Chapter 17
Union of Three
Chapter 17
“Harry!” Severus yelled up the staircase. Upstairs was pretty much the only place the brat could be because that was the only place he hadn’t looked yet. “Harry, get your arse downstairs right this instant. You have some guests you need to greet.” With an exasperated sigh, he slowly climbed the staircase in search of the errant brunette.
“Fuck, Draco,” panted Harry, hearing Severus calling him from downstairs. He pushed back demandingly against Draco as the blonde thrust into his arse. “You better not stop. I’ll kill you myself if you do.”
“But, Harry,” said Draco, pausing momentarily as he listened intently. He quickly grabbed Harry’s hips with a soft moan when the brunette wiggled enticingly to get Draco to continue his thrusts. “It sounds important. We can finish this later.”
“Draco, I don’t care if Voldemort himself is right outside the bedroom door. If you don’t finish this, I am going to hurt you,” growled Harry, shoving his arse onto Draco’s rigid dick. “Move, Draco!”
Draco immediately slammed his cock back into his mate’s needy pucker, hitting Harry’s prostate and making the brunette scream in pleasure, and reached around to grasp Harry’s neglected shaft. Fisting the hard flesh to the same rhythm of his almost brutal thrusts, Draco shouted out his release as Harry’s arse clenched around his buried shaft in the throes of his own release. As Draco slowly withdrew from his mate’s sated body, a loud knock sounded at the door.
“Harry, you better be in here,” said Severus, shoving the door open. Seeing Harry sprawled on the bed in post-orgasmic bliss, Severus rolled his eyes and pulled the elf off the bed. “You have guests downstairs, and you need to go great them.” He cast a quick cleaning charm and pulled clean robes over the brunette’s head. “That’ll have to do for now. Let’s go.” Severus proceeded to drag Harry down to the library to greet his guests, leaving a confused Draco behind.
“And when did Severus become such a mother?” he asked aloud. The last he’d seen, Severus was just beginning to tolerate Harry, and here he was now getting the boy dressed. What was even more unbelievable was the fact that Harry just stood there and calmly let the man dress him, showing no embarrassment over his naked state. Shaking his head dazedly, Draco went to take a quick shower before joining his mate downstairs.
*****
“Good, you’re here,” said Lucius, pulling Harry over to a tall man with silver hair and topaz coloured eyes. The man had pointed ears and was obviously fae because his muscles were far too bulky to be an elf. Elves were tall and slender, more suited to stealthy attacks rather than head-on attacks. “This is Gabriel. He leads the fae army.”
Harry nodded politely and held out his hand for a handshake. Gabriel just ignored Harry’s outstretched hand and stared at the brunette intently. He even circled Harry to get a better view, smirking as he smelled the boy’s scent. Harry, of course, was getting a bit irritated at the silence and just plain weirdness from Gabriel and looked to Lucius for answers, who just shrugged in confusion. He didn’t know what Gabriel was doing either.
“Lucius, you’re mate is tiny compared to the rest of us. He’s even smaller than the werewolf. The only person smaller is the girl,” said Gabriel bluntly, smirking even more as Harry immediately pouted at being called tiny. “However, his magic more than makes up for his tiny stature. And apparently his stamina is pretty damn impressive as well.”
“I am not tiny,” growled Harry, glaring at the silver haired man. “It is grossly unfair that I can grow three inches overnight and still be the smallest man in the family.” He stared suspiciously at Gabriel for a moment. “And what do you know about my stamina?”
“It’s not just your height that makes you tiny, little one,” said Gabriel calmly. “Like all elves, you’re slender. You, though, also have a smaller bone structure than everyone else here, and that makes you look positively tiny compared to the rest of us. As for your stamina, you have two mates, one of whom you just left- probably well pleased by the way you smell- and don’t appear to be the least bit tired or weary.”
Harry immediately blushed and turned to glare at Severus. “That impatient bastard,” muttered Harry. “Wouldn’t let me take a quick shower. Oh no, he just had to barge in on the afterglow and drag me downstairs. The only point in his favour is that he at least dressed me first.”
