A/N: Sorry it took so long to get this chapter up, but I had finals. Now, thankfully, they are over and hopefully I'll have chapters up more often.

As soon as he was outside of number twelve, Severus apperated back home. He didn't even take care to make sure no one saw him; he just wanted
to get away, quickly. He wanted to be alone, like he always was. Being in his solitude, was comfort from everything else.
Back at his home, Severus sat in his study, thinking -and trying not to- he seemed to be spending an enormous amount of time in there the
past few weeks. His mind most always on the subject of Yuki. Now he was scolding himself for allowing anything to happen between them, for allowing her
to consume him twice. Severus, wasn't about to lie to himself and say he didn't want it to happen, but he did think that it shouldn't have.
Yuki was so fragile and Severus just might have used her vulnerability to get what he had wanted. But then she had wanted it too. She
could have pushed him away, told him no, made him leave, but she didn't. She allowed him to take her and even after, took Severus himself.
But still, it should not have happened. There was no way to make her understand what she was getting herself involved in. Severus hadn't of
expected her to be so understanding when he told her about Morgan, but when she was, it scared him. Severus would never forgive himself, so why
should anyone else, especially Yuki?
He tried to explain to her, tried to make her see that she couldn't be with him. But she was just so stubborn and couldn't fully see the
weight of the relationship. Severus wasn't willing to put another life in danger. He had finally turned his life around and was doing fine, he
wasn't about to go back and have everything he's worked for unravel.
There were feelings for her, feelings Severus hadn't had in a long time. And though he didn't want to deny himself them, he knew he had to.
It was best for everyone that they didn't progress. So Severus made the decision, that he would go to Dumbledore, and request leave from his
assignment. And he wouldn't see Yuki again.

"Ah Severus, good to see you. Could I tempt you with a lemon drop?" Albus asked from across his desk, holding out the square tin can.
Severus waved away the old man's offer as he sat down in a chair at Albus' Hogwarts office, where Severus asked to meet.
"Well I think I'll just leave the case out, in case you change your mind," the Headmaster said and placed the tin before Severus on the desk.
"So what is it you would like to talk about Severus?"
Taking a short pause, the Potions Master collected his thoughts, the one's he had been going over repeatedly when he decided to talk to Dumbledore,
before he spoke, "I'm here to talk about the assignment I'm on at the moment."
"Oh yes, with Miss. Yuki," Dumbledore nodded, "How are things going? Are you any closer to an answer?"
The topic had slightly changed from what Severus had come to talk about, but he knew he was supposed to give Albus some report on his work.
"Well, I have a slight idea of what has happen, where she came from, but it is only theory right now."
"Well, Severus, you have never gone wrong in your theories before, I trust that you'll have things figured out in no time. You just need to
work with her a little more." Albus took another lemon drop and popped it into his mouth before offering a declining Severus one again.
"Thats just the thing," Severus said, "I need to be dismissed from this assignment. Someone else will have to do it."
Dumbledore sat still, leaning back in his chair, the side of his right cheek caved in as he sucked on the lemon drop while he eyed Severus.
"Why?" was all Albus asked.
Severus wasn't prepared with an explanation, at least not one he could give. "Well, I just can't do it. someone else will have to," Severus
said, trying to sound as authoritative as possible with Dumbledore.
"Well Severus, that really isn't a reason," Albus told him. "Can you not tell me why?"
Severus thought about it for a moment. "No, I can't." He really couldn't tell Dumbledore. He was the last person Severus wanted to lose
trust in him. He was the only who trusted him anyway.
"Well then Severus," Albus said as he leaned forward in his chair, "I'm afraid you will not be excused form this assignment." Severus tried to
protest but Dumbledore raised his hand up in silence. "If you cannot provide me with an plausible reason why you should be dismissed, then you'll
have to stay on. You are, after all, the only one who can take it on anyway, Severus. No one else in the order can do legimency."
"Albus, really, I-"
"Severus," Dumbledore cut him off, "No one else can do it. You are not dismissed from this assignment. I'm sorry."
Dumbledore rose from his seat and walked around the desk to show Severus out. Severus had stopped his protests, knowing full well that Albus
was not going to let him off, with or without an excuse.
"Oh and Severus," Albus said just as Severus was walking out of the door, "She understands more then you know." Albus smiled, the
glint in his eye twinkling, and closed the door behind Severus, who went home to dread when he would have to return to number twelve.

