Several days later Lucius bought tickets to another Quidditch match after asking Hermione and the Snapes to go. It was set for two days in the future, so Hermione had a chance to go to lunch with Ginny again before the outing. She wanted to show Ginny the new restaurant that Lucius had taken her to, so she made reservations and met Ginny in front of the exclusive eatery. “Hi Ginny, have you been waiting long? That’s a pretty dress. Emerald green always looks so good on you. It’s silk, right?”
“I just got here.” Ginny smiled her hello, twirling once to show off her gown. “Thanks. Yes, it’s silk. A present from Severus. Your dress is beautiful too. Sort of a french blue. Is it one of Madame Malkin’s?”
“Yes, I had it made a couple of weeks ago. This is the first time I’ve worn it. I brought her the fabric because I wanted something easy care so I got the cloth from a Muggle store. Madame doesn’t seem to believe in anything but silks and velvets and such and I was brought up on no-iron polyester. Did she make your dress too?”
“Severus had her make it for our one month anniversary. The color matches the emerald earrings he gave me with it. See?” Ginny pulled aside her hair to show off her earrings.
“Oh, they’re lovely. For someone who likes a wardrobe of nothing but basic black, he certainly has good taste.”
Ginny’s face split in a bawdy smile, “You haven’t seen his knickers. But I have to agree. He married me, didn’t he?” They both grinned.
Hermione leaned in toward Ginny and whispered naughtily, “Lucius doesn’t wear knickers.”
Ginny snorted with laughter. “My Gods, that certainly doesn’t sound like Mr. Immaculate Malfoy. How funny! Okay, okay, I won’t tell anyone,” Ginny promised when Hermione started shaking her by the arm. She decided to change the subject, “So, is this the restaurant? It looks pretty pricey and high-brow. I’m not sure I’ll be comfortable here.”
“You aren’t worrying about the money are you? Because I’m picking up the tab today. I know you haven’t been here before so I don’t want you to be forced into paying for a meal that you might hate.”
“Oh, it’s not that at all. Severus is quite wealthy now, thanks to Lucius. Your husband has been acting as my husband’s financial advisor and our income has shot into orbit. So I can splurge with some really good wine to go with our food. It’s more the hoity-toity types that might be in there that would bother me. Oh, well, I don’t mind trying something new.” The two women entered the restaurant to be greeted immediately by the Maitre D’ who had seated Hermione and Lucius before. Hermione had asked for the same table so she and Ginny were shown to their seats at the table in the alcove beside the window with the country setting.
Ginny looked around at the restaurant, checking out the other patrons and then the view from the bespelled window. “This is beautiful. And what a cunning view. As long as the food is good too, we’ll have to come back once in a while. I’m going to tell Severus about this place.”
Hermione wasn’t sure Snape didn’t already know about it if it had a reputation for discreet upstairs rooms. Snape hadn’t been any monk when he was single either, according to hints dropped by Lucius. And if Lucius had been running Severus’ finances for any length of time, Severus should have been able to afford the rooms. Ginny didn’t need to know those details, however, so Hermione changed the subject. She said, “Apparently there is always a Chef’s Entrée de Soir. Did you want to take a chance on it, or order something from the menu?”
“Oh, let’s live dangerously. The Chef’s Entrée de Soir, by all means. Perhaps the waiter can bring us whatever wine will go with the Entrée and we can relax and talk.” Ginny looked around for a waiter and caught the eye of their server who came over to their table instantly. Ginny and Hermione gave their orders and settled down for a cozy chat. The waiter quickly arrived with their wine and served it, after letting Ginny taste it and approve.
Hermione asked, “Can you tell a good wine from a bad one? I’m impressed.”
Ginny smiled, “Severus likes wine and I’ve always liked it, too. He’s taught me a great deal more about it so, to answer your question, yes, I do know a good wine from a bad one. This is a very good one.” Ginny pointed at the label.
“I’m glad you’re here to do the wine honors then. I’m a total novice at wine. Lucius has it for dinner every evening but I wouldn’t know if it was good or not. I just figure Lucius would only have good wines, whatever those are.”
Ginny agreed, “Severus says that Lucius has some very special wines in his wine cellar, so feel free to invite us over to dinner anytime.” Ginny gave a good-natured grin. “To change the subject a bit, I have questions about the Quidditch outing. I haven’t been to a match since Hogwarts. I understand we’ll be sitting in a private box. Is it open to the elements? What does one wear?”
Hermione wondered briefly where the wine cellar was in her home and determined to ask her husband, but answered, “I wore layers so I could peel off whatever I needed to stay warm enough and not roast if I got too hot.” Hermione giggled, “Unfortunately, I didn’t get hot at all. Lucius loves Quidditch. Did you know that? I didn’t. He spent the entire game actually watching it. I thought maybe a private box would provide possibilities for something more, well, private.”
