The animal in Remus made him want to mark claim her
thoroughly first and ask questions later. Finding a willing mate was very rare
and only a female werewolf could satisfy urges in a male werewolf that human
women couldn’t. Remus grabbed the counter firmly to stop himself from acting on
it.
“Serena, please, get off of your knees,” Remus said
through his teeth.
“Remus, I refuse to let you turn into a cold
heartless man. We need more men like you in this world and if that means I have
to be your mate, I will gladly sacrifice myself to you,” Serena said firmly.
Remus watched as Serena spread her thighs wider
apart showing off her fancy lingerie thong underneath her purple nightie. She put her hands behind her back looked down on
the ground, assuming the submissive position.
Remus felt his cock harden painfully. He itched to
take her and run away so that they could live together as mates in peace.
“Serena please, have mercy on an old man’s heart
and get up. We can’t recklessly go claiming and mating with one another. I have
to talk to Dumbledore about this first. Does he even know about your
condition,” Remus asked tightly.
“No but I’m sure he wouldn’t mind me helping you as
long as it helps you get the power you need,”
‘Yes, besides, he won’t be able to do anything
about you claiming her until it’s too late’ a
little voice in Remus’ brain said.
Remus groaned and grabbed Serena’s arm, pulling her
up. He was suddenly overcome with her normally hidden scent and felt as if he
were going to explode. If he didn’t get a grip on his primitive side, he knew
that he would claim her without any thought or rational and possibly hurt
her.
“We will talk to Dumbledore about this first. Until
then, I suggest we stay away from each other for a little while. I can smell
your scent and I don’t know if I’m strong enough to hold back from taking you,”
Remus said letting go of her arm.
Serena let out a pretty pout, making her bottom
lips stick out
deliciously.
Remus felt the counter dig painfully into his hand
while doing his damndest to resist.
“Don’t argue with me. Go. Now.” Remus said in a
tone he had never used before with any other woman. It was a voice dominate
males used when telling their mates what to do.
He was shocked to see Serena look down submissively
and follow his order. He could smell her sexual arousal rolling off her in
waves and knew that it wasn’t an easy for her to walk
away.
Remus stared down at the ground for a long time,
trying to get his inner werewolf under control.
‘She’s only one floor away. We can go up and
claim her before the sun rises. Can’t you smell her willingness—her
submissiveness. She’s willing to be our mate for life’
‘No, we can’t do anything with her until we discuss
this with her father. You know the rules. Even our kind has to be approved by
fathers’
‘You’re really going to wait for that old fool’s
approval? He hasn’t even had a real talk with her since she’s shown up. She’s
parentless and she’s ours’
‘For the last time NO. I’ll go to Dumbledore first
thing in the morning to talk about this. For now, this conversation is done’
The little voice finally went away in a huff.
Remus ran a hand over his face, feeling the stress
squeezing painfully at his heart.
He made his way to the couch, knowing that
going to his room wouldn’t be enough to keep him from taking her.
Even a floor away he could smell her scent and it
was driving him crazy with lust. Remus was finally forced to put his face into
a pillow, nearly suffocating before falling into a troubled sleep.
---
Two days before the winter break ended and a day
before Ginny was forced to see Voldemort again, the Order had a meeting.
The Weasley’s, Serena,
Sirius, Hermione and Harry were already at the house and begin to set
everything up for the night. The air in the house was thick with tension.
Everyone was nervous to see how Ginny came out of her initiation.
Dumbledore was the first person to arrive. He had a
soft smile on his face and the signature twinkle in
eyes.
Serena stood in the shadows, watching him interact
with all of the Weasleys. She didn’t know what to say to the man so she stayed
back and waited.
Finally, Dumbledore turned his blue eyes onto
Serena and gave her a warm smile.
“Serena, might I have a word?” he asked spreading
his arms toward the living room.
Serena gave her very own smile and followed him
into the living room.
They both sat down comfortably on the couch before
settling for a small talk.
“I gather everything has been well for you here,”
Dumbledore asked formally.
Serena crossed her legs and gave him a small smile.
“Yes, Sirius has been a great host, Hermione a good
companion and Remus has been a very good
friend,”
“I’m happy to hear that. I apologize for not being
able to make some time for you my dear. With this war wreaking havoc throughout
Britain, I have been working overtime to help as many people as I can. I have
tried finding your mother but have had no luck. Tonight I’ll assign some Order
members to go and look for her. As for spending more time with you, how
does this Saturday sound? We can have tea in my office and possibly even go
shopping in Hogsmeade if it is safe enough?”
