Chapter Title: Fresh Wounds

Harry woke up for the second time to the sight of Severus� face and smiled softly. He gently nuzzled the top of Severus� head, remembering the night before. He sighed contentedly and Severus nuzzled his chest, his black eyes opening the sight of Harry�s small smile. He gently kissed the younger man and Harry responded gently.
�How you feeling?� Harry asked his dark-eyed lover, who chuckled ruefully.
�Not wanting to get out of bed.� Harry laughed at that before rising up and stretching, allowing Severus to ogle his younger lover�s stomach. Harry laughed again, a wondrous sound to Severus, having realized that Harry didn�t laugh very often anymore.
�We need to talk a little bit more.� Harry commented, sounding very much like he didn�t want to but Severus knew what that meant now.
�About?� He asked, gently pushing Harry to talk to him.
�Me, I guess.� Severus sat up and cuddled up to his younger lover, allowing him to hide his face in Severus� neck. �I know that you want to understand me better and I�m really gonna try to answer all of your questions and tell you the truths that you seek but it�s not gonna be easy. In fact, it�s probably gonna get harder from here. I�ve only ever told a few people and most others that do know only know parts from guessing.
�I have, however, told Lucius, Remus, and Draco. Mad-Eye Moody has guessed at most and Hedwig, of course, was there for most of it. Sirius, on the other hand, never even knew that anything was ever wrong with me. I didn�t want to change our relationship and I was concerned that that�s what would happen if I told him. I only told the three that I have because Lucius took me in as his own, as did Draco and Remus. I consider them family now.� Harry took a deep breath before continuing;
�I�m not telling you this to make you feel worse or better, but because I feel like you should know.� Severus nodded against Harry�s face before answering in kind;
�I know that you want me to know, Harry, and, for now, that is enough for me. I�m not saying that I don�t want to know but I am saying that I will give you as much patience as I can and that I will stand beside you through all that I can.� Harry hugged the older man closer to him, feeling at peace with that statement, knowing that Severus meant every word of it.
�I suppose that I probably ought to start��
�No.� Severus told him with a single finger laid against Harry�s lips. �I already know about your neck, the abuse, and your friend. That�s enough for now.� Harry sighed in contentment before burying his face in Severus� neck again.
�What did I do to deserve you?� He asked Severus softly, who chuckled darkly.
�Here I was wondering how I deserved you.� Harry gently kissed Severus� neck before rising.
�It�s Draco�s birthday and I just realized that he never managed to make it down here, so I�m gonna go find him. Anything you want me to tell him?� Severus nodded as he pulled on his white shirt.
�Tell him I said happy birthday.� Harry smiled before giving Severus a kiss.
�Alright.� Harry left the chambers for the Slytherin common rooms. He bowed before the portrait and spoke the password calmly. Ten minutes later, he was in Draco�s room. He smiled at the sight of the blonde-haired boy sprawled out on his bed. Harry gently placed his hand on the younger man�s shoulder. �Draco.�
�Hmm?� Grey eyes stared at Harry before registering who it was. Draco leaped out of bed and wrapped his arms around Harry. �Gods, I�m so sorry, Harry, I just couldn�t get down there.� Harry chuckled before hugging the other boy.
�It�s alright, Draco. I was never mad at you for that. Happy birthday, from both me and Severus.� Draco rubbed the back of his head.
�I guess it is my birthday, huh?� Harry nodded with an eyebrow raised.
�You okay? It�s not like you to be so spacey on days.� Draco looked down before getting up and closing the door. He locked it and whispered a silencing spell.
He then yanked off his shirt, revealing a bruised set of ribs, one that Harry could instantly tell was broken, and a series of cuts and scrapes. Harry leaped up and instantly healed the one that was broken, noting now the deep breath that Draco took in relief.
�What the hell happened?� Harry demanded and Draco sighed as he sat back down on the bed.
�A couple of Gryffindors cornered me in the halls yesterday.�
�Who? Do you know?� Draco nodded with a sigh. �We have to tell Dumbledore��
Whatever Harry had been expecting, tears from Draco were not one of them. The blonde boy�s shoulder shook with such force that Harry expected him to fall of the bed. That thought in mind, Harry wrapped his arms around the younger man and held him close. When the tears finally stopped, Harry asked the all important question;
�What happened?� Draco chocked on another sob before responding brokenly;
�They raped me.�

CubStyxx- �Ouch! I wasn�t expecting that one myself until I started this chapter. Anyway, onward to the next. It�s short but that�s okay, I don�t think this one should have been long.�
