Harry slowly blinked his eyes open, glancing around at his surroundings. He was surrounded by trees, tall maples and dark pines. Ahead, he spotted a stone archway. He wondered briefly why something like that was in the middle of a forest before his mind finally caught up and he wondered what he was doing in the middle of a forest.
Suddenly he heard a male voice whispering in his ear. “Go through the arch.”‘Great,’ he thought to himself. ‘Now I’m hearing voices too. Good job Potter.’Deciding he may as well follow the voices’ instructions, Harry headed through the archway. He felt a magic pulse wash over him, as if assessing him. He assumed he passed whatever scan the archway was putting him through when he managed to cross without somehow ending up dead.As soon as he stepped out on the other side, he found the scenery around him changing. Where before it had been all dense woods and trees, now a village seemed to sprawl out through the trees. He could distant cries and shouts coming from within the village, and what sounded like music. It sounded like whoever lived here was having a festival.Wondering if he should stay where he was or head towards the screams, the decision was taken out of his hands when he heard a voice speak to him through the trees.***Chiron watched as Dionysus poured himself another glass of wine, having just opened a fresh bottle of Merlot. And yet again, the wine changed to water, much to the continued displeasure of the God of Wine and Parties.Turning to the obstacle course going on in front of him, Chiron watched as Liam Smith, one of the rare war nymphs present at the camp, got his leg stuck in a ladder and began to get dragged around the obstacle pillar. Chiron saw the moment Percy, his favourite student if he was honest with himself, decided to help out a fellow camp dweller.Chiron was torn between feeling pride at the boy’s selfless nature and despair at how the others would perceive this. They would see it as weakness, for they were first and foremost children who did not know better.Just as he saw Percy fall to the ground and Liam hop onto the tower again, he felt a vibration run through his chest. Glancing over at Dionysus, he saw the god had put down the bottle of alcohol and was staring at him. Sighing, he nodded.“Yes yes yes, I’ll go see what’s wrong with the barrier.” Chiron grumbled, muttering about lazy gods as he walked towards the camp entrance.Arriving to the gate, he was met by the sight of a young boy, looking no older than fifteen, staring at the barrier and poking the stone gate. “Excuse me?” he asked, attempting not to startle the boy.Green eyes turned to gaze upon him, eyes so green they were a deep emerald, almost black. Eyes that sucked you into their darkness, that tempted you to get lost in them. They were set in an angular young face, contrasting his extremely pale complexion. His face was complimented by a button nose and pink lips that were naturally full and pouted. The boy was wearing faded jeans, an oversized shirt that swallowed his thin frame and a light jacket on top. There were ash smears on his face, and what seemed to be blood on one side of his shirt.Harry inspected that one who had spoken. He gazed at the tall centaur, his bronze hair sweeping his shoulders and complimenting his dark eyes. He held himself regally, as if he was above humans. Through his experiences with Bane, Harry knew that most centaurs like to think of themselves that way.“Where am I?” He finally questioned the creature, figuring that would be the best place to start.“You are at Camp Half-Blood, may I inquire as to how you found your way here?” Chiron asked, intrigued by the foreign accent coming from the young male.“Camp Half-Blood? That doesn’t sound promising.” Harry mused to himself, tone cynical. “I don’t know how I ended up here, one moment I was standing at the gate to my school then I found myself here.”Chiron filed away the first comment as well as the cynical tone used for future reference. He decided to find out as much as he could about this strange boy. Usually demi-gods knew where they were headed when they came to the camp, very rarely did they get someone who did not know. Even rarer was the face that the boy seemed to have been transported here, not guided.“I suppose I should tell you where you are in greater detail then. First let me introduce myself, I am called Chiron and I am one of the teachers and enforcers at Camp Half-Blood.” Chiron decided to go with the flow, the barrier would not have allowed the boy to pass if he had not God blood in him.“I’m Harry.” The boy answered simply, giving no further information about himself.“Alright then Harry. This is Camp Half-Blood—“Chiron got interrupted before he could finish.“What blood exactly?” Harry asked, tone showing a hint of tightly controlled anger.“Half God blood.” Chiron replied. He decided to elaborate after getting a raised eyebrow from Harry. “Sometimes Gods and Goddesses like to descend to Earth and how shall I say—get physical with humans. Sometimes, their union causes a child to form. That child becomes half human and half God, a half blood.”Here Chiron was interrupted yet again. “Let’s suspend reality and say that that made a lick of sense, what Gods and Goddesses are we talking about here?”Not appreciating the tone of condescension, Chiron answered testily, “The Gods and Goddesses of Olympus.”“Come again?” came the snide reply.“The Gods and Goddesses of Mount Olympus, those of ancient Greece. Surely you must have heard stories of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, and their brothers and sisters who rule over Mount Olympus?” Chiron questioned, truly perplexed now. The boy must have some knowledge about the Ancients if he managed to find the camp. Parents always told their children something about their heritage before placing them at the camp.