I do not own any of the characters or places from the Harry Potter books or films. They all belong to J.K. Rowling. All that is mine is Sky, the houses in the wall and the plot. Oh, and the wand is mine too. I am not making any money from the writing of this story.
No One Comes When You Cry
Thanks to my beta; pittwitch for making this readable.
Hi all. Yeah, that curse was pretty 'icky' I know. Shows what a sick imagination i’ve got. Please keep enjoying. I’ve got serious block at the moment so I’m working on another story at the moment. Will make it back to this one eventually. Still got plenty of chapters to keep you all going, poor pittwitch has her work cut out with me, but she still does a brilliant job.

Chapter 15 Awakenings
Severus felt stiff and achy. He allowed his eyes to wander round the room. Not recognising anything, he became wary. Where was he? Nothing looked familiar to him. Turning his head he felt a slight twinge in his neck, as though he was unused to doing so. Trying to sit up was harder. Using his hands to push himself to a sitting position, he got a better view of the room.
The sight of Sky’s wand on the beside alerted him to where he was.
‘The wall, I’m in the wall house ... her house. But how? Why?’
His throat was parched and he needed a drink before he could think properly.
Severus pushed back the covers and was shocked to discover he was naked. He pulled the sheet back over his lower half.
‘So I am in Sky’s home ... naked. Presumably she is here somewhere.’
But his thirst overruled his thoughts, and he tried to stand, only to waver and fall back onto the bed.
‘Dammit.’ “Sky? Are you there?”
When he got no reply he tried again to stand, this time grabbing hold of the bedpost so he wouldn’t fall back. His legs and arms shook with the effort of staying on his feet, but Severus Snape, strong willed and stubborn, he refused to give in to his body’s urge to collapse back on the bed.
Holding tight to the footboard, he managed to make his way to the dressing table. From there he made his way to the large wardrobe and grasped the door handle while leaning against the door for support. The shaking eased a little but he ached everywhere and wondered how long he had been in that bed. It felt like it must have been days.
On opening the door, he was pleased to find his wand , robes and some clean underwear waiting for him.
Taking his wand, he used magic to dress himself in shirt and slacks and slowly made his way through to the living room. The short journey exhausted him and he had to sit for a while before he could summon up the energy to explore further. The first door he tried would not open. No amount of tugging or wand waving would make it budge. The second door proved more fruitful, though it took him a while to find and figure out how to use the food cabinet. Eventually, he managed to get himself settled on the living room sofa with his feet up, a pot of tea and some toast on the table beside him.
Leaning over and picking up the pot to pour his tea, he jumped and almost dropped it when Sky barged through the door he’d been unable to open, slamming it behind her. He was incredulous when she marched straight past him.
Sky, as was her usual fashion when she was really angry or upset, marched from room to room, banging doors and chuntering to herself as she went. Three times, she railed passed him as if he wasn’t there.
It was on her third trip into the bedroom that she froze and realised the bed was empty.
The covers were thrown back haphazardly. The wardrobe door was left open. His clothes and wand were missing.
“Severus. “ She called. “Severus, where are you?”
“I am in the living room.”
Sky stepped into the room to see him settled back on the sofa drinking tea and eating toast.
“Severus.” She squealed.
“Were you expecting someone else by any chance?”
“What? No. I …I just didn’t expect … you were sleeping and I thought …how long have you been out of bed?”
I’m not sure. About half an hour. Where have you been to put you in the foul mood you came back with?”
“With your idiotic Headmaster. That’s where. But never mind that. Are you alright? You shouldn’t be out of bed yet.”
“I’m fine. Just a bit stiff. It’s only to be expected after several days in bed. I assume it was several days. My joints certainly feel like it was that long.”
“Erm no, not several days exactly.”
His eyebrows rose in surprise. “You mean I have been here a week? And why am I here? I cannot recall yet what happened. My mind is somewhat hazy at the moment.”
Sky sat in the chair to face him. “Severus, you have been here for four weeks, not one. You were almost dead when I found you.”
This time Severus’ eyes widened and his jaw dropped almost to his knees.
“Four weeks? I have been here four weeks? But why? What happened that would leave me unconscious for that amount of time?”
Sky was weary and wary after her showdown with the Headmaster. “Severus. It would be easier if I could show you. Do you mind?”
“If you prefer.” He aimed his wand. “Legillimens.”
