One after another Harry watched frustrated as students passed through the barrier at platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross. A week and three days passed since he sent his letter, and a week and three days passed without a hint of a reply from brown haired girl.
Imagining the worst, Harry barely got any sleep and when he wasn’t trying to sleep he was begging Dumbledore for answers. The older wizard just smiled and asked him to be patient but assuring Harry that everything was alright with the two students. But Harry was not persuaded.
“Oi, do you think they will come to the station?” Ron asked, as he scanned the station. Both students were more than a little anxious.
“I am not sure,” Harry replied as he moved away from a group of first years struggling with their trunks. “Professor Snape said they would be on the...” He was cut off by Ron’s shout.
“That must be them!” Following Ron’s finger, Harry watched with mixed emotions as he caught sight of his enemy.
Skidding to a halt a familiar white head stopped and turned to face the brick wall, Harry watched with narrowing eyes as the short shapely familiar figure came sliding into the warlock’s open arms. Harry’s stomach dropped as Hermione smiled beautifully at the bastard that still held her steady. With a soft touch the small sorceress gently squeezed his upper arm appreciatively before straightening herself.
“Oi Hermione! Over here!” Ron waved enthusiastically.
Interrupting her from whatever she was saying to the git, Harry watched as her gaze finally settled onto Ron then turned to him; he could not lie and say that her smile, when their eyes meet, made his body grow warmer.
“Why is Malfoy following Hermione?” Ginny’s soft voice broke him out of his trance, Harry turned to see the bewitching green eyes of the red head.
“It’s an incredibly long story. You will have to have Hermione explain it to you when we get on.”
“Ok, but I wou...” an almost deafening squeal interrupted Ginny’s response.
Harry looked up in surprise before he quickly caught the brown haired girl in an abrupt hug. The moment he felt her soft arms wrap around his neck everything around him disappeared. All the noise from the station seemed a mile away. Her sweet smell was intoxicating. Tightening his arms around her waist and back he returned her hug.
"Wow this is just unbelievably sickening," Malfoy's voice sufficiently broke the peaceful moment. Regrettable Harry loosened his hold of the Gryffindor girl as she pulled away to look back at his enemy.
"Whatever Draco," she seemed oblivious to the collective gasp from her friends. Harry was just about to grab Hermione's shoulder and turn her back to him and make her explain what the hell was going on. A little over a week ago she despised this git now she was smiling and referring to this bastard by his first name. But before he could lift his hand she continued talking. "I wouldn't find it disgusting at all if you went and hugged your friends."
"I should hope you would. I would think you know me well enough to know if I have went mad or not." Malfoy looked over her head and meet Harry's eyes and winked.
Harry wasn't sure if Ron or Ginny caught the gesture because Harry was too livid to even react.
"What the hell?!" Ron just now cueing onto the conversation, "What the hell did you do while you were gone? And why are you two talking as if you were long time friends?" At this point Ron was starting to get confused and frustrated.
"I think I would like to know the answers as well." Harry grumbled to Hermione, but he never took his eyes off the smirking Slytherin.
The moment she was dreading was upon her. Looking at Ron she swallowed nervously as he waited impatiently for her to answer. If she didn’t answer this delicately, anything mentioning her and Draco sleeping together, there was a high probability that there could be a duel.
But if she answered too delicately she knew for sure Draco would happily pipe in and tell the two Gryffindors something akin to them being close, wrapped in and innuendo just for fun. And if that happened, Harry was going to turn his hard gaze from Draco to her and strangle the answers out of her, he looked just that mad. Lastly she looked at Ginny, who looked confused but worried for her friend. Ginny was keen enough to recognize the tough situation she was literally surrounded by.
Seeing her friend's predicament Ginny decided to step in the pit of burning testosterone. "Let's discuss this in the privacy of the train; we are starting to gather a crowd." There small group was literally surrounded by familiar spectators. Ginny turned to Harry and grabbed his arm gently turning him away from his staring battle with the smirking Slytherin. "Let Hermione put her bags away and we will go find a private cabin to talk in."
Ginny sighed inwardly in part relief and part longing as Harry's gaze meet hers and softened for a brief moment.
Harry let Ginny pull him away as the train whistle informed everyone to board. The muscles in his jaw flexed angrily as he watched the Slytherin help Hermione transform her shrunken bags and hand the luggage to the attendants.
Harry didn't get a chance to hear what the grinning Slytherin said to the still worried Hermione, because Ginny had already lead him into the train to find a cabin.