“Yah, in primary school stories.” Harry sniped back. He was irritated, this by far had to be the weirdest day he has had, and that’s saying something with the life he had led so far.Chiron sighed, wondering what to do in this situation. Deciding that he should probably talk this over with Dionysus, he addressed the boy again. “Alright, let’s take a walk and go speak with the other camp coordinator, he may be able to shed more light on this situation. He may even know which Ancient’s offspring you are.”Turning towards the forest, Chiron headed towards the arena again, followed by Harry. This situation was strange to Chiron, never before had someone shown up to the camp completely unaware of their heritage before. Usually the human parents told their offspring who their God parent was before sending them to the camp. In Percy’s case, he had known at least what the camp was if not who his father was.Harry stared around, debating with himself on what to do next. He had no idea what this place was but being force transported from Hogwarts should have been impossible. There was obviously a powerful force at work here, it was the only explanation. He remembered the fact that he had been standing over Voldemort’s body, so he knew that he had killed the madman who had destroyed so many lives. The last thing he remembered was the Elder wand flying to his hand and his body collapsing. The significance was not lost on him. He had the Invisibility Cloak through his father. The Elder Wand through his enemy. And the Resurrection Stone, which he had been unable to throw away during his walk through the forest to meet his death, through his mentor. He was now officially the Master of Death, the possessor of all three Hallows.Whatever that meant.Loud cheering interrupted both beings from their thoughts, they had reached the arena just in time to see a girl reaching the top of the cylinder tower and grabbing a gold ring that was on the top. She held it up into the air and the arena erupted into cheers.“Clarice! Clarice! Clarice!”Harry watched as pandemonium broke out, everyone in the stands cheering and rushing towards the girl, who had climbed down the tower, avoiding the obstacles in her way.She came to a stop before him and Chiron, smiling smugly in happiness. "Chiron, did you see?""Yes I did Clarice, well done." Chiron praised her, though his polite smile towards the teenager didn't reach his eyes. The girl, Clarice, didn't seem to notice as her attention shifted to a man walking towards them. He was wearing a flower printed yellow shirt and shorts that came to his knees. His scruffy appearance left much to be desired, that was for sure. "Well done Clarice, new champion of the Challenge Column." He spoke towards the girl, sending Chiron a smug grin. His eyes trailed over to where Harry was standing, staring at him curiously. "Who's the squirt?"Harry's eyes narrowed in annoyance, he may not be American but even he knew an insult when he heard one. Chiron started talking before he could reply to the man however. "New camper, he just arrived through the barrier. That was the activity that we felt.""Ugh another one, which one's spawn is he?" the man replied, releasing a put upon sigh dramatically."We don't know." Chiron replied simply, sending him a reproachful look at his attitude."Hey water boy!" the girl, Clarice Harry reminded himself, suddenly shouted, startling Chiron and the man from their conversation about him.A boy looked over at her, sending her an irritated look. He was standing with a girl and a...boy if you could call him that. He looked like a boy if it wasn't for the horns of his head and the goat legs that Harry could see from where he was standing. The boy that Clarice had called moved over to them, followed by his companions. As they got closer Harry noted the grey eyes that the girl had, filled with the same look of genius that he associated with Hermione. He would bet all he had that this girl was the brains of the group. The boy had ocean blue eyes and a lithe muscular build, yet he looked not a day over eighteen. As he got closer, he started speaking to Clarice, his voice carrying over to them. "My name is Percy, not water boy Clarice. That's like me calling you War girl.""Go ahead, I am a war girl, I thrive off it." Clarice replied, not swayed at all by the glares she was getting from the boy's, Percy's, companions.“That’s enough guys, not in front of the new potential student.” Chiron reprimanded, trying to stop the arguments he could see brewing.“New kid huh? Whose spawn are you?” Clarice sneered, not finding much to the new kid when she looked him over.“We don’t know yet.” Chiron replied, tone reprimanding when he spoke to her. “We may have to wait for one of them to claim him.” “Claim me? What the hell is going on here exactly?” Harry finally snapped, tired of waiting for someone to explain this great big secret that they all seemed to share.“We don’t know who your godly parent is, we don’t even know if it’s your dad or mom, so we have to wait for them to claim you. That being said, no one knows when or how they will decide to do it. Just that they eventually will.” The girl with the grey eyes spoke up, looking him up and down shrewdly.“So you’re saying that I may never get claimed or something?” Harry asked, truly wondering about this place now. It sounded so strange to him. He knew his parents, Lily and James Potter, and if one of them had cheated on the other then surely someone from the wizarding world would have mentioned it to him, even in passing. After all, not much stayed a secret in their secret society.“It’s a possibility.” Grey eyes replied, having finished her assessment of him and apparently found him lacking, judging by her unimpressed look.