Hermione laughed, “but Lucius was totally focused on the game, the rat. I wound up feeling like a popsicle stick by the end of the match, so bundle up.” Hermione remembered the end of that day with an inward grimace. Her husband hadn’t been too happy with her. She had never been invited to lick his popsicle stick again, even though he knew she must like it and that she wasn’t allowed to ask him. She idly wondered why that was, before putting the thought aside for later. “Does Severus like Quidditch?”
“He does very much, and learning from your experience I guess I won’t expect any cuddling in the back row. I suspect you and I will be sitting in the back row together, unless you like Quidditch, too?”
“Actually, Lucius gave me a running commentary on the detailed nuances of the plays in the game and I enjoyed it a lot more because of his on-the-spot tutoring. By the time the game was over, I was a little hoarse from shouting.” Hermione considered, “I think I’ll be ignored more for this game because it will be the Salisbury Stingers against the Bristol Bombers and the Stingers are a favorite team for Lucius. Plus, Severus will be there. Maybe I’ll get more attention from my husband if I wear the team colors.” Hermione looked at Ginny and they both snickered and said together, “Naaaahhhh.”
Ginny commiserated with her friend, “You’ll just have to hope the Stingers win so Lucius will be in a good mood after the game,” she winked. The food arrived and the two enjoyed the flavors of the delicately herbed chicken with asparagus. When they had lowered the wine in their glasses a few times both of them were feeling a little mellow. A second bottle of wine was sent for and the waiter filled their glasses again.
Ginny asked, “Any sign of the swish of little broomsticks yet?”
Hermione said, “I don’t think so.” She joked, “But we’re practicing a lot.”
Ginny laughed, “That’s nothing. So are we and we aren’t even trying for a baby yet. Severus has surprised me with some of the ways he likes to make love. I’m starting to realize I’ve led a very sheltered existence.” Ginny tossed back another rather large sip of the excellent wine.
Hermione murmured, “Me, too.” When Ginny looked like she was going to pursue that comment, Hermione threw out another line to distract her, “Did you know I took Lucius to a Muggle club for dancing?” She covered her face with her wine glass, imbibing a generous swallow to obscure her sudden flush.
Ginny goggled at Hermione, “Lucius went to a Muggle place? I’m astonished. No, I’m shocked. He’s always been so adamantly against anything Muggle.”
Hermione thought Not everything. She pictured Lucius with his new black vibrator and got even more flushed. “Well, he did it to please me which I though was very sweet of him.”
Ginny said shrewdly, “Yes? And just what did you promise him for this night out in Muggleland? No offense, but Lucius has never been sweet a day in his life.”
Hermione decided to take another swig of wine to put off answering the question and thought furiously but couldn’t come up with a good evasion. She’d thought Ginny would ask about the club, not the events afterward. “Well, uh, I… uh…” she ran down and had another gulp of wine.
“Hmmm, something naughty, huh? Let’s see, maybe I can guess. If I guess right will you tell me?” Ginny slurped some more wine, too.
Hermione said, “I think we’re both suffering from ‘In vino veritas’. Are you sure you want to continue this conversation?” She giggled a little and began to smile lopsidedly as another glass of wine went down to defeat.
Ginny stared at Hermione, looking a little owl-eyed herself, “Oh, what the hell. We’ll probably just discover that there’s nothing new under the sun. I’ve already told you about Severus and his astonishing tongue.”
Hermione sniggered tipsily, “You make him sound like a circus act.”
Ginny had a slight slur to her words, “Whas a circus?” She motioned a waiter over and ordered a third bottle of wine. It was delivered with alacrity and Ginny asked again, “Whas a circus?”
Hermione replied, “A lot of acts of entertainment, some of them rather unusual. Some with animals.”
“Oh, Severus can be a real animal!” She merrily whispered, “I wouldn’t be surprised to find his tongue has a transfiguring snake spell on it. It certainly makes magic for me!” Ginny laughed heartily at her own joke.
Losing even more of her normal inhibitions, Hermione nosily asked, “Does Severus spank you?” She instantly clapped her hand to her mouth in horrified surprise, but knew the question had been said out loud when Ginny stared at her in surprise. Oh Sweet Goddess, why had she had all that wine? She would never live this down. How could she possibly mitigate the damage her unruly tongue had sucked her into? She stared back at Ginny, tears of mortification standing in her eyes.
Ginny gaped in awe, “You, too?” She leaned close to Hermione and whispered, “I didn’t like it at first, ’cause it scared me, but something odd happens after a few swats and it’s like my body shifts gear and I go into sensory overload. What a high! I’m glad I’m not alone. But I think it might be better if our husbands didn’t know we’d compared notes on this.” She tried to wink again but this time both eyes closed, then slowly opened again. “Was that a wink? I think my eyes aren’t working quite right. Do they look okay?”
Hermione nodded, the relief of Ginny’s confession making her tears fall before she smiled and wiped them away. The shock of her accidental revelation had sobered her up a bit. “It was just the same for me. Do you think it’s something extracurricular they teach down in that Slytherin dungeon at Hogwarts? Severus was head of that house for a long time.”