Sky showed him her memories from the moment she awoke with the knowledge that something was wrong, to bringing him back to her home. He watched with fascination as she performed the dark blood magic along with the other healing, the colour of his skin, the shreds of flesh hanging from his back. The Dark Lord really went to town on him. He saw the potions and suaves she administered; the almost constant vigil she kept over him as she treated him at regular intervals through the day and night. He watched how she took care to clean every part of his body, working the muscles and exercising his limbs, even when she looked so exhausted she was almost asleep on her feet. Severus saw everything until he came to her meeting with the Headmaster this morning.
That was when Sky decided he’d seen enough. It would have been cruel to let him see Albus’ insensitive reaction to what she told him.
“That’s enough, Severus, I’m tired.”
But Severus was too shocked by what he had seen to notice she had forced him from her mind. “Bloody hell.” He muttered. “Sky? What was the curse you removed from me? That ritual you performed, it was dark magic. But not one I have ever heard of.”
She sighed. “Just promise me you won’t go off the deep end and start shouting if I tell you.”
“I can promise nothing. But after what you have done, for me, I cannot imagine that I would want to shout at you. Tell me what it was. I do not remember.”
“You wouldn’t You were almost dead when he cast it.”
“Who? The Dark Lord?”
“Yeah. Voldemort. It was ‘Mors ab gangraena‘.” She told him quietly.
Once again, his eyes widened. “But it can’t have been. No one …”
“Severus, obviously someone does or he wouldn’t have used it on you.”
“But there is no cure for it, not for that spell. There never has been.”
“Really? Then what I did was a waste of time because you’re dead.”
“There is no need for sarcasm. I was merely stating that you must have been mistaken about the curse.”
Sky was getting really fed up now. She jumped to her feet and pulled down the book she used when she performed the healing, and slammed it onto his knees.
“Oof.” He exclaimed.
“Fine, read page 749. Then tell me I was mistaken. I’m going for a lie down.”
She flounced from the room one more time and threw herself onto the unmade bed.
‘How dare he?’ She thought. ‘Why does everyone doubt what I say? I’m not in the habit of lying.’
“I am so sorry.” Severus was standing in the bedroom doorway.
“Oh, so you believe the book then but you can’t believe me.”
“I have not looked at the book yet. I am sorry for doubting you, especially after what you have done for me. You took me by surprise that was all.”
“Is this what the Founders have been teaching you all this time?”
He strode in unsteadily and sat on the bed beside her.
“No.” She told him. “Only Sal, he was the first to tutor me. I had six months with each of them. But the lessons were intense. I rarely had a day off. There was no need. There was nowhere to go and no one to visit. They were my family. Sal too was a descendant of the Original, just not quite as close as I am. But he knew the rituals that were passed down. He taught them to me, along with other things.”
“So you are related to Salazar Slytherin?”
“I suppose I am. I didn’t think of that.”
“And what else did he teach you?”
“Potions, The Dark Arts. Some history of magic. Though from him it was mostly ancient magical history. The others all took a share in that when I was with them. He also taught me charms. Though his were the darker ones. The regular charms came later.”
As they laid on the bed, she told him about her lessons and the levels the Founders taught her to master.
“Well to say that I am envious of you would be an understatement. “
“Don’t be. Don’t get me wrong. I love Sal and Rowena, Godric and Helga. But I missed out on other things: Friends my age, others I could touch or share secrets with, learn and grow with.”
“I was referring to your education. But you are right. You have missed out on many things. If you were to come stay at the school you could experience some of that. With the older students. They are not that much younger then you.”
“No they‘re not. But I feel much older than them. It’s too late now. Besides, I didn’t feel comfortable there. And there’s still the problem of him.”
“Him who?”
“Voldemort. He has to be stopped.”
“Yes. Well I am working on that.”
“Not any more you’re not.”
Severus looked at her incredulously. “What do you mean I’m not? I have no choice. There is no other way of getting information if I do not go.”
“He already thinks you’re dead, Severus. If you go back, he’ll not make the same mistake again. There is another way.”
He rolled onto his side to look at her. “No there is not. Do you think I would have done what I have if there was?”
“How do you think I know what you get up to when I’m not with you? How do you think I found you when they left you out on the hills? It’s not only you I can see and hear Severus.”
He remembered her going to the mirror when she climbed out of bed before she rescued him. Rolling off the bed, he made his way to the mirror.
“So this mirror has certain …magical abilities? You can see whomever you wish through it? How does it work?”
