Chapter 2

I\'m back everyone!

Yet again, I\'ve been having computer problems. I\'ve finally got my computer hooked up by remote access from my boyfriend\'s computer, so I have access to all my writing again!

I apologise for the lack of chapter title and quote for this chapter, but I wanted to get it out as soon as possible.

More coming very, very soon!

Hermione woke with a start.
The room was still dark and the wind howled at the window.
She closed her eyes, half sitting up, trying to work out what the nightmare had been.
She frowned as she realised she hadn\'t been woken by one.
The shutters covering her window creaked loudly and she guessed she\'d been woken by the storm, which seemed to have increased in intensity since she\'d arrived.

Yawning she tried to decide whether to roll over and go back to sleep, or get a drink first.
She decided upon the latter, and walked over to the small en-suite bathroom.

She gulped down a glass of water in front of the mirror; thankful it wasn\'t a talking one, as her hair was in a terrible state.

Suddenly there was a loud crash from downstairs, and the sound of splintering glass, followed by a scream.
She jumped as there was another loud crash followed by a long, deep rumbling from outside, she could tell it was high above the pub; thunder.

The one downstairs had sounded like a shutter coming through the window.
She sighed deeply.
She couldn\'t even offer to help and repair the damage.

\"I could go and help shore up the gap though\" she mumbled, still half asleep, then chuckled. \"Oh sure, cause two big strong men would love a girl helping them out like that.\"
She finished the water and placed the glass on the sink, then turned and headed back to her bed.
There was noise outside her bedroom, it sounded like someone running upstairs, but the wind outside and the creaking of her shutters made it difficult to hear.

She guessed that Paul and John were sorting out the window downstairs. And possibly the other guest was helping.
She shivered and sat on the edge of the bed, stretching her arms.
She was about to pull her legs up and crawl under the duvet when her bedroom door exploded inwards.
Shards of wood flew everywhere and she screamed, putting her hands up to protect herself.

Someone stood in the doorway.
The room was dark, all she could see was a silhouette made by a small amount of light further down the hallway outside.
The person in the doorway turned their head and Hermione gasped as she saw the shape, and her eyes ran down its body confirming her fears.
She grabbed her wand from the bedside cabinet as the person raised their head and howled.
All of her hair stood on end with the sound. She\'d heard it before.
She pointed her wand at the creature and screamed \'Petrificus Totalis!\', but she wasn\'t quick enough.
The werewolf had jumped, roaring at her as it took her by the throat and bit deeply.
The next few seconds were lost in a blur of pain and a deep knowledge that she was going to die.

\"GET OUT!\"
Hermione could barely hear the voice behind the creature. She felt like she was drowning, there didn\'t seem to be any air.
\"How DARE you interrupt my research?\" continued the voice, angry, yet... calm.

The creature dropped its head, turning away from Hermione, sweeping her off the bed and onto the floor.

\"There are other villages, you idiot. Now get out of here. You KNOW I need this village. Now I shall have to repair the damage you have done.\" The voice was mocking, sneering, and yet the werewolf obeyed.

Hermione was confused, sure she was dreaming, stuck in a nightmare where it was almost impossible to breathe, where her body felt warm, fuzzy, not there.
The person crossed the room to the foot of the bed.
\"Well, at least she\'s alive.\" he said with no trace of emotion.

Hermione managed to raise her head to see the man who had saved her, she gasped as his eyes widened in fear.

\"You!\" exclaimed Snape, staring down at her.

\"You bas.....tard...\" spluttered Hermione before everything went black.
