.“Dad? Why are we here?” Albus asked shakily as they walked briskly towards the entrance.
“We will talk on the way down.”
“Mr. Potter!” The witch at the front desk addressed them.
“What room is Malfoy in?”
“723.” She answered almost as quickly as Harry had asked. “But he is not in the state for visitors right now.”
Harry ignored her and walked into the nearest elevator. Albus followed quickly at his tail. “Dad! What’s going on?” He shouted.
“Scorpius was-“ Harry paused, watching the terror spread across his son’s face. “I think he was raped. He lost a lot of blood. It’s pretty bad Al.”
“Can they fix him?!” Albus said. His legs suddenly collapsed under him and he fell to the floor. Harry knelt down next to his son to help him back to his feet.
“I don’t know, but if they can’t, I wanted you to have a chance to-“
“To say good bye?” Albus said painfully as though the sentence had been ripped from his soul.
“This is the floor.”
Albus did not wait for his father, he sprinted out of the elevator and turned towards room 723. Why did it have to be at the end of the hall? He made it to the door and flung himself inside, hurling himself past the healers standing in the doorway.
“Scor!” He cried running over to the crumpled blond figure laying in the hospital be before him. He ran his hand over the other boy’s face searching for signs of life. “Scor! No, please Scor no!”
“You can’t be in here.” Said a man’s voice. He felt strong hands grasp his arms and try to pull him away from the bed.
“No, I can’t leave him!” Albus said wildly as he held on to the side of the bed. “Score wake up!” Tears poured down his face. Was this even real? If not it had to be the worst dream he had ever had. The strong hands finally managed to pull him off of the bed and away from Scorpius.
“It’s okay Barbus!” Said a woman’s voice. “Let him go, he can stay!”
Albus did not even bother to look at the woman, he flew back to Scorpius’s side. He leaned down over the other boy, cupping the bruised face in his shaky hands as he placed a soft teary kiss on the cold forehead. Albus felt a skinny arm surround his waste and a hand being softly placed on his chest above his heart.
“Don’t cry sweet boy.” Said the woman’s voice. “We stopped the bleeding in time. He will live.” Albus looked over at the woman standing next to him. She had soft brown hair and pale eyes. She looked to be about the age of his mother and was quite beautiful even though her eyes were also swollen from crying. This must be Scorpius’s mother, Astoria. Albus turned his body to her and they held each other in a tight hug.