Serena’s smile made the gloomy library seem more
warm and welcoming. She brought her hands together near her face and let out a
girlish squeal.
“I would love
that!”
Dumbledore patted her hand with his wrinkled ones
and gave her a bright smile of his own. He stood and offered his hand to help
her stand.
“Wonderful, it’s a date. We should be getting back
to the meeting. It will be starting shortly,” he said.
Serena stood with him but stayed in her place when
he turned. She shifted from one foot to the other nervously before speaking up.
“Wait, I have a question to ask that I’ve been
wondering for a long
time,”
Dumbledore paused and turned to look at her with an
encouraging expression on his face. This encouraged Serena to go on
confidently.
“For a month now I’ve been trying to figure out
what you preferred to be called. You’re my father but I don’t know really know you.
At the same time, it just seems so wrong to call you by your first or last
name. What would you be the most comfortable with being called by me?”
Dumbledore tapped his chin with his finger and
looked into the fire for a very long moment.
Finally he gave her an answer.
“I don’t mind being called father if you’re
comfortable enough saying it of course. You call me whatever you want
Serena,”
Serena smiled brightly and walked toward him with
her signature model confidence. Suddenly her eyes began to twinkle. She latched
onto his arm.
“Thanks … dad,” she said giving him a wink.
Dumbledore smiled back warmly and led her into the
kitchen where the Order meeting was to be held.
---
Ginny wrapped her arms around herself tightly,
staring into the flames of the Malfoy fire place.
The last thing she wanted to do was face her family
and members of the Order so soon after her shame. She wasn’t the same girl
anymore and she didn’t have the energy to pretend that she was.
Ginny felt Lucius walk up behind and wrap his arms
around her waist, rubbing her swollen belly. He spoke to her in a soothing
voice.
“You will do fine Ginevra. You’re one of the
strongest women I know,”
Ginny leaned back into his strong frame and let out
a sigh.
He had been so supportive to her for the past two
days, holding her when she burst into tears and making her laugh when life
seemed too bleak. Ginny didn’t know how she would have gotten through the few
harsh days without Draco and Lucius.
They were more like her family at that point in her
life than her real family.
“Thank you Lucius,” Ginny muttered, snapping out of
her wool gathering.
Lucius squeezing Ginny a little
tighter and kissed her on the top of her head.
“Both Snape and I have made sure that everyone at
the meeting will keep their comments to themselves. You won’t have to say a
thing,”
Ginny was comforted by his words. She didn’t think
her voice would hold if she did have to say something at the meeting.
Draco walked into the room and saw his father and
Ginny in an intimate embrace. He raised his eyebrows but kept quiet.
For him, it was strange to see his father treat
someone in such a loving way. Years ago he would have been very angry to see
his father show another woman the love that he felt his mother deserved.
Now, after getting to Ginny and his father better,
he felt nothing but hope for the relationship. He prayed that they would
realize they were good for each other.
But then there was that problem of Snape. Draco
knew the dark man had some deep feelings for Ginny. From observing the way he
healed Ginny after she became a Death Eater, Draco knew that the chances of
Snape giving Ginny up to Lucius were very slim. And Ginny, having a soft spot
for Snape, would more likely than not fall into his arms again.
“Are you guys ready?” Draco asked, snapping out of
his wool gathering.
“No,” Ginny said turning to dig her face into
Lucius’ chest.
Lucius let out a chuckle and held onto her
possessively.
“Come on darling. This is something you have to do.
If things get out of hand me and Draco will take care of it,” Lucius whispered
in her ear.
“What about Professor Snape? Will he be there for
me too?” asked Ginny, her voice muffled from his clothing.
Only Draco could see the dark expression that
passed his fathers face before it was replaced with
one of affection when he looked back down at her.
“Of course he’ll be there for you,” he said rubbing
her back.
Ginny pulled back from his chest and flashed him a
very bright smile.
“Alright then, I think I can do it,” she said.
Draco and Lucius exchanged looks before throwing
floo powder into the fire place and disappearing to the Order meeting.
When the trio walked into the kitchen, every eye
fell on Ginny.
A lot of the members were surprised to see how
healthy she looked. Her robes poked out a little, giving evidence of her
pregnancy. She seemed to glow and managed to give everyone staring at her a
weak smile.