“Not the mirror. It’s just a plain ordinary mirror.”
“But I saw you. You looked in it before you went to find me.”
“Yes. But any mirror will do, any reflective surface. It’s my wand and stone that lets me see, not the mirror itself.”
“Show me.”
“What? Now?”
“Now. The mirror in the living room is bigger. Show me in there.”
Sky followed him to the living room and stood beside him in front of the mirror.
“You want to see him? Voldemort?”
“Merlin no, someone else. Albus.”
“Okay.” She sighed. Pointing her wand at the reflection of her stone, she thought of the Headmaster. It was easy now. She didn’t have to concentrate. He immediately came into view, sitting behind his desk and writing something on a parchment. He was humming to himself.
“I can hear him.”
Sky nodded.
“Can he hear us?” He whispered.
“No, at least I don’t think so.”
“So you don’t know?”
“You never heard me did you?”
“No I did not. But have you tried?”
“Well no but …”
“So try now.”
“But I don’t know what to say. Stand behind me and put your hand over my wand hand. If this works you can talk to him.”
Severus moved behind her, standing close, much like he had that summer when he was showing her how to make bubbles with his wand. He took her elbow and slid his hand down to hers, slowly. His eyes were locked to hers in the mirror and he saw hers darken slightly as a slight flush came to her face.
“Shall we?” He purred into her ear and was rewarded with a small shiver from her.
Her hand trembled slightly as she tried to think about what she was supposed to be doing while her body was reacting to his closeness.
“Talk to him.” Her voice was husky and Severus knew why.
“Albus, can you hear me?”
The Headmaster’s head shot up, looking around, trying to locate the voice.
“Who’s there?”
“It is I, Headmaster.”
“Severus? Where are you? Why can I not see you?” Albus’ eyes were searching the room, looking closely at the portraits.
“Because I am not there. But I can see and hear you. It‘s amazing.”
“Then where are you? Are you returning today? I really need you back here.”
“I shall be returning. But not yet.” Then with a smirk he added. “At least not until my healer tells me that I am well enough.”
“Your healer? You mean the girl? Is she there with you? Severus, come back now. Bring her with you. I need to speak with her. I said some things this morning that she may have misunderstood. Can you persuade her to come?”
Sky was shaking her head madly at the Headmaster’s suggestion.
“Judging by her temper when she returned from your office this morning, I do not think now would be a good time, Albus. And I am definitely not well enough to return as yet, in a week perhaps.”
Actually, Severus was rapidly feeling better as the day progressed.
He was just tired and a little achy and hoped he did not need another week. But he wanted to spend some time here with Sky. There was so much he did not know about her; and this strange house, the books, the door she used.
“Very well Severus. But you will return as soon as you are able? And please try to persuade her to come and see me. I wish to apologise to her.”
“I will do my best Albus. Goodbye.”
Sky lowered her wand and broke the connection.
But Severus did not break his. He kept his hand on hers, bringing his other around her waist, lowering his head until his lips were on her head.
Sky could feel a warmth spread through her body. Then, she remembered the last time he held her this way and moved away from him quickly.
“Something I said?” He wanted to know.
“No, but the last time you did that you … well I ended up flat on my face.”
Severus pulled her back into his arms. “I know. And what I did was wrong, so very wrong. It shall not happen again. I promise. I just want to hold you, nothing more.”
She was nervous, but forced herself to stay where she was, expecting at any moment to be shoved away, but Severus did not push her away. He simply held her close, willing to hold her for as long as it took for her to realise that he would not harm her.
After several long minutes, he could feel her body begin to relax. His hand stroked tenderly up and down her back, his other hand against her head, Pressing her cheek to his shoulder while his fingers wound through her hair. Sky hesitantly brought her hands up and put them round his waist. She like this, being held in someone’s arms, being close to someone, being close to him.
It was difficult, having to restrain himself. He could feel his trousers tightening at her nearness and if they kept this up he would not be able to control himself.
“Sky.” He said softly as he took her by the shoulders and stepped back. “We must stop now. I …cannot hold you like this for too long.”
She looked hurt, confused.
“Not because I do not want to. I do, more then anything in this world. But it is difficult not to …I want you Sky. And if I hold you any longer I will not be able to stop myself.”
His eyes flicked toward the obvious tent in his trousers.
When Sky saw it she turned beet red. “Oh.”
“I am going for a shower. Fortunately for you, I am not yet recovered enough to give this justice. Where is the bathroom?”
