“Good morning my angel” he said still a bit sleepy. It was amazing how fast he was up and kissing me. “Merry Christmas my fox “ I said giving him a big hug. “My fox” he grinned “I like it more then oversized bat or greasy bastard.”
“Severus Snape, don’t let me have second doubts about you being my mystery lover” I teased him. “Does this answer your question” he asked, kissing me tenderly while stroking my hair. “Mmm, I am going to get used to that” I said enjoying the kiss. “Good” he whispered “There is more where that came from.” After our kiss we decided to continue our breakfast.
“Severus?” I said with my mouth half full. “Mermooine” he mumbled while eating a croissant. “Why?” I started “I mean, we had a nice contact during the last months. So I was wondering why you started the mystery act..”

“Well, one time in class, I heard you talk to Potter, saying you like a little mystery in your life. So I guess, that’s when I got the first idea…” he smiled.
I was about to continue when we were interrupted by a knock on the door. As I stood up from the bed Severus gave a cough making me clear I couldn’t open the door looking like that. It was then I realized I was till wearing that sexy nightgown he got me. I took my bathrobe and went to the living room. “Ah Miss Granger” it was Professor Dumbledore “Sorry to interrupt you, but I wanted to be the first to wish the happy couple a Merry Christmas in person.” I blushed. “Taking from the fact you are still in your pyamas I guess my potions master is still here” his eyes were bright when he said that.
“Do come in headmaster” I said a bit embarrassed “One moment please” I rushed up to the bedroom to tell Severus to get dressed. To my surprise he was already showered and dressed. “How did you..” I started. “My dear, in the years I’ve been working with Dumbledore, I got to know him very well…” he smiled “I’ll keep him company until you return completely dressed.” In answer to that I gave him a little kiss, rushing up to the bathroom.
As I returned in the living room 30 minutes later both Severus and Dumbledore were sitting in the sofa chatting and drinking hot chocolate. “Ah, Miss Granger” Dumbledore smiled “Please join us.” I took place in a chair next to Severus. Dumbledore presented me a cup of hot chocolate “I was just telling Severus how impressed I was by his actions.” I laughed when I saw Severus rolling his eyes.
“Time for some Christmas gifts” the headmaster said while taking out two packages. He handed them out to us. I rushed up to my room to get his present, determined to give Severus gift later on that day. As I returned we opened our gifts together.
Severus got a nice box to put his quill in. It had the sign of Slytherin on it with a gold plaque that said ‘Severus Snape – Potions Master’ By the looks of it Severus was pleased with his present He thanked the headmaster as I was still opening mine.
I got a little leather bag with a little golden plaque on the front with my name engraved in it. When I turned it around I blushed. “I’ve taken the opportunity to mix your two favorite houses” Dumbledore winked. There was the sign of Slytherin and Gryffindor on the back.
“Miss Granger, Hermione I mean, Severus” suddenly the headmaster sounded very serious “I’m very happy to see you two together, you are the perfect match. However, I must ask you to keep your relationship a secret until the end of the year. We can’t have trouble around this, and knowing some of the students, I guess it is best to do it this way.”
“We fully understand headmaster and you can trust us” it was the first time I heard Severus talk like that to Dumbledore. “I do trust you Severus, however, I must say, nothing can stop you from spending some extra time on Miss Granger’s assignment.” He winked at the both of us. He took his present “I must be going now, I guess you’ll be having a busy day today. See you tonight at dinner.”
As he was gone I went to take a seat next to my lover. “He does have good ideas” I laughed, bending over to kiss him. At this point we heard another knock on the door. “Now what?” Severus mumbled. “Sshhhhhhhhh” I said, calming him down “The sooner we get this over with, the better.” I was surprised to find Professor McGonagall at the door. “Ow, you two are already on your feet” she said walking in. “Good morning Professor, Merry Christmas.” I gave her a hug.
Severus was sitting in the sofa rolling his eyes again as McGonagall took place next to him. I coughed letting know to present McGonagall some hot chocolate. She politely thanked as she just came in to give us our presents. To our surprise I got a bracelet with the inscription Severus Snape and the sign of Slytherin, when Severus got one with my name as inscription and the Gryffindor sign. “I thought it would be a nice a little memory to Hogwarts and how it all started.” She smiled. I gave her a bottle of the same lavender oil I used. She always made the remark I smelled so good in class. As she was leaving she turned around and said “I hope you two will be very happy.” And off she went.
Before I could say anything Severus pulled out his wand and mumbled a spell. I gave him a confusing look. “I just want some time for the two of us without visitors walking in and out” he smiled, taking me in his arms. We walked back to my bedroom. This was the perfect moment to give him his present. “Hermione, you didn’t…” “Shhhhh just open it” I interrupted him. I noticed a little tear in his eyes when he opened the present. Inside there was a frame with a picture of me in it. The inscription underneath said ‘In times of sadness I hope this will bring a little smile on your face – Love you, Hermione’ “I didn’t know what to get you on such short not…” I tried to say blushing a bit. “It’s perfect” he said and gave me a kiss.

“I love you Hermione Granger” he stroked my face.

“And I love you Severus Snape” I said smiling at him.

Btw, nobody missed anything... The story is a bit of a mystery but it will be more clear after reading another chapter or 2 :))
