Watching as Hellboy's cat, Medusa, a Himalayan cat breed with a dark face and paws and tan and white fur sat up and tenderly licked her kitten's body clean, allowing it to make it's first noises, Harry grinned and leaned against his lover's stone red arm.

As she nudged the first kitten to her teats so that it could start nursing, Medusa worked on bringing her second kitten into the world.

After a few hours the little box was filled with six tiny, white kittens mewling and stumbling over their mother as they tried to find the nearest food source.

Leaning against Hellboy who was grinning like a proud papa, Harry whispered, “It makes you want one of your own doesn't it.”

“Would if we could, but even me being a demon can't make it happen.”

“But I can. Magic can do a lot of things.” Harry said, lacing his fingers with his giant lovers as they watched the kittens and their mother curling up together, already sharing a strong bond.

“Chances are the baby would come out with a less than normal skin tone or body part.” Hellboy said, unaware that he had started rubbing the sanded down stubs where his horns grew.

“So what? We'll love him or her and so will Aunt Liz, Uncle Abe, and Uncle John. And, one day, that child will find someone to love him and share a bond with him or her like the bond I share with you and Liz shares with John and Abe.”

“Maybe. Why don't we talk about it more later.” Hellboy suggested.

“Sure. No problem.” Harry said, but he had a feeling the tender scenes they had seen had already swayed the both of them into a final decision. Besides, Harry had been trying to think of how to bring up the subject of a baby for a while now.
