Hermione lay on her belly, because it was more comfortable than laying on her back.
She felt no pain.
She didn’t feel the lacerations on her back, or the bruises on her face and legs…or her bottom.
She no longer felt shooting pain that seemed to be present in every orifice of her body, from her anus to her vagina to her mouth. There was no pain now.
She lay there and wondered how long before he decided she was ready to be ‘interrogated’ again. Because Hermione Granger understood that this was more than just interrogation for Mr. Malfoy. This was personal.
Who spent so much time torturing one person?
She would laugh if she still had a voice. Her throat was raw from screaming.
And then she felt tears sting her eyes again.
Don’t cry don’t cry don’t cry.
It would be so easy to simply tell him what he wanted. How funny it would be to see his expression, because frankly she truly didn’t know that much. The people who he searched for were adept at relocating.
They may have moved already. Who know. They could all be dead.
She heard a door open and felt her entire body tense.
Was he back?
But it was only a house elf. This one wore a dirty smock, much like Dobby had, and he refused to meet her eyes.
He held up a spoon and began to feed her.
‘What’s your name?’ she asked softly.
The elf looked away and did not make eye contact.
She sighed. So no one was to speak to her.
‘I’ll call you…Min? How’s that. Min.'
She felt a smile on her face, and the elf hastily put the food down and left.
She was alone. Again.
