A/N: So sorry for any confusion. I missed a chapter in my previously ill state and did not recognize it until now. What was chapter 19 will now be chapter 20 as it states on the headline.
Chapter 19 – Home for the Holiday’s
21 December
“Are you finished packing yet?”
“Yeah, are you sure your parents don’t mind if I stay with you?”
“Not at all. Mother and Father actually suggested that I invite you. Besides, I want to see you over the holiday.” Draco said, going to help her with her trunk.
“When are you going to pick me up?”
“I thought around one o’clock on Christmas day. That way, you’ll have plenty of time with Harry and the Weasley’s in the morning and still have plenty of time to get ready for my parents party.” He replied, shrinking her trunk for her.
She slipped the miniature trunk into her pocket.
“It’s going to be weird you know? Not seeing you for days. I’m just so used to you being around me.” Ashleigh said, giving him a hug.
“It’s only four days. And then you’ll have me all to yourself for an entire week.” He said laughingly, squeezing her one more time before he let her go.
“Come on, we have to go or we’ll be late for the train.” He swatted her bum to get her moving.
They made their way up to the Entrance Hall and met Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny by the doors. Once they arrived, the group found a carriage that started rolling ahead as soon as the last person had boarded. They arrived at the platform where the gleaming red Hogwarts Express was stationed. They made their way onto the train and took the first empty compartment they came to and settled down, making themselves comfortable for the long ride to London.
When the train started moving, Hermione, Ron, Draco and Ginny excused themselves for the Prefects meeting. Ashleigh and Harry were left to talk alone. It was a rare occasion that the others weren’t around.
“So when are you going to the Malfoy’s?”
“Draco is going to pick me up at one on Christmas day.”
“That soon huh. Part of me wishes you could spend the entire holiday at the Burrow but I know you and Draco can’t go that long without groping each other.” Harry said with a laugh.
Ashleigh got up from her seat and started slapping his shoulder. “I wouldn’t be talking if I were you mister!”
“Hey! That kind of hurt.” He said, trying to fend her off.
“Be glad that’s all I did. Ginny was nice enough to show me the ever thrilling Bat-Bogey Hex. She says I’m quite good at it. With Ginny and Hermione around I’ll know more hexes than you pretty soon.”
“I have no doubt. So how are you doing after last night?” Harry asked slowly, not wanting to upset her.
“I’m doing pretty well. You don’t have to worry; I’m not going to have any sort of breakdown or anything. I have a very strong will, kind of like someone else I know.” She said with a raised eyebrow.
Harry graced her with a half smile, knowing she was talking about him. He liked that they had things in common.
“Draco stayed with me last night and helped me get over it in a very pleasing way.” She smiled in reminiscences.
Harry just about blew his cork.
“Draco did what? I’ll kill him!” He seethed; his words were barely able to escape his lips.
“No, you won’t. I asked him to stay and besides, all we did was sleep. Not that it’s any of your business.” She leaned back in her seat, annoyed that he was being so childish.
“What about that ‘getting over it in a very pleasing way’ part?” He asked in retaliation, equally annoyed.
“Oh, that.” She ducked her head as she blushed.
“Yes, that.”
“Well, if you must know, he told me how sexy I looked last night and how he especially liked my lip gloss because it let his lips…”
“Okay, okay, I get the big picture. Sorry I asked.”
Smiling in triumph, she looked out of the window at the passing country side that was blanketed in snow which was shimmering slightly in the overcast sunlight.
“You know I was just worried about you right?” Harry asked softly.
Ashleigh turned back to him and when she saw his pitiful face, decided to take mercy on him. Sighing heavily she answered him.
“I know. But it’s not your place to have a say on what goes on in my relationship. I don’t try to control what you and Ginny do, that’s your business. I do appreciate you trying to protect me and I like thinking of you as the brother I never had, but could you please not dwell on what I might do with my boyfriend? I know you don’t want to hear all the gory details so if you try to get those kinds of answers out of me again, I’ll make sure you hear every last one of those gory details! Is that a deal?” She asked, holding out her hand.