Yuki lye in bed all day, fully awake and aware. Her mind kept replaying the conversation she had had with Severus, trying to find where it was
she went wrong. She was understanding with him, with what he did, she knew that that wasn't him anymore and that he never meant to hurt Morgan.
But why was he so upset with her, for being forgiving?
Maybe he had wanted her to be angry, angry and afraid of him and when he saw she wasn't, he had to do something to destroy the affair. But
why? Yuki thought, maybe he was afraid of being close to someone, or maybe he never really cared for her in the first place and just used her. But
she knew that wasn't it. She knew he felt something for her, because he kept coming back.
So Yuki just stayed in her room, thinking of what would now become of them, of what would happen when he came back, because he would have
to, to help her. She knew she couldn't just go back to the way she was before anything happen between them. Yuki had given herself to Severus,
and he rejected her, but she still felt the same way about him as she had before. It was starting to give her a headache, the thinking and
crying. But there wasn't much else she could do but dwell on what had taken place. She missed him terribly, but was also afraid of having him
back. He was, after all, just trying to protect her.
As Yuki grabbed a tissue off the bedside table, a knock came on the other side of the door to her room.
"Yuki?" someone called, "Can I come in?"
Before she had time to answer, Tonks opened the door to the room and walked in, slowly approaching Yuki's bed and sitting down on the side of
it.
"Yuki, are you ok?"
Sniffling a bit, Yuki turned on her side and faced her friend Tonks, who today was sporting, oddly enough for her, normal, light-brown hair
falling just to her shoulders.
"What happened?" Tonks asked again upon seeing her friend crying.
"Ss..Sev..erus-" Yuki choked out between sobs.
"What did he do?" Tonks asked harshly, worried about what mean old Severus could have done.
"I...can't tell you," Yuki told her, because she didn't feel like she could really tell anyone. They wouldn't understand.
"Yuki," Tonks spoke, placing a hand on Yuki's shoulder, "Did he do something?"
"No, nothing I didn't want," the crying girl finally admitted.
Her eyes widened in shock but Tonks was relived it wasn't anything to do with her previous thought. "You...and Snape...you...slept with
him?"
Yuki nodded.
"Well what happened?"
Sitting up in her bed Yuki bent her knees up into her chest and crossed her arms over them, "He left," she told Tonks. "He was worried
something bad would happen to me, so he left."
"Well," Tonks started, thinking that was quite rational of Snape, "that makes sense, if you think about who he was before. He's just looking out
for you."
"I guess," Yuki shrugged.
"So then, what's really the matter?"
"I thought he cared more about me. I guess I just care too much about him."
"You can never care too much about someone," Tonks told Yuki, "thats why he felt he had to leave. If he doesn't want anything bad to happen
to you, and he cares enough about you, he'd do what he thought necessary to keep you safe. Even if that means, having to leave you."
Thinking about it, Yuki thought it did make sense. And she liked to think that Severus cared enough about her, to want to keep her safe, but she still didn't like him denying his feelings.
"There's really nothing you can do," Tonks told her. "Men are stupid, but once in a while they act rationally. But very rarely."
Yuki smiled and laughed, and Tonks smiled back knowing that she had helped Yuki out.
"I guess you're right," Yuki told Tonks. "Thanks."
"Hey, no problem, I know men can be real jerks sometimes."
"Yeah, but I thought he was different.."
"Snape is pretty different," Tonks trailed, thinking of Snape actually being in a relationship. It was very strange to think about.
"So..." Tonks said with a twisted smirk, "what was he like?"
Yuki furrowed her brow and glanced at Tonks. "What do you mean?"
"You know," Tonks laughed, "whats he like in bed?"
Yuki almost choked but started to laugh when she saw the smile on Tonks face. "I can't believe you asked that."
"Well I'm curious. I can't actually imagine Snape... having sex," said Tonks as she scrunched her nose in disgust.
"And yet you still want to know what it was like?"
"Well yeah!, " she exclaim. "I mean, was he any good?"
Yuki laughed at Tonks enthusiasm in the subject for Severus having sex. She talked with her friend about it for a good part of the day, thankful that it was keeping her mind off of the crestfallen part of what had happened. Yuki was starting to feel as though it wasn't all that bad. That maybe, when Severus came back, they could talk about everything, and maybe be friends again.
