Author's Notes
This is the other side of \"A Safe Darkness\". I knew I wanted to write it, but I had to find the hook. And then one day I was sitting here, waiting for the bread to finish rising, and I thought of the taste of blood...copper and salt...and it began to write itself.
I have a lot of reviews wondering what happens next. For a long time, I didn\'t have an answer. This isn\'t a relationship that resolves itself conventionally. They would both need to heal a lot for that to happen.
And then a third story wrote itself...A Gracious Silence. If you want to know how they end up, go read it.
And as always, I appreciate reviews, just like everyone else.