“Hey Gin, how was your holiday after Christmas?”
Bill asked standing from his chair and hugging Ginny.
“It was fine Bill. Did yours go okay?” asked Ginny
closing her eyes, savoring his strength and his smell.
“I did! I finished grading in time to celebrate New
Year’s,” he asked with a twinkle.
Ginny giggled at the pain that crossed his face
when he talked about grading.
“Did everything, you know, go okay,” Bill asked
hesitantly.
Ginny’s smile dropped from her face quickly but she
managed to throw on another weak one.
“Yes, better than anyone thought,” she said
quietly.
“Well if you ever need a shoulder to cry on or
someone to talk to, I’m here for you Gin,” Bill muttered into her hair.
“I know,” Ginny said, forcing back tears.
Bill grinned down at her and finally released her
from his embrace.
Mr. Weasley was right behind Bill, looking down at
his only daughter with a large smile.
Ginny didn’t need a coaxing to go into his arms.
When he hugged her, she felt as if there were nothing in the world that could
get her. Her father always had that kind of magic.
“We all love you pumpkin,” he whispered in her ear.
Ginny did everything she could to hold in the tears
that threatened to spill from her eyes.
“I love you all too daddy,” she said quietly.
“How are you taking things pumpkin? Are you doing
okay?” he asked.
“As okay as I’ll ever be daddy,” Ginny said, her
voice muffled by his shirt.
Mr. Weasley gave Ginny one last squeeze before
releasing her.
Ginny was going to turn back to Lucius and Draco
when she was suddenly embraced tightly by a pair of strong arms.
“Hey Ginny bean! I’ve
missed you,” a familiar voice said quietly into her ear.
Ginny gasped and squeezed back just as tightly.
“Charlie” she sighed into his chest.
“Wow sis, you’ve gotten bigger since I’ve last seen
you. How are my niece and nephew doing?” he asked.
“Just fine—even better after getting a hug from
their Uncle Charlie,” Ginny said chuckling.
“Damn right, I have a present for them upstairs.
Maybe you can come and get it after the meeting,” he said finally releasing
her.
“Of course Charlie. We can
catch up then,” Ginny said in a wobbly voice, wiping her wet cheeks from the
tears of happiness in her eyes.
When Charlie moved away, he was replaced with a set
of enthusiastic twins.
Fred and George both scooped Ginny up and hugged
her tightly.
“Hey baby sis! We wished you could have stayed a
little longer with us after Christmas” George whispered in one ear.
“Yeah sis—spending time with the Snape Manor couldn’t
have been more exciting then freezing your bum off in the mountains,” Fred whispered in her other
ear.
“I would have rather spent my day in the mountain
with my two favorite brothers over staying at that Manor,” Ginny said, squeezing
them both tightly.
“Oi!
I thought I was your favorite,” she heard Bill call from behind her.
“Ballocks! She told me I
was her favorite a long time ago,” Charlie retorted with a laugh in his voice.
“Actually, she told me before she left for break
that I was her favorite,” another familiar voice said after the twins released
her.
Ginny jumped into the arms of Ron, who chuckled and
lifted her off the ground.
“What the hell Ron? Put me down,” Ginny said
giggling like a five year old.
“Are you okay Gin? I don’t have to kill anyone do
I?” he asked into her ear.
“Not at all. I’m fine and
the twins are doing well,” Ginny said with a content sigh.
“Oh Ginny sweetie it’s so nice to have you back,”
Mrs. Weasley said, bursting from the noisy kitchen.
She pulled Ginny into a hug, squeezing her tightly.
Feeling Molly Weasley’s motherly hug sent Ginny
into a series of sobs.
“Oi Mum! What did you do to her?” Fred asked.
“Ah you know better Forge, mums hugs have always
sent made the toughest men cry,” said George.
“Quiet you two!” Mrs. Weasley said, glaring at both
boys.
They both grinned but said nothing more (something that is never good when ti comes to the Weasley twins).
“It’s not
mum’s fault guys. My hormones have made me a little more weepy than usual,”
Ginny said giving a watery smile through her tears as her mother let her go.
“I would rather she cried on my shoulder then hex
me to pieces,” Harry said pulling Ginny into a hug.
Ginny took in his scent and sagged into his
embrace. Harry could always comfort her, not matter how depressed she seemed to
be. She knew that no matter what happened in their lives in the long run, Harry
would always be a big part of hers.
