Title: The Law of Horus

Summery: Takes place during Harry�s 6^th year. A new law during the summer places Hermione in situation that she doesn�t want to be in. It�s called the Law of Horus, a marriage law to try to save the wizarding world. This law takes her to places that she�s never been before and she finds in in the most unusual places.

Chapter Seventeen: The Birth

The situation between Ginny and Remus became yesterday�s news as things started to get more exciting with each passing day. Hermione quickly discovered that when you didn�t want something to happen, time had a bad way of speeding things up. In the middle part of May while everyone was sleeping Hermione woke up in a puddle of blood. She screamed so badly that it woke her husband.
He raced her to the hospital wing where Madam Pomfrey took over. She closed the door and left Severus in the hall. However he then raced to tell the Aurors that it was happening and soon half the school was outside.

� Why can�t I hear anything?� Severus asked Dumbledore.

� It�s been warded with a Silencing Charm since the war started,� Dumbledore answered.
The hours passed a~dhstill no sign of the door opening. Ginny and Remus were not talking or even doing anything. Harry felt bad for both of his friends and still wondered what had happened. The sun went up, but the students remained. Several Slytherins yelled at them for holding them up and looked at Snape with distaste. They had their breakfast in the hall and then their lunch. Finally around dinner time the door opened and Madam Pomfrey appeared.
She had blood all over her smock. Hermione was screaming her head off, but soon she had what she needed and the screaming ended.

� Hermione is a screamer!� joked Ron.

� She�s a women,� corrected Professor McGonagall. Ten minutes later the door opened again and the screaming filled the corridor.
She looked around and seeing Harry grabbed him and pushed him inside.

� Why can�t I go in?� Severus asked.

� Because you faint at the sight of blood,� Madam Pomfrey pointed out. And she then closed the door behind her.

� Now you�re going to help me out,� she told him, over the screaming. � I want you to dab her forehead with water and make sure that she is as comfortable as possible.�
He walked over and a horrible sight filled his eyes. He ran out and Madam Pomfrey grabbed Professor McGonagall.

� Never get a man to do a woman�s job.�

� Well how is she?� Severus asked.
� Sweaty,� was all Harry answered. By the time morning came the students had all left and only a few Aurors remained. However soon Madam Pomfrey appeared, smiling. Professor McGonagall was behind her, smiling as well.

� Life moves on,� she commented.

� I think Hermione did well,� said McGonagall. � Of course I think Mr. Potter will ever have children after that.� They both laughed their heads off.
Professor McGonagall told Dumbledore that all three babies were delivered and doing fine. His eyes twinkled and he chuckled.

� Let me tell them,� he said. And they both headed down to the Great Hall.
� Can I have your attention please,� said McGonagall. The hall turned to the staff table and Dumbledore stood up.

� Students and staff. I�m please to inform you that Hermione Snape, or Professor Snape as she�s called now has delivered all three babies.� At those words Snape made the quickest exit in the history of the school. Dumbledore chucked and then continued.
� She is going to be in the wing f wee week so I want all of you to come and visit her and make the new additions feel at home. That�s all.� When Severus appeared four Aurors back away so that he could enter. Hermione was sound asleep and the windows had been thrown open to let in the somewhat summer sunshine in. Next to her were three magical cribs two draped in pink and the other in blue.
A large leather bound book was suspended in mid-air, writing down names. Its scratching somehow keeping the three that were now inside from crying. He walked over to the book and smiled for the second time that he could remember.

� Well hello Severus,� said a voice from behind him. He turned to see Peter standing there. He had the gall enough to come back to Hogwarts.

� Peter, what are you doing here?� He asked. � And how in bloody hell did you get past the Aurors?� Peter smiled at him.

� Oh I have my ways. Now where are the three little sweet ones? I do hope that you gave them the box?�

� I�ll give it to them later, now leave before my wife wakes up.�
� Oh I�m sure that after she has had these three you won�t want to touch her body. Now let me see them.� He pushed him aside and Snape muttering something under his breath the door slowly opened.

� You know something you think that my wife is going to let you take our children away, well then you have another thing coming.�

� Oh trust me Severus the dark lord has ways of getting what he wants and he-, ow.�
Something suddenly bit him on the leg. Severus looked down to see that the baby dragon that the mother had given to Hermione had hatched. Suddenly a small hand came up and Peter was thrown against the wall with a hard-hitting crash. The Aurors came in and seeing Peter grabbed him.

� How did he get up against the wall?� One of them asked.
� I have no idea,� Severus lied. He looked at him, but he took Peter away, his partner following him. The students over the next several days visited Hermione and wished her all the luck in the world. Hermione was pleased that they all cared enough for her to come and was even more shock that her child had done what he had done.

� Merlin is going to be one powerful wizard when he grows up,� Dumbledore informed them.

� Well look who he has for parents,� Hermione said. Dumbledore smiled and left the couple alone.
The next week Hermione was allowed to leave and she at once took something that made her fall asleep. Dobby was brought in to take care of the three while he was in classes and Hermione was sleeping. Dobby got right to work, as it was something that wasn�t new to him. After all he had taken care of Draco when he was little.
