Dunderhead at the Door
Drabble response to the Dribs Drabs and Doggy Tales challenge. 100 words, exact.
Rapping at the rickety door drew Snape’s attention away from his reading with his glasses perched elegantly on the end of his large nose. Peering through the door, he snarled with a displeased edge to his voice, “Yes?”“You utterly evil git!” Lucius roared. “How could you not let me know you were alive?”
“Indeed, Lucius. Why would I not be alive?” Snape answered back in his most bored tone. “Really, as if I would have not been prepared for the madman’s pet …” his voice trailed off as Lucius pushed open the door.
“I should have known,” Lucius agreed.