“Hey Scarhead, I can cry
and hex you at the same time. It’s one of the wonders of being pregnant,” Ginny
said giggling through her tears.
Harry rolled his eyes and moved away so that
Hermione could give her a tight hug.
“I missed you so much while you were gone. How are
the twins?” she asked pulling back to touch Ginny’s swollen belly with her
fingers.
“They’re fine. They should be kicking soon
according to Madame Pompfrey,” Ginny said with a soft
smile.
“I can’t wait to see them. I have their Christmas
presents upstairs. We can have a look at them after the meeting,” Hermione said
excitedly.
“I can’t wait. But right now my feet are killing
me. Swollen ankles suck,” Ginny said with a small laugh.
“Well sit down then!
We’ll have plenty of time to talk after the meeting,” Hermione said swatting
Ginny on the shoulder.
Ginny let out another laugh, gave each of her
brothers and father a hug before allowing Lucius to usher her to a chair in the
corner of the room, near Snape.
Ginny couldn’t help but sneak a glance at the dark
man. She was surprised to see him staring at her intensely—almost longingly. She looked away before a blush could creep
into her face.
“Ah Miss Weasley, its good to see you looking so well after such a long
break. I trust you found it enjoyable for the most part,” Dumbledore
said after everyone settled into a seat.
Ginny snapped her head away from the strange sight
of Snape’s mouth curving upward and gave Dumbledore a smile that didn’t quite
reach her eyes. If one called staying in the house of hell (the Snapes) for two weeks and then getting raped a few days ago
a enjoyable vacation then hell was surly freezing over
at that very moment.
“For the most part,” she said simply.
“Excellent! Shall we begin?” he asked, turning his
twinkling eyes upon all of the Order members. Most of them gave him grave nods
to continue.
They began to go over the protection of muggle
families of the students at the school. Kingsley, Moody, and Tonks were going
over their plans to ward the homes and schedules for Order members who would
show up when the wards were breached.
“Excellent work! Severus,
did Tom mention any other attacks at the last meeting?” Dumbledore asked.
“No, but Miss Weasley may be able to get some more
information out of him since he requested her company tomorrow evening,”
Snape said smoothly.
The room automatically filled with tension.
“Really … why would Tom want to see you so soon
after your … initiation,” Dumbledore asked carefully.
“He gave Ginevra the pleasure of being his mistress,”
Lucius answered for which Ginny was grateful.
“He replaced Bella? She’s been his lover for more
than twenty years. Ginevra must have made quite an impression,” Dumbledore said
with his eyebrows reaching his hair line.
Ginny didn’t say a word. She looked down at the
table in shame.
“Ginevra, I would like a word with you after this
meeting,” Dumbledore said gently.
Ginny nodded yet did not look up. Thankfully, all
of the attention was drawn away from her.
“Alright, on to the next order of
business. As you all know, Remus has been working diligently on trying
to get the werewolves to hold off on attacking Hogwarts and other major
landmarks. What progress have you made so far my boy?” Dumbledore asked
focusing his attention on Remus.
“I’ve been working very hard and have managed to stall
the attacks. But Fenrir is still considered the head of the pack and it won’t
be long before the whole pack is pushed into attacking. I’ve tried to gain
power in the best way I could by pleasing you-know-who in doing certain tasks
but it’s not working. The rest of the members think I would make a great leader
but …” Remus paused and looked down at the table before going on.
“In order to get their full respect, I need a
mate,” he finished.
Dumbledore stroked his chin in thought.
“How does the mating process work?” he asked.
“Female werewolves can only be spotted if they
decide to uncover their scent. They also have to come to the male voluntarily
in order to be claimed properly,” Remus stopped talking abruptly.
Ginny finally looked up at Remus, curious to see
why he stopped. She had been afraid to look at him after what happened the
night he raped her. Yet, looking at him only brought her a strange sense of
peace. She faced him and nothing horrible happened.
It made her realize that she could get through something
this horrible if she simply kept a square head on her shoulders.
With that thought firmly locked in her head, she
noticed that the room was filled thickly with tension. Remus was staring at
Serena with a vacant look in his eyes.
The twinkle in Dumbledore eyes went away quickly
was replaced with an uncharacteristic dark scowl.
“Remus,” he barked leaning onto the table with both
of his arms.
Remus snapped out of his gaze and looked at
Dumbledore with a challenge in his eyes.
The air was charged with electricity. Everyone was
surprised to see Remus challenge Dumbledore in such a bold way. It went against
everything they knew about the quiet man.