Draco knew it was childish to provoke Potter but by the Gods he loved it so. He could barely keep back a chuckle as he followed the petite Gryffindor down the hall of the locomotive.Stopping in front of the cabin door Hermione turned and looked at him, "Maybe I should go in alone for now and just calmly explain everything to them." Her brown eyes begged him to understand, even though he didn't want to Draco found himself not able to deny her request.
"Tell you what Princess," he gently lifted her chin so her eyes meet his fully "I will go change and talk to Blaise for a few and then I will come back to see how you fared with Potter and Weasel Boy." Draco watched the soft pink trance-inducing lips of hers smile softly in agreement. Every fiber of his body tightened as he stopped his thumb from brushing her plump lip.
She must have noticed the direction of his gaze, because with his sheer delight he felt a small shiver run through her slight form.
The abrupt sound of the door being forcefully slid open caused Hermione to jump back away from his touch. Draco nearly laughed as he watched her guilty eyes settle on Potter's seething gaze. But his laughter died the moment Potter grabbed Hermione's arm and tugged her into the cabin.
Deciding not to break Scarhead's jaw Draco stepped back and smiled evilly at Potter before turning to walk away.
"I will be back Hermione."
Even though the door slammed shut Draco could still make out the small "ok."
Draco was going to have break Potter's nasty little habit of touching things that didn’t belong to him.
~*~
Every ounce of energy was depleted after her "explanation" to her friends. First she had to explain everything to Ginny, who thought the entire situation was amusing. Then subsequently fill in the rest of the info to Harry and Ron. Trying to make the story sound believable without telling them the entire truth was exhausting. Especially so when she had to endure the inquisition during her account.
Nimbly she avoided the crucial details such as their sleeping arrangements, there really bad fights, and most importantly the incident on Boleslaw’s tool shed. Just thinking about it caused her to shudder and instantly miss Draco's familiar presence.
'Merlin Hermione, what are you thinking.' She was starting to depend on Draco too much. However, she knew she would just be lying to herself if she didn’t admit that deep down inside she had grown quite comfortable with is constant presence. This can't be healthy. There was no way they could be around each other this school year as much as they were this summer. The thought of her upcoming busy school schedule and Draco's hectic social life made her inwardly sigh.
After they were satisfied with her answers, the mood in the cabin immediately reverted to its normal jovial atmosphere. Hermione laughed as Ginny and Ron bickered about who was better Quidditch player. Looking past the two redheads Hermione caught Harry's the green eyes staring directly at her.
Something in her stomach clenched as she watched his eyes darken with something she couldn't place. For the first time in her friendship with Harry his expression was unreadable, no smile, no frown, just something else. The gaze became so intense Hermione abruptly stood and quickly dismissed herself to go change. Any excuse to escape the quandary of questions her mind was asking at his expression, not to mention make the nervous knot in her stomach dissipate.
Stepping into the lavatory Hermione quickly changed out of her jeans into her school skirt and button down blouse. Unlike other girls in her class Hermione's skirt was exactly school mandated length, while her shirt was loose and unfitted. The only thing that made her uniform a little different this year was her nice new robes Draco convinced her to get.
Stepping out of the bathroom Hermione wasn't sure what she felt when she saw Harry standing there waiting. With her clothes still folded in her arm Hermione silently watched in quasi unexplained foreboding and curiosity as Harry pulled her further down the hallway into an empty alcove.
"So why didn’t you respond to the letter I sent you?" Hermione could tell Harry was not going to let get away without answering.
"I wanted to Harry, it’s just..." She couldn't look him in the eye while her mind was trying to come up with a conceivable lie.
Harry placed his hand on her shoulder causing her to look up, he knew she was hiding something from him, Harry was determined to get some answers. Never has Hermione ever kept anything away from him, they were best friends dammit, she was supposed to confide.
"Hermione, you have to understand how worried I was for you," he spoke softly. Harry almost had to bite his tongue from groaning as he stared into her innocent brown eyes. Confusion laced with naiveté swirled in the brown orbs as the small Gryffindor absently bit her pink lips. "When I didn't hear back, you have no idea what my imagination did to me."
"Oh Harry I didn’t mean for you to worry!" For the second time that morning Hermione's soft arms wrapped around his neck. "I am so sorry, it’s just there was so much going on I never had time to write back."
Harry was just about to take advantage of the moment and press her soft body even more to his, but Hermione jerked away from him with a hiss. Confused Harry watched her hands go to her necklace while she her eyes widened at something past his shoulder.
