x"So, are you expected at the burrow tonight?" Severus asks.
"Yes, but I would like you to come with me or I'm not going" Harry said enjoying the close feeling.
Severus sighs, "Have you by chance told either Molly or Arthur about our courtship and engagement? Or will this be a complete surprise?" He asks

"Yea, we kept it quiet. It was her idea to court you" He smiled. "I don't think I would've had the courage without her, she has no clue how amazing she is" Harry said sighing.
Severus frowns, "Well, then I suppose we'll have to go and hopefully the Christmas cheer will soften the blow so to speak." He says. " In which case we need to stop in Hogsmeade on our way out. "
"I think there will be less surprise than you think. Ron is the only one I see having an issue, maybe Ginny because of her crush on me, but everyone else may surprise you." Harry said casting tempus. "We should get ready if we need to go to Hogsmeade too" Harry said shifting to stand up.
Severus nods, "Yes we do, I'm absolutely not going to my fiancé's families Christmas dinner empty handed." He says.
"Meeting the parents huh?" Harry said and then blushed brightly. "Sorry" he said realizing how that sounded.
Severus shrugs, "I suppose I should have expected it, I know that family loves you as one of their own. Well let's gets suitably dressed and head out then."
It wasn't long before they apparated just outside of the burrow. "Don't give it away yet ok Love. Hands off until I can get everyone in the same space, it won't take long" Harry said as they walked side by side up to the house, smelling the cooking from the moment the apparated.
Severus nods, " I'll have the utmost decorum don't worry. He had gotten gifts for Harry's friends and the Weasley family also procuring a good bottle of wine to go with dinner. The door opened and Harry was engulfed in a hug from Molly Weasley. Soon after Arthur gave his normal pat on the back and everyone in the house heard Harry's name and came running from wherever they were. Once Harry had said his hellos, all the attention focused on Severus. "Hey mate, why the bloody hell is Snape here?" Ron said what everyone had been thinking. Harry waved Severus to his side. He grabbed his left hand and held it out. "He is my fiancé" Harry announced.
Severus flushes and nods and Molly Weasley shrieks. He braces himself for a tirade when he's engulfed in a hug by the matriarch of the family, "Welcome to the family!" She says and a very surprised Severus pats her back slowly and when she releases him says "I brought wine." And holds out the bottle to her. "Oh, thank you Severus dear, that's will be perfect." She says taking it.
Harry held Severus's hand as Hermione just smiled watching. Ron still hadn't said a word. It seemed to be totally fine with everyone else. Hermione approached the two. "Harry, Professor, I'm so happy for you two." She said looking like she might cry. "WHAT?" Ron raised his voice and made all of them jump. Hermione jumped into action casting langlock to shut him up and pulling him towards the stairs. "He'll be fine" Harry said to Severus. "You ok? You seem to be a bit in shock Love" Harry said
Severus nods, "I am in shock, despite what you said I expected, well... Not this. " He says
"They like taking in weirdos like us." Harry said giving Sev an elbow. Dinner was served that night and everyone at the table saw Severus smile. Harry was so proud of how comfortable he became. "Yes, that's true" Harry said pouring them a drink "But that whole family knows that I may have a body of a 16-year-old but that I'm really much older" He said bringing the drinks to the sofa and setting down. "They know they can't understand what I've been through and they don't try to, the respect my decisions and always have." He said
Severus nods, "I can see that. I'm infinitely glad for it. " He says
Harry got settled under Severus's arm with his glass. "Thank you for such a wonderful Christmas Love" Harry said.

Last night in the castle Harry thought. "Are you sure you're ok leaving? You have lived here much longer than I have" Harry said taking a sip of the fire whiskey.
Severus nods, "Part of me will miss the castle herself. But I'm ready to move on, she'll still be here if I ever decide to return." He says.
"You're right. It is time to start over." Harry said
Severus nods, " I'm very much looking forward to starting over with you. " He says and kisses Harry temple. "So, what do you think Albus's reaction will be once he discovers we've gone?" He asks with a snicker.
Harry smiled trying not to laugh at the thought of that old man being caught off guard. "Honestly, he may set off to find us" Harry said with a chuckle, "Letting both of his two "favorite" students go would devastate him I'm sure" Harry took a drink and resettled a bit. "Who do you think will replace you as potions teacher?" Harry asked
Severus shrugs," I don't know but when I send my resignation letter, I'll include a few names of reputable potions masters." He says.
Harry finished his drink and sat up to put his glass on the table. "Let's make our last night here special" he said gripping Severus's' hand slightly and gazing into those eyes he loved so much.
Severus smiles and pull Harry's hand to his lips kissing the back of it. " And how do you suggest we do that my Love?" He asks.
