A new task is set

In the following weeks Thea went to meet Lucius in the Forbidden Forest regularly, and most weekends she went home with Draco only for Lucius to appear in her room each night, sealing the room so that no one could enter, or indeed even hear what happened inside.

Draco soon grew tired of waiting for his father to allow him to touch Thea, and she in turn was strangely grateful that Draco was kept at bay. Adrianna became another regular visitor to the Malfoy estate, and the already present animosity between the two girls grew. Adrianna hated Thea for merely being in the Malfoy's favour, and Thea hated Adrianna for her constant sniping and attempts to undermine Thea in front of Narcissa and other influential company.

Lucius still took great pleasure in Thea's company. Sometimes he would spend hours humiliating her; tying her to the bed and practically raping her, forcing her to masturbate in front of him, and sometimes he would slip his hand under her robe as Draco watched, only to storm off in disgust once he realised he could not touch too.
Other times Lucius could be quite tender, and would hold her close as he thrust slowly into her, his eyes locked on hers, his mouth showering her with tender kisses.

Thea had learnt early on that Narcissa knew about her husband's infidelity, it it was an arrangement that suited them both, for Narcissa had her own lovers. Thea had initially been worried that Lucius would want both Thea and Narcissa together, a scenario which chilled Thea. However it soon became clear that the two rarely touched each other, preferring to take pleasure with their latest plaything.

One lazy Sunday morning Lucius rolled over, sitting up and pulling Thea into his lap. His arms circled around her waist, hands playing across her flat stomach, a stomach which had been growing ever smaller as stress took its toll.

Nuzzling into her neck Thea smiled, turning her face so she could kiss Lucius' smooth lips. When he broke the kiss, Thea settled back against him savouring this moment of peace and contentment. If she didn't think about what could have been then her guilt and shame could not surface.
'I have new orders for you.' Lucius' voice was soft, smooth, but it still broke the sense of peace that had washed over her.
'Considering your talent for potion work, you are to create a potion that will effect Muggles and Muggles only and which is undetectable by current magical practises.' Here he paused.
'A steep task, but Voldemort has great confidence in your intelligence. He recognises that this will take some time, and therefore you will be judged on your performance and testing ability. Luckily for you, you have a number of Muggles conveniently within your reach for exp experiments.'

Thea swallowed, careful to keep the smile on her face. As usual her task was one which a more proficient Death Eater could have accomplished, Snape for instance. But this was a test of her allegiance and how far she would go for the cause. Closing her eyes Thea bit back the urge to scream at this man, this situation and life in general. She needed to plan this latest exploit carefully, and she felt a now familiar tightening in her chest. Dear Merlin, would this never end?

Turning slowly, Thea pressed a kiss to Lucius' arrogant mouth. Standing she pulled on some baggy pants over her cotton briefs, and slipped a tight top over her head.
'I'm going out for a run.' Her voice was carefully neutral. 'I'll be back in time for lunch.'
'Don't you want to stay here with me?' Lucius' voice was typically lascivious.
'Oh of course, sweetheart. But it isn't easy keeping a. . . .tight body like mine.' Here she leant across the bed, purposefully teasing him, hoping to amuse him so that he wouldn't pull her down for yet more brutal sex. Dynamics were changing; Thea could no longer simply give in to the feeling of skin on skin. It helped in her worst moments, but she realised that now she would have to move beyond this. She would have to use all her cunning and courage to survive. Her sanity was only a necessity she had to maintain.

Lucius smiled, kissing her quickly before leaning back aga the the bed.
'There is no lunch today. Narcissa and I have some business we need to attend to. You are free to return to Hogwarts at your leisure.' And with that he rolled out of bed, stretching his long body before striding into the bathroom. No goodbye. She had been dismissed. A relieved Thea collected her things, shoving them quickly into a bag, and apparated to just outside the grounds of Hogwarts.