“What is the meaning of this?” Dumbledore asked his
voice deathly quiet.
“She uncovered her scent and offered herself to
me,” Remus said darkly.
With agility that surprised everyone in the room,
Dumbledore jumped onto the table and swept across it with his wand pointed at
Remus’ neck.
“Explain yourself,” he
growled in a very unDumbledore like way.
“Serena offered to be my mate,” Remus said with a
little more control in his voice than before.
“Your mate?” Dumbledore
asked darkly.
“Dad, please. Remus is right. I offered to help him
gain full power by becoming his mate,” Serena said standing from her seat.
“How will you becoming his mate help him? He needs
a female werewolf,” Dumbledore said, not bothering to remove his wand from
Remus’ neck.
Serena jumped onto the table (much to all of the
young males’ appreciation since she was wearing a skirt, showing off her lacy black
knickers) and made Dumbledore lower his wand.
“That’s what we were going to talk about after the
meeting. You see, I’m a werewolf,” Serena said lightly.
Everyone stared at Serena in shock.
“Bloody hell,” Ron whispered to Harry.
“I knew there was something off about her,” Moody
muttered.
“And you thought it was better to offer yourself to
him first before any of us were informed of your condition?” Dumbledore asked
glaring at Serena.
Serena glared back.
“Well since you’ve been so busy it’s been
impossible to find the right time to tell you. I mean, what did you want me to
do when I first met you? Hiya sir, guess
what? I’m your daughter, a famous plus size model in the United States. Oh and
by the way, I’m a werewolf. I knew you were older and I was told to be
careful about what I told you. I didn’t want you to have a heart attack before
I even got to know you,” Serena snapped putting her hands on her hips.
“If my heart was strong enough to endure the act of
conceiving you, then it was strong enough for you to tell me everything I
needed to know to begin with,” Dumbledore snapped back.
“Not according to my mother. She told me you were
too frail to take that kind of news right away,” Serena threw back.
Dumbledore snorted.
“If I’m a frail man then hell should be freezing
over quite soon. Your mother was just trying to protect you. I don’t know what
in her right mind made her think I would reject you just because you were a
werewolf,” Dumbledore snapped crossing his arms.
“Can you blame her? She kept me from you for
eighteen years and decided to throw me back into your lap. The last thing she
wanted was for me to be sent back to the United States because you can’t handle
a werewolf. She said she remembered your complaints about the treatment of
werewolves here and didn’t want anything to happen to me because of it,” Serena
said rubbing her forehead with one of her hands.
“She should know me better than that! She should
know that I would never turn away anyone for something they cannot control,”
Dumbledore said, throwing his arms up in the air in frustration.
“Albus, maybe you both should finish this
conversation in your office,” McGonagall said before Serena could retort.
Both Serena and Dumbledore looked around the table,
taking note of the fascinated expressions on the faces of all of the Order
members.
“Of course Minerva, I apologize. Serena and Remus,
you will both floo with me to my office. Severus, I want you to bring Ginevra
back to Hogwarts and wait for me to floo your quarters. For now this meeting is
adjourned,” Dumbledore said, glaring darkly at the young men who were looking
up Serena’s skirt.
Remus growled particularly at Fred and George who
were grinning at each other in a very unsettling way. He had a feeling they
were planning something with his mate and he didn’t like it.
Serena gave Dumbledore one more teenage daughter
glare before gracefully walking across the table and jumping down. Dumbledore
gave a fatherly scowl at her back and followed suit.
Ginny finally blinked and turned to Lucius who had
a smirk on his face. Draco was laughing silently under his breath and Snape’s
lips were twitching. Ginny could have sworn he looked as if he were going to
laugh.
He stood abruptly and turned to Ginny, his face
carefully blank.
“Come along Miss Weasley. We wouldn’t want to
disobey Dumbledore,”
Ginny looked to Lucius.
“When will I see you again?” she asked quietly.
“I’m not sure love—your training is finished for
now. I don’t know how Dumbledore will feel in letting you come over just to
come over,”
“I could ask him and owl you about it later,” Ginny
said.
“No—I’ll ask him. You just get some rest and try to
get your homework done okay?”
“Today Miss Weasley,” Snape growled.
Ginny squeezed Lucius’ hand and followed Snape to
the fire place.
They both called out Severus Snape’s Private
Quarters before being swept away into a flurry of fire.
