Blaise
"Thank you both for coming over for tea. I seems that I haven't talked to either of you in ages, everyone is far too busy with family and work." Narcissa cooed.
"It's no problem, Mrs. Malfoy, we both enjoy your company, don't we Pans?" I asked Pansy looking over to her with a smile. We honestly did enjoy her company.
"Oh yes, both of our mothers were saying to us, just the other day, that we should all have a dinner party soon, so us girls can catch up on all of our gossip." Pansy gave Narcissa a devilish smirk.
Narcissa put down her cup of tea. "That's a grand idea, Pansy. I'll have that planned out in no time whatsoever, and then I could introduce you to my friends stunning daughter, who I picked out for my darling Draco. Oh yes, we can have that party by this weekend at the earliest."
"Has Draco met this witch yet?" I asked her honestly interested. The faster Draco met another woman to focus on, the better.
"No, not yet, she went to Beauxbatons Academy, and she is quite young, but that's perfect since she will still have plenty of child bearing years for quite sometime."
The blazing roar of the fireplace startled us all and we looked up simultaneously to see Draco hobble out into the sitting room. Having noticed his bleeding and swollen face, we all stood and Narcissa ran out to him.
"Draco. What in the world happened to you, my dear boy?" Narcissa looked frazzled with worry seeing her son's face bruised and swollen.
Draco looked around the best he could seeing as he had one eye swollen shut. "I'm fine, mother. Leave it alone, I'm going to my room. Send Winky up to see to my healing."
He marched off with as much dignity he could muster, considering, but not before he made eye contact with me for a moment. I didn't know Weasley had it in him. I smirked, but felt a tad guilty. I figured Weasley would strategize besting Draco since he was an ace chess player, not immediately go and try and kill the poor bloke. Looks like the poor bastard got what he deserved in the end. It served him right. Weasley was taller and had a more burley build then Draco. His punches must have hurt worse then a hundred stinging jinxes, and anger, no doubt helped pave the way to Draco's but kicking.
After Narcissa ordered her house elf to attend to her son, she tried to regain her composure as best as she could. "I'm sorry about that. I have no idea what transpired today, but he seems to be fine." She lied as smoothly as you could, but she could not hide the creases on her forehead that I read as tension. I figured a few kind words would settle her weary heart.
"Don't worry about him. He's a man, and men can handle a row here and there. Now, back to our conversation, tell me more about his beautiful intended."
Narcissa smiled, and went into detail about Draco's future wife and the dinner party where we would all be meeting her.
Draco
I walked still slightly light-heated to the large ornate mirror above my hand-crafted dresser to check my reflection. What I saw staring back at me disgusted me, and I punched the mirror in anger, shattering it into pieces, feeling slightly better after seeing the carnage. Fucking Weasley and his damn sodding, brainless, thick-head. Why the fuck did he show up so early? How in the hell did I get bested by that destitute pauper?
I ignored my house elf that had materialized, magically healing my wounds, while I paced the room in vexation. Winky also fixed my mirror and then yelped in fright before scurrying away. Ronald Weasley was going to rue the day that he messed with a Malfoy. But what was I going to do exactly? I could make him lose his job with a long drawn out spin of my own of what happened, that would be filled with lies, or perhaps I could ruin Hermione's reputation, and tell people how she shamelessly threw herself at me. I could also use all of my contacts and ruin Flourish and Blotts, running it to the ground with bad publicity. The possibilities were endless. Just when I started to calm down, there was a knock at my bedroom door.
"Who is it?" I yelled, displeased at whoever was bothering me, when I obviously wanted to be alone.
"It's me Draco, can I come in?" Blaise said through the door.
I gave him my consent, and he walked in, and sat down on a chase I had in front of my window in the corner.
"You alright, mate?"
"I'm fine." I didn't know what else to say to Blaise. He had seen firsthand what my schemes had done to me, and I didn't want to hear him say 'I told you so'.
"Weasley?" he asked.
"Yeah, that bastard came home when I had just stopped by to talk to Granger. I hadn't even made it inside the bloody house yet, and then he goes all nutters on me. And before you start gloating, I don't want to hear it. Right now, I want to think about how I'm going to make that sod pay for deigning to touch me."
"Look, mate, why don't you just let this go? Leave Weasley and his wife be, and just get on with your life, besides, if you make trouble, then more people are bound to find out about all of this. Do you really want anymore gossip to get back to Scorpius?"
"What are you on about, Blaise? You saw my face when I came in here, How do you expect me to let that go?"
"Why don't we have a drink to calm you down, and talk about something else. I hear from your mom that there might be a dinner party this weekend." Blaise called out for my elf, Winky to bring us some of my Muggle Brandy. Thank goodness for Blaise. He was a good friend, he abandoned Pansy and my mother to come up here and cheer me up, and after the day I had, I most definitely needed to drink myself into a stupor and then pass out.
A/N: Poor Draco didn't expect to see anyone in his home after his butt kicking. Tell me what you think.