Quickly Harry spun around to be greeted with a very sharp looking grin from Malfoy. Dark almost black eyes stared at him silently as the grin grew wider. Harry wasn't sure if he could honestly admit to himself that he didn't feel fear creep down his spine. Never in his life did he encounter a human with an insane grin that also contained that many sharp teeth.
"Draco stop...AHHhh!!!" The loud sound of an explosion filled the air while the train jerked violently. Hermione fell backwards hitting the wall while Harry toppled sideways into the wall to her left. Hermione looked to see Draco's clawed hand gripping the wall keeping him upright. Hermione jumped as she heard screams from students coming from each side of the hall, and the familiar sounds of magic being casted. They were under attack.
The moment the three realized this, wand and scepters were immediately brandished. Dropping her clothes Hermione stepped towards Draco.
"Ok stay here Hermione, I am..."
"The hell I will Draco. Wherever you go I go to, we are partners-- remember!?!" Draco quickly stole a glance at the Gryffindor before looking back down the hall. Her face told him it was a losing battle to argue. Taking off his robe he dropped it on her piles of clothes.
"Ok Princess lets go." Looking to the now standing Gryffindor male Draco began, "Potter go find Weasley and take the front of the train Hermione and I will take the back."
"There is no way in hell I am letting Hermione..."
"Harry there is no time we have got to protect the students. It makes no sense if we all go in one direction." Hermione yelled, "Please Harry go and be careful I will be with Draco."
Harry watched both students turn around and go through the doors to the next car. Cursing aloud he ran the opposite direction to find Ron.
~*~
"Fire aalto (fire surge)" Impossibly red flames flowed from Draco's scepter and engulfed the death eater before he reacted to Draco's presence. Turning quickly Draco watched relieved as Hermione used a curse that instantly stole the oxygen away from the death eater behind her.
With quick work they gathered all the students into the cabins putting strong locking charms on the doors after giving all the scared students quick instructions to Confringo (blasting curse) anyone they see that isn't a student or a professor.
As they ran to the next car Hermione took a glance out the window. "Draco look!" She pointed at the black robed figured flying parallel to the train.
"We need to stop those bastards from getting in!" he growled. Running to the end of the car, he opened the door the outside space between the cars. Turning he grabbed the ladder that went up to the top of the train, putting his boot on the bottom rung he paused and looked at her. "Stay here and stop them from the windows."
"No Draco..."
"Hermione it’s not a suggestion!" He snarled at her, "For once just trust me, there is no way you will be able to fight on top of the moving train with those loafers for one" he said gesturing towards her sensible school mandated shoes, "secondly princess I have claws if I happen to slip."
Biting her lip she knew he was right, she would just be a liability. Grabbing his collar she jerked the surprised Slytherin closer to her face. "I swear you better come back."
With a wink and a smirk she watched the Slytherin hoist himself to the top. Quickly she opened both windows on either side of the dining car and stunned each death eater that approached. Hermione still could not comprehend the bold attack on the school. Her thoughts were cut short when she dodged a blue flame that came through the open window.
Without looking at the figure she whispered a curse. His yells quickly told her tangling curse worked. With only a second glance she saw the man’s robes tighten and wrap around his body until his body fell lifeless from his broom crashing to the hard ground.
~*~
Ron, Harry, and Ginny had their hands full as they fought off Death eaters trying to come through the windows. They locked as many of the students they could inside of their cabins.
After Harry left Malfoy and Hermione, he meet up with Professor Snape and professor Mcgonagall who were cursing and killing death eater with alarming speed for two seasoned professors. Snape quickly ordered Harry to protect the second car.
"Someone is fighting on the roof!" Ginny yelled. Harry had a sinking feeling in his stomach as he rushed over to the open window doing his best to look out and up. His eyes widened as he watched a very mutated Draco rip open the throat of the Death eater in front of him with his clawed hands. Just as smoothly Draco swiveled around to kick the other approaching Death Eater off the train.
Worriedly Harry looked side to side looking for the brown haired girl. Surely she wouldn't be on the roof as well. Horrified Harry recognized the train's next designation. They were reaching the giant gorge. A small bridge only large enough for one train over the giant gorge, hundreds of feet below was the white churning froth of the rushing rapids below.
Looking back up Harry yelled out. "Malfoy watch out!"
