Hermione ran through the underbrush as fast as she could. She heard as well as felt Ginny hot at her heels, she heard Ginny yelp in pain more than once as the branches slid off of her body only to whack Ginny behind her. The underbrush broke suddenly again and Hermione found herself about to fall into a stream. She yelled "Aqua Firmente" and casting a spell which allowed her to run over the water which felt spongy beneath her feet. As she dashed back into the underbrush on the other side she heard Ginny yell "Accio Vine" and knew she was still hot on her heels.
The Geo-Sensor vibrated in her pocket as she ran, it felt good. She burst into another clearing and almost ran straight into the Willow. Hermione spun around, breathless with her back against the tree when Ginny ran up to her pressing her body against Hermione, pinning her to the tree. Their lips were a fraction of an inch apart as they both stood there trying to catch their breath. Gazing into her eyes, Ginny slid her hand along Hermione's side slowly... until her hand slipped into Hermione's pocket and yanked out her Geo-Sensor. Hermione's jaw dropped open as Ginny took a step back, smiling.
She held the Geo-Sensor up to her nose and took a deep breath, and shivered. "Oh, you have been naughty." She looked down at the Geo-Sensor and then up at the Willow tree, "Very naughty." She tossed the Sensor back to Hermione and looked around. Hermione looked at Ginny closely now and realized that she was dressed in tight pink running shorts, sneakers and a pink running top. She wasn't dressed for caching, it probably caught her off-guard when the new cache was posted. Hermione had another edge here. She smiled and looked around trying to find the next stage, but Ginny must have seen something first because she darted to the tree and started to climb.
Hermione ran after her, trying to follow up the tree where Ginny led. "What are you doing?" she called out, "I'm just getting a better view is all" She laughed when she said that one.

"Like hell you are!"
Ginny tried to climb faster, she was being a bit careless as she tried to stay a step ahead of Hermione and missed one or two branches which allowed Hermione to catch up.

"Why don't you get your head out of my ass and give me some room!" Ginny yelled. Hermione pulled herself up only to ram her face right into Ginny's rear end. It caught her off guard and caused her to back off for a second.
"You bitch, you did that on purpose."

"Yeah, but you liked it. Didn't you?"

Hermione could still smell Ginny from their brief encounter, she knew she was wet too... she smelled delicious. And she knew that Ginny was just trying to throw her off her game, so she concentrated on finding her footing and climbing as quickly as she could. Looking up she finally saw what Ginny must have seen from the ground; a gray squirel with numbers in bright red painted across his belly hopping from branch to branch. They were about twenty feet up now and they both climbed up on opposite sides of the main trunk with the squirrel between them.
Looking at the numbers on it's tummy and saying them softly in her head Hermione saw an image in her mind of a cave. She knew the next stage had registered on her Sensor and she dropped from the branch muttering a simple spell under her breath to slow her fall just before she hit the ground. Ginny landed beside her as she slipped the Sensor into her pocket.
"So, you wanna team up?" asked Ginny, "We could be sooo good together you know."

"You know why I don't like caching with you?" asked Hermione, "Because we can be so bad together too... I really want to get a smiley on this one."

Ginny smiled and raised an eyebrow "I could help you get a smiley Hermione."
This was exactly what Hermione meant, Ginny was always teasing her since she found out they shared this hobby. They started to walk together and Hermione resigned herself to sharing the win on this one.
"Hey, did you ever find that cache over near the old Bridge... down in Sussexberg?" Ginny asked.

"Oh, that one was tricky... it's not a micro or anything...", Hermione tried to recall the details as they started walking together. "It was hidden behind a loose brick under the bridge... you have to levitate to get to it though."
Ginny looked thoughtful for a few seconds, nodding her head.

Hermione glanced over and asked "Did you ever solve 'One Quiet Night'?"

"Yeah, you have to go to the co-ordinates and be perfectly quiet for like a minute and then the cache starts glowing for you."

"Really? That sounds pretty cool... I hadn't thought of that."

"Oooh, Hermione didn't figure out a puzzle?"
Hermione gave Ginny a playful shove as they walked. "I would have figured it out... I just needed a little help, that's all."

They both started laughing as they walked through the woods.
"You know what I saw back there, as we were leaving the tree?"

"The willow? What?"

"A willow? Is that what that was? I saw another path, more or less back toward the ring-rock."

Hermione giggled a bit more. "It was probably a bewitched path... I don't remember seeing an entrace from the rings puzzle."

"Awww, you're just trying to make me feel better, aren't you?"
"Say, was there another path leading out? Maybe we should stop running through the woods like this."

By this point the underbrush was mostly gone so it was probably a moot point, but they looked around to see if they saw anything. they both kept walking in silence for a bit.

"Watch your step, puddle."

Hermione side-stepped a puddle, "Thanks."
The trees grew less and less dense, and soon patches of sky could be seen overhead. It wasn't long before they both spotted the pile of rocks up ahead and the opening in the middle leading down into the cave.