“I don’t know. I only know Harry never did anything like that, but of course, he wasn’t Slytherin. Although,” Ginny mused, “I never heard any of the girls talking about Draco that way either and believe me, they talked a lot. Maybe it’s a technique that comes with age. All I know is now even thinking about it turns me on and I want to jump Severus. If anyone had told me I’d like it, I would have thought they were crazy.”
Hermione thought of another problem, “How are we going to face each other’s husbands knowing this? I’m afraid I’ll start giggling.”
Ginny thought about meeting Lucius after knowing about him spanking Hermione during sex. “Just knowing they both are doing the same thing seems to make it okay for me. I can visualize Lucius smacking you and you can visualize Severus smacking me. It’s all good. Are you okay with that?” Ginny decided to slow down on the wine, but reluctantly, because it really was excellent. Well, maybe one more glass.
“I guess so. Putting the two together like that does minimize the giggle factor. Well, drink up. Here’s to you and Severus and Lucius and me, the Swat Teams. By the way, do you ever get to spank Severus?”
Ginny said in surprise, “Actually, no. Geez, I sure don’t think outside the box, do I? Are you telling me you get to spank Lucius?”
“Uh, no I don’t. I think it does deserve to be explored, though. I might like to smack his butt.” Hermione chuckled at her friend’s astonished face.
Then Ginny smiled too, but it was more a wicked leer, “Oh, yeah. I can just see Severus’ face when I tell him I want to be the spanker. You know, he just might like it. I’d better wait a few days though before I ask so he doesn’t connect today’s lunch with our new idea.” Ginny chuckled, “He’s too big for my lap so I’ll have to figure out something else. Or maybe he’ll have some ideas. Oooh, I’m liking this idea better and better.”
Hermione had wandered off into a heady daydream of spanking Lucius and started getting excited about it. She made the savvy deduction that Lucius was probably no stranger to being spanked. If he was well-acquainted with anal sex, he was likely to have already gone the spanking route. Maybe with that older witch he’d mentioned. Eww, she didn’t want to think about that!
Trying to shake that unwelcome thought out of her muddled brain, Hermione tardily replied, “I’m going to find a way to bring it up with Lucius. I’ll wait a few days, too. But maybe you’d better wait longer in case the two of them compare notes on their sexploits with us. If they both realize we asked to spank them within a day or so of each other, well, neither of them is dull-witted in the least. Our own butts would be endangered then.”
“Agreed,” said Ginny. “You go first. When it’s safely in the past, you can let me know. Now about that Muggle club. Is it fun? Would I like going there with Severus?”
“I’m not sure. There are a lot of young Muggle females on the lookout for men. Severus might be mobbed. That severe black look he prefers would attract them to him and then you’d have to push through them to keep him with you.”
“Is that what you had to do with Lucius? Well, of course, that doesn’t surprise me, your husband is gorgeous. I’m surprised you didn’t come away with bruises if you took him to a place where a lot of young, aggressive females could get to him. How did you keep them off him? And why did you take him to a place like that in the first place?” Ginny decided to order coffee to clear her head and asked the waiter to bring a pot.
Hermione realized she was getting uncomfortably close to her private promise to be submissive. She’d taken him to the club to get him to want her in bed because she was barred from asking outright. She prevaricated, “I came from the Muggle world and still go there upon occasion and I visit my parents and do things with them sometimes, so if I’m going to be married for the rest of my life to Lucius, I want him to become familiar with my other world. He did cut up stiff at first, but all I had to do was promise pleasure later and he went. Win-win for both of us. He found the harpies, I mean Muggle girls, interesting but pushy. I guess at his age he’s past needing…”
Hermione trailed off. “Odd,” she said, looking at Ginny with a question in her eyes, “he enjoyed the females up to a point, but went with me with no problem. He said he’d ‘danced’ with that type of woman many times and now he only wanted to dance with me. I guess that’s a compliment.”
“I’d say so. Severus had his own success with women, but he seems completely happy with me. I think they’ve both settled down – with us.”
The idea of Lucius actually settling down with her brought a lump to Hermione’s throat. It didn’t seem possible he could limit himself just to her. Ginny was very lucky. “Well, I guess we’d better get home to our spouses. I’m sure Severus wonders what happened to you. I was supposed to be home an hour ago. If you like this place we can come again. But maybe with not quite so much wine next time. Hecuba only knows what we’d wind up saying, but I do feel less isolated knowing my personal life isn’t so bizarre.” Hermione got up and the waiter came right over. “Please put this on Lucius Malfoy’s tab with a generous tip for yourself. Thank you.”
The two women left the restaurant arranging to meet again soon and both apparated to their homes. Hermione was extremely thankful the ‘dragon lady’ hadn’t made an appearance. Then she laughed to herself – Ginny would have torn her apart.

I segued a bit to another part of Hermione's life. She can't spend all her time in bed (although I imagine both you all AND Lucius would like it that way.