~
Sending out another curse of poisoned needles at another opponent, Draco briefly began to wonder how many more of these fuckers there were. He had to have taken out twenty on the roof alone. From the corner of his eye he could see even more were being picked off from the sides of the dining car.
Draco could feel the train curve slightly as it raced towards the gorge. Draco figured this was the best time to go back to the dining car. With the curve of the train he could clearly see Hermione standing in the dining car breathing heavily as she looked around her for more enemies.
As he stepped further in her direction he watched as she looked up at him to meet his eyes. Expecting to see her smile or give him a relieved look, he was taken back when her eyes widened and her scepter came up and pointed directly at him. Draco didn’t even have a chance to make out her screams at him; white hot pain hit him square in the back launching him off the edge of the train.
~
Harry tried to use a levitation spell but Malfoy's body was falling too fast.
At that moment an earth shattering scream caused everyone to cover their ears as they looked in the direction for which it came. Glass exploded from the dining car before Harry watched in horror as Hermione dived out of the window.
"HERMIONE NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Harry, Ron, and Ginny seemed to scream the moment there mind allowed them to accept the sight.
~
Hermione breathed heavily as she cursed hopefully the last robed figure. As the train started to turn she looked up to see Malfoy walking in her direction on the car ahead of hers. His hair blew wildly around him while his scepter hung down at his thigh in his grasp.
Before she could smile at the white haired man she noticed a figure behind him. She quickly lifted her scepter to kill the man but he was too fast. The air in her lungs seemed to disappear as she watched a moment of pain cross the Slytherin's face before falling towards the gorge.
Air found its way to her lungs again as she screamed in anger. Without thinking Hermione dived out of the now shattered window. Hermione didn’t hear the screams of her friends; she didn’t hear the wind rushing past her, or her clothes flapping wildly all she could see was the limp falling body of Draco.
"DRACO WAKE UP! PLEASE WAKE UP! DRACOOOO!!" She kept screaming as she got closer, she was so scared he wasn't going to make it.
Instinctively straightening out her body she felt herself slice through the space between his body and hers like an arrow. With her hands outstretched she desperately reached for him.
She was so close but he seemed to be just out of her reach. With each passing second they were getting further and further away from the train and closer to the rushing rapids.
With one last effort Hermione channeled all her magic to make her fly faster. Her hands grabbed his wrist, and then she stopped.
~
The jerking of his body going from falling to not falling helped Draco to wake up. Looking down he confirmed his memories that he was indeed thrown off the train. Looking up Draco was blessed with the beautiful sight of Hermione.
Though it wasn't the exact picture of Gryffindor he was expecting. She seemed frozen in time. Completely white eyes stared back at him while she wore an angry scowl. Her hair just floated in the air as if underwater going against the laws of physics.
"Hello love."
With eerie silence and supernatural strength the sorceress raised his arm above her head until his face was at eye level. Staring at him a moment longer, he felt her start to fly towards the train.
When they hovered over the train he felt her grip loosen. Landing in a crouch Draco looked back at the floating Gryffindor. Taking note of her necklace still on her neck, Draco could only assume she was angry...more like livid.
As usual no time was given for him to say anything, before Draco heard a large crash of magic against the side of the train. The violent jolt nearly knocked him off a second time, but this time he quickly transformed his wand into a silver broomstick.
Screams from beneath him caused Draco to take a second look at the train, shocked he watched as the now derailed train started to fall in the gorge.
Flying towards the falling train he saw Hermione beneath the falling locomotive.
With her hands outstretched over her head, while her scepter floated between them. The scepter glowed brightly as she single handedly stopped the train from falling any further.
"Draco you must stop them," her voice was unearthly as it resonated calmly belying her fierce expression and her pulsating eyes. "I can't hold the train if they continue to attack it."
Without hesitating Draco flew to the other side of the train where the attack came originated. About thirty or more death eaters floated in the air in front of the falling train while a group of ten stood in the tree line at the edge of the gorge.
~
Harry wasn't sure which one he was supposed to be focused on, the fact that Hermione was holding most of the derailed train in midair or the death eaters surrounding the white haired git on the other side of the train.
Looking at Malfoy students watched in horror stricken awe as he summoned the forest to life around the group of death eaters. Each robed figure was impaled with needle like branches before he or she could escape.
Making quick work of his enemies students cringed as Malfoy let out a quick arch of his silver scepter sending out a powerful slicing charm through the air. If the robed figure wasn't killed instantly, they were knocked within range of the cursed forest. Vicious looking vines snaked out to grab its victims and drag them screaming into the darkness.