“He’s certainly become a mother hen where you’re concerned,” said Lucius smugly. “I told him that if he spent enough time around you, he’d grow to love you just as much as the rest of us. Considering the amount of time the two of you have spent over the last four days, it doesn’t surprise me at all.”
Flashback
“Potter, get your lazy arse up. We are starting your training today even if I have to drag you the whole way,” said Severus, glaring down at the sleepily blinking elf. In a surprise move, Severus suddenly pulled Harry from the bed, causing the brunette to yelp in surprise and blush at his nudity.
Harry quickly grabbed his robe and pulled it on, glowering at the potion’s master the whole while. “Give me a little warning next time,” muttered Harry, storming to his wardrobe and pulling out a pair of trousers and shirt.
“Meet me in the library in ten minutes. We’ll be flooing to the Malfoy safe house to begin you’re training,” said Severus calmly, stalking towards the door. “Dougal said that the next meeting is in two weeks and our allies arrive in four days. You have a lot of work to do.”
Harry continued to scowl at the now empty doorway, pouting at his rude awakening. “Oh joy, four days with Snape. This is going to be hell.”
Ten minutes later, Harry and Severus flooed to the safe house, and Snape ushered Harry directly to the great hall. “I hope you’re ready for this,” said Severus snidely, lifting his wand in preparation. “Your life will depend on it.” Without further warning, Severus started slinging curses at the boy.
Harry managed to dodge or deflect most of them, but he couldn’t avoid the blasting curse that hit. He went flying backwards from the force of the curse and hit the wall. Harry slid down the wall slowly and laughed softly. “You really do have good reflexes,” said Harry, climbing carefully to his feet. “I wouldn’t have been able to cast a cushioning charm that quickly.”
Severus just stared at Harry speculatively. “I didn’t cast a cushioning charm, Potter. Look behind you,” said Severus quietly.
Harry turned to look and gasped in surprise. Instead of a wall, numerous fluffy pillows floated serenely in the air. “Is that normal?” asked Harry hesitantly. “I mean, is this place used a lot for this kind of training? Maybe the walls are charmed to turn to pillows on impact.”
“No, I don’t think so,” said Severus quietly. He raised his wand again and muttered a quiet spell. Seeing two distinctive magical signatures, Severus nodded to himself. “It seems you’re brat is determined to enter this world in one piece.”
“Yeah, I would hope so. I want her to enter the world in one piece, too. What’s your point?” asked Harry irritably. Why couldn’t people just bluntly say what they mean?
“Your daughter cushioned your fall, Potter. She is already using magic from the womb to protect you, and ultimately, her,” said Severus bluntly.
“But I thought that babies couldn’t perform magic that early,” said Harry incredulously.
“Apparently, the brat is just like her mother. Nothing is impossible where Harry Potter is concerned,” said Severus wryly. “Let’s continue. You still have a lot more to learn, and I’m curious about what else she can do.”
“Oh great, now I’m your lab rat,” whinged Harry with a pout, but obediently raising his wand.
By the end of the four days, Harry had learned several shielding charms, numerous offensive curses- both light and dark curses-, and quite a few defensive charms. He’d also learned quite a bit about his former professor, like the fact that the man very well could have been his father if Lily hadn’t been an elf. That had shocked Harry to the core, but he could understand Snape’s resentment better. The man who had constantly tormented him had married the girl he loved.
Severus had also learned a few things over the last four days. Harry had told him in great detail what his life had been like with the Dursley’s. It was all he could do to restrain himself from going to Privet Drive and hexing them. Although Hermione had already mentioned Harry’s miserable childhood, Severus still hadn’t quite believed her. Listening to the flat tone of voice during Harry’s recitation of past events, though, Severus had no choice but to believe the boy.
