The next few weeks passed quickly. Harry and Severus� children had taken the news of a new little sister wonderfully, they were all tremendously excited. Especially Sarah Beth, she looked as if she were going to cry when they had told her.

The Potter-Snape family had returned to Hogwarts two weeks before the next term began, which were spent in their quarters in the dungeons. And today was the day that all the children returned to the school.

The night of the welcoming feast Harry and Severus helped Gabe and Sarah Beth pack their trunks. They would both be returning to their dormitories tonight. Harry being the Gryffindor head of house, took Sarah Beth to the Gryffindor common room. While Severus being the Slytherin head of house and deputy headmaster, took Gabe to the Slytherin common room.

Three years ago, Albus finally retired from his position as Headmaster of Hogwarts. He left the school to Minerva, as headmistress and Severus, as deputy headmaster.

The next morning, Harry and Sev woke early to prepare for the days classes. First they took Jade and Matthew to their class. Hermione Weasley had come up with the amazing idea of having a class for wizards between the ages of six and ten. The class was meant to teach them the basic things that they would learn in any regular school, with teaching of wizarding things also.

Then they went their separate ways to their own classrooms to prepare for the day, Severus heading towards the potions classroom, Harry towards the Defense classroom hand in hand with Devlin. Devlin was too young to attend any kind of classes, so he would spend the day with his fathers, classes before lunch would be spent with Harry, and classes after lunch would be spent with Severus. Sometimes they would let Minerva take Devlin to stay with her for the day, she was Devlin�s godmother.

The day passed smoothly all the way to lunch in the Great Hall, where Harry passed Devlin onto Severus. He only had two more classes to get through today, seventh year Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, and sixth year Gryffindor and Slytherin which Sarah Beth was in. He wanted the day to pass as quickly as possible because he wanted to get down to his rooms to see his husband before they had to pick Jade and Matt up from Hermione�s class.

The Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff passed without any mishaps as it always did, but the Gryffindor and Slytherin class was a different story. It had taken him well over half an hour to explain the process of producing your own patronus. He then gave the class a demonstration, showing them his own impressive stag patronus, and then lined them up for them to try.

William Weasley, Charlie�s son, was first the first to try. Harry reminded him of the proper saying, and gestured for him to try it. Will drew his wand, and enunciated clearly �Expecto Patronum�. A shroud of mist appeared, and an impressive dragon form came to view.

�Brilliant job Mr. Weasley! Ironic isn�t it, its obvious whose son you are.� Harry congratulated then chuckled at the boy. The class clapped for him and he returned to his desk, Sarah Beth was next in line.

�Okay Miss Potter-Snape , are you ready?� He asked her, amusing his daughter, as well as the rest of the class.

� Yes Professor , I�m ready.� She said before pronouncing the spell.

�Expecto Patronum.� She said, another blanket of fog came, and a beautiful unicorn stepped through the mist. The unicorn walked up to Sarah Beth and she giggled, then it continued in its journey and walked to William.

�Wonderful Sarah Beth, amazing!� He praised her and walked up to give his daughter a hug.

Sarah Beth looked at him, cheeky smile still gleaming, before a confused looked crossed her face. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out, Harry became worried.

�Sa�� He began to ask, but gasped as his angel fell to the floor.

�Sarah!� He yelled and dropped down to the floor to gather his daughter in his arms.

�Classed dismissed. William, please go get Professor Snape and tell him to go to the infirmary.� He quickly said, before picking his angel up and running her to the infirmary.

Severus entered the infirmary in a hurry. �Poppy where are they?� He demanded once seeing the older witch.

�Severus calm down. Everything is alright. Sarah Beth and Harry are in the room through those doors. I�ll be in there in a minute.� She answered the worried father, and pointed to the private room.

Once he got to the door he composed himself before entering, he didn�t want to let his angel see how worried he was. He opened the door, and found his daughter asleep on the bed with his husband seated beside her.

�What happened Harry?� He asked, seeing the tears threatening to escape his husbands eyes.

� I don�t know Sev. She had just produced her patronus, and then�. sh-she just collapsed.� He tried to explain, recalling what had happened in his class only moments ago. � She hasn�t woken up yet.� He added.

Severus pulling his husband up from his chair to hold him. �Love, don�t worry. She�s going to be okay.� He tried to comfort his young husband. They shared a look of worry at their daughter, before Severus sat and pulled Harry onto his lap.

�There was something else odd Sev�rus. When she fell, she bumped her arm.� He said, nodding to the now visible bruise. �� Poppy cant get the bruise to go away.�

The two sat like that for a few minutes before a rustle next to them drew their attention.

�Daddy?� Sarah Beth called to them.

�Yes sweetheart, were here don�t worry.� Harry answered her while Severus went to get Poppy.

�You gave us quite a scare little angel.� Severus added when returning to the room. He sat on the bed next to his daughter, gathering her up in his arms as she snuggled up against him.

Poppy came in soon and cast many complicated charms on their daughter to try and decipher what had made her lose consciousness.

An odd look crossed Poppy�s face when she finished.

�Well, Poppy what is it?� Harry asked desperately.

�I�m not sure Professor�� she paused �� I have an idea but I need to go check something first.� She finished, and left the room in a hurry.

Sarah Beth is scared to death
To hear what the doctor will say
She hasn't been well Since the day that she fell
And the bruise, it just won't go away
So she sits and see waits with her mother and dad ((( Or Papa and dad )))
and flips through an old magazine
Til the nurse with the smile
Stands at the door
And says will you please come with me

The three sat in silence until Poppy returned, each to afraid to speak.

�Well Poppy, do you know what�s the matter?� Harry asked once again.

Poppy paused before answering, looking utterly distressed. �Sarah Beth has bloed kanker.�

�Whats that?� Sarah Beth asked

�It�s a form of cancer Miss Potter Snape.� She supplied. Severus felt his husband tense when Poppy had mentioned cancer, he had no idea why. He looked to Harry seeing tears running down his cheeks he had a feeling that cancer was a very bad thing.