~
Draco scanned the area quickly for more enemies before turning back around to check on Hermione. With a loud bang accompanied by student's shocked screams, the train was lifted back onto the tracks.
Frowning, Draco looked around for the sorceress. Renewed screams from the train caused Draco to swivel around on his broom.
Ginny Weasley popped out of the window near him, "Something is wrong Malfoy, Hermione is falling!!"
Leaning forward on his broom Draco raced over the train to the other side. Ignoring the screams of the students calling out Hermione's name, he flew as fast as he could to the girl’s slowly descending form.
Thankfully the only reason she was drifting and not falling was in part that nearly every student had his or her wand pointed out of the window, trying to stop her fall turning it into a slow drift.
The moment she was in reach Draco quickly hooked his arm around her waist pulling her onto the broom in front of him. Making a quick turn he headed back to the train ignoring the applause of his classmates.
"Dammit Hermione what the fuck?!" Yelling as he flew back to the train he caught glances of her face, which was sagging against his neck.
"I am so tired." He felt her sluggish movements as her arms wrapped around his waist weekly.
Landing on the outside ledge of the last car, Draco opened the door and tugged the Gryffindor inside.
Looking around he gathered they were in the luggage car.
"Wait here." Leaving her near the door, he walked to the end of the car looking around carefully. With a quick locking charm on the door. Draco walked back to the Gryffindor slumped against the wall.
Grabbing her wrist Draco tugged her down onto his lap as he sat down on the nearby trunks. Once he felt soft roundness of her bum hit his lap, Draco realized the extent of her fatigue. Pushing her hair from her face Draco finally Draco noticed how pale she looked.
Something was wrong.
Hermione Granger never dazed out. Hermione Granger wouldn't let this incident tire her out this bad.
Draco clenched his teeth at the only possibility. Grabbing both of her shoulders he forced her to face head on.
"Hermione Granger were you hit with a curse?"
Draco let out a loud curse as he watched her nervously bite her bottom lip.
~
Before she had time to respond Draco abruptly stood up nearly toppling her on the floor. She would have winced if she had the strength as Draco roughly sat her down in his previous seat.
“Dammit Granger what kind of spell was it? When the fuck did this happen? How the hell did you just let yourself get hit!!!?" Hermione could not believe the rage she was seeing from him right now. The muscles in his jaw twitched violently as his narrowed eyes stared her down.
Despite her fatigued foggy mind, Hermione took a menacing step towards the white hair haired student.
"Now you listen here Draco Malfoy," she emphasized each syllable with her finger jabbing at his firm chest. "Some nerve you have asking me how I got hit when I recall saving you narrow arse from a watery death."
"Narrow?"
Ignoring him she continued, "And for your information I was fighting a dozen or so of those horrible monsters at once." at this point she was sure she was hitting him rather than jabbing, but her anger was making her oblivious. His cool expression as she vented just seemed to spur her on. "And on further note Draco the only reason why that stupid stun curse had any delayed effect was because I realized I was flying after I positioned the train." she didn’t mean for the last part to come out in a strangled cry.
A moment of silence passed between them before she felt his warm hand on her back pushing her towards his body. The warm feeling of his chest under her cheek caused her to bite back a sigh. Crumpling his school shirt in her fist Hermione closed her eyes and listened to the strong steady heartbeat.
"You scared me so bad Draco." The hand on her waist pressed her more firmly to his person in response. "I nearly fainted when I saw you fall."
Feeling both hands grip her shoulders, she tilted her head back as he leaned her away from him to look at her. Hermione watched nearly mesmerized as his once enraged face held a cool sardonic smirk while a mischievous storm brewed in his eyes. "Words cannot convey how inconvenient that would have been."
Smiling Hermione knew that was as close to a thank you she was going to get.
Stepping back she let out a large yawn. Just as she was about to exhale, the interior door to luggage car burst open, with her eyes wide and her mouth still agape, Hermione watched as Harry and Ron stumbled into the doorway.
"How the fuck you two survived this long is beyond me," Hermione turned at Draco's venomous snarl as he lowered his drawn scepter at the Gryffindor males. "What the hell possessed you to burst through a locked door like that after the attack we just faced."
"Fuck you Malfoy! Why the hell was the door locked you prat?!" Harry's face was twisted in rage as his green eyes stared daggers at Malfoy. Hermione had seen Harry angry before but this anger seemed so different an uncontrolled.
