If anyone wondered about the title of chapter 17: I listened to Sentenced's last record "The Funeral Album" while writing it (and also during this chapter) and I think their whole record inspired many, many things (not just in my story). In a certain way I'm sad cuz they don't exist as a band anymore, but their last music was so overwhelming that I don't think I would have been able to finish this story without it. Listen to the last song on that album and you'll get the whole meaning of this story and it's end...

Chapter 18
Meant to rest side by side
There is no world on the other side of life like it’s been predicted by so many wise people and old books. There is no colorful garden with happy souls jumping around, either. The only thing that’s truly there is death and never ending peace – the kind of peace one cannot imagine on earth for it is free of descriptions, feelings and opinions. Peace is what it is there, and no one would ever want to change something so utterly complete.
It’s hard to say what it’s like there anyway, although it doesn’t even count. I am here, and so is Lucius... that’s everything we need to know. And whatever this place is, whoever else might be here – yes, even if we got it all wrong and chose the wrong turn on the way here, then it’s alright. Everything is alright here, all sorrows gone. We don’t even remember what sorrows used to be like. All we remember is each other and the peaceful calm that has been surrounding us since the very moment we’ve come here to stay forever.
Time may come and go, lives may start and end, but this here will do nothing of it. It has no beginning as it has no ending. It’s just what it is. And we are finally able to lay side by side, an old willow above us, our hearts resting in peace beneath the heavy stones that hold our names in silver writing. One day in the past, we dreamt we would be here, together and undividable, and only then we would find the final peace that had been granted to none of us during our lifetime. Today, we are here. And today it’s not of importance what a lifetime has been like.
