Falling into Destiny
Chapter Eighteen
You started to curl into yourself as reality cruelly set in. It was obvious to you what had just happened. You could still feel him from the inside for Merlin's sake. Denying the obvious would have been too much even for you. What made it worse was that as you withdrew in towards yourself you felt him sliding out in a tortuously slow way. He might have softened already but even with that the sensations your movements invoked still felt good.
If you ignored your conscious you knew instinctively that you could still enjoy yourself. The very realization of that as you continued to pull away from him made you feel sick. The urge to manipulate his body and his will was quite strong. They were the beasts behind the curtain that you tried to ignore. Just knowing they were there brought out more shame than anyone else would have realized. Like you told your father...you didn't want to be like this. You didn't want to become what you feared - a sub sentient, sex crazed beast who didn't consider other people beyond sustainable and pleasure.
You jumped as you felt Draco's fingers splash out over you lower stomach. There was an exhaustion to him that was palpable and yet his hands portrayed a certain strength. You clenched your teeth tightly as you fought the rising bile. His other arm slide underneath your shoulder in a rather possessive manner as his energy continued to seep into you in a slow but steady pattern. You felt him lifting some of his weight off of you as his hand moved from your stomach to the bed.
Draco pushed his body upwards, eating into any of the room you had gained by trying to withdraw from him and stroking a dangerous fire all at the same time. He might not have been ready for round two just yet but this was something that you'd literally been born for. And that difference was made all the more apparent as you failed to shut down your reactions to his movement.
"Draco," you tried to bring up anything that would help the situation but nothing came to mind.
Your tongue felt heavy. You squeezed your eyes closed as moisture started to gather. In that moment you felt like you were a horrible person and yet you didn't know what you could do to change.
Draco moved his weight towards the arm which was hooked around yours. It let his other hand travel down between yours and his body to grasp himself. Despite not being ready, Draco used his hand to help him sheath himself back into you. Your eyes snapped open as you grasped. You felt an exhilarating rush of heat even as he weakly returned to distributing his weight.
"Draco," you spoke up in a pleading tone. "You can't."
He scuffed as he rose his head up off of your collarbone. "Yes, I can."
He was determined. You could practically taste that in the air as he took in deep breathes, his lips fluttering over your skin as he fought with his body. It was like he was trying to force his way through the recovery period.
"D--D," you started to stumble over your words when you felt him shift. It felt better than words could describe to be so full.
Your inability to speak even for that split second made Draco smile. You were more inclined to think that he was smirking but in reality you wouldn't have been able to feel that like you had.
"Stop" you whispered as you gasped at the sensations, which really made you sound unconvincing.
"Can't you just shut up and enjoy it for once?" Draco asked as he rose his head up.
"You're going to hurt yourself," you tried another approach.
He stared down at you. His bangs were all messed up and there was sweat on his face. But the absolute focus on his face made you pause. In that moment he didn't seem like he was a child. And considering that he started to swell from inside of you he certainly didn't feel like it.
You tried one last time to move away from him but even you had to admit that it was a weak attempt. Draco's hold on your shoulder gave him the leverage he needed to give a solid starting thrust.
You gasped his name out as he slowly started to rock. Each movement stroked something inside of you that you would never have been able to reach on your own. Your fingers curled around his still clothed shoulders as you tried not to focus on how good and right this felt. Your head turned and tossed to the side as you tried to make sure you responded as little as possible. He was impossible to ignore entirely.
He felt like liquid fire as it ran through your body. Each stroke felt like static. Your legs felt tight as they clenched around his body despite the fact that you hadn't intended that. Your fingernails pulled at the fabric he still wore as Draco readjusted his arms to give him the best angle he could get. You felt every little movement on an intimate. And despite yourself it wasn't long before you moved right along side him, or under him as the case would be.
By that time you'd stopped keeping track of his features. You'd closed your eyes and just focused on the movement. It was easier that way. You could ignore the way his chest swelled up with pride. Or the way his eyes lit up as he found that he had as still was accomplishing what he wanted. You didn't see his exhilaration as you not only submitted but joined him in the race to the finish.
That also meant that you didn't realize the toll that was being inflicted on him until the end. You felt him release his seed almost like a canon, as though even he hadn't expected it. Draco's arm shook in exhaustion as his heart raced inside of his chest desperately. You couldn't have known but to him parts of his body felt numb. He had barely been able to shift onto the bed beside you as the last of his strength gave out.
What a sight you and he made. His pants, shoes, and socks were the only things missing but the rest of him looked like it had been put through the ringer regardlessly. At some point his outer jacket had started to get unbuttoned and his hair really was a mess. His skin had a certain shallow pallor despite the fact that he should be flushed and sweat had accumulated like a fine dust. The later could be said about you as well but unlike Draco, your skin was flushed and practically glowing. The robe you'd taken from Adam was the only thing you had on and technically it did zero for modesty. It was splashed open and bunched up underneath your
"Do you feel looked after now?" Draco asked in a dry, exhausted but somehow focused voice.