“Let’s not be hasty now Annabeth, we don’t know too much about the situation yet.” Chiron interrupted, noticing Harry’s narrowed eyes at Annabeth. “Let’s head back to camp, have some lunch and see what happens from there. After all, we don’t know how the God’s think.”When no one moved to oppose him, not even Dionysus, Chiron turned and started trotting away, the group of teenagers following him. By the time they arrived back at camp, lunch was already waiting for them, the other campers split into groups and eating happily.Percy decided that there was nothing wrong with being nice to the new kid so went up to him. “Hey, you can join us for lunch if you like?”Harry looked around at the boy, Percy his mind supplied, he nodded absently. “Sure, thank you.”Sitting down, Harry watched and listened as Percy got into an argument with the goat man thing about how Clarice deserved to win the challenge because Percy had the saving people complex that made him abandon the game and go after someone who had been downed in the challenge. Not liking the similarities of the conversation going on around him to one he had had previously with his own friends, Harry tuned them out and focused on this new development in his life. Just before he had arrived here, he remembered hearing a voice. A male voice, calling out for their son to come find them.Did that possibly have anything to do with his current situation? Could that have been his ‘god parent’ looking for him? Did this mean his mom had cheated on his dad? And what about that other voice, the one who had told him to go through the barrier? Maybe he was just going crazy, hearing and actually listening to voices in his head. Before he could think more on it, Harry was snapped out his thoughts by a deep rumbling under his feet. “Did anyone feel that?” He heard goat boy ask before suddenly their goblets all tipped over, spilling drinks everywhere as the rumble became a mini earthquake, their plates sliding off the table as everything around them shook for a few seconds.“I felt that!” Percy quipped, belatedly answering his friends question.“What is going on?” Harry questioned, following the other’s example when they stepped away from the table and moved out of the lunch area.“The barrier, there’s action at the barrier.” Grey eyes (Annabeth his mind supplied helpfully) informed them before jogging out into the field, all the students following her.Harry stared as a giant blue bubble seemed to form around the camp area, it’s lights materializing before disappearing, materializing again after a few moments as if someone was hammering on it. All of a sudden there was an explosion and the barrier shattered like glass, revealing the horns of a massive golden bull, its horns long and sharp, charging right at them.“RUN!” Came a scream from one of the campers in the back of the group, causing everyone to scatter and run for their lives. Harry was pulled along by Percy, who didn’t want the new kid to be left alone to face a giant bull.Harry allowed himself to be pulled along, not sure if he would be able to navigate the area and not even sure if he could take on a giant metal bull. The bull though, seemed like it wanted to take him on, whether he liked it or not.As they were running, Percy let go of his arm, his eye catching Clarice about to jump off a roof with a spear, aiming for the bulls back. Percy went to go help her, forgetting about Harry for that moment, causing Harry to keep running only to end up at a dead end near a stone wall.Percy went to Clarice, who had missed her target and was now unconscious on the floor. He watched as the bull opened its mouth, about to throw flames at them when suddenly it stopped. It’s eyes, gears in their place, shifted to look to the side.Percy followed its gaze, looking to see Harry standing against a dead end wall, completely helpless. The bull let out a snort of smoke before lining up its body, head down, horns pointed directly at Harry before it charged, and aiming straight for the new camper.Percy wanted to yell, to scream at him to run but he knew it was too late; he would never get out of there in time. Suddenly the bull came to a screeching halt, seemingly encountering a wall of pure energy, unable to move a single step forward.Dark smoke billowed down from the sky, welling up from the ground before twisting into a small tornado, exploding outward and disappearing to reveal a figure within its remnants. Harry stared at the man, long billowing black hair and a cloak as black as night was all he could see from behind him.Percy stared at the man as well, but he knew who he was. Sure he had looked very different the last time they met but he knew who it was, even if this time he was wearing armor, an ancient helmet and had his arm extended outward, towards the bull, his fingers crackling with energy. “Hades.”Thrusting his arm towards the bull, Hades released a wave of energy, blowing the bull up from the inside out, causing him to explode and his gears to roll around everywhere. He dropped the barrier that he had put out, reaching up and taking off his battle helmet at the same time. He glanced briefly at Percy, the offspring of Poseidon before dismissing him. He wasn’t here for him today. Turning in a full circle, he finally saw the person he had come for.Seated on the ground was a boy, no more than seventeen though he looked fourteen, staring up at him through emerald eyes. His son.Their evaluation of each other was interrupted however by the sound of another voice, whining about something or another. “Dammit Jackson, don’t you know how hard it is to come by a Colchis Bull! Now you had to go and destroy it!”Hades cut off the complaining idiot before he got too carried away. “He didn’t do it, son of Hermes. I did.”The new arrival raised his blond head, looking over at the god of the underworld and paling in fear. “H…Hades?” he whispered, fearing for his life with his master not being here.“I know what your plan is and I know what you have taken, it would be so easy for me to stop you. But I will let you continue, not for the sake of prophecy but for the sake of something else. Your plan might just teach Zeus a lesson, a lesson that is long overdue. He had no right to do what he did, and this is his punishment.” Hades ranted, not realizing that no one actually knew what he was talking about. “But know this Luke, son of Hermes, you come near my son and no revenge or prophecy will save you from me!”“Son?” three voices exclaimed, Harry’s being the loudest of them all.“I suppose explanations are in order huh, explanations that are just between you and me son.” Hades murmured before he abruptly turned around and grabbed Harry, holding him close in his arms and disappearing in a cloud of smoke.Percy and Luke stared at where the two had been a moment before in wonder before Luke turned to Percy, staring at him in confusion. His speech didn’t seem worth it now so he activated his teleport and disappeared. He had a master to inform of this new twist.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SO...thoughts?