Harry discovered Severus’ more gentle side during his enforced stay. As morning sickness continued to plague him each day, Severus surprised him by soothing him through the awful retching, carefully keeping his hair out of his face and helping him to his feet once he’d stopped heaving. The man seemed to have a built in alarm that notified him when Harry rushed to the toilet to empty his stomach because he was there within minutes.
Severus discovered that Harry had quite the Slytherin side to him, a fact that didn’t surprise him as much as it probably should have. He knew the boy was sneaky, but he was surprised by the brat’s cunning. Harry had managed to create a new curse by combining three curses together- Furnunculus, Diffindo, and Incendio. It was very unpleasant, and he should know. Harry had managed to hit him with this improvised hex, causing boils to break out all over his skin only for them to pop open immediately and ooze a substance that burned to the touch. Harry had immediately rushed over to Severus, apologising profusely the whole time, and it had taken Harry and him over two hours to heal all the damage, but it was still an impressive hex to use against the Death Eaters.
“Drink your potion, brat. We have to leave in just a few minutes, and I don’t want you getting sick from the floo ride back,” said Severus, holding out a potion phial.
Harry grimaced and took the phial with a pout. “Couldn’t you make these things taste any better, Sev? The taste alone is enough to make me sick,” whinged Harry petulantly, eyeing the phial with intense distaste. “And why do I have to drink this disgusting concoction every single day?”
“I already told you, Harry. It’s your nutrient potion. As an expectant mother, your body needs far more nutrients than you can get alone to provide for your baby. Plus these particular potions also have the added ingredient of your mates’ blood since you can’t miss a dose of that, either,” said Severus patiently. “You do want Taryn to be healthy, don’t you?”
Harry pouted for a few more seconds just on principle before tossing the foul tasting drink back and swallowing in one gulp. “You still hate me, don’t you?” asked Harry pathetically, screwing his eyes shut with a grimace. “You decided that since Lucius and Draco wouldn’t let you beat me, you’d torture me with potions. Just admit already.”
“Yes, I thought a beating would end too quickly. With the potions, I can make you suffer for months,” said Severus teasingly, rolling his eyes at the pitiful expression on Harry’s safe. “Well, is the nausea down to a manageable level?”
“Yes, Sev, we can go now. I need to inform my mates about the new method of torture you’ve devised for me,” said Harry, sticking out his tongue and flooing back to Godric’s Hollow.
“He really is a little brat,” said Severus fondly, stepping into the fireplace and following Harry back home.
End Flashback
“You are with child?” asked Gabriel, leaning closer to Harry and sniffing deeply as he caught another faint scent. His eyes widened when he was suddenly pushed forcibly away from the brunette.
“Harry, what are you doing?” asked Lucius, seeing the barrier around Harry’s body.
“Uh, Lucius, I didn’t do it,” said Harry softly. “Hehe, didn’t I tell you? It seems that Taryn can already do magic. Cool, huh?”
Severus, who had been keeping a close eye on Harry because he just knew the brat was going to say the wrong thing to somebody, saw the barrier appear out of nowhere and hurried over to them. “Amazing, isn’t it, Lucius?” asked Severus calmly, planting himself between Harry and Gabriel. “Taryn doesn’t like for other men to get near her mother.”
“Hey!” protested Harry. “I already told you that Taryn will have a daddy and two fathers. She doesn’t like for other men to get near her daddy.”
Severus simply smirked and patted Harry’s slightly curved belly. “There, there, Taryn. You know you’re father won’t let anyone hurt your mother.” He pushed Harry towards Remus and followed behind him, saying over his shoulder, “Taryn needs to meet her other grandpa. We’ll be back later.”
“And to think that you actually thought you would need help to win this war,” said Gabriel smugly. “That boy is incredible. Not only can you just feel the magic rolling off of him, his unborn child is already performing magic. Even if the enemy gets close, the child won’t let anything happen to her mother.”
