A/N: Yes this is a bit different from my usual story…it just came to me as I was about to doze off ages ago.

Chapter 16

The transfer of Remus and Harry’s things to Remus’ former apartment on the Third Floor with the attached office to his classroom as well as Draco’s possessions being moved to Severus’ apartment was done swiftly between the Malfoy/Prince elves as well as the Potter ones.

Thankfully, Albus was gone from the school and despite being Deputy Headmistress, McGonagall didn’t have the sort of connection to Hogwarts that Severus had.

It was easy to convince Hogwarts not to inform McGonagall of the new living arrangements.

Remus had saved much of his income as a professor since the Potter-Black Estate produced enough for them to eat.

Remus primarily only used Harry’s trust vault to purchase clothing and school supplies for his mate while covering his own personal expenses.

Sirius’ vault covered much of his care expenses but the Black Estate paid for the rest, thank Merlin.

The main trouble would of course come Albus and the Weasleys, well from Molly and her two youngest.

Bill, Charlie, Percy and the twins weren’t so bad after all…

Arthur was just so hen-pecked it was hard to take the man seriously…

It was a wonder that any of their children respected either of them…

Harry leaned against the wall smirking, “So are you ready for everyone to know about us?”

Remus sighed, “Remus is still worried but Moony is definitely happy to have the subterfuge over with.”

Harry shrugged, “We knew that there would be trouble, I’m completely fine with them knowing. We probably should make an announcement, publically of course. Give that viper Skeeter an exclusive. I know she’s a dangerous ingredient in an already precarious situation but she ought to be useful if we break the news first.”

Remus sunk into a chair, “Growing up around Draco and Severus clearly had some impact…”

Harry smirked, “I’ll ask Aunt Cissa to contact her for us, I am sure that she’ll be bullying Uncle Severus into making the same choice.”

Remus snorted, Cissy was predictable that way…

Cissy had supervised the installation of the Malfoy Nursery in Severus’ apartment, although it was only enough furniture for a single infant it would do for practice.

Since Remus’ things were taken away, that left his room for her own use. Many of her possessions had been sent on to Merrivale.

While moving into Severus’ apartment was solely to look after Draco, she had no intent to bully her way into their relationship aside from seeing that they were bonded and that they were as prepared as possible for their unexpected pregnancy.

She would have to take Draco shopping for new things, knowing Severus he would want his children to have the best of everything because he grew up in relative poverty if his clothing during school was any indication.

While she would like to prevent her grandchildren from being too spoilt, Draco had grown spoilt when he was younger because she threw all of her love and affection into his raising after Lucius emotionally abandoned her.

She had no real complaint about Severus being her son’s mate but she would have preferred that he was older before she became a grandmother. However, what was done was done and they all had to adjust.

It would put Draco’s potions apprenticeship on hold at least when it came to practical brewing anyway.

Speaking of what was done; they would have to announce the bondings in the Daily Prophet and in regards to Harry there would have to be an interview.

While she had no respect for the likes of ‘Rita’ Skeeter, one was expected to forget that Rita was formerly known as Ryan Scamander. If Skeeter wasn’t so distasteful a person in her chosen career, Narcissa might actually consider her admirable.

With the contracts filed with Gringotts, the announcements had to be made soon to avoid a huge public backlash.

She would make the arrangements of course; Remus and Severus didn’t have the connections that a pureblood heiress did especially one that was the legal consort of a Ancient titled House.

Once that was out of the way then she could handle her grandchild’s nursery…

Severus had never really shared a bed and despite the farce of a relationship with Remus, they had lived much like dorm mates rather than lovers.

Not that either could have stomached more, Draco would have been crushed and well Remus was a bit too dominant for his taste.

Remus was too permissive with Harry while Draco was more submissive, it would take some time to get used to sharing his bed on a permanent basis with his lover.

Rather his bonded, having to teach his pregnant consort would be nerve-wracking but thankfully Draco would be out of the classroom at least during practical lessons.

He would not allow his offspring to be anywhere near a cauldron much less a potions cupboard it was far too dangerous.

Draco was silent, staying out of Severus’ way while his lover rearranged the bedroom to fit Draco’s things.

Draco was shy, being lovers in secret was one thing but they were legally bound as Lord and Consort thanks to his mother.

He was surprised after her lecture that she had gone so far as to threaten his formidable father with divorce to obtain a marriage contract and avoid Severus being attacked in any way by his sire.

He closed his eyes and rest a hand over his abdomen, he was carrying Severus’ child.

It was far sooner then he would have wished but thanks to his mother he was now Lord Consort Prince.

Strong arms wrapped around him and Draco relaxed.

Severus had paused in his rearranging and found himself embracing Draco, while he would rather not be married to a student while they were still in Hogwarts, as Narcissa said ‘what’s done cannot be undone.’

He truly regretted nothing though he doubted that he could look Lucius in the face and call him father or Narcissa mother given their closeness in age.

Whatever they would face when the news of their bonding broke, Severus would shield Draco as much as possible…

Chandra Satana - the next update after this? Well whenever I get around to it. Snaco and Harremus is a bit squicky for me so its irregular.
