Chapter Two – Love and Family

"Thanks, for teaching me how to fly Ron. I'm sorry I made everyone not want to play Quidditch anymore." Roxy said. "It's okay, I'd rather hang out with you anyway" Ron said with a smile, as he got out his broom. "Really? That's awfully sweet of you to say", said Roxy. "Well" Ron said, swinging a leg over his broom, "hop on." "What if I fall?" Asked Roxy nervously. "Don't worry just hold onto me and if you lose your grip, I'll catch you", Ron assured her. "You Promise?" asked Roxy. "I promise" Ron answered, and off they went into the night.

Later on

"Wow! That was so much fun" exclaimed Roxy as she gave Ron a huge hug. "You're welcome" laughed Ron. "You did really well, now all you have to do is keep practicing." "You know, you are the first person besides Lupin that's treated me like a normal witch, and not like a danger" Roxy stated. "You're not dangerous to me, you actually seem really nice" Ron answered. "Yeah, well…." Roxy muttered sounding skeptical. "The others will come around Roxy, don't worry about it" Ron assured her. "Thank you that means a lot to me" Roxy replied. Suddenly the wind blew sending a chill throughout her body. "Getting a little windy and cold out" Ron stated."Here (taking off his jacket) take my jacket." "Are you sure?" asked Roxy. "Yes" said Ron laughing, "I can't believe Hermione tried to say that you were mean and evil." "Well, you never know Ron" Roxy replied slyly. "Ha ha, come on, let's go home" Ron said still laughing.

The Next Day

Roxy woke to the feeling of someone watching her. She opened her eyes though to an empty room. As she searched for what had awoken her, there was a knock at her door. "Come in" She called. "Morning, Roxy, though I would bring you some orange juice since I was up" Said Ron as he opened the door. "Thank you. Are we the only one's up?" asked Roxy. "Yep, except for my mum, dad, Lupin and the other Order members" Ron answered as he sat down next to her. "You know I had the strangest feeling, that I was being watched, just before you knocked" Roxy said. Before Ron could respond, someone knocked on the door. "Come in" called Roxy. " Good morning Roxy, Ron, said Lupin as he came in. " Couldn't help over hearing what you said Roxy, what you felt, were magical eyes, Molly put them in and I just asked her to remove them, because I know you are trustworthy" answered Lupin. "Oh, well okay then" said Roxy looking a bit hurt and confused. "Ron, your father told me he wants to see you" said Lupin. Okay, thanks Lupin, see ya later Roxy", said Ron as he left. "Bye Ron" called Roxy.

"Roxy" Lupin started, "Draco's on his way here to stay, he will be rooming with you." "Really Lupin? I can't wait to see him, I've missed him so much" Roxy gushed. "I know you have Roxy but, there might be problems" responded Lupin. "Like what Lupin?" asked Roxy in confusion? "Well, Ron and the others and Draco do not get along, if you want to have both of them you will have to put in some work" Lupin explained gently. "Roxy, its love and family to be honest. Ron is in love with you I'm quite sure, and I do believe your quiet in love with him" added Lupin. "Is it that obvious?" asked Roxy with a slight blush. "Yes, it is" laughed Lupin. "I'll see you later, Draco will be here after breakfast, come on let's go eat."

Later

After breakfast, Roxy was finishing her unpacking when a loud crack sound erupted from behind her. Startled she changed and launched herself onto her attacker, only to find herself on top of the twins, Fred and George. "Sorry about that, you scared me, I thought…..umm, never mind" said Roxy as she changed back to human form. "It's okay, our fault" Fred assured her. "Yes. Totally alright" added George as they stood and shook themselves off. "Can I help you?" Roxy asked a little unsure like. "Yes we were just wondering why Draco Malfoy is here, and why he is rooming with you?" they asked. "Oh well, he's me…he's …" started Roxy." Your boyfriend" they hatefully spat at her. "NO!" Roxy exclaimed, shocked by their change in tone. "Good" Fred said with a sigh," Because our little Ron would be crushed and devastated if he found out the girl of his dreams was with that thing Draco". "Why would he think that?" asked Roxy confused." Never mind that, what is he to you then, if he's not your boyfriend?" asked George. "Draco is my cousin, the only person who's not trying to kill me, or turn me over to the Dark Lord, and the only one who tried protecting me, when the Dark Lord wanted me to be a…a…..a death eater" answered Roxy as if she was reliving the day. "He's staying here, Lupin already told me that you guys don't get along" Roxy said sounding like she might cry. " Oh, wow, hey sit down, now don't get upset" said Fred leading her to the bed, noting that she tensed up as he did so, but brushing it off to consider later. "We didn't mean to upset you" said George sitting down on her other side. "We can try to get along with him" Fred said. "What? Really?" asked Roxy a bit teary sounding. "Yes, because well Ron is right you are amazing" answered George. "Thank you, so much guys" said Roxy, starting to smile, in relief. "We have something to tell you.

         Heromine is telling Ron that you date Draco, like telling him that you to are really together, if you know what I mean" said Fred. "She said that me and Draco did…were… eww, that's disgusting, he's my cousin. Unbelievable. Why would she say that, asked Roxy with disgust. "Well she likes Ron" answered George. "Oh, what am I going to do, Draco is on his way up here, right now" exclaimed Roxy bursting into tears. "Well, I think we are about to find out" said Fred" but don't worry we will stay here and help you out". "Thanks" answered Roxy, as thee was a knock at her door.