“Deal.” He said taking her offered hand and giving it a good shake.
They spent the rest of their time playing Gobbstones and talking good naturedly until the others returned. When they did return, they all decided to play several games of Exploding Snap. After the first three games, Ashleigh pulled out some homework and was completely immersed when the train stopped. She had managed to complete her Charms essay and was now half way finished her two foot essay for Transfiguration.
“Are we there already?” Ashleigh asked as the train pulled to a halt.
“Yes, come on. I want to have a moment with you before you leave with the Weasley’s.” Draco grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the compartment and off the train. He then led her to a darkened corner behind a stone pillar that was connected to the wall.
“I’m going to miss you.” He told her as he pulled her into a hug.
“I’ll miss you too. We’ll be seeing each other in a few days though.”
“Yeah.” Was his only reply as he cupped her cheek in his hand and brought her face up to his. He brought his lips to hers and explored the softness of her lips and mouth with his tongue. Ashleigh did the same using a technique that Draco decided was all Ashleigh. When Ashleigh moaned into his mouth, Draco decided it was time to break it up. It wouldn’t do for his parent’s to see him disheveled and with a problem that wouldn’t go away down below. He pulled away from her and looked into her eyes.
“I’ll see you in a few days, yeah?”
“Yeah.” She replied with a grin.
Draco walked away to the right toward the Apparation point as she went to the left to find the Weasley’s. She found that they were standing next to a brick arch that stood on the middle of the platform. They had already explained how getting from platform to platform worked so she was very excited to try it out. After she had gone through she decided it wasn’t any big deal and went on her merry way. She hadn’t yet met Mr. and Mrs. Weasley because they had the twins pick them up this year. Fred had told them that they would be going home in a car that their dad had gotten from the Ministry.
It turns out that that the Ministry car is a black sedan that didn’t have any sign of who the maker was. She followed the others into the car and figured it had to be magically expanded to fit all seven of them in the back seat alone. All in all, Ashleigh was quite impressed. The car ride in total was about forty five minutes and by the time Ashleigh was able to get out of the car, she was rubbing her back side, the ache in her tail bone was really annoying her. Taking in her surroundings, she saw an open meadow that would probably be over grown once summer came and a house that was several stories tall and looked as if it was being held up by magic.
As they neared the house, the front door opened and a redheaded woman who looked to be in her mid fifties came out onto the lawn to greet them.
“Ron, Ginny thank goodness your home. Have a good trip dears?”
“Yes mum.” They replied in unison, each giving her a hug.
“Harry dear, how are you?”
“Fine Mrs. Weasley.”
“And you Hermione?” She asked, giving them each a hug in turn.
“I’m fine, thank you.”
Mrs. Weasley suddenly started looking around as if she had lost something. Spotting Ashleigh, she walked over to her and gave her a hug as well. Ashleigh returned the hug without reluctance.
“You must be Ashleigh, Harry’s cousin. I’m Molly Weasley, my husband Arthur will be home shortly I expect. Well come in you lot and get settled, dinner will be ready within the hour.”
Ginny and Hermione showed Ashleigh into Ginny’s room where they would be sharing. It was a bit cramped with three beds but it’s not as if they planned on spending all day there. As soon as they were settled, they headed back down stairs and headed into the kitchen and asked if they could help with dinner.
Molly wouldn’t let them do anything but set the table. The three girls sat chatting with Mrs. Weasley as the number of brothers Ginny had was brought into conversation.
“I honestly can’t imagine having six brothers, how do you stand it Ginny?” Ashleigh asked good naturedly.
“Well you know, I barely see any of them anymore. Either way though, a well aimed Bat-Bogey Hex goes a long way.” All of the women in the kitchen laughed at Ginny’s sentiment.
“Well, I just received news that Bill and Charlie will be coming home tonight and staying through the holiday.”
“Really mum? That’s brilliant. They haven’t been home in ages. Well, at least you’ll get to see what it’s like to have five brothers around.” Ginny said turning to Ashleigh.
“What about the sixth?”
“Oh, Percy? Well he’s being a prat and won’t speak to us, but that’s a story for another time.” Ginny whispered so as not to upset her mother.