"Show, don't tell."..."If you want to be my husband---"
"If? We're already married. You're my fucking wife."
"Then why haven't you been taking care of me?You know exactly what I want ...what I need from you right now and you want to go off and fight? I should find a new husband."
You turned your head to see him. You took in his state with no small amount of shock. He looked ready to pass out. Not like he was sleepy and could go to sleep. But like he hadn't been sleeping well for a long time, hadn't gotten any sun, and hadn't been eating well type of exhaustion. Yet you doubted you could feel better even if you tried. Well other than taking a bath.
"Merlin," you let out breathlessly.
You recalled the conversation that had sparked this if it could be called such. No matter what your father insinuated he hadn't wanted this and you had pressed him into it. Not only had you goaded him into it with statements like finding a new husband, which had apparently bothered him with the whole Blaise situation more than you knew, but you'd manipulated him physically as well. He'd been trying to pull away and you hadn't let that happen.
"Draco - Draco I'm sorry. I don't...when I'm low on energy I…"
What could you say to make this any better? You couldn't think of anything that didn't sound like an excuse. It didn't matter that you practically weren't you went the hunger took over because you were the one left with the repercussions anyways. Besides it wasn't like someone had been controlling your mind with a curse or a turning. You just went a bit out of control and lazed focused on the feed. You'd avoided it ever since you could remember, avoided getting that hungry in public, so you didn't know if you could not be like that. You'd kept away from physical partners. Till recently you fed only by dreams. But the floodgates had been opened now and you were drowning in all the things you didn't know how to control.
"You'll be fine for the wedding tomorrow now," Draco said as he blinked heavily.
The wedding. You'd forgotten about that.
Your breath hitched at the reminder. Normally any social event you attended you went to unescorted. That was how you planned to go this time as well. Only you weren't sure if that was Draco's plan anymore. It hadn't been an issue in the past because you'd maintained a high level of autonomy; you'd done nothing to bring shame or negative light onto Draco or your family for when the childhood marriage had been publically acknowledged. With the situation with Blaise things weren't quite so simple; all the Slytherin students would probably have realized that you and Blaise had been sort of dating. Blaise might even be out of your thrall at this point and he could do a lot of damage to your reputation. By association that would damage Draco's when or if you and he publicly acknowledged the wedding if it wasn't mitigated.
What if Blaise was still in your thrall? He might do damage if he'd broken out of it, if it had faded off, but you weren't sure if it would be any more or less than if he was still enthralled. If he was enthralled and went to the wedding then that sort of attentiveness would be noticed. Especially if Draco's seemingly sudden onset of possessiveness carried over. The longer you laid next to him the harder it seemed to breathe as you remembered everything from under an hour ago. He'd attacked Adam for coming out of your bedroom and responding to your hunger. Considering that you'd only been wearing the butler's robe and that he'd come out of your room it had only added fuel to the fire. You starting to cling to the other male hadn't helped either. You knew he'd been angry about the disgrace an annulment would cause considering the circumstances around such an annulment being heavily tied to masculine pride. You understood his disgruntlement over the public affair with Blaise at Hogwarts - that was another pride thing. But it wasn't like Adam was likely to tell anyone and disgrace the Malfoy name; he'd been a loyal servant for years. He knew the consequences and he had a lot to lose if he even mentioned anything to anyone else. It would have still been an affair, sure...but not a public one. Yet somehow it was Adam who had provoked him to violence and not Blaise despite the fact that Blaise was the much more dangerous one to his personal and familial pride. Why? Would this sort of possessive rage carry over towards Blaise now that it had been ignited?
As these thoughts buzzed through your head only making the situation worse. You hadn't even realized that Draco had fallen asleep until a minute or two later. You stared at his face with such envy that it was a wonder you weren't green. He looked so peaceful as though he didn't have a care in the world. As though you hadn't just done a despicable deed towards him. Despite his haggard appearance and his poor pallor, he looked content.
You shifted your leg over him, careful not to move the smaller bed too much so not to wake him up. He had just fallen asleep and given how much energy buzzed under your skin you knew he was going to need his rest. He'd given you so much more than you normally needed and despite the peace on his face you knew he was going to be paying for that for a few days. His overall energy was probably going to be subpar and his magic was probably going to be a little faulty as well. That was definitely not something you knew him to be used to. Despite his arrogance, Draco was a good student. He didn't really falter when it came to the practical applications of magic and actual spell casting. He wasn't the strongest wizard out there but he wasn't exactly what you'd call a pushover either. He was quick to the draw and he packed a punch with each spell as was evident in Adam's case.