        "Come in" said Roxy as she cleared away her tears. "Roxy, it's me Draco….Roxy sweets, why are you crying, did you two do something to her" yelled Draco dropping his bags and pulling out his wand. "No….I'm fine Draco, they didn't do anything, I promise, it was actually Hermione" answered Roxy. "Oh... well then…Sorry to accuse you guys "said Draco. "Don't worry about it" answered the twins. "Well come (turning to Roxy) give me a hug. I've missed you so much" Draco whispered to Roxy as they hugged. Just as this was happening in burst Ron yelling "Roxy! What is this about you and Draco (seeing them) …..so … it is true, I guess Hermione was right, you are nothing but ta little who-"Whoa, little brother" interrupted Fred "before you say that, you may want this little piece of information. " Their cousins" added George. "So their …..cousins, you two are cousins not…umm, lovers?" Questioned Ron. " Uhh , yea were just cousins" answered Draco a little confused. "Oh, my, Roxy I'm so, so sorry" apologized Ron. "It's okay Ron, you were given bad information, not your fault" answered Roxy. Just then in rushed Lupin and Arthur. "What was all that yelling?" asked . "I believe it was a misunderstanding Arthur, is that right Roxy?" asked Lupin. "Yes, Hermione, she umm said something about me and Draco." Answered Roxy. "Oh, I'm sorry are you okay" asked Lupin. "Yea" she answered.

"Lupin" asked Ron hesitantly "can I ask your permission to ask Roxy to be my girlfriend? Dad?" "Well, its fine with me, if it's fine with Lupin" answered Arthur smiling. "That's fine with me, as well, but it is ultimately her choice, but Ron just remember what I become when the moon is full, should you ever hurt her" answered Lupin, somewhat dangerous sounding. "Yes sir." Answered Ron. "Roxy" started Ron. "Yes!" she said with excitement and with a slight blush. "That's my boy" said Mr. Weasley smiling. "Now why don't we let Roxy and Draco finish unpacking, and let them get caught back up. Come on now let's go".

"Lupin, can you stay for a minute" asked Roxy as the others left. "Sure" looking closely at her face, "What's wrong Roxy?" Lupin quickly asked with concern. "It's my arm Lupin, it's burning" Roxy answered. "How long" asked Lupin. "It started after breakfast" Roxy answered. "Hold on, and I'll get Arthur and Moody, we will see what we can do" stated Lupin said as he left.

"Rox, I'm so sorry, I feel like I failed you" confessed Draco. " Drakey, it's okay, we both should have known, he would go back on his word, remember, once the Dark Lord has chosen you to become his servant, there is no getting out of it" replied Roxy. "I believed him though Rox, I truly believed he would allow me to take your place, that he would forget all about you" replied Draco. "You couldn't have stopped him, he was kind enough though to have someone lese hold me down, while he marked me like an animal" said Roxy with sarcasm. "Roxy I'm still sorry" said Draco. "I know, and I forgive you, I mean not that I need to, because I never blamed you to begin with" replied Roxy. (Knock knock) "Come in" Draco called. "Okay, little lady, let's see your arm" said Moody as he came in. " Lupin…." Roxy nervously started. "It's okay, don't worry, Moody's going to see if we can remove it somehow" assured Lupin. "Okay" answered Roxy as she showed Moody her arm. "Am I blind, because I don't see anything" stated Moody. "Oh, sorry I have make-up on it, let me go wash it off" replied Roxy.

       "Lupin, I've never seen someone with the mark hate it, let alone enough to cover it up with make-up" quipped Moody. "Here" said Roxy once she was done, showing her arm again to Moody. "Oh, my it's so odd to see that horrible thing on such a sweet young lady" murmured Arthur. "Well we can remove it now, but it'll leave a nasty scar or we can put a fading potion on it, but you cannot put anything else on it, or it will not work" stated Moody. "So I can either scar or have everyone see my arm while it slowly fades, judging me constantly, like Hermione?" clarified Roxy. "Roxy" said Arthur as he sat beside her "this mark does not decide who you are, just because it stands for evil does not mean that you are. Don't be embarrassed, you should show this proudly, you will be the one to defy the Dark Lord and live." "Thanks Mr. Weasley. Mr. Moody I'll take the fading potion" decided Roxy. "Okay, you're just in luck miss, I have some on me right now, just hold still. It'll be a little cold" replied Moody. "Draco, do you want yours removed as well" asked Arthur. "Yes" answered Draco. "Well I'll have to make another bottle, can you wait?" asked Moody. "Yes, until then I'll keep mine uncovered, that way my sweet cousin here won't feel so weird" answered Draco. "That's very nice of you Draco, I wish my kids would act like that a bit more" replied Arthur. "Well we will see you guys at six for dinner" said Lupin. "Roxy remember that mark, does not define you" reminded Arthur. "I will Mr. Weasley" replied Roxy. (The three men leave)

     "Draco, I really hate having to keep this thing out here" cried Roxy breaking down into tears. "Oh, Rox, don't cry, please stop" replied Draco wrapping her in his arms. Just then the door flung opened and someone yelled. "See Ron, I told you, she's nothing but a whore" screamed Hermione. "Roxy, why are you crying, what happened" asked Ron as he pushes Hermione out of the way. "Shut the door" snarled Roxy. "Okay, but really are you okay" asked Ron with concern. "No, look at my arm" replied Roxy tearfully. "Oh, wow, umm, Lupin already told me, so you don't have to repeat the story, if it upsets you, I understand sweetie" replied Ron. "Well, I'm, going to step out and let you two talk, okay Rox?" asked Draco. "Oh, and Weasley, harm her, or upset her, and I'll harm you, got it?" said Draco smiling and clapping Ron on the back. (He leaves) "Was he kidding, because I'm really not sure if he was" asked Ron. "Oh yea…no he probably wasn't. Come here you big loof" replied Roxy smiling through her tears. "Loof? I don't appreciate that-…." Started Ron.
