- "I'm worried about the boy. He's seeing things. Either that ir he really was back." Minerva sounded sincerely worried.
"He could have been back to visit his grave," squeaked little Flitwick.
"He said he disappeared."
"He was on the highest tower. Anyone would have time to disappear. He could have known he was being watched and gone into the Forest until he knew no one would see him," argued Poppy.
"I say we let him grieve." The professors turned to look at Harry. "Let him come to the grave. Let him pay his respects. He owes him."
"How long have you been here?" Minerva asked. She stood and walked to the boy. "Poppy, blanket
Minerva took the offered blanket and put it around Harry's shoulders while Harry talked. "I was here before you all got here. But I think we should let him come back and tell Dumbledore he's sorry and all that."
He paused to let Minerva sit back down When she sat he looked around slowly at him professors' faces. "Did anyone keep an eye on me during the war? Did anyone see who fought by my side durring the war? Did anyone see me fight Severus exactly one year ago?" His professors looked guilty. Harry scoffed. "I didn't think so.
"Well let me answer those questions. When I fought Severus he never once attacked me. He let me attack him all I wanted. He was still acting like my teacher, not like Voldemort's follower.
"Only Remus watched me fight Voldemort during the war. But since he joined Sirius no one else knows that Severus fought by my side." He stressed the last three words.
"The war was over so quickly because of him. He defended me and Remus. When he left me he was so badly hurt that he could hardly speak, his arm was hanging, and he crawled away.
"Before he left he told me where he would be hiding, when he would visit, and when he would come out of hiding." Minerva went to say something, but Harry cut her off. "He isn't using magic, not even wards, so count that out as a way to find him. And I'm not talking till the time he told me to wait for comes. He isn't fully healed, if any of you even care, which I highly doubt.
"One more thing: I got a letter from him an hour ago. He confirmed it was him I saw last night at the lake." His voice lowered to a whisper and tears leaked out of the corners of his eyes; he was hurt. "Don't worry about my sanity. If it is questioned again, I'll join him."
With that, Harry left the staff room. All of the professors looked after him, stunned and mouths wide open.
"Well," Minerva breathed after a long pause.
"Yeah," Filius agreed.