Ashleigh nodded, vowing to herself not to bring it up again.
Mrs. Weasley came to the table to put down a bowl of mashed potatoes and addressed Ashleigh.
“I expect you’ll have to watch yourself around my son’s young lady!” She said with a knowing look.
“What do you mean?” Ashleigh inquired, not understanding her meaning. Ron, Fred and George were nice enough, were their brothers not?
“Well being as pretty as you are and with an American accent to boot? They’ll be all over you like white on rice. All of my boys have a liking for American accents. I’m just giving you fair warning, dear.” She stated kindly.
“Well I have a boyfriend so they’re out of the running.”
“Oh yes. Ron and Ginny did tell me you are dating the Malfoy boy and that you managed to get them to be friends. I never thought I would see the day that happened. They also mentioned that you were going to the Malfoy’s. When is Draco coming to pick you up?”
“Around one on Christmas Day.”
“Well you’ll have plenty of time here then. We’re usually up by seven. My sons, Ron especially are very eager little boys come Christmas morning.”

The Weasley’s, minus Bill and Charlie, Harry, Hermione and Ashleigh were all seated and just starting dinner. Mr. Weasley had arrived only ten minutes ago and Ashleigh found she liked him very much, just as she did Mrs. Weasley. She was seated to the left of Harry with a spare seat on her left. They were just passing around the roast when the door opened to emit the two eldest Weasley brothers. They quickly bent to hug their mum and dad, apologizing for being late. They made their way around the table giving their brother’s a slap on the back, asked Hermione how she was doing, hugged Ginny and asked Harry how he was doing while giving him a slap on the back as well. Thinking they were finished with their greetings they looked up intending to find their seats. Instead what they found was a pretty girl that had the same color hair as Harry which was not something they were used to seeing in their house.
Ashleigh noticed that they were staring at her and stood up to introduce herself. As she did so, she noted that they must be at least six two. Standing up and holding out her hand, she began the introductions.
“Hi, I’m Ashleigh Grey, Harry’s cousin.”
When they heard her voice, their smiles became wider.
“Bill Weasley, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” The man with the long ponytail and fang earring said, reaching out to grasp her hand.
“Like wise.”
“Charlie Weasley, I didn’t know Harry had another cousin.” He said, holding out his hand.
“Neither did Harry.” Ashleigh replied with a smile.
“How did he not know he had a cousin?” Bill asked her as he sat down. Charlie had gotten to the seat next to her first.
Ashleigh and Harry told them all the story of how they had come to find each other.
“So do you know if you’re a Pureblood or a half like Harry? Not that it matters, I’m just curious, if you don’t mind that is.” Charlie asked.
“I don’t mind. I don’t know, I was adopted by a Muggle couple and one of the stipulations of their arrangement was that I was never allowed to find out who my real parents were. My adoptive parents never knew their names and all documentation of them had been destroyed when I went to find out from the child services department when they passed away. My parents were wonderful to me though, I’m glad it was them instead of another couple.”
They all nodded in understanding and turned the conversation to a more pleasant topic.

Later that night Ginny, Hermione and Ashleigh were up in Ginny’s room getting ready for bed.
“You sure were a hit tonight with Bill and Charlie Ashleigh!” Ginny said, smiling from ear to ear.
“Like your mother said, they like my accent.”
“Don’t be daft, they like you because you’re pretty as well. They’re not so shallow as to only like a girl for her accent.” Ginny replied with false indignation.
“Ginny’s right. You should have seen the looks on their faces when I told them you are dating Draco, it was probably the same one the twins had when they found out.”
“What are you talking about, they didn’t…” She started to say as she thought back on their first Hogsmeade trip together. One of them had said something about being ‘out of the running’ and it suddenly dawned on her that every one of Ginny’s brothers, except for Ron and Percy, had a crush on her. She blushed as she realized everyone knew this but her.
“Ah, so you’ve come to see the light!”
“Shut up.” She retorted, her face was now crimson.
The three girls went to bed in high spirits, thinking about what the next few days would bring.