“I can’t believe he didn’t tell me about that,” said Lucius with a small pout. Intellectually, he knew that Harry hadn’t really had time to tell him the news. After all, Harry had practically jumped Draco as soon as he’d arrived, and the guests had arrived only moments afterwards. Lucius was just upset that Severus knew before he did.
“I thought you said he just got back today,” said Gabriel.
“He should have written me about it,” snapped Lucius, now glaring at Harry. At the hurt look that flashed across Harry’s face, Lucius’ anger disappeared completely. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, though. Harry was hit with a ‘cruciatus capitas’ curse during the first week of his pregnancy and not only managed to survive with no lingering damage, he also had to fight a fragment of Voldemort’s soul while he was in a coma. With a mother that strong and determined, it shouldn’t be a surprise to find that his daughter is the same way.”
*****
“So Taryn’s already using magic?” asked Remus with a grin. “She is just like you. Your mother was only three weeks pregnant when strange things started happening around her.”
“Like what?” asked Harry curiously. He was eager to hear about his mother while she was pregnant with him.
“Well, your father would be listening to music when suddenly the radio station would change. I know that one time, James was eating Yorkshire pudding and it changed into tripe. You should have seen the look on his face. It was hilarious. James absolutely detested tripe, and he hadn’t noticed the change until he took a bite,” said Remus, snickering at the memory.
Harry laughed along with Remus just picturing the scenario. Severus, on the other hand, positively beamed with pride that his newly claimed son had begun tormenting James from the womb. “What are you three laughing about?” asked Draco, drawing Harry’s attention. He pulled Harry into his arms and looked at Severus for an answer.
“Remus was just telling us how Harry tormented James even before he was born,” said Severus smugly. “I found a particular delight with that concept.”
“I didn’t think babies could do magic while they were in the womb,” said Draco quietly.
“It seems that Harry and Taryn are exceptions to that rule,” said Remus proudly.
“What? Taryn can already use magic? Why didn’t you tell me?” asked Draco incredulously.
“In case it’s escaped your notice, Draco. We were a little preoccupied when I returned, and then Mother Sev dragged me downstairs. When was I supposed to mention that little tidbit of news?” asked Harry sarcastically. Watching a droplet of water trickle down Draco’s throat, it was all Harry could do to refrain from pouncing on his mate once more. Apparently four days without sex had pushed his body to a constant state of horniness.
“Mother Sev?” asked Draco and Remus incredulously, looking at Severus apprehensively. They just knew he was going to strangle Harry for the sheer audacity of voicing that name aloud. They were astonished when Severus simply smacked Harry on the head and smirked at them. Before they could come out of their daze, though, a portal opened into the library.
A tall, slender man with dark red hair and violet eyes stepped through the portal first. He seemed oddly familiar to Harry, and he stared curiously at the new arrival. Harry’s eyes widened in awe when Lucius stepped past him and said, “Urian, I didn’t realise you would be joining us.”
Urian, looking at Harry with blatant curiosity, merely smiled and shrugged. “I have to admit that I let my curiosity get the best of me. I couldn’t wait until after the war to meet my only grandson.” He walked right up to Harry and pulled the boy into his arms, smiling when Harry’s arms hesitantly wrapped around his waist in response. Urian pushed Harry back so that he could get a good look at him. “You look just like your mother, Harry, except for that hair. That could only have come from your Da. We don’t have a single brunette in our lineage except for you.”
“I thought I looked just like my father,” said Harry.
“Nope, you have your mother’s bone structure, cheek bones, chin, and nose. And let’s not forget those gorgeous green eyes that you inherited from Aracely,” said Urian proudly. “You are definitely her grandson. Those eyes just prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt.” He finally stepped back and clapped his hands together. “Now that everyone’s here, let’s get rid of this threat to my grandson. I have some catching up to do, and I can’t do that until the war is over, so the sooner the better.”
Draco leaned towards Harry and whispered, “I like him, Harry. He’s definitely got the right idea. The sooner we kill the snake-faced bastard, the sooner we can do our own catching up.” Harry once again had to restrain himself from pouncing on Draco.