Sky couldn’t speak and merely pointed to the bedroom, her eyes still fixed to the tent in his trousers.
He could not keep the smile from his face when he turned away from her and headed for the bedroom.
It felt nice to be under the hot spray. Sky had done a marvellous job of keeping him clean, but it was not the same as having a proper shower. Though the thought of her hands having free access to his body all that time and washing places that only he would normally touch, running her fingers over his chest, his balls, his prick, got him hard again.
“Shit.” He growled. Severus didn’t even have the strength left to relieve himself, so he turned the water to cold and stood hoping the freezing spray would cool his ardour.
It took a good ten minutes before it went down and he was able to step out. All he wanted to do now was to collapse on the bed and go to sleep. After a quick drying spell, he padded back to the bedroom and was asleep in the bed within minutes.
Sky managed to control her embarrassment. ‘It’s not as if I haven’t already seen everything.’ She told herself. ‘I’ve seen what he does with it on the mirror. And it got hard plenty of times when I washed him.’
‘So why am I bothered now?’ ‘The time we kissed, he was hard then too.’
The reason she decided, was because they were both aware of why this time. When he was unconscious, he had no control over what happened to him. This time they both caused his reaction. And it wasn’t only his body that reacted. Hers did too. Her nipples had gone hard. She got the most delicious tingles in her belly which spread outward in a cascade of pleasure until they reached her very core. She was wet and hot between her legs and could feel an uncontrollable throb down there.
Sky thought if he had pushed her, just that little bit more that she would have given in.
When he didn’t return after the water stopped running, she went to check on him.
Seeing him laid asleep in her bed did nothing to help the feelings that were still coursing through her.
But it would be a while before he was ready to do much of anything and she assumed it would need a fair amount of energy to do what they both wanted.
Sky flushed. ‘Had she just admitted to herself that she did indeed want him?’ She studied him from the doorway. She thought about his voice, how deep and sensuous it could be, how compelling; his eyes, deep, intense; like he could see into her very soul. Then, there was his mouth, wide and sensual, his hands too. When his fingers touched her, it was like fire burning through her skin.
Her eyes darkened as her desire flared once more, the stone at her throat glowing with a matching intensity.
Had Severus been awake and seen the look in her eyes he would not have held back. No matter how weak he felt, he would not have been able to stop himself from taking her.
For the next week, both tried to keep a certain distance from each other as the Potions Master slowly recovered.
Never in his life had he been able to relax like this: no students to give him a headache; no Albus to send him on stupid errands; no homework to mark; just him and Sky; although he was finding it more and more difficult not to seduce her.
For the first couple of days, she would go through the door and practice her lessons alone while he sprawled on the sofa, greedily devouring all he could from her book collection; books he could never hope to find anywhere else.
Then she began to leave the door open so he could come and watch her if he wished.
The door, as well as acting as a portal to anywhere she wished to be, also acted in the same way as Hogwarts room of requirement.
Whatever it was she wished to do, the room would fulfil that requirement.
When he saw her potions lab Severus was literally green with envy and told her so.
“You have ingredients in here that have been none existent for centuries. Some are thought to be merely mythical. Have you had access to these since you came here?”
“Hm hmm.”
Sky was concentrating on her potion and wasn’t really listening.
Severus was amazed at her skill as she chopped and shredded, ground and sliced, mulched and powdered. Her skills in potions easily matched his, possibly even excelled them.
He watched her practice defence. She was fast and nimble. Her wand and stone worked along with her in everything she did.
When she began to practice her dark arts, Severus was overwhelmed.
She knew spells and hexes he did not even know. He doubted Albus knew of half of them.
Her charms work exceeded anything he was ever taught and her dark charms, Severus was stunned as he watched her perform the most amazingly grotesque charms imaginable. He decided he would spend a couple more days studying her books.
On Friday when Sky headed down to practice her transfiguration, Severus told her he was tired and was going to settle on the sofa with a book. As soon as she went through the door, he grabbed a stack of books, placed them on the table next to the sofa and went to get himself a pot of tea. Once he was settled, Severus began to rifle through the books. He discovered two he hadn’t noticed before now. Both books were about the same size and bound in blue leather. The first read ‘Sky’s diary‘. He held onto it for a moment. Severus did not have many ethics when it came to finding out what he wanted to know. After all, how often did one get an opportunity to read someone else’s diary. Particularly when you had a special interest in that someone.
But he forced himself to put the book aside.