Which you were going to have to rectify. As slowly as you could you reached towards the small desk where the side held your wand. You had to be very careful considering the fact that you were hovered right over Draco and your chest was intimately close with his face. Slowly you pulled back with wand in hand, sitting up over him so you could start to move the other leg. Only you must have done something wrong because as you gripped your wand in your hand, Draco let out a soft, tired groan.
You stilled completely hoping that he'd go back to sleep. He needed his sleep and you already felt bad for what had happened. You didn't need to make it any worse. Unfortunately he didn't seem to listen to your internal plea as his eyes tiredly cracked open. Even in the exhausted state he was in he tried to put himself into a less vulnerable position by grabbing at you. It was odd considering that one hand on your bare hips seemed too tight while the other felt as though he didn't have any control of his grip at all. Was being inconsistent something that was natural for those who were sleepy? You weren't sure - actually being sleepy wasn't something that you'd ever really dealt with. Hunger was your thing, not the need to sleep.
He mumbled something and you'd caught most of it, "Where you going?"
"Nowhere," you answered him. You didn't plan to go anywhere important at least.
The hand that he seemed to actually be in command of moved underneath you. You felt his knuckles and with wide eyes you moved your body upwards more, digging your knees into the bed. He was trying to get ready for round three. Was that what he thought you were trying to do? You swallow, more air than spit, as you reached down to try and stop his hand. You pushed back the shudder as you realized exactly what you were doing and why. Slowly you moved his hand as he tried to stubbornly fight you. It was no use. As you were you were stronger than he'd be even if he wasn't so sleepy.
You grabbed his other hand from your hip and brought them both up in front of you. He stared at you with dry, tired eyes as an unsettled grunt filled your ears. No matter how much you tried he was waking back up. Out of a biological necessity or stubborn pride you weren't sure. You doubted you'd ever really know with him since he most likely wouldn't tell you.
"You need to sleep," you told him in a quiet voice.
"No," Draco said as he started to rise up without using his arms.
You leaned down to stop him, holding his hands away from your body in what you were pretty sure was a gentle manner. Draco stopped to look up at you and slowly laid down as you continued to lean forward. You made sure his hands didn't go anywhere they shouldn't at the moment as you continued to hold them. By the time he was laying all the way back down they were like a little bolder between his and your body. You could feel his heart just beneath the skin, speeding up by the minute. That wasn't exactly what you'd meant to happen. You really did want him to get to sleep. It was just that you had a few things to do after what happened. You slowly let his hands go when you were pretty sure he wasn't going to try and prepare himself for the third time in the last hour.
"I'm just going to leave the room, that's all. You need to sleep Draco."
You tried to swing your other leg over him. When you took your eyes off of him, you felt him turning on the bed. Once again he reached for you only this time he was much more awake. You felt him pulling you down onto the bed and since you were already unbalanced it worked. Your tried to catch yourself but it was no use. He was in the better position to maneuver and it showed as he wrapped you up in not only the robe you had on but in his arms.
You instinctively grasped at his arms. You felt tense in his arms as you searched your room for anything sort of helpful solution. The fact that you already had your wand in hand didn't really matter. You didn't want to piss him off by casting a spell on him. You just didn't know how to handle him right now. It was like when Blaise first started - he was handsy too until you and he settled into a sort of system. Was Draco enthralled now too?
Fuck.
Your father had said that it would be permanent if you had sex with the person while they were enthralled.
"Stay."
Shit.
"Draco, you don't really want this," you whispered as you let go of your hold. "It's just the sex talking - you need to fight it. And me staying here isn't going to help. It's only going to make it worse."
You didn't know that for sure, of course, but you did speculate on it. After all you couldn't think of a single reason why your presence would help with the situation. Especially considering that you didn't have the strongest of wills; you might slip up and take more of his energy if he really pressed it. Which would actually have been your fault seeing as this was all your fault to begin with. You'd already enslaved Blaise and you were still dealing with that guilt as you waited for it to fade off. If you permanently enslaved Draco there was no way you could forgive yourself. You weren't like a death eater who could use imperius curse on people without your conscious getting in the way; you didn't want to turn people into slaves.
"Fine," Draco said in a deep, almost angry voice.
He practically pushed you off of the bed as he moved his arms away. You stood up with the momentum, straightening the robe down so that it almost looked like you were decent. Draco stood up as well as he grabbed his pants. He seemed like he was biting back some sort of angry words as he pulled his pants up. You moved out of the way, careful of the portable fireplace in the middle of your room, as he moved towards the door.
You'd made him angry, that much was for sure. But what had you done that put him in such a bad mood?
