Harry knew that joining the BPRD, the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, would increase the trouble that he got into daily, but he still joined. He wasn't complaining, especially because it got him a family and a lover...a lover that was a large red demon.

The problem was, that his lover was tough and, at the moment, was possessed by a possessive evil ghost that saw Harry as the lover he had killed when he tried to leave him.

Leaning into the wall, Harry couldn't help but feel terrified as the ghost parading around in his lovers body flexed the large stone hand, looking as if he wanted to his something. Because while Hellboy wasn't violent unless you were trying to do something illegal or hurt someone he cared about, the ghost wasn't. The ghost was the exact opposite. The ghost had killed his lover for smiling at the neighbor when she moved in and offered to help her with the boxes.

As the stone hand was slammed into the wall beside his head and Harry looked up into the orange eyes or his lover, he hoped that Abe would hurry up and vanquish the ghost before it did something that Hellboy would blame himself for.

Trying to act...not scared, Harry plastered a fake smile on his lips and stood on his tip toes so he could reach his lovers neck, a hard task because the red man stood at about seven feet.

“I've missed you today.” Harry said with a smile that felt more like a grimace.

Growling in answer, the ghost slammed their lips together and shoved his tongue passed Harry's lips.

Grunting in displeasure, Harry was feeling more and more tense and was ready to push the ghost away when he felt the kiss become more gentle and he felt Hellboy's hands come to rest on his waist.

After a few seconds they pulled apart and Hellboy said with a slight laugh, “You get into so much trouble. Only you would be the living descendant of the lover of the ghost haunting this house and look exactly like that lover.”

“HB, I love you, but don't push your luck right now because this trouble attractor is ready to blow up. Let's just get back to HQ so we can start our week off.”

Chuckling, Hellboy pulled a cigar out of his coat and lit it up. “Don't worry babe. I'll help you forget all about him.”

“You'd better because I didn't want to take this job since it required us coming in on our first day off in months now.”

Wrapping an arm around the slim waist, Hellboy led his short lover out of the house and towards the ride that would take them back to base. He'd make his petite boy forget all about what happened. All he'd be able to think about was them in bed after he was done with him.