"I refuse to answer such an asinine question. Obviously you're just not catching up on the fact that we were under attack not but ten minutes ago."
"Sod off Malfoy." Ron chimed in "What the hell were you on about taking Hermione all the way to the end of the train like this, huh?!"
With a destructive smile Draco stood behind her and put each hand on her shoulders while easily looking over her head at his enemies. "Why to have my wicked way with her of course."
Hearing not only the smile in his voice along with his inappropriate suggestion caused Hermione to flush uncontrollably.
The moment Harry noticed her reaction he came unglued.
The nerves in her body didn’t even allow her to react as Harry quickly crossed the room with his wand pointed above her head. However, it was the deep growl that emitted from around her that was worrisome. The hands on her shoulders disappeared instantly before the tall Slytherin figure phased before her in a light puff of swirling magic.
"Wrong move Potty." Draco's deep rumbling snarl startled her body to move out of its momentary shock. Running from around them Hermione gasped as both boys had their weapons pointed at each other.
"ENOUGH!" A swirl of black robes flurried past her to stand in between the two seething students. Hermione sighed in relief as she looked at Professor Snape's disapproving scowl.
"This is the least appropriate time for this nonsense." Waiting until each boy to lower his wand the professor crossed his arms before informing them that the aurors have arrived. "They will be trailing the train the remainder of the way. A meeting will be held before the feast about this heinous attack."
"Come on Hermione." Harry grabbed her wrist tugging her behind him towards the doorway.
"Harry, stop it you're acting crazy." Digging her heels she stopped the curly haired wizard. Seeing the pained expression on his face she softened her tone, "Harry I know you don’t get along with Draco, and I don’t expect you too." she quickly added when he saw his features harden. "But he did just save our lives."
"As far as I am concerned Hermione you saved us." Harry growled before tugging her back in motion.
With one arm trapped in Harry's firm grip she tried to stop but her other arm was captured by the second Gryffindor's quidditch grip.
"Yeah, all Malfoy did was nearly get himself killed if it wasn't for you." Ron quipped with acrimony.
Looking over her shoulder she was drug down the hall she mouthed 'I am sorry' to the stoic Slytherin.
~*~
Snape watched as both Weasely and Potter drag Granger down the hall. Snape didn’t need to guess at Draco's mood as waves of unreleased magic swirled next to him.
"I have made up my mind that after that fuckhead Potter kills Voldemort," Snape arched his eyebrow as he watched the boys eyes fade to blackness; "I am going to kill him myself."
"I could be wrong but I don’t think Miss Granger would take that too well." Snape stated as he began to walk alongside the warlock back towards the student's cabins.
"She is just going to have to get over it." Snape had to stop himself from rolling his eyes.
"That's likely."
~*~
After they left the luggage car Hermione was thanked by nearly every student that happened to be out of there cabin. Seeing how pale she looked Harry quickly rushed her past the students into their cabin.
Looking out the window Harry watched as two aurors whizzed past his window. There were about twenty aurors assigned to the Hogwarts train. Even though he trusted the capabilities of the ministry, Harry kept his wand on his lap for good measure.
Their cabin was silent everyone excluding himself was asleep. To his right Ron was snoring against the wall while his sister across from him slept lightly in the seated position. Harry let his mind wonder as he stared at the seat across from him, Hermione was curled on the bench with her head in Ginny’s lap. Each girl was tired but Hermione was sleeping deeply.
Staring past his reflection in the darkened window he began to reflect on his memories from the attack. None of them were good. From there very beginning Harry felt helpless as he watched that ponce Draco take his friend away.
He wanted to scream as he watched Hermione demand to go with Malfoy. Rage that was simply indescribable coursed through his veins as watched Hermione wrap her arms around Malfoy’s waist. Bile rose in his throat when he watched her delicate features flush at the git’s lude suggestion in the luggage car.
What the hell was going on?! Two weeks ago they looked as if they were going to kill each other. But now things were drastically different. Sure Harry listened to her as she explained the ordeals they had to go through while training. Although he still wasn’t hearing the details as to how they became such good friends.
Harry was still trying the process the fact she had to actually spend months with that fucker, his imagination churned with scenarios as to what she had to endure.
But the friendship wasn’t what made him boil in rage, it was that bastard’s change of attitude. The way he looked at her was easily recognizable, Harry saw the same possessive attachment in his own eyes when he looked at the brown haired women. Draco Malfoy wanted Hermione.
Clenching his fist Harry was resolute in one thought, he was not going to let that bastard have his way.